AIM:To observe the effect of the plus power ring zone(PPRZ)area and distribution on myopia progression.METHODS:This retrospective study enrolled 137 pre-teens aged 8-12 at Taiyuan Aier Eye Hospital between 2019 and 2021. They were fitted with Ortho-K lenses for the first time due to refractive error, with a one-year follow-up period. To indicate the peripheral plus ring zone overlapping with the pupil zone(PPROPZ)accompanying PPRZ, participants were divided based on the PPROPZ to PPRZ ratio. The experimental group had 103 eyes with a PPROPZ to PPRZ ratio of ≥0.2, and the control group had 103 eyes with a ratio of <0.2. Participants had a spherical diopter in the range of -6.00 D to -0.75 D, against-the-rule astigmatism less than 1.00 D, with-the-rule astigmatism less than 1.50 D, and corneal curvatures of 39.00 D to 46.00 D. They had a stable best corrected visual acuity of 0.10 LogMAR(20/25)or better when wearing orthokeratology(Ortho-K)lenses. PPRZ and PPROPZ were measured using ImageJ; corneal topography assessed corneal-related parameters, and an optical biometer measured the axial length of the eyes pre and post-one years of lens wear.RESULTS: Changes in axial length elongation were found to decrease when either the PPRZ(P<0.01)or PPROPZ(P<0.001)was increased significantly. The axial length growth was faster in the control group(0.37±0.2 mm)than in the experimental group(0.21±0.11 mm). Furthermore, we found that a larger horizontal visible iris diameter(HVID)corresponded to slower axial growth of the eye. In contrast, axial length growth showed no correlation with surface regularity index(SRI), surface asymmetry index(SAI), flat keratometry value(Kf), steep keratometry value(Ks).CONCLUSION:For orthokeratology, wearers with larger PPROPZ to PPRZ ratio usually experiences a reduction in axial length growth. The PPRZ and PPROPZ are negatively correlated with the axial length. Our findings provide a recommendation and methods for studying the myopia control mechanism through Ortho-K lenses.

Iron overload is strongly associated with heart disease. Ferroptosis is a new form of regulated cell death indicated in cardiac ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury. However, the specific molecular mechanism of myocardial injury caused by iron overload in the heart is still unclear, and the involvement of ferroptosis in iron overload-induced myocardial injury is not fully understood. In this study, we observed that ferroptosis participated in developing of iron overload and I/R-induced cardiomyopathy. Mechanistically, we discovered that Parkin inhibited iron overload-induced ferroptosis in cardiomyocytes by promoting the ubiquitination of long-chain acyl-CoA synthetase 4 (ACSL4), a crucial protein involved in ferroptosis-related lipid metabolism pathways. Additionally, we identified p53 as a transcription factor that transcriptionally suppressed Parkin expression in iron-overloaded cardiomyocytes, thereby regulating iron overload-induced ferroptosis. In animal studies, cardiac-specific Parkin knockout mice (Myh6-CreER ^T2 /Parkin ^fl/fl ) fed a high-iron diet presented more severe myocardial damage, and the high iron levels exacerbated myocardial I/R injury. However, the ferroptosis inhibitor Fer-1 significantly suppressed iron overload-induced ferroptosis and myocardial I/R injury. Moreover, Parkin effectively protected against impaired mitochondrial function and prevented iron overload-induced mitochondrial lipid peroxidation. These findings unveil a novel regulatory pathway involving p53-Parkin-ACSL4 in heart disease by inhibiting of ferroptosis.

To promote the standardization and normalization of perioperative care for follicular unit extraction(FUE) hair transplantation, ensure treatment efficacy, and align with advancements in the specialty, the Nursing Branch of the Chinese Association of Plastic and Aesthetics organized a panel of domestic experts. By integrating evidence-based medicine with clinical practice experience, and following thorough discussions, these experts developed the Clinical Practice Expert Consensus on Perioperative Nursing Care for Follicular Unit Extraction (2025). This consensus provides a comprehensive overview of hair transplantation, covering preoperative preparation, surgical procedures, intraoperative coordination, postoperative management, and complication prevention and treatment. It serves as a key reference and guide for implementing standardized perioperative nursing care in FUE hair transplantation.

