Purpose: This study evaluated the validity and reliability of therapeutic communication responses generated by GPT-5 by comparing different prompt-engineering strategies and identifying optimal methods for psychiatric nursing education. Methods: A methodological design compared four strategies—Zero-shot, Few-shot, Chain-of-Thought (CoT), and Role-prompt—applied to ten psychiatric nursing communication questions. Fourteen experts with over ten years of combined clinical and educational experience rated 40 anonymized responses using a 4-point scale. Inter-rater reliability was assessed with Fleiss' κ and Krippendorff's ⍺ from 400 repeated outputs. Semantic consistency was examined using cosine similarity. Analyses were conducted in Python. Results: Role-prompt showed the highest content validity (mean=3.54±0.39, S-CVI/Ave=0.95), followed by CoT and Zero-shot. Inter-rater agreement was slight (κ=0.07; ⍺=0.15). Semantic consistency was highest for CoT (0.76±0.12) and Role-prompt (0.75±0.11). A Friedman test indicated significant differences among strategies (x2(3)=11.88, p=.008). Conclusion Role-prompt yielded the most valid therapeutic responses, while CoT produced the most consistent outputs. These findings support the use of Role-prompt and CoT strategies to enhance the validity and reliability of therapy.

Background: Numerous studies have examined the prevalence of Helicobacter pylori infection and clarithromycin (CLA) resistance rate of H. pylori. However, in South Korea, there is a lack of research analyzing specimens from local clinics and hospitals using molecular methods. This study aimed to assess the prevalence of H. pylori infection and CLA resistance across sex and age groups, as well as to explore regional variations in CLA resistance and its characteristics. Methods: Data from a laboratory information system from 2015 to 2018 were retrospectively analyzed to determine the prevalence of H. pylori infection and CLA resistance rate. The 23S ribosomal RNA genes of H. pylori were analyzed using a dual priming oligonucleotide-based multiplex polymerase chain reaction method. Results: The overall prevalence of H. pylori infection was 50.5%(12,000/23,773), with a significantly higher prevalence among males (53.5%) than females (47.0%). The CLA resistance rate was 28.3%, with a significantly higher rate among females (34.9%) than males (23.8%). Age group analysis revealed that the highest prevalence of H. pylori infection was among individuals in their 40s, whereas the highest CLA resistance rate was observed among those in their 60s. The CLA resistance rate exhibited an upward trend and varied among patients based on their place of residence, and A2143G mutation was the most prevalent across all regions. Conclusion The prevalence of H. pylori infection and CLA resistance rate in Korea remain high and vary according to sex, age, and region. To effectively eradicate H. pylori, it is crucial to periodically monitor regional CLA resistance patterns and conduct CLA susceptibility testing before prescription.

Purpose: This clinical study sought to evaluate the possible clinical effectiveness and practicality of URINO, an innovative, incisionless, and disposable intravaginal device, designed for patients suffering from stress urinary incontinence. Methods: A prospective, multicenter, single-arm clinical trial was carried out, involving women diagnosed with stress urinary incontinence who used a self-inserted, disposable intravaginal pessary device. Comparisons were made between the results of the 20-minute pad-weight gain (PWG) test at baseline and visit 3, where the device was applied. After 1 week of device usage, compliance, satisfaction, the sensation of a foreign body, and adverse events were assessed. Results: Out of 45 participants, 39 completed the trial and expressed satisfaction within the modified intention-to-treat group. The average 20-minute PWG of participants was 17.2±33.6 g at baseline and significantly dropped to 5.3±16.2 g at visit 3 with device application. A total of 87.2% of participants exhibited a reduction ratio of PWG by 50% or more, surpassing the clinical trial success benchmark of 76%. The mean compliance was recorded as 76.6%±26.6%, the average visual analogue scale score for patient satisfaction was 6.4±2.6, and the sensation of a foreign body, measured on a 5-point Likert scale, was 3.1±1.2 after 1 week of device use. No serious adverse events were reported; there was 1 instance of microscopic hematuria and 2 cases of pyuria, all of which recovered. Conclusions The investigated device demonstrated significant clinical effectiveness and safety for patients with stress urinary incontinence. It was easy to use, showing favorable patient compliance. We propose that these disposable intravaginal pessaries could potentially be an alternative treatment for patients with stress urinary incontinence who are seeking nonsurgical options or are unable to undergo surgery.Trial Registration: The study was registered as a clinical trial (KCT0008369).

PURPOSE: We examined the effects of a well-dying program on nursing students in terms of death preparation, death recognition and perception of well-dying perception. METHODS: The design of this study was quasi-experimental and non-synchronized with a non-equivalent control group. The study was conducted with nursing students: 32 in the experimental group and 36 in the control group. The well-dying program was consisted of five sessions: introduction, thinking about meaning of death, organizing things to do before dying, looking back on my life, and leaving a trail of my life. Descriptive analysis, t-test, chi2 test and ANCOVA were used with SPSS 18.0 program to analyze the data. RESULTS: After attending the program, a difference was observed in death preparation of the experimental group (t=2.61, P=0.014). The death recognition (F=154.15, P<0.001) score of the experimental group was significantly higher than the control group. There was no significant difference between the groups in perception of well-dying (F=0.11, P=0.747). CONCLUSIONS: The well-dying program helped nursing students build positive death recognition. Therefore, this study is expected to contribute to development of a death education program for nursing students.
