Objective To analyze the related factors of retinopathy in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and explore the discriminant efficiency. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 314 elderly patients with T2DM who were treated in Beijing Aerospace General Hospital between April 2022 and April 2025. The related factors of retinopathy in elderly patients with T2DM were explored by logistic regression analysis. ROC curve was drawn to analyze the discriminant efficiency of related factors. Results Compared with the patients in the non-concurrent group, the patients in the concurrent group had a longer course of diabetes mellitus, a higher level of glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c), and higher proportions of diabetic peripheral neuropathy, hypertension history, high myopia history and smoking history (P<0.05). After logistic regression analysis, the course of diabetes mellitus, HbA1c, diabetic peripheral neuropathy, history of hypertension and history of high myopia were found to be related factors of retinopathy in elderly patients with T2DM (P<0.05). Based on the above related factors, a model was established for ROC curve analysis, and it was found that the area under the curve was 0.935, with sensitivity, specificity, and 95%CI being 0.867, 0.916, and 0.890-0.979, respectively. Conclusion Course of diabetes mellitus, HbA1c, diabetic peripheral neuropathy, history of hypertension, and history of high myopia are related factors of retinopathy in elderly patients with T2DM. These related factors demonstrate good discriminant efficiency on retinopathy in elderly patients with T2DM.

Purpose To investigate the clinicopathological features,diagnosis,and molecular genetic characteris-tics of central nervous system(CNS)high-grade neuroepithelial tumors with BCOR alterations.Methods Five cases of CNS high-grade neuroepithelial tumors harboring BCOR alterations were collected.Using immunohistochemistry and molecular detection to analyze its clinical and histological characteristics,and review relevant literatures.Results A-mong the 5 patients,3 cases with EP300 ∷ BCOR tumor(male-to-female ratio 2∶1).These tumors were located in supratentorial regions(right temporal lobe,right frontotemporal lobe,and right frontal lobe).The 2 patients with BCOR-ITD tumors were younger,both with tumors located in the left cerebellum.Imaging studies revealed well-defined large mass lesions in all cases.Histologically,all 5 cases tumor exhibited ependymoma-like or oligodendroglioma-like morphology,featuring uniformly oval or round cells.Focal areas showed increased cellular density,nuclear enlarge-ment,and readily identifiable mitotic figures indicative of anaplastic features.A rich capillary network was frequently observed in the stroma.Palisading necrosis,microcystic changes,and microcalcifications were present in 3 cases.Im-munohistochemically,all 5 cases consistently expressed vimentin and CD56,focal Olig-2 positivity,variable S-100 ex-pression,and were uniformly negative for GFAP.BCOR immunostaining was weakly positive in 1 case with an EP300∷ BCOR fusion and strongly positive in 2 cases with BCOR-ITD.NGS identified an EP300 ∷ BCOR fusion in 3 cases,and Sanger sequencing confirmed the ITD in exon 15 of BCOR gene in 2 cases.During a follow-up period of 8 to 77 months,one pediatric patient with a BCOR-ITD tumor died,while the remaining four patients were alive with no evi-dence of recurrence or metastasis.Conclusion BCOR-ITD and EP300 ∷ BCOR fusion tumors are similar in morphology and immunophenotype,and the incidence rate of BCOR fusion tumors may be underestimated.NGS sequencing based on DNA and RNA and DNA methylation spectrum analysis are helpful for accurate diagnosis of this type of tumor.

Objective To investigate the diagnostic value of serum levels of leukocyte cell derived chemo-taxin 2(LECT2)and tumor necrosis factor ligand-related molecule-1A(TL1A)in children with atopic der-matitis(AD).Methods A total of 83 children with AD who were adimitted to the hospital from August 2021 to August 2023 were selected as the AD group,and 83 healthy children who underwent physical examination in the hospital during the same period were selected as the control group.Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)was applied to measure the expression levels of LECT2 and TL1A in serum.Spearman method was applied to analyze the correlation between serum LECT2,TL1A,and AD integral index(SCORAD).Multiva-riate Logistic regression was applied to analyze the factors that affected the severity of AD in children.Receiv-er operating characteristic(ROC)curve was applied to analyze the diagnostic efficacy of serum LECT2 and TL1A levels on the severity of AD in children.Results Compared with the control group,the expression lev-els of LECT2 and TL1A in the serum of the AD group were significantly increased(P＜0.05).Compared with the low-grade group,the serum LECT2,TL1 A,SCORAD score,EOS and total IgE in the moderate and severe groups were significantly increased in turn(P＜0.05).According to Spearman correlation analysis,the serum levels of LECT2 and TL1A in the AD group were positively correlated with the SCORAD score(r=0.776,0.693,both P＜0.05).According to the results of multivariate Logistic regression analysis,serum LECT2、TL1 A、EOS and total IgE were risk factors affecting the severity of AD in children(P＜0.05).In ad-dition,the combination of serum LECT2 and TL1A had the highest AUC for diagnosing the severity of AD in children,which was better than the individual diagnosis of serum LECT2 and TL1A(Z=2.249,1.989,P=0.025,0.047).Conclusion The elevated levels of serum LECT2 and TL1A in children with AD are closely re-lated to the severity of the disease,and the combination of the two can better evaluate the severity of the dis-ease in children with AD.