Objective:To explore influencing factors affecting the prognosis of patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) receiving immunotherapy based on hematologic indexes, thus to construct and evaluate a nomogram prediction model.Methods:The clinical data of 80 patients with advanced NSCLC treated with programmed death-1 inhibitor monotherapy or combination regimen from January 2018 to June 2020 at the Affiliated Hospital of North China University of Science and Technology and Tangshan People's Hospital were retrospectively analyzed. Hematologic indexes at the baseline, the optimal remission and the progressive disease (PD) were collected separately, and independent influencing factors for patient prognosis were analyzed using Cox proportional hazards regression model. A nomogram prediction model was constructed based on the results of the multifactorial analysis, and the predictive performance of the model was evaluated by receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve, concordance index (C-index) and calibration curves.Results:As of the follow-up cut-off date, of the 80 patients, 63 had PD, with a median overall survival (OS) of 16.9 months. Univariate analysis showed that, age ( HR=2.09, 95% CI: 1.17-3.74, P=0.013) , number of treatment lines ( HR=2.23, 95% CI: 1.21-4.12, P=0.010) , lymphocyte to monocyte ratio (LMR) at the baseline ( HR=0.75, 95% CI: 0.57-0.97, P=0.028) , D-dimer ( HR=1.00, 95% CI: 1.00-1.00, P=0.002) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) ( HR=1.01, 95% CI: 1.00-1.01, P=0.006) at the optimal remission, haemoglobin ( HR=0.97, 95% CI: 0.96-0.99, P<0.001) , D-dimer ( HR=1.00, 95% CI: 1.00-1.00, P=0.002) , C-reactive protein ( HR=1.01, 95% CI: 1.00-1.01, P=0.011) , albumin (ALB) ( HR=0.91, 95% CI: 0.87-0.96, P=0.001) , neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio (NLR) ( HR=1.16, 95% CI: 1.05-1.27, P=0.002) and LMR ( HR=0.62, 95% CI: 0.42-0.90, P=0.012) at the PD were all influencing factors for the prognosis of advanced NSCLC patients receiving immunotherapy. Least absolute shrinkage and selection operator regression were used to screen the variables for P<0.10 in the univariate analysis, and nine possible influencing factors were obtained, which were age, fibrinogen and LDH at the optimal remission, haemoglobin, D-dimer, C-reactive protein, LDH, ALB and LMR at the PD. Multivariate analysis of the above variables showed that, age ( HR=0.91, 95% CI: 0.86-0.97, P=0.004) , LDH ( HR=1.01, 95% CI: 1.00-1.01, P=0.013) and ALB ( HR=0.82, 95% CI: 0.67-0.99, P=0.041) at the PD were independent influencing factors for the prognosis of patients with advanced NSCLC who received immunotherapy. The area under curve of the nomogram predicting model based on the above indexes, 1- and 2-year OS rates of patients were 0.77 (95% CI: 0.65-0.89) and 0.75 (95% CI: 0.66-0.88) , respectively, and C-index was 0.71 (95% CI: 0.64-0.78) , the calibration curves showed good consistency between predicted and actual probability of occurrence. Patients in the low-risk group ( n=40) had a median OS of 29.9 months (95% CI: 22.5 months-NA) , which was significantly better than that of the high-risk group ( n=40) [13.4 months (95% CI: 11.4-23.5 months) , χ2=11.30, P<0.001]. Conclusion:Age, LDH and ALB at the PD are independent influencing factors affecting the prognosis of patients with advanced NSCLC receiving immunotherapy, and the nomogram model constructed based on the above indexes has good differentiation and calibration for predicting 1- and 2-year OS rates in advanced NSCLC patients receiving immunotherapy.

