Nervous system diseases， also known as neuropathies， encompass a wide range of conditions， primarily including Alzheimer's disease （AD）， Parkinson's disease （PD）， Huntington's disease， and other neurodegenerative disorders， as well as depression， subarachnoid hemorrhage， cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury， vascular dementia， and other neurological diseases. These diseases pose serious threats to the health and lives of patients， bringing heavy burdens to society and families. The pathogenesis of nervous system diseases is highly complex， involving mechanisms such as neuroinflammation， oxidative stress， apoptosis， endoplasmic reticulum stress， mitochondrial dysfunction， brain-derived neurotrophic factor deficiency， reduced cholinergic activity， axonal injury， and demyelination. In recent years， the incidence and mortality of nervous system diseases have been rising annually. Currently， western medicine primarily focuses on symptomatic treatment， often accompanied by many adverse reactions， including lethargy， excessive sedation， dizziness， headaches， tachycardia， liver function damage， metabolic disorders， and incomplete recovery after surgery. As a traditional Chinese medicine， Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma has effects such as promoting blood circulation， removing blood stasis， cooling the blood， clearing the heart， nourishing the blood， and calming the nerves. It can play a role in the treatment and protection against nervous system diseases through multiple targets， pathways， and mechanisms. Studies have found that the water-soluble phenolic acids and fat-soluble diterpenoid quinones in Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma are the main active ingredients for the treatment of nervous system diseases. This paper summarized the effects of the active components and compounds of Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma on nervous system diseases over the past ten years， aiming to provide a theoretical basis and research ideas for the development and application of active components and compounds of Salviae Miltiorrhizae Radix et Rhizoma in nervous system diseases.

The pathogenesis of central nervous system （CNS） diseases is complex， seriously affecting patients' physical and mental health and imposing a heavy economic burden on society. Western medicine shows limited efficacy in treating CNS diseases and is often associated with numerous adverse reactions and contraindications. Chinese medicine Lycii Fructus exhibits multiple pharmacological effects， including immune regulation， enhancement of hematopoietic function， liver protection， anti-tumor， hypoglycemic， antipyretic， anti-aging， and anti-radiation activities， and has gradually been applied in clinical treatment. In recent years， the active components of Lycii Fructus have attracted considerable attention for their potential therapeutic effects on CNS diseases. Studies indicate that these active components may exert neuroprotective effects through anti-inflammatory and antioxidant actions， inhibition of neuronal apoptosis， and repair of neuronal damage， involving multiple targets and pathways. This review summarizes the therapeutic effects of Lycii Fructus active components in CNS diseases over the past decade by searching PubMed， CNKI， Wanfang Data， and other electronic databases， aiming to provide new treatment strategies and insights for future research on Lycii Fructus in CNS disorders.

INTRODUCTION: Pregnancy-associated breast cancer (PABC) is described as breast cancer diagnosed within pregnancy or within 1 year postpartum. PABC is becoming more common due to delayed childbearing, with older maternal age increasing the likelihood of tumorigenesis coinciding with pregnancy. Our review aims to outline the important principles of managing PABC, and discusses future fertility implications, genetic testing and postnatal considera-tions that are not often considered in other existing reviews. METHOD: A literature search was conducted using PubMed, Cochrane and Google Scholar databases. RESULTS: A persistent breast mass in pregnant women should be evaluated with a breast ultrasound. Total mastectomy is the standard treatment in the first trimester. Chemotherapy is contraindicated in the first trimesters, but can be given in the second and third trimester, and stopped before 35 weeks. Radiotherapy should be delayed until delivery, and hormone receptor therapy is contraindicated in pregnancy. A multidisciplinary team involving an obstetrician, medical oncologist and other allied health professionals is crucial. Delivery should be planned as close to 37 weeks as possible, and at least 3 weeks after the last chemotherapy cycle. Vaginal delivery is preferred, and breastfeeding can resume 14 days after the last chemotherapy regime. CONCLUSION A breast mass in a pregnant woman should not be dismissed. PABC must be managed by multidisciplinary teams at tertiary medical centres with access to surgery and chemoradiation therapies. Management strategies must include safe manage-ment and delivery of the fetus, contraception and future fertility planning.

