Objective To investigate the characteristics of cognitive inhibition in children with hearing impairment and the impact of different types of materials on their cognitive inhibition. Methods From June,2024 to January,2025,21 children with hearing impairment from Liaocheng Special Education School and 20 typically developing children from Guotun Town Central Primary School in Yanggu County,Liao-cheng were randomly selected.A directed forgetting task was used in a mixed experimental design. The experi-mental procedure was presented using Eprime 3.0,and recall performance was recorded through paper-and-pen-cil tests. Results Three children with hearing impairment and two typically developing children were dropped down. The children with hearing impairment scored significantly lower on recall tasks than the typically developing children(F=13.545,P<0.001).In the typically developing children, recall performance under the memory condition was sig-nificantly lower than under the forgetting condition(P<0.001).In the children with hearing impairment, there was no significant difference in recall performance between the memory condition and the forgetting condition(P>0.05).Regardless of whether the materials were letters or figures, all the children showed significantly high-er recall scores under the forgetting condition compared to the memory condition(P<0.01).Conclusion Children with hearing impairment exhibit weaker cognitive inhibition compared to typically developing chil-dren.The type of materials doesn't impact individuals'cognitive inhibition performance.

Objective To investigate the regularity of chronopharmacology of bruceolic oil emulsion ( BOE) in treating H22 tumor-bearing mice. Methods The KM mice model bearing H22 hepatocellular carcinoma was established. And then the model mice were divided into groups according to the condition of illumination and medicine intervention. After treatment for 10 days, the tumor-growth inhibitory rate, viscera indexes, and hepatic and renal function indexes were observed. Results Tumor mass and ratio of tumor mass to body mass were decreased in medication groups under the normal and disordered illumination. The tumor mass and ratio in mice treated with BOE before dark phase of normal illumination and disordered illumination, and during the dark phase of disordered illumination differed from those of the model group at the corresponding illumination phase (P<0.05) . Under normal illumination, BOE-treated mice at 10 pm of dark phase had lower liver index but higher thymus index than the model group (P < 0.05) . Under disordered illumination, BOE-treated mice at 7 am of dark phase had higher spleen index than the model group ( P < 0.05) . Conclusion BOE exerts certain inhibition of H22 hepatocellular carcinoma under both normal illumination and disordered illumination, and the effect will be better when medication is given in dark phase period.

Background Behcet's disease is a refractory panuveitis with high blindness rate.Multifocal electroretinography (mfERG) is a useful tool for the evaluation of the function of the posterior retina.ObjectiveThe aim of this study is to assess the characteristics of Behcet's disease using the mfERG.Methods mfERG was recorded in 68 eyes of 39 cases with active stage of Behcet's disease. All of the patients were diagnosed based on the Standard of International Study Group for Behcet's Disease and assigned to the cystoid macular edema (CME) group and the diffuse macular edema (DME) group after assessment by fundus fluorescein angiography (FFA).Seventeen normal subjects were used as controls.Oral informed consent was obtained from all of the subjects prior to this trial.mfERG recording followed the ISCEV Guidelines for Clinical Multifocal Electroretinography (2007 edition). The response density and latency of P1 and N1 waves in 6 rings were analyzed and compared. Results The amplitudes of N_1 waves from rings 1 through 6 and N1 wave from rings 1 through 5 were significantly declined in patients with Behcet's disease compared with normal control (P<0.01).All of the latencies of P_1 waves from rings 1 through 6 were insignificantly shortened in patients with Behcet's disease compared with normal control (P>0.05).The amplitudes of P_1 and N_1 waves from rings 1 through 6 in diffuse macular edema group were considerably lower than those in the cystoid macular edema group (P<0.05,P<0.01).A test of visual acuity showed a negative correlation to the amplitude and latency of N_1 wave (r=-0.36,-0.37,P<0.05 ) and a positive correlation with the amplitude of N1 wave (r=0.43,P<0.05) in the DME group. In the CME group,a test of visual acuity presented a negative correlation to the amplitude and latency of N1 wave and latency of P1 (r=-0.41,-0.35,-0.40,P<0.05 ) and a positive correlation with the amplitude of P1 wave (r=0.48,P<0.05).Conclusion mfEGR demonstrates that retinal electro-activity is abnormal in eyes with Behcet's disease. The distinct functional disorder is situated around the fovea.
