1.Design and application of an alarm drainage bag based on magnetic control adjustment

Drainage technology is widely used in clinical practice.At present,the observation of drainage fluid mainly relies on long-term,intermittent manual monitoring and estimation by medical personnel.This method is not only time-consuming and labor-intensive,but also has low accuracy,improper implementation,however,may result in excessive drainage,potentially leading to a spectrum of complications.Therefore,there is an urgent need to develop an intelligent drainage bag capable of quantitative automatic alarm to achieve accurate quantitative control of drainage fluid.For this reason,School of Nursing,Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine and Dongguan Mengtai Nursing Products Co.,Ltd.designed an intelligent drainage bag based on magnetic control adjustment that can alarm,and obtained a National Utility Model Patent of China(Patent Number:ZL 2021 2 0238620.4),this device is mainly composed of drainage bag,alarm,electrode wire,magnet,metal positioning ball,using the principle that water can conduct electricity design circuit diagram,there is a magnet on the outside side of the drainage bag,through the magnet to the magnetic principle of the metal positioning ball to control the location of the positioning ball,when the drainage fluid triggers the positioning ball,that is,the drainage fluid reaches the predetermined value.The alarm alarms automatically.The device enables accurate and personalized control of drainage fluid,reduces the incidence of excessive drainage,and features low production cost and simple operation,and can be widely used in clinical departments,worthy of clinical practice and application.
2.Real experience of HIV/AIDS adolescents transitioning to adult healthcare: a Meta-synthesis of qualitative studies

Objective:To systematically evaluate the qualitative study on real experiences of HIV/AIDS adolescents transitioning to adult healthcare.Methods:The qualitative research on the real experiences of HIV/AIDS adolescents transitioning to adult healthcare was electronically searched in PubMed, Web of Science, CINAHL, Embase, Cochrane Library, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Data, VIP, and China Biology Medicine disc. The search period was from January 1, 2010, to November 5, 2024. The methodological quality of the included literature was evaluated according to the Joanna Briggs Institute Center for Evidence-Based Health Care Quality Assessment Criteria for Qualitative Research. The results were synthesized through the aggregate integration method.Results:A total of 11 articles were included, 52 outcomes were distilled, and similar outcomes were grouped into nine new categories, which were synthesized to form three integrative outcomes (attitudes toward transitioning to adult healthcare, multiple dilemmas faced in transitioning to adult healthcare, and need for comprehensive support during transition to adult healthcare) .Conclusions:HIV/AIDS adolescents have complex attitudes about transitioning to adult healthcare and face multifaceted challenges in the transition process. Healthcare professionals should pay attention to the real experiences of adolescents during the transition period and work with parents and peers to provide holistic support, and meet the diverse needs of adolescents.

The quality of the included studies was assessed using the criteria for evaluating the qualitative research quality of the Australia Joanna Briggs Institute Evidence-Based Health Care Centre. Meta-synthesis was employed to synthesize the results.Results:A total of ten studies were included, yielding 42 research results that were categorized into 11 themes. The final integrated findings were divided into three categories: professional caregivers' attitudes towards medical transition, barriers to medical transition for adolescents with chronic diseases, and factors facilitating medical transition for adolescents with chronic diseases.Conclusions:Professional caregivers' attitudes towards the medical transition of adolescents with chronic diseases are complex, with a perception of various barriers to the transition. It is essential for healthcare administrators to pay attention to these issues and implement targeted interventions. Furthermore, improving the transition service process will support adolescents in making a smooth and successful transition to the adult healthcare system.