Objective: To investigate the symptoms of depression and anxiety and their influencing factors in adolescents undergoing facial scar plasty, so as to provide insights into psychological interventions among them. Methods: The patients with facial scars who were 14 to 25 years old and admitted to the Department of Plastic Surgery, Hospital of Dermatology Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College were selected. General information and scar condition were collected through questionnaire surveys. Symptoms of depression and anxiety were assessed using the Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS) and Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS). The patients who scored 50 points and over in both SDS and SAS were identified as having depression and anxiety symptoms. Factors affecting depression and anxiety symptoms were identified using a multivariable logistic regression model. Results: A total of 108 adolescents undergoing facial scar plasty were surveyed, with a mean age of (19.16±2.03) years. There were 50 boys (46.30%) and 58 girls (53.70%). Depression and anxiety symptoms were detected in 62 cases, accounting for 57.41%. Multivariable logistic regression analysis showed that girls (OR=1.547, 95%CI: 1.072-2.231), unhealthy diet (OR=1.428, 95%CI: 1.120-1.820), high scores of pain (OR=1.677, 95%CI: 1.120-2.511) and high scores of scar severity (OR=1.629, 95%CI: 1.112-2.387) were associated with increased risks of depression and anxiety symptoms in adolescents undergoing facial scar plasty, while high scores of social support (OR=0.569, 95%CI: 0.348-0.931) and high scores of resilience (OR=0.465, 95%CI: 0.252-0.858) were associated with decreased risks. Conclusion Depression and anxiety symptoms are relatively prevalent in adolescents undergoing facial scar plasty, and are influenced by gender, diet, pain degree, scar severity, social support and resilience.

Purpose/Significance The relative positions of causality words are utilized to assist deep learning models to improve cau-sality prediction and mine medical text gain information.Method/Process The relative position information of causality words in medical texts is represented as a relational feature layer embedded in a pre-trained language model,and the baseline model is integrated for enti-ty recognition and relationship extraction.Result/Conclusion The F1 value of the model embedded in the relational feature layer is im-proved by 2.92 percentage points and 6.41 percentage points compared with the baseline models BERT-BiLSTM-CRF and CasRel,re-spectively,with better causal prediction capacity.

Neurodegenerative diseases are a group of diseases caused by degeneration and dysfunction of the cells and tissues of the central nervous system， mainly including Alzheimer's disease （AD）， Parkinson's disease （PD）， and epilepsy. A common clinical manifestation of these diseases is cognitive decline. Neurodegenerative diseases are more common in the elderly. As population aging is aggravating， neurodegenerative diseases have aroused increasing concern since they seriously affect human health and quality of life. The pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases is complex， mainly related to mitochondrial dysfunction， apoptosis， neurotoxin， neurotransmitter abnormalities， oxidative stress， and inflammation. Although western drugs on the market can attenuate the symptoms of neurodegenerative diseases， they may induce severe adverse reactions and are thus not conducive to long-term use by the patients. The Chinese herbal medicine Angelicae Sinensis Radix was first recorded in the Shennong's Classic of Materia Medica （Shen Nong Ben Cao Jing）. It has the functions of activating blood， tonifying blood， modulating the immune system， regulating menstruation， and relieving pain. This paper summarizes the research progress in the effects of Angelicae Sinensis Radix and the prescriptions containing this medicine on neurodegenerative diseases in recent 10 years， aiming to provide a reference for the future application and research of Angelicae Sinensis Radix in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.

Objective This study aims to investigate the application of symptom group management using a mo-bile health platform in managing heart failure patients during convalescence.Methods The research involved pa-tients with chronic heart failure who were treated at a tertiary A hospital in Qingdao from June 2022 to December 2022.The experimental group consisted of 235 patients who were discharged after treatment in ward A,while the control group consisted of 235 patients who were discharged during the same period in ward B.The experimental group received an mHealth-based symptom clusters management program following routine continuous nursing and the control group was given routine continuous nursing after discharge.6 months after the intervention,the heart function status,self-care level,and quality of life were compared between 2 groups.Results The experimental group ultimately included 232 cases,while the control group ultimately included 225 cases.Furthermore,the cardiac functional status,level of self-care,and quality of life of both the experimental group and the control group showed improvement compared to the pre-intervention period(P＜0.05).The experimental group exhibited significantly better cardiac function status compared to the control group,and the experimental group demonstrated higher levels of self-care confidence,and quality of life relative to the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion The utilization of a mobile medical platform can enhance the management of heart failure patients'symptom groups,resulting in im-proved disease management efficiency.This platform provides patients with a comprehensive self-management plan,ultimately enhancing their self-management abilities and overall outcomes.

