The paper introduces Professor LIU Xing's clinical experience and characteristics of integrative acupuncture and medication in treatment of primary trigeminal neuralgia (PTN). It is believed that the essential pathogenesis of PTN is pathogenic wind, and qi and blood obstruction results from invasion of pathogenic wind. Hence, dispelling wind is the key principle of treatment. Palpation is done at first in the neck, face and buccal mucosal region to detect the masses in treatment. Acupotomy is operated at the masses distributed at Shangguan (GB3), Xiaguan (ST7) and the white line of buccal mucosa, so as to release masses. Additionally, five-wind points (Fengfu [GV16], bilateral Fengchi [GB20], Yifeng [TE17], Bingfeng [SI12] and Fengmen [BL12]), three-nape points (bilateral Naokong [GB19], Tianzhu [BL10] and Jianjing [GB21]) and three-governor-vessel points (Baihui [GV20], Zhiyang [GV9] and Yintang [GV24+]) are selected to dispel wind and stop pain. Besides, herbal decoction (wu feng tang) and blood-letting at ear apex are administered in combination. The integration of acupuncture and medication obtains a holistic effect on PTN by dispelling wind pathogen, and promoting qi and blood circulation.

BACKGROUND:
Colorectal carcinogenesis and progression are related to the gut microbiota and the tumor immune microenvironment. Our previous clinical trial demonstrated that berberine (BBR) hydrochloride might reduce the recurrence and canceration of colorectal adenoma (CRA). The present study aimed to further explore the mechanism of BBR in preventing colorectal cancer (CRC).
METHODS:
We performed metagenomics sequencing on fecal specimens obtained from the BBR intervention trial, and the differential bacteria before and after medication were validated using quantitative polymerase chain reaction. We further performed ApcMin/+ animal intervention tests, RNA sequencing, flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays.
RESULTS:
The abundance of fecal Veillonella parvula ( V . parvula ) decreased significantly after BBR administration ( P = 0.0016) and increased through the development from CRA to CRC. Patients with CRC with a higher V. parvula abundance had worse tumor staging and a higher lymph node metastasis rate. The intestinal immune pathway of Immunoglobulin A production was activated, and the expression of TNFSF13B (Tumor necrosis factor superfamily 13b, encoding B lymphocyte stimulator [BLyS]), the representative gene of this pathway, and the genes encoding its receptors (interleukin-10 and transforming growth factor beta) were significantly upregulated. Animal experiments revealed that V. parvula promoted colorectal carcinogenesis and increased BLyS levels, while BBR reversed this effect.
CONCLUSION:
BBR might inhibit V. parvula and further weaken the immunomodulatory effect of B cells induced by V. parvula , thereby blocking the development of colorectal tumors.

Objective To investigate the characteristics and clinical value of dynamic electrocardiogram in the treatment of patients with congestive heart failure and atrial arrhythmia. Methods A total of 226 congestive heart failure patients were taken into this research.124 congestive heart failure and atrial arrhythmia patients were divided into OSG group,102 congestive heart failure patients were divided into CTG group.24 -hour Holter monitoring was examined in both groups with ATA including AFR,AFL,ATC and PAC by dynamic electrocardiogram made in Mei Gaoyi medical equipment company. Results The ATA was (824.6 ±108.2)times(compared with the control group, t =9.054,P =0.019)in 124cases of the OSG group, including ATC (80.4 ±25.8)cases (compared with the control group,P =0.021,t =8.934).duration time (25.4 ±9.7)s,AFL (26.8 ±7.1 )cases(compared with the control group,P =0.014,t =9.162).duration time (13.5 ±5.8)s,AFR (97.5 ±51.3)times (compared with the control group,t =9.314,P =0.009).duration time (70.1 ±18.5)s,PAC (41.9 ±14.3)cases (compared with the control group,t =8.796,P =0.026).duration time (34.8 ±11.2)s.The ATA was (102.6 ±59.3)times in 102cases of the CTG group, including ATC (69.5 ±19.4)cases,duration time(5.7 ±1.3)s,AFL(8.5 ±2.6)cases,duration time (2.6 ±0.9)s,AFR (27.6 ±12.5)times,duration time,PAC(24.8 ±10.4)cases,duration time(19.6 ±7.9)s, which was significantly different with the CTG group(t =8.796,P <0.05).Conclusion CHF patients are probable to be complicated with ATA.The DCG examination in CHF patients is conducive to improve the effect of treatment and limit chances of sudden death, which is worthy of promotion.

Chongqing Medicine 2014;(4):432-433,436
Objective To know the vaccination status of BCG in Gaoxin district of Chongqing and explore the associated impact factors on seroconversion rate .Methods PPD was used to test the seroconversion status after PDG vaccination in infants under 3 months .Results There was no significant differences of seroconversion rate between different sex ,birth weight and vaccination age (P>0 .05) .But the rate was significantly higher in infants with normal birth weight than that in fetal macrosomia which was signif-icantly higher than that in low-birth weight .The rate was significantly decreased in infants of 1-2 months ,2-3 months and 0-1 months in order .The rate of infant with vaccination scar was significantly higher than that without scar (χ2 =80 .057 ,P<0 .01) . Conclusion There was no significant differences of seroconversion rate between different sex ,birth weight and vaccination age ,and the scar can indirectly show the seroconversion condition of vaccination .
