The paper introduces Professor LIU Xing's clinical experience and characteristics of integrative acupuncture and medication in treatment of primary trigeminal neuralgia (PTN). It is believed that the essential pathogenesis of PTN is pathogenic wind, and qi and blood obstruction results from invasion of pathogenic wind. Hence, dispelling wind is the key principle of treatment. Palpation is done at first in the neck, face and buccal mucosal region to detect the masses in treatment. Acupotomy is operated at the masses distributed at Shangguan (GB3), Xiaguan (ST7) and the white line of buccal mucosa, so as to release masses. Additionally, five-wind points (Fengfu [GV16], bilateral Fengchi [GB20], Yifeng [TE17], Bingfeng [SI12] and Fengmen [BL12]), three-nape points (bilateral Naokong [GB19], Tianzhu [BL10] and Jianjing [GB21]) and three-governor-vessel points (Baihui [GV20], Zhiyang [GV9] and Yintang [GV24⁺]) are selected to dispel wind and stop pain. Besides, herbal decoction (wu feng tang) and blood-letting at ear apex are administered in combination. The integration of acupuncture and medication obtains a holistic effect on PTN by dispelling wind pathogen, and promoting qi and blood circulation.

Guided by the theory of"kidney generating marrow"and"kidney associating with bladder",the concept of"brain-kidney-bladder"axis was proposed.From the perspective of meridian circulation and physiological function,the conception vessel and governor vessel are the links of the"brain-kidney-bladder"axis.Kidney essence deficiency,brain spirit losing,and dysfunction of bladder are the core pathogenesis of female stress incontinence.From the dysfunction of the"brain-kidney-bladder"axis and the deficiency of conception vessel and governor vessel,an integrated model of"one acupunture,two medication,and three daoyin therapy"was proposed for the treatment of female stress incontinence."One acupunture"is based on the theoretical guidance of"treating on the bone,and even under the navel ying"in Gukong Lun in Suwen,and the regulating conception vessel and dredging governor vessel acupuncture method is used to harmonize yin and yang,replenish qi,and consolidate bladder,using governor vessel points such as Baihui(DU20),Shenting(DU24),Mingmen(DU4),and conception vessel points such as Qihai(RN6),Guanyuan(RN64),Zhongji(RN3),and cooperating with Baliao points(BL31,BL32,BL33,and BL34)of the bladder meridian."Two medication"is guided by the theory that"dispersing conditions should be astringed,and deficient conditions should be warmed"in Zhizhenyao Dalun in Suwen;the treatment method focuses on consolidating conception vessel,dredging governor vessel,and harmonizing and nourishing qi and blood,and the Guren Tongdu Formula is selected."Three daoyin therapy",that is,using the abdominal contraction and anal lifting exercise,the Mawangdui daoyin therapy,and pelvic floor muscle training to cultivate qi,preserve spirit,and maintain the unity of body and mind.

Objective:To construct a home-based cardiac rehabilitation intervention system for patients after percutaneous coronary intervention, and to provide reference for improving the self-management ability and family support of home-based cardiac rehabilitation of patients after PCI.Methods:Based on the literature study and group discussions, a draft of home-based cardiac rehabilitation intervention system for patients after PCI based on empowerment theory was constructed. From January to April 2021, the Delphi method was used to conduct 2 rounds of expert consultations among 18 experts from 9 hospitals, and the items were modified according to the experts′ advice.Results:The expert positive coefficients of the 2 rounds were 94.44% and 100.00%, the expert authority coefficients was 0.91, and the Kendall coefficients were 0.188 and 0.255. Finally, a home-based cardiac rehabilitation intervention system for patients after PCI was formed, including 5 first-level items, 19 second-level items and 21 third-level items.Conclusion:The home-based cardiac rehabilitation intervention system for patients after PCI is reliable, scientificity and practical, and has guiding significance for promoting the development of home-based cardiac rehabilitation for PCI patients.