In recent years, there emerges various researches on image processing method for musculoskeletal ultrasonography, especially for dynamic ultrasonography. Objective To understand the relationship of anxiety and depression with AIDS knowledge,cognition of risk and sex behavior among young men who have sex with men(YMSM).Methods The study was conducted by the snowballs sampling method for the recruitment and serological examination of YMSM aged 15-24 in Mianyang city,Sichuan province.The anxiety and depressive symptoms were assessed by the self-rating anxiety scale (SAS) and the self-rating depression scale (SDS).Chi-square test was used to implement single-factor analysis and non-conditional logistic regression for multiple-factor analysis.Results Totally 356 cases completed the SAS and 355 cases completed the SDS.And the total scores of SAS and SDS were (42.96± 10.81) and (45.63± 12.40).The detection rates of anxiety and depressive symptoms were 23.60％ and 33.24％ respectively.There was no statistical difference in the incidence of HIV infection with or without anxiety and depression (x2=2.235,1.718,both P＞0.05),and there was a statistical difference in the incidence of syphilis infection (x2 =6.840,P＜0.05).Multi-factor analysis results showed that HIV infection risk awareness(β=1.101,P=0.015),number of anal sex in nearly 1 week (β=1.111,P=0.005),and the diagnosis of STD in nearly 1 year(β=1.996,P=0.010) were independent factors influencing anxiety symptoms,meanwhile occasional sex in nearly six months (β=0.692,P=0.037),and the number of anal sex in nearly one week (β=0.969,P=0.012) were independent factors in depressive symptoms (P＜0.05).Conclusion The detection rate of anxiety and depressive symptoms among YMSM is high.Anxiety and depressive symptoms are related to AIDS related factors,which has certain characteristics to the YMSM sex behavior and is of great health risk.AIDS prevention should combine behavior with psychological intervention.

Objective: To understand the homosexual behavior and related factors among married MSM in Mianyang city. Methods: Between January and October in 2017, a snowball sampling method was adopted to carry out cross-sectional survey through questionnaires plus HIV testing among those MSM in Mianyang city. Logistic regression model was used to analyze homosexual behaviors and related factors among married MSM under study. Statistical analysis was used by EpiData 3.1 and SPSS 19.0 software. Results: A total of 234 MSM participated in this survey. The overall rate of homosexual behavior in these married MSM appeared as 94.9% (222/234). Rate of having anal sex behavior was 94.4% (221/234) in the past 6 months, with rate of condom use as 57.9% (128/221). HIV positive rate was 8.1% (18/222). As for the motives for homosexual behavior after marriage, 87.8% (195/222) were driven by feelings of love, 12.2% (27/222) due to 'releasing pressure’. Proportion of male sex partners would include occasional sex partners (62.2%, 138/222), stable male sex partners (26.1%, 58/222) and stable boyfriends (11.7%, 26/222). Factors from logistic regression analysis showed that homosexual behaviors were related to the factors including education level of senior high school or above vs. education level of junior middle school or below (OR=3.65, 95%CI: 1.33-9.98); local residency over one year vs. the ones having local residency less than one year (OR=23.28, 95%CI:1.67-324.89); having 10 or more friends in the MSM community vs. having below 10 friends in MSM community (OR=4.15, 95%CI: 1.28-13.43); without sex pleasure with spouse vs. having sex pleasure with spouse (OR=3.25, 95%CI: 1.22-8.62); having 2 or more anal sex partners in the past 6 months vs. having less than 2 anal sex partners in the past 6 months (OR=0.28,95%CI: 0.09-0.81). Conclusions The rate of homosexual behavior and HIV positive rate were high among MSM in Mianyang city. Homosexual behaviors after marriage were influenced by multiple factors among MSM. The motives of homosexual behavior after marriage were driven by feelings of love, the related factors were education level of senior high school or above, local residency over one year, having 10 or more friends in the MSM community and without sex pleasure with spouse. As for the motives of these behaviors was caused by releasing pressure, the related factors was having more than 2 anal sex partners.