ObjectiveTo explore the therapeutic effect and mechanism of Guipitang on rats with myocardial ischemia. MethodFifty SD rats were divided into five groups： a control group， a model group， low and high-dose Guipitang （7.52， 15.04 g·kg^-1） groups， and a trimetazidine group （0.002 g·kg^-1）. By intragastric administration of vitamin D₃ and feeding rats with high-fat forage and injecting isoproterenol， the rat model of myocardial ischemia was established. After drug treatment of 15 d， an electrocardiogram （ECG） was performed to analyze the degree of myocardial injury. A fully automatic biochemical analyzer was used to detect the changes in the serum levels of total cholesterol （TC）， high-density lipoprotein cholesterol （HDL-C）， triglyceride （TG）， and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol （LDL-C）. Hematoxylin-eosin （HE） staining and Masson staining were used to observe myocardial histopathological changes. TdT-mediated dUTP nick end labeling （TUNEL） staining was used to detect cardiomyocyte apoptosis. Western blot was adopted to detect the protein levels of extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/2 （ERK1/2）， phospho-ERK1/2 （p-ERK1/2）， p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase （p38 MAPK）， phospho-p38 MAPK （p-p38 MAPK）， B-cell lymphoma-2 （Bcl-2）-associated X （Bax）， Bcl-2， and cleaved cysteine aspartate proteolytic enzyme （cleaved Caspase-3）. ResultCompared with the control group， the ECG S-T segment decreased in the model group. The serum levels of TC， TG， and LDL-C were increased significantly （P<0.05）. The arrangement of myocardial tissue was disordered， and the proportion of cardiomyocyte apoptosis increased. The protein levels of cleaved Caspase-3， Bax， and p-p38 MAPK in the heart were increased， and the Bcl-2 expression was decreased （P<0.05）. Compared with the model group， the S-T segment downward shift was restored in the low and high-dose Guipitang groups and trimetazidine group， and the levels of TC， TG， and LDL-C were decreased. The protein expression of cleaved Caspase-3 and Bax in the heart dropped， and p-p38 MAPK and p-ERK1/2 protein expressions increased significantly （P<0.05）. The degree of myocardial injury was alleviated， and the proportion of cardiomyocyte apoptosis decreased. Bcl-2 protein expression was increased significantly in the low-dose Guipitang group （P<0.05）. ERK1/2 and p38 MAPK proteins had no significant difference among different groups. ConclusionGuipitang could alleviate myocardial injury and inhibit cardiomyocyte apoptosis in rats by activating the expression of ERK1/2 and p38 MAPK.

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the innovation and sustainable development ability of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) preparation in medical institutions, and to provide reference for the decision-making of administrative departments and the sustainable development of TCM preparation in hospitals. METHODS Based on the information data of 133 medical institutions in Zhejiang Province, analytic hierarchy process was used to construct the evaluation system of innovation and sustainable development ability of TCM preparation of medical institutions, and the prediction model of evaluation system of TCM preparation room/center was built by back propagation neural network. RESULTS The evaluation index system for innovation and sustainable development of TCM preparations in medical institutions included 4 second-level indexes and 19 third-level indexes. Among them, the number of varieties developed, the number of over one million varieties, the number of registered varieties, the way of research and development, and the area of preparation room had higher weight values, which were 0.15758, 0.12928,0.09343, 0.07879 and 0.07458, respectively. The entropy weight method and analytic hierarchy process index weights were used to construct the back propagation neural network. The overall correlation coefficients of the training models of the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm and the Scaled Conjugate Gradient algorithm were 0.98983 and 0.93480, respectively. CONCLUSION This study establishes a scientific and effective comprehensive evaluation system for the innovation and sustainable development ability of TCM preparations in medical institutions, which can realize the prediction and evaluation of the comprehensive ability of TCM preparations in medical institutions.