Objective: To study the predictive and prognostic significance of high-sensitivity modified Glasgow Prognostic Score (HS-mGPS) on the effect of neoadjuvant chemotherapy for advanced gastric cancer. Methods: 117 patients with advanced gastric cancer received neoadjuvant chemotherapy with SOX (oxaliplatin+ S1) or mFOLFOX 6(oxaliplatin+ CF+ 5-FU) regimen. HS-mGPS was calculated according to blood C-reactive protein (CRP) concentration and serum albumin (ALB) level. The correlation between HS-mGPS and clinicopathological characteristics was determined and the predictors of survival were analyzed. Results: 117 patients with stage ⅡB (43 cases), stage Ⅲ (60), and stage Ⅳ (14) received preoperative neoadjuvant chemotherapy. The overall response rate of neoadjuvant chemotherapy was 61.5%(72/117), and the tumor control rate was 88.0% (103/117), with a pathological response rate of 91.5% (107/117). The R0 resection rate was 81.2% (95/117). The median disease-free survival (DFS) was 21.0 (95% CI 6.4-35.6) months. The median overall survival (OS) was 39.0 (95% CI 21.4-56.6) months. Higher HS-mGPS was associated with higher T stage, local lymph-node metastasis, distant metastasis, lower chemotherapy overall response rate and lower pathological response rate (all P<0.05). The univariate analysis and multivariate analysis showed that higher HS-mGPS, presence of local lymph-node metastasis and non R0 resection were associated with poorer DFS and OS (P<0.05). Conclusion HS-mGPS can be used to predict the benefits of neoadjuvant chemotherapy and as an independent prognostic factor for survival in patients with advanced gastric cancer.

Objective To investigate the effects of artesunate (AS) on septic lung injury in mice and to study the modulation of heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) in lung in order to clarify the mechanism of AS action.Methods Sixty male Kunming mice were randomly (random number) divided into four groups: Sham group (n =15), CLP group (n =15), AS + CLP group (n =15) and AS + ZnPP + CLP group (n =15).Cecal ligation and puncture (CLP) method was employed to induce septic lung injury.AS (15 mg/ kg) was injected into the abdomen of mice 2 hours before the CLP procedures, and ZnPP Ⅸ, an inhibitor of HO-1, was intraperitoneally injected in dose of 40 μmol/kg 1 hour after the AS injection.The equivalent volume of normal saline was intraperitoneally injected instead in mice of Sham group and CLP group.The mice were sacrificed 24 hours after the CLP procedures.The TNF-α, IL-6 in serum were assayed by ELISA method.The lung injury score and wet/dry ratio were measured.The western blotting and immunohistochemistry methods were used to determine HO-1 protein expression in lung tissue.The protein level of nuclear factor-E2-related factor-2 (Nrf-2), an important transcriptional factor of HO-1 in lung tissue was also analyzed by western blotting.One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used for comparisons among the groups, and SNK-q (Student-Newman-Keuls) test was performed for further comparison, and difference was statistically significant at P ＜ 0.05.Results The TNF-α (pg/mL) (54.37 ± 15.59 vs.627.45 ± 117.03, P ＜ 0.05), IL-6 (pg/mL) (81.53 ± 26.89 vs.898.52 ± 222.78, P ＜ 0.05) in serum was increased, and the lung protein exudation, pulmonary edema (wet/dry weight ratio: 4.27 ± 0.22 vs.6.78 ±0.73, P ＜ 0.05), pulmonary pathology injury (lung injury score: 2.20 ± 0.2 vs.13.25 ± 2.67, P ＜ 0.05) were aggravated by CLP.The HO-1 and Nrf-2 were up-regulated in lung tissue in CLP group compared with the sham group (P ＜ 0.05).After the intervention of AS, the HO-1 and Nrf-2 were further increased (P＜0.05), theTNF-α (pg/mL) (627.45 ±117.03 vs.307.88 ±72.33, P＜0.05), IL-6 (pg/mL) (898.52 ± 222.78 vs.413.47 ± 115.14, P ＜ 0.05) in serum, lung protein exudation, pulmonary edema (wet/dry weight ratio: 6.78 ± 0.73 vs.5.05 ± 0.61, P ＜ 0.05), pulmonary pathology injury (lung injury score: 13.25 ± 2.67 vs.4.95 ± 1.46, P ＜ 0.05) were attenuated compared with the CLP group.However, the protective role of AS in the septic lung injury in mice was partly reversed by ZnPP, and no significant difference was detected between the AS + CLP + ZnPP and CLP group (lung injury score: 12.15 ± 2.95 vs.13.25 ± 2.67, P ＞ 0.05;wet/dry weight ratio: 6.78 ± 0.73 vs.6.29 ± 0.82, P ＞ 0.05).Conclusions AS plays protective roles in septic lung injury, and it is attributed to limiting lung inflammation via up-regulation of HO-1.
