A case of aggressive angiomyxoma of the vulva in a 32 year old woman is reported. This soft tissue tumor is quite a rare entity. The tumor presented as a slowly growing penduculated polypoid mass in the right labia majora. Initially, it was the size of a monggo and gradually enlarged to approximately 17 cm x 16 cm x 3 cm, over the period of more than a year, causing pain and resulting in impairment in walking. The lesion was surgically excised. Microscopic appearance was that of spindle-shaped fibroblasts in a myxoid stroma, containing collagen fibers and clusters of blood vessels. It must be distinguished from the more common benign and malignant myxoid tumors of the vulva. The diagnosis of an aggressive angiomyxoma was made histologically. The clinical and pathological findings were consistent with previously descritayl neoplasms of the same cellular pattern. (Author)