Objective:To evaluate the effects of fine particle matter(PM2.5)and ozone(O3)com-bined exposure on adenosine triphosphate(ATP)amount and ATPase activities in nasal mucosa of Spra-gue Dawley(SD)rats.Methods:Twenty male SD rats were divided into control group(n=10)and exposure group(n=10)by random number table method.The rats were fed in the conventional clean environment and the air pollutant exposure system established by our team,respectively,and exposed for 208 d.During the exposure period,the concentrations of PM2 5 and O3 in the exposure system were moni-tored,and a comprehensive assessment of PM2 5 and O3 in the exposure system was conducted by combi-ning self-measurement and site data.On the 208 d of exposure,the core,liver,spleen,kidney,testis and other major organs and nasal mucosal tissues of the rats were harvested.Each organ was weighed and the organ coefficient calculated.The total amount of ATP was measured by bioluminescence,and the ac-tivities of Na+-K+-ATPase and Ca2+-ATPase were detected by spectrophotometry.The t test of two inde-pendent samples was used to compare the differences among the indicator groups.Results:From the 3rd week to the end of exposure duration,the body weight of the rats in the exposure group was higher than that in the control group(P＜0.05),and there was no significant difference in organ coefficients be-tween the two groups.The average daily PM2 5 concentration in the exposure group was(30.68±19.23)μg/m3,and the maximum 8 h ozone concentration(O3-8 h)was(82.45±35.81)μg/m3.The chemi-luminescence value(792.4±274.1)IU/L of ATP in nasal mucosa of the rats in the exposure group was lower than that in the control group(1 126.8±218.1)IU/L.The Na+-K+-ATPase activity(1.53±0.85)U/mg in nasal mucosa of the rats in the exposure group was lower than that in the control group(4.31±1.60)U/mg(P＜0.05).The protein content of nasal mucosa in the control group and the exposure group were(302.14±52.51)mg/L and(234.58±53.49)mg/L,respectively,and the ac-tivity of Ca2+-ATPase was(0.81±0.27)U/mg and(0.99±0.73)U/mg,respectively.There was no significant difference between the groups.Conclusion:The ability of power capacity decreased in the rat nasal mucossa under the sub-chronic low-concentration exposure of PM2 5 and O3.

OBJECTIVE To explore the distribution of airborne pollen in Cangzhou,to analyze the correlation between pollen characteristics,meteorological factors and the rate of allergic rhinitis visits,and to provide a reference basis for the precise prevention and treatment of allergic rhinitis in Cangzhou.METHODS The gravity deposition method was applied to collect daily airborne pollen from the monitoring sites in Cangzhou from March to October 2022 and record the pollen species and quantities.We also collected information on allergic rhinitis patients who visited the ENT Department of Cangzhou Central Hospital during the same period and meteorological data(daily maximum temperature,minimum temperature,maximum relative humidity,maximum precipitation,and maximum wind speed at ground level)during the same period,and analyzed the relationship between the number of AR patients'visits,the amount of pollen,and the meteorological factors.RESULTS 1.A total of 229 pollen exposures were collected from March to October 2022,totaling 19 368 pollen grains,of which 18 750 grains of pollen could be identified in 19 families and 618 grains were difficult to identify the families.2.There were two peaks of pollen during the period,in April and September respectively.Spring pollen to tree-based category,to the pine family,willow willow family,Xylariaceae(ash)most often;summer pollen volume has declined,but still tree-based category;fall pollen to herbaceous category,to the Asteraceae Artemisia,mulberry,Gramineae most often.3.The pollen concentration in Cangzhou City was negatively correlated with maximum humidity,maximum precipitation,maximum temperature,and minimum temperature.Maximum wind speed at ground level was positively correlated with pollen concentration.4.Pollen concentration was positively correlated with the number of visits.The correlation analysis between daily medical visits from June to October and air pollen concentration showed a significant positive correlation,while the results from March to May showed no significant correlation.CONCLUSION The peak of airborne pollen dispersal in April and September in Cangzhou.Spring and summer pollen is dominated by tree species,and the dominant pollen is Pinaceae,Willow genus of Populus,and Xylariaceae(ash genus);fall pollen is dominated by herbaceous species,and the dominant pollen is Artemisia,Asteraceae,Mulberry,and Gramineae.Meteorological factors are important factors affecting pollen concentration.Within a certain range,the lower the maximum humidity,the lowest maximum precipitation,the lower the highest or the lowest temperature,the higher the pollen concentration,and the pollen concentration is more affected by the lowest temperature.There is a correlation between pollen concentration and the number of AR patients'visits from June to October,which can be used as an environmental early warning indicator of the prevalence of AR.

