Objective To provide a scientific basis for vector prevention and control in port areas, vector monitoring has been conducted continuously to characterize the composition, density, and seasonal fluctuations of vectors across 21 port-areas of Shandong province from 2017 to 2023. Methods In accordance with the Regional Vector Monitoring Plan for Frontier Ports, vector surveillance of mosquitoes, flies, cockroaches, rodents, and other disease vectors was performed. Data were analyzed to describe vector community composition and identify seasonal fluctuations. Results A total of 601 rodents belonging to 1 family, 4 genera, and 4 species were captured. Three dominant rodent species inhabit port areas. In addition, 88 104 mosquitoes were captured and classified into 3 subfamilies, 4 genera, and 12 species; 38 959 flies were trapped and classified into 8 families,31 genera, and 51 species, including 9 dominant fly species in port-areas; and 54 672 captured cockroaches were classified into 2 families,4 genera, and 4 species, with Blattella germanica as the dominant species. Conclusions Significant vector community changes(P<0.005)have been identified after the epidemic. To improve the pertinence and efficacy of port health quarantine work, continuous and strong attention should be paid to vector compositions and population densities at Shandong ports.

Thoracolumbar spine fracture often leads to severe pain, functional impairments, and neurological deficits, for which open reduction and internal fixation can effectively restore the spinal structural stability. Open decompression and reduction with internal fixation can help relieve spinal cord compression and improve spinal function in cases of concomitant cord injury. Although spinal stability can be restored through surgery, patients often face chronic pain and functional impairments postoperatively. A postoperative rehabilitation program is critical in optimizing therapeutic outcomes, reducing complications, and minimizing the risk of secondary injuries. However, current rehabilitation methods, such as physical therapy, functional training, and pain management, are confronted with problems in clinical practice, including significant variation in efficacy, poor patient adherence, and prolonged rehabilitation period. There is an urgent need for a unified rehabilitation strategy to address these problems. To this end, the Spinal Trauma Group of the Orthopedic Physicians Branch of the Chinese Medical Association and the Spine Health Professional Committee of the Chinese Human Health Technology Promotion Association organized experts from relevant fields to formulate Evidence-based guidelines for rehabilitation treatment after internal fixation of thoracolumbar spine fracture in adults ( version 2025) by integrating evidences from clinical researches and advanced rehabilitation concepts at home and abroad. A total number of 14 recommendations concerning the rehabilitation treatment with multimodal analgesia, psychological intervention, deep vein thrombosis prevention, core muscle and extremity exercise, appropriate use of braces, early weight-bearing, device-aided rehabilitation exercise, neuroregulatory therapy, rehabilitation team were put forward, aiming to standardize the post-operative rehabilitation process following internal fixation, promote the functional recovery, and enhance patients′ quality of life.

Acute symptomatic osteoporotic thoracolumbar compression fracture (ASOTLF) can lead to chronic low back pain, kyphosis deformity, pulmonary dysfunction, loss of mobility, and even life-threatening complications. Vertebral augmentation is currently the mainstream treatment method for this condition. In 2019, the Editorial Board of Chinese Journal of Trauma and the Spinal Trauma Group of Orthopedic Surgeons Branch of Chinese Medical Doctor Association collaboratively led the development of Clinical guideline for vertebral augmentation for acute symptomatic osteoporotic thoracolumbar compression fractures. Six years later, with advances in clinical diagnosis and treatment techniques as well as accumulating evidence in related fields, the 2019 guideline requires updating. To this end, the Spinal Trauma Group of Orthopedic Surgeons Branch of Chinese Medical Doctor Association, the Spinal Health Professional Committee of China Human Health Science and Technology Promotion Association, and the Minimally Invasive Orthopedics Professional Committee of Shaanxi Medical Doctor Association have organized experts in the field to develop the Clinical guideline for vertebral augmentation of acute symptomatic osteoporotic thoracolumbar compression fractures ( version 2025) , based on the latest evidence-based medical researches. This guideline incorporates 3 recommendations retained from the 2019 version with updated strength of evidence, along with 12 new recommendations. It provides recommendations from six aspects of diagnosis, pain management, treatment option selection, prevention of postoperative complications, anti-osteoporosis therapy, and postoperative rehabilitation, aiming to provide a reference for standard treatment of vertebral augmentation for ASOTLF in hospitals at all levels.

