1.Iodine nutrition status of Baoji population from 2016 to 2022

Objective:To analyze the iodine nutrition status of the population in Baoji City, Shaanxi Province after adjusting the salt iodine content, and evaluate the effectiveness of current prevention and control measures for iodine deficiency disorders (IDD).Methods:IDD surveillance data in Baoji City from 2016 to 2022 (from the Baoji Center for Disease Control and Prevention and the Baoji Maternity and Child Care Hospital) were collected, iodine content in urine of children aged 8 to 10, pregnant women and household salt was analyzed, and the thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) of neonatal heel blood was determined. Mann-Kendall test and linear trend χ 2 test were used to test the trend. Results:A total of 26 812 salt samples were tested from 2016 to 2022, with a median salt iodine concentration of 24.09 mg/kg and a qualified iodine salt consumption rate of 97.84% (26 234/26 812). A total of 17 877 urine samples of children aged 8 to 10 were tested, with a median urine iodine of 218.41 μg/L, 8 935 urine samples of pregnant women were tested, with a median urine iodine of 184.59 μg/L, and 121 607 blood samples of newborns were tested, with a median TSH of 2.00 mU/L. With the increase of years, there was no significant trend in the median of salt iodine, child urine iodine and maternal urine iodine ( Ztrend = 1.80, - 1.50, 0.30, P > 0.05), however, the median of neonatal TSH showed an overall downward trend ( Ztrend = - 1.97, P = 0.048). As the years increase, the proportion of qualified iodized salt (18 - 33 mg/kg of salt iodine), adequate iodine content of children (100 - 299 μg/L of urine iodine) and appropriate iodine content of pregnant women (150 - 249 μg/L of urine iodine) showed an increasing trend (χ 2trend = 122.74, 26.56, 28.43, P < 0.001), however, the proportion of TSH > 5.0 mU/L in neonatal heel blood decreased linearly (χ 2trend = 1 634.43, P < 0.001). Conclusions:From 2016 to 2022, the salt iodine content and iodine nutrition level of the population in Baoji City have met the national standard for eliminating IDD. It is recommended to strengthen the health education of scientifically eating iodized salt and supplementing iodine.
2.Iodine nutrition status of pregnant women in Baoji City Shaanxi Province during a three-year special action for prevention and control of endemic diseases (2018 - 2020)

Objective:To study the iodine nutrition status of pregnant women in Baoji City Shaanxi Province, and to provide basis for iodine supplementation scientifically in pregnancy period.Methods:From January 2018 to December 2020, 12 counties and districts in Baoji City were divided into 5 districts according to different directions each year, 1 township (sub-district office) was selected from each district and 21 pregnant women from each township (sub-district office) were selected, domestic salt samples and instant urine samples were collected to determine the contents of iodine.Results:A total of 3 783 pregnant women's domestic salt samples were collected, the median salt iodine was 24.00 mg/kg, the difference of median salt iodine among different years was statistically significant ( H = 118.22, P < 0.01). A total of 3 783 urine samples were tested, and the median urinary iodine was 192.44 μg/L. The median urinary iodine of pregnant women in urban, plain and mountainous areas (205.08, 193.61 and 182.75 μg/L) was significantly different ( H = 17.53, P < 0.01); the median urinary iodine of pregnant women in different pregnancy periods (early, mid and late: 194.47, 198.19 and 183.54 μg/L) was significantly different ( H = 6.18, P < 0.05). There was no significant difference in median urinary iodine of pregnant women among different ages ( H = 2.25, P > 0.05). Conclusions:The iodine nutrition of pregnant women in Baoji City is generally at an appropriate level. It is necessary to strengthen the health education for key populations, advocate scientific consumption of iodized salt for improving their iodine nutrition.
3.Periprosthetic femur fractures after hip replacement:a report of 13 cases

Objective To investigate the effective methods for the treatment of periprosthetic fracture after hip replacement.Methods The clinical data of 13 cases underwent the artificial total hip replacement (THR) with postoperative periprosthetic femur fractures were analyzed.Results The happening time was 12 days to 2 years after primary THR.According to Vancouver classification,there were 2 cases of type A,two cases of type B1,7 cases of type B3,and 2 cases of type C.The treatment included nonoperative treatment in 2 cases,3 cases received open reduction with memory alloy encircling fixer fixation,one case received wire binding with autologous iliac bone grafting,7 cases received revisions with modular revision implant combined with wire binding and autologous iliac bone grafting.The stem was loosened in one type B1 patient at 3 months after surgery.X-ray examination showed that the fractures were united and no infection occurred after operation in 12 patients.No migration or breaking of the instruments was observed.The average Harris hip score was 81 (70 ~ 86points).Conclusion The effective treatment method of periprosthetic fracture after THR should determined by Vancouver classification,degree of bone defect and economic situation of the patients.
4.Fecal diversion in the management of pelvic fractures associated with perineal injuries