7.Short-term knee function after total knee arthroplasty and related factors

ObjectiveTo investigate the short-term knee function recovery of patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty (TKA) after discharge and analyze its related factors. MethodsFrom December, 2022 to April, 2023, 140 adult patients who underwent TKA in Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital and being about to be discharged were selected as the survey subjects using convenient sampling. Potential influencing factors were selected based on a literature review. They were investigated with general information questionnaire, Rehabilitation Exercise Compliance Scale, Self-Efficacy Scale for Rehabilitation Exercise (SER), Visual Analog Scale for pain (VAS), and joint range of motion measurements before discharge, and were investigated with the Hospital for Special Surgery Knee Score (HSS) one month after discharge. ResultsA total of 130 patients finished follow-up. One month after discharge, the HSS score ranged from 40 to 82, with an average of (70.89±6.26). Multiple linear regression analysis revealed that Body Mass Index (B = -0.423, 95%CI -0.622 to -0.224, P < 0.001), pre-discharge VAS (B = -1.016, 95%CI -1.198 to -0.113, P = 0.028), rehabilitation exercise compliance (B = 0.267, 95%CI 0.121 to 0.413, P < 0.001), SER (B = 0.478, 95%CI 0.315 to 0.642, P < 0.001), and knee joint flexion contracture angle (B = -0.251, 95%CI -0.414 to -0.088, P = 0.003) could influence HSS score one month after discharge (R2 = 0.615, F =17.106, P < 0.001). ConclusionPatients after TKA have recovered well in short time after discharge, however, there is still significant room for improvement. Clinical healthcare providers should design and implement appropriate interventions based on related factors to improve the function.
8.Qualitative study on nurses′demand for nursing robot application scenarios in level3 general hospitals

Objective:To analyze the needs and recommendation of nurses in level3 general hospital for the application scenarios of nursing robots, so as to provide a basis for the design of intelligent machine systems to reduce the workload of nurses in the hospitals.Methods:Using phenomenological research methods, a total of 17 clinical nurses from Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital Affiliated to Medical School of Nanjing University, Zhongda Hospital Southeast University and the First People′s Hospital of Lianyungang from November 2021 to March 2022 were selected for semi-structured interviews. Colaizzi content analysis method was used to sort out the data.Results:Clinical nurses′requirements for application scenarios of nursing robots could be summarized into four themes: feasibility of clinical application of robot recognized by nurses; expected alternative care scenarios; summary of nursing robot design features; multiple factors limit the application of nursing robots.Conclusions:Clinical nurses have diverse requirements for the application scenarios of nursing robots, and only part of non-clinical tasks will be authorized to robots in a short period of time. In the face of future opportunities and challenges, with the help of policies, legal supervision should be strengthened, so as to improve the reliability and safety of clinical application of nursing robots.
9.Design and application of clinical decision support system in nursing

Clinical decision support system (CDSS) has been developed and integrated into clinical nursing system by building up rules and knowledge base through literature retrieval, expert argumentation, and situation analysis. With such algorithms as reasoning algorithm, case study, artificial intelligence and big data analysis, three modules have been constructed as follows. The first is an Intelligent Knowledge-based Decision Module composed of 15 document-driven knowledge-based decision-makers and 5 task-driven knowledge-based decision-makers. The second is an Intelligent Quality Control Recording Module which has achieved intelligent quality control of nursing records through Feedforward Control and Feedback Control. The third is an Intelligent Human-Computer Interaction Module which consists of real-time static interactions through e-board and dynamic reminders/alarms triggered by the system. CDSS, since in use, has reduced the incidence of adverse nursing events and problems of quality control in nursing records, and improved satisfaction of patients.
10.Qualitative study on influence of nursing home service experience on humanistic caring ability of nurses

Objective To understand the influence of nursing home service experience on humanistic caring ability of nurses.Methods Using the phenomenological method,15 clinical nurses after participation of nursing home service were interviewed,and the data were analyzed using 7 step Colaizzi method.Results 3 themes were extracted:service experience,the understanding of humanistic nursing care,influence of service experience on humanistic caring ability of nursing.Conclusions The participation of nurses in the nursing home services can promote the humanistic caring ability of nursing,which is a positive way of cultivating the ability of humanistic care ability.