Objective:To investigate the effectiveness of methylene blue in pain management after costal cartilage removal. Methods:A prospective, randomized controlled trial was conducted from June 2023 to March 2024. Female patients undergoing rhinoplasty with autologous costal cartilage transplantation were randomly divided into a methylene blue group and a control group. Before costal cartilage harvesting, patients in the methylene blue group received a 5 ml injection of 0.1% methylene blue solution into the skin and subcutaneous tissue of the costal cartilage donor site at the lower edge of the seventh costal cartilage or below the breast contour. Patients in the control group received an equal volume of normal saline injected into the same area. Postoperative management included routine observation and pain control (using oral analgesics and topical analgesia). Pain scores were assessed 24 hours after surgery using a visual analog scale (VAS, 0-10 points, higher scores indicate more severe pain) and a numerical rating scale (NRS, 0-10 points, higher scores indicate more severe pain), as well as the frequency of oral analgesics. Patients were followed up for postoperative complications within one month after surgery, and patient satisfaction with pain control was assessed using a self-made 5-point questionnaire (higher scores indicate greater patient satisfaction). Quantitative data were compared between groups using the independent sample t-test; qualitative data were compared between groups using the chi-square test. P<0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results:A total of 112 female patients were enrolled. Fifty-six patients were in the methylene blue group, aged (35.4 ± 5.6) years (range, 18-55 years), and 56 patients were in the control group, aged (36.1 ± 6.0) years (range, 19-54 years). The methylene blue group had significantly lower oral analgesic use 24 hours after surgery than the control group [(1.5±0.5) times vs. (4.7±1.2) times], with statistically significant differences ( P<0.05). The methylene blue group also had significantly lower VAS scores (3.2±1.2 vs. 5.8±1.3) and NRS scores (3.5±1.0 vs. 6.2±1.1) 24 hours after surgery than the control group ( P<0.05). At one-month follow-up, the incidence of postoperative complications in the methylene blue group was significantly lower than that in the control group [10.7% (6/56) vs. 21.4% (12/56)]. Patient satisfaction in the methylene blue group was significantly higher than that in the control group [4.5 ± 0.6 vs. 3.2 ± 0.8]. The differences were statistically significant ( P< 0.05). No serious adverse reactions were observed in either group. Conclusion:Methylene blue has a good analgesic effect after costal cartilage transplantation, reducing the need for analgesics, and no significant adverse reactions were observed.

Objective:To investigate the expression, prognosis, and role of G protein-coupled receptor kinase-interacting protein 1 (GIT1) in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) tumor micro environments. Methods:Clinical data of 140 cases who underwent complete HCC surgical resection from January 2015 to December 2021 in Subei People's Hospital affiliated to Yangzhou University, Jiangsu Province, were included. Tumor tissue and adjacent tissue samples were collected for immunohistochemical analysis. The patients were divided into a high expression group and a low expression group according to the expression of GIT1. Cox regression was used to analyze the risk factors for prognosis in patients with HCC. Fifteen pairs of cancer tissues and adjacent tissues were randomly matched for quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), western blot (WB), and immunohistochemical analysis. GITI knockout or overexpression cell lines of human hepatoma cell lines HepG2, HuH7 and MHCC97-H, and mouse hepatoma cell line Hepa 1-6 were constructed. The effects on M2 macrophage polarization were analyzed by flow cytometry. A mice tumor model was constructed. The growth curve of tumor tissue overexpressing GIT1 was plotted. Bioinformatics analysis of the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) data was performed using OncoLnc, Kaplan-Meier Plotter, UALCAN, and GEPIA databases to explore the differential expression of GIT1 in HCC patients and its effect on prognosis. Results:Bioinformatics analysis showed that the expression level of GIT1 was significantly higher in HCC tissues than in normal liver tissues ( P<0.05). RT-PCR and WB experiments showed that GIT1 was highly expressed in HCC. The follow-up results showed that high expression of GIT1 was associated with poor prognosis in patients with HCC. The high expression of GIT1 was an independent risk factor for the prognosis in patients with HCC ( HR=2.562, 95% CI: 0.231-0.704, P<0.05). Functional enrichment analysis combined with TIMER database analysis found that GIT1 expression level was associated with multiple immune cell infiltrations in HCC, but the correlation coefficient with macrophage infiltration was the highest ( r=0.545, P<0.001). Mice tumorigenesis experiments showed that the tumor volume of GIT1-overexpressing mice was significantly increased ( P<0.05). Additionally, flow cytometry indicated that after GIT1 overexpression, there was a low degree of M1 infiltration/polarization (wild type: 5.06%±0.11%, overexpression type: 4.09%±0.04%; P<0.05) and a high degree of M2 infiltration/polarization (wild type: 10.20%±0.33%, overexpression type: 14.7%±0.12%; P<0.05). Conclusion:GIT1 serves as a prognostic biomarker in HCC, promoting tumor progression through its high expression and enhances M2 macrophage infiltration.
