A modified technique for emtrapment of the kidney using a sterilized zipper plastic bag was used. The upper lip of the zipper bag is sutured to the abdominal wall. A port is inserted through the extraction incision site (Pfannenstiel incision). A fan retractor is inserted through the port which scooped and delivered the specimen into the bag. Here, an alternative laparoscopic technique that involves inexpensive and readily available materials is described.