ObjectiveTo investigate fecal diversion in the management of pelvic fractures associated with perineal injuries.MethodsThis retrospective study involved 27 patients of pelvic fractures associated with perineal injuries during April 2005 to April 2011.There were 23 males and 4 females,and the mean age was 32.9 years old (range,16-62 years old).Fractures type according to Tile classification:4 cases were type A,10 cases were type B,and 13 cases were type C.The pelvic external fixator and fecal diversion were selectively used.Results Of the 27 patients of pelvic fractures associated with perineal injuries,24survived.The overall mortality of pelvic fractures associated with perineal injuries in the present study was 11%.The survived 24 patients were totally reviewed clinically.The mean follow-up time of these patients was 10.9 months (range,4-42 months).Of those patients who underwent early fecal diversion (< 48 h),none experienced infectious completions.However,of those underwent non-early (>48 h) fecal diversion (including those who did not undergo fecal diversion),four patients experienced infectious completions.Fisher's exact test was used to compare the infection rate of these two groups.And the result of Fisher's exact test demonstrated that those patients who underwent early (< 48 h) fecal diversion and non-early (>48 h) fecal diversion (including those who did not undergo fecal diversion).ConclusionStabilization of hemodynamic; selective fecal diversion; early stabilization of pelvic fracture are necessary for the emergency management of pelvic fractures associated with perineal injuries.Rectal injury and severe perineal injury without involvement of rectum should undergo fecal diversion.Early fecal diversion (< 48 h) could reduce the infection rate of pelvic fractures associated with perineal injuries.
5.Influence of an anti-integrin α6 monoclonal antibody on the in vitro infection of human HaCaT keratinocytes with human papillomavirus (HPV) 6/11 virus particles

Objective To investigate the influence of an anti-integrin α6 monoclonal antibody (GoH3) on the in vitro infection of a human keratinocyte cell line HaCaT with HPV6/11 virus particles (VP). Methods HaCaT cells were infected in vitro with 4 different concentrations of HPV6/11 VP alone, HPV6/11 VP of 106 copies/ml after incubation with 6 different dilutions of GoH3, or 8 clinical isolates of HPV6/11 VP of 106 copies/ml before or after the incubation with 1∶ 100 dilution of GoH3. After additional culture, the infected HaCaT cells were collected and fluorescence quantitative (FQ)-PCR was performed to detect the HPV DNA load in cells. The inhibition rate of CoH3 on the infection was calculated. Results The viral load was different among the HaCaT cells infected with different concentrations of HPV6/11 VP (P < 0.01). The inhibition rate on the infection positively correlated with the concentration of CoH3 when the dilution was more than 1∶ 100; however, when the dilution was less than 1∶ 100, the increase in CoH3 concentration had no influence on the inhibition rate. The average viral load in HaCaT cells infected with clinical isolates of HPV6/11 VP was (5.81 ± 2.51) × 104 copies/ml in the absence of GoH3, (3.02 ± 1.21) × 104 copies/ml with the presence of CoH3, and the average inhibition rate of GoH3 was (46.9 ± 4.7)%. Conclusions GoH3 could partially suppress the adhesion of HPV6/11 VP to HaCaT cells, hinting that integrin a6 is an important HPV6/11 VP receptor on host cells.
6.Detection and typing of HPV DNA in clinical specimens by polymerase chain reaction assays

Objective To assess polymerase chain reaction(PCR)combined with restriction fragment length polymorphism(RFLP)and gene sequencing technologies in the detection and typing of HPV DNA.Methods Tissue specimens were collected from skin diseases and venereal disease in perianal or genitals.PCR was performed with HPV DNA general primers(MY09/11)in tissue samples. Positive fragments of HPV DNA were purified and digested by restriction enzymes.The digested fragments were typed by po]yacrylamide gel electrophoresis(PAGE).The Resultswere verified by direct sequencing.Results In 50 clinical samples there were 35 HPV DNA positive,including 26 from patients with condyloma acuminatum,8 from patients with bowenoid papulosis,and 1 from patients with squamous cell carcinoma.In HPV DNA positive samples,19 were HPV6,3 were HPV11,8 were HPV16,4 were HPV6 and HPV 11,and I was HPV62.Sequencing Resultswere in accordance with the PCR-RFLP Results .Conclusion PCRRFLP method is effective in the detection and typing of HPV DNA.
7.Expression of integrin α6 mRNA in skin lesions of patients with condyloma acuminata

Objective To investigate the expression of integrin α6 mRNA in skin lesions of patients with condyloma acuminata. Methods Sixty outpatients with condyloma acuminate, including 30 primary cases and 30 recurrent cases were enrolled in the study;30 non-condyloma acuminate patients undergoing circumcision were used as normal controls. The expression of integrin α6 mRNA in condyloma acuminata lesions of primary and recurrent cases, as well as in skin samples of normal controls were determined by RTPCR. ANOVA was used to compare the differences among the groups, and Student-Newman-Keuls test(q test)was used for pairwise comparisons. Results Relative contents of integrin α6 mRNA(integrin α6/GAPDH)in normal controls, primary and recurrent condyloma acuminata lesions were 0.25±0.10, 0.79±0.16 and 1.07±0.29, respectively, and the difference was of statistical significance(F=127.687, P=0.001). Conclusion Integrin α6 may be associated with the pathogenesis and recurrence of condyloma acuminate, which may provide a new target for prevention and treatment of the disease.