Objective:To evaluate the expression of CXCR4 and the migration rate of bone marrow stromal CD34+cells in differ-ent risk groups with myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) using correlation analysis. Methods: Forty MDS patients were divided into low-and high-risk groups based on the International Prognosis Scoring System (IPSS). The former was composed of 20 patients with IPSS<1.5, whereas the latter was composed of 20 patients with IPSS≥1.5. Bone marrow (BM) samples of these patients and 10 nor-mal controls were collected. CD34+cells were separated and purified. The expression of CXCR4 was determined by flow cytometry. The migration rate of CD34+cells on the chemotactic effect of SDF-1αand on the effect of bone marrow stromal cells were measured. Results:The expression rate of CXCR4 was higher in the high-risk MDS group than in the low-risk and control groups (P<0.000 1). No significant differences existed between the low-risk and the control groups (P>0.05). The migration rate of CD34+cells on the ef-fects of SDF-1αand marrow stromal cells were significantly increased in the high-risk MDS group compared with those in the low-risk and control groups (P<0.000 1). Migration rate of CD34+cells on the effect of marrow stromal cells was positively correlated with CX-CR4 expression (P=0.000 1). Conclusion:The CXCR4 expression and migration rates of CD34+cells on the effect of marrow stromal cells are significantly higher in the high-risk MDS group than in the low-risk group. Migration rate has a positive correlation with the CXCR4 expression, which further indicates that MDS is a heterogeneous group of hematopoietic stem cell malignancies. The expres-sion and function of SDF-1 and its receptor CXCR4 differ within each group with various risks. SDF-1 and CXCR4 may be involved in MDS pathogenesis.

Objective To investigate early Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) reactivation and the outcome of preemptive therapy after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT). Methods From January 2007 to January 2009, totally 277 patients after allo-HSCT were studied (haploidentical 116,unrelated 75, matched sibling 86). Conditioning regimens were mainly busulfan (BU) + cyclophosphamide ( CY)/fludarabine(Flu) or total body irradiation (TBI) + CY/Flu. Antihuman thymocyte globulin (ATG)was added in haploidentical and unrelated transplants. Plasma EBV DNA was monitored once to twice weekly in the first 3 months after allo-HSCT with real time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RQ-PCR). EBV viremia was diagnosed when EBV DNA was more than 5 × 102 copies/ml but without symptoms. Acyclovir (10 mg/kg, intravenous drip, 8 h) was used for preemptive therapy and immnuo-suppressants were decreased if possible. Results Totally 33 patients ( 11.9% ) developed EBV viremia with a median time at day 44 (day 19 to day 84). The incidences of EBV viremia in the transplants from matched sibling,haploidentical, unrelated donors were 0, 15.5%, 20. 0%, respectively. There was no significant difference between haploidentical and unrelated transplants ( P = 0. 09 ), but much less EBV viremia was seen in matched sibling transplant ( P = 0. 001 ). Twenty of 33 patients ( 60. 6% ) had complete response to preemptive therapy. The median time to reach EBV DNA negative in plasma was 11 (4-56) d. The median duration of preemptive therapy was 21 (14-60) d. Both univariate and multivariate analysis indicated that haploidentical and unrelated transplants, acute graft versus host disease (GVHD) were the risk factors for EBV viremia. Two-year overall survival in the patients with EBV viremia was significantly lower than that without EBV viremia (54. 2% vs 72. 1%, P = 0. 006 ). Conclusions Our large clinical study has demonstrated that preemptive therapy with acyclovir that is guided by EBV viremia is effective in majority of the patients with high-risk for EBV reactivation after allo-HSCT, which may further decrease the risk for developing life-threatening EBV disease or post-transplantation lymphoproliferative disorder. Haploidentical and unrelated transplants, acute GVHD are the risk factors for EBV viremia which has negative impact on survival.

Objective To explore the difference of immunosuppresive effect between the expanded Stro-1+ and Stro-1-subgroups of human mesenchymal stem cells in vitro. Methods Mononuclear cells (MNCs) were isolated from bone marrow (BM) samples and seeded in a T-75 cm2 tissue culture flask contained with Dexter medium. When 50% confluence was obtained, adherent cells were collected and incubated with anti-stro-1 antibody, and the Stro-1+ and Stro-1-MSCs were further seeded for expansion. The total culture time (median) was 15 days. Cells were then analyzed by flow cytometry. One-way mix lymphocyte reaction (MLR) (1?105 responding cells and an equal number of stimulating cells/well were co-cultured in 96-well plates) and nonspecific mitogenic stimuli phytohemagglutinin (PHA) plus interleukin-2 (IL-2) induced lymphocytes proliferation (PBL 1?105/well were mixed with PHA 10?g/ml and IL-2 500U/ml in 96-well culture plates) were established in vitro. 1?103-3?104 irradiated Stro-1+ MSCs and Stro-1-MSCs were added into the two systems at the beginning of reaction. Immunosuppressive actions of both Stro-1+ or Stro-1-MSCs were compared. Results Adherent cells contained a median of 9% (range 5%-26%) Stro-1+ cells, which expressed higher immunophenotype of MSCs. In both reaction systems, suppressive actions occurred in a dose-dependent fashion when whatever Stro-1+ MSC or Stro-1-MSC were added. However, that the addition of 1?103 Stro-1-cells enhanced rather than inhibited the lymphocyte proliferation in one-way MLR. In the presence of various concentrations of MSCs, Stro-1+ MSCs always showed a significantly increased inhibitory effects in comparison to Stro-1-MSCs (P