In fixed prosthodontics, clear exposure of the preparation margin is the prerequisite for obtaining accurate digital impressions and improving the marginal fit of restorations. To resolve the issues associated with the cord retraction technique, such as pain, acute injury, and prolonged procedural time, this study proposes a new technology for intraoral digital impression taking with pneumatic gingival retraction. The new scanning head blows a high-speed airflow that instantaneously separates the free gingiva, locally exposing the subgingival preparation margin. Combined with the farthest point preservation stitching algorithm based on the distance from the normal vector and high-speed laser scanning photography, it achieves global preparation edge data and gingival reconstruction, realizing painless, non-invasive, and efficient precise acquisition of the preparation margin. Using this new technique, a patient with a full porcelain crown restoration on a posterior tooth was treated. The digital impression revealed a clear margin of the preparation, and the crown made from this data has a good marginal fit.

Abstract: Objective　To provide a scientific basis for improving the prevention and control strategies of dengue fever by analyzing the epidemiological characteristics and influencing factors of reported cases in Hainan Province from 2008 to 2023. Methods　Descriptive epidemiological methods were used to analyze the temporal, spatial, and demographic distribution characteristics and influencing factors of reported dengue fever cases in Hainan Province from 2008 to 2023. Spearman correlation analysis was used to explore the correlation between local cases and imported cases. ArcGIS 10.8 and R 4.3.0 were used for graphic production, and SaTScan 10.1.3 software was used for spatiotemporal scanning analysis. Results　From 2008 to 2023, a total of 810 cases of dengue fever were reported in Hainan Province, including 164 imported cases and 646 local cases. The 646 local cases reported from June to December, showed a significant seasonal pattern, with September to October being the peak months. The cases were mainly distributed in Haikou City (41.18%) and Ledong County (39.32%). There were two large-scale outbreaks of dengue fever in 2019 and 2023, with 302 and 328 local cases reported respectively (accounting for 97.52% of the total local cases). The male-to-female ratio of local cases was 1.57∶1, and cases in the age group of 25 to under 65 accounted for 69.50% of the total. The top three occupations of local cases were housework and unemployment (17.65%), migrant workers (17.34%), and business services (13.78%). From 2008 to 2023, a total of 164 imported cases were reported, with cases reported every month. The peak months were from June to November, accounting for 82.32% of the total imported cases. A total of 66 domestically imported cases were reported, originating from Guangdong Province, Yunnan Province, and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region; 98 cases were overseas imports, mainly from Thailand and Cambodia. The male-to-female ratio of imported cases was 1.65∶1, and cases in the age group of 25 to under 55 accounted for 68.29% of the total. The top three occupations of imported cases were business service (33.54%), housework and unemployment (10.37%), and farmers (9.76%). From 2008 to 2013, the years when domestic imported cases were reported in Hainan Province were 2014, 2018, 2019, and 2023, coinciding with the years local cases were reported from 2008 to 2013. There was a positive correlation between local cases and domestic imported cases (r=0.892, P<0.001), while no statistically significant correlation was found with overseas imported cases. Spatiotemporal scanning analysis detected 5 clusters, concentrated in September to October in the years 2019 and 2023. Conclusions　Dengue fever is prevalent in Hainan Province, mainly caused by imported cases leading to local outbreaks without forming local epidemics. It exhibits significant seasonal characteristics. Imported cases mainly originate from Cambodia, Thailand, and other Southeast Asian countries, as well as domestically from Guangdong Province, Yunnan Province, and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Local cases are mainly distributed in coastal cities and counties.
