Ulcerative colitis(UC)is a chronic autoimmune disease characterized primarily by impaired intestinal mucosal barrier function.Beneficial bacteria in the intestinal flora are crucial for maintaining intestinal function.Therefore,eliminating harmful bacteria,promoting the regeneration of beneficial bacteria,and reconstructing the intestinal mucosal barrier have become key strategies in the treatment of UC.The traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)"Houchang Theory"elucidates the mech-anism of ulcer formation from the perspective of the"Zhimo"(lipid membrane)structure and a-chieves the purpose of treating UC by thickening the"Zhimo"through syndrome differentiation and treatment.This theory is consistent with the modern medical concept of reconstructing the intestinal mucosal barrier.Fecal microbiota transplantation(FMT),as a transformed product of TCM"Jinzhi"(liquid feces),has been proven to have significant efficacy in the treatment of UC.Based on the TCM"Houchang Theory"and from the perspective of the intestinal mucosal barrier,this article explored the mechanism of"Jinzhi"FMT in the treatment of UC and provides new strategies for clinical treatment.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the effects of coptisine on endogenous metabolites in a dextran sulfate sodium(DSS)-in-duced ulcerative colitis(UC)mouse model,and to explore its potential mechanisms of action employing non-targeted metabolomics technology.METHODS SPF-grade male C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into a control group,a model group,a sulfasalazine group(100 mg·kg-1),and low and high dose groups of coptisine groups(25,50 mg·kg-1).To induce ulcerative colitis(UC),all groups except the control group had free access to a 2.5%DSS solution for 7 days.At the same time,they also received daily intragastric ad-ministration of their corresponding treatments until the 10th day.Body weight changes,stool characteristics,and bloody stool occur-rence were recorded daily,and the disease activity index(DAI)was calculated.After the experiment,colon tissues were collected for pathological examination.Through UPLC-Q-TOF-MS/MS,non-targeted metabolomic analysis was performed to identify differential metabolites,and metabolic pathway enrichment analysis was conducted using the KEGG database.RESULTS Compared to the model group,coptisine significantly ameliorated weight loss,DAI scores,and pathological damage in colon tissues of UC mice(P<0.05,P<0.01).Metabolomic analysis identified 56 differential metabolites,mainly involved in purine metabolism,tryptophan metabo-lism,niacin and nicotinamide metabolism,glutathione metabolism,and the biosynthesis of phenylalanine,tyrosine,and tryptophan.Coptisine intervention significantly reversed the abnormal expression of these metabolites.CONCLUSION Coptisine can markedly improve metabolic disorders in DSS-induced UC mice by modulating multiple key metabolic pathways,thereby exerting a therapeutic effect.

Objective To investigate the impact on image quality of bone imaging and patients safety when whole body bone imaging was performed on the sme day of renal dynamic imaging.Methods Fifty-three adult patients underwent renal dynamic imaging and whole body bone imaging were selected as observation group.Firstly,99 Tcm-DTPA renal dynamic imaging was performed,and 2 h later,99Tcm-MDP was injected,then whole body bone imaging was performed according to technological process.The other 53 patients received bone imaging only were selected as control group.After injection of 99Tcm-MDP immediately and 30 min,1 h,2 h,4 h,6 h,and 24 h later,physiological response of all patients was observed,and image quality of bone imaging between the two groups was compared.Then the ratio of subjective excellent images of the two groups was calculated.Radioactivity counting of T12,L4,iliac crest,middle humerus,middle femur and soft tissue above 2 cm of ilium on posterior image was measured,and target/non target (T/NT) was calculated.Statistical analysis was performed on the two groups.Results Adverse reaction was not found in all patients in two groups.Subjective excellent rate was 90.57％ (48/53) in observation group,and 92.45％ (49/53) in control group (x2 =0.12,P＞0.05).T/NT of T12,L4,middle humerus and middle femur had no significant differences between two groups (all P＞0.05).The difference of T/NT of iliac crest was statistically significant between two groups (t=3.45,P＜0.05).Conclusion Radionuclide renal dynamic imaging on the same day has no significant impact on the image quality of whole body bone imaging.

Objective To investigate the impact of preload fasting and meal replacement in patients with metabolic syndrome.Methods A total of 92 subjects with metabolic syndrome were enrolled in the study.They were assigned into the preload fasting group (PFG),the meal replacement group (MRG),and the control group (CG) for 12-weeks intervention.Special dietary with 100 kcal was provided 30 min before each meal in the PFG,and while in the MRG the same dietary was taken just before each meal and the amount of meal was reduced appropriately.The subjects in CG took meals as usual.Body mass index,waist circumference,and insulin resistance were assessed.Satiety situation was investigated by the scale.Results After 12 weeks,improvement were found in fasting insulin(-3.29 mU/L) and waist circumference (-4.04 cm) in the PFG and significant difference was shown compared to the CG (P＜0.05).Satiety index in the PFG was the most significant among the three group.Conclusion Preload fasting is helpful in improving insulin resistance,reducing waist circumference,and enhancing satiety.

Objective To study the influence of Compound Salvia injection combined with cefoperazone sulbactam sodium on renal function and renal interstitial fibrosis in elderly patients with chronic pyelonephritis (CPN).Methods From April 2013 to July 2014, 126 cases of CPN were divided into observation group ( n =63 ) and control group ( n =63 ) according to the order of admission to hospital.All patients were given cefoperazone sulbactam sodium, and patients in observation group were added Compound Salvia injection.The clinical efficacy of treatment were evaluated between two groups, renal function and TGF-β1 were observed and compared before and after treatment in two groups.Results After treatment, HE staining of nephridial tissue showed renal interstitial fibrosis in observation group obvious improved more.The overall response rate of observation patients (90.48%) was significantly higher (74.60%) than control group, and the relapse rate of observation group (1.59%) was significantly lower than control group (14.29%), and there were statistically significant differences (P<0.05).After treatment, urinary albumin (11.4 ±3.1) mg/L, BUN (5.7 ±0.5) mmol/L, and Scr (103.2 ±10.4)μmol/L of observation group were significantly lower than control group, respectively (P<0.05).After treatment, TGF-β1 level (103.4 ±32.5) ng/L of observation group was significantly lower than control group (202.4 ±35.2) ng/L(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in adverse reactions between two groups.Conclusions Compound Salvia injection combined with cefoperazone sulbactam sodium has good efficacy.can significantly improve renal function, delay renal interstitial fibrosis in treatment of elderly patients with chronic pyelonephritis.

In this article the activities of succinic dehydrogenase, H~+ -ATPase and creatine kinase in skeletal muscle and heart mitochondria of rats fed with low-Se diet from kashin-beck disease area for 3 to 5 months were observed. The experiments showed that the activities of these three membrane binding enzymes were decreased significantly in mitochondria of rats fed with low-Se diet for 3 to 5 months, as compared to rats suplemented with sodium selenite, but still had not reached the levels in rats fed with diet from Xi'an area.These results suggested that the disturbance of energy metabolism may be induced when the rats fed with low-Se diet for long term.