Objective To retrieve,analyse and integrate the best evidences in perioperative fluid management for elderly patients with hip fracture,therefore to provide references for patient care.Methods Following the 6S evidence model,databases and websites were searched to collect the evidences on perioperative fluid management of elderly patients with hip fracture.The searched databases including BMJ Best Practice,UpToDate,AAOS Clinical Practice Guidelines,ASBMR,ANZHFR,ESTES,NICE,SIGN,JBI,Cochrane Library,CINAHL,Embase,PubMed,Web of Science,CNKI,Wanfang Data,VIP database,CEBM Database,Medive,China Science and Technology Journal Database,SinoMed,and other websites about orthopaedics.The searched literatures included guidelines,clinical decision-making,best practices,expert consensus and systematic reviews.The time span for the published literatures was from the inception of the databases and websites to August 2022.Two researchers independently completed quality evaluations of the retrieved literatures,as well as extraction,assessment and integration of the abstracted evidences.Results A total of 15 articles were included,they were 2 guidelines,3 clinical decision-makings,1 best practice,7 expert consensus,and 2 systematic reviews.Thirty pieces of evidence were summarised from 7 aspects,covering multidisciplinary team collaboration,dynamic assessment and monitoring of fluid status,fluid resuscitation,fluid management before and after the surgery and health education.Conclusions This study summarised the best evidences in perioperative fluid management for elderly patients with hip fracture.The evidences provide an evidence-based solution which will enable the healthcare workers to fully combine the clinical scenarios,evaluate changes in fluid volume status dynamically,develope personalised fluid management strategies and improve patient outcomes.

Objective:To study the effects of plan-do-check-action (PDCA) cycle in quality improvement of neonatal resuscitation.Methods:From 2016 to 2020, the clinical data of neonates born in our hospital were analyzed. Neonates born during 2016 to 2017 were pre-PDCA group and neonates born during 2018 to 2020 were post-PDCA group. PDCA quality improvement included step-by-step, high-frequency and low-dose training, strengthening teamwork and adding equipment.Results:A total of 7 728 live-birth neonates were delivered before PDCA with 319 cases (4.1%) of asphyxia. 10 174 live-birth neonates were delivered after PDCA with 422 cases (4.1%) of asphyxia. The asphyxia rates showed no significant difference between the two groups ( P>0.05). The incidences of severe asphyxia before and after PDCA were both 0.8% without significant difference ( P>0.05). The success rates of resuscitation for severe asphyxia before and after PDCA was 27.9% and 44.9%, respectively, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05). The mortality rates within 7 d before and after PDCA were 0.5‰ and 0.1‰ respectively, without significant differences ( P>0.05). Conclusions:The implementation of PDCA cycle and step-by-step, high-frequency, low-dose neonatal resuscitation training can effectively improve the success rate of resuscitation in newborns with severe asphyxia.

Objective:To investigate the application values of bone marrow morphology, bone marrow immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) and cytogenetic testing in newly diagnosed multiple myeloma.Methods:A total of 280 patients with multiple myeloma who were newly diagnosed in Tianjin KingMed Diagnosis Center from September 2018 to August 2019 were collected. The bone marrow biopsy was carried out according to the routine method, and bone marrow morphology, bone marrow immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry immunophenotyping, FISH and cytogenetic testing were performed. The detection results of each method were compared.Results:In 280 patients, the bone marrow immunohistochemistry results showed that the median ratio of plasma cells was higher than those of bone marrow morphology (20 cases, 0.675 vs. 0.300) and flow cytometry (47 cases, 0.650 vs. 0.147), and the differences were statistically significant ( Z = -3.883, P < 0.01; Z = -5.947, P < 0.01). Flow cytometry results showed that the positive rates of CD38, CD138, κ, λ, CD56 and CD19 were 100.0% (280/280), 100.0% (280/280), 57.5% (161/280), 42.5% (119/280), 62.1% (174/280) and 19.3% (54/280); bone marrow immunohistochemistry results showed that the positive rates of CD38, CD138, κ, λ and CD56 were 98.9% (277/280), 98.2% (275/280), 57.5% (161/280), 42.5% (119/280) and 62.1% (174/280); there was no statistical difference between the two detection methods in the detection coincidence rate of the same detection index (all P > 0.05). Among patients who underwent FISH detection, the detection rate of gene abnormalities was 69.9% (93/133); the detection rate of abnormalities by direct fluorescence in situ hybridization (D-FISH) was 42.9% (57/133); the detection rate of abnormalities by CD138 immunomagnetic sorting myeloma cells (MACS)-FISH was 82.7% (110/133). Among patients who underwent G-band karyotyping, the detection rate of abnormal karyotype was 38.5% (85/221). FSIH, especially MACS-FISH, had a higher detection rate of cytogenetic abnormalities than G-band karyotyping, and the difference was statistically significant ( χ2 = 65.697, P < 0.05). Conclusion:The comprehensive application of bone marrow morphology, bone marrow immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, FISH (especially MACS-FISH), cytogenetic testing and other detection methods is more helpful for the diagnosis of multiple myeloma, and may be useful for prognostic judgment.
