Objective To investigate and evaluate the therapeutic effects of estradiol valerate through vaginal drug delivery in the treatment of female infertility due to thin endometrium .Methods Close observation was made on the 256 female infertility patients due to thin endometrium. With the knowledge and consent of the patients , the patients were divided into 2 groups, the observation group and the control group .The control group received oral estradiol valerate , while the observation group was treated with estradiol valerate through vaginal drug delivery .Changes in the thickness and blood flow improvement of endometrium in ovulation days were closely ob -served in the patients of the 2 group. Then, one-year follow-up was made on the pregnancy rate and abortion rate in the patients of the 2 groups. Results The endometrial thickness in the observation group was significantly increased , as compared with that of the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.001).Following treatment, endometrial blood flow in the observation group was obviously improved, when compared with that of the control group , also with statistical significance (P<0.05).One year after treatment, the pregnancy rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group , and statistical significance could be seen when comparisons were made between the 2 groups (P<0.01).At the same time, the abortion rate of the observation group was obvi-ously lower than that of the control group (P<0.05).Conclusion Estradiol valerate through vaginal delivery in the treatment of female infertility due to thin endometrium could significantly improve the endometrial thickness and blood flow in ovulation days and increase pregnancy rate .The therapeutic effects of vaginal drug delivery were significantly superior to oral administration of estradiol valerate .

Objective To investigate the effects of prolonged deployment at sea on endocrine and immune system of female naval afloat personnel,so as to provide evidence in the development of health protective measures for those naval personnel during their prolonged deployment at sea. Methods A total of 33 female naval afloat personnel were chosen for the study.By using self-control method, the levels of cortisol (COR),thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH),free T3 (FT3),free T4 (FT4),prolactin (PRL),follicle stimulating hormone (FSH),luteinizing hormone (LH),estradiol (E2) and testosterone (T),as well as such humoral immune indices of IgA,IgG,IgM,C3 and C4 were detected before deployment,on the way back to the homeport and 3 months after arrival at the homeport. Results During prolonged deployment at sea, changes could be seen in the following indices:the level of COR was increased, while the level of FT3 was decreased;the levels of PRL were increased, while the levels of FSH,LH and E2 were decreased;the levels of IgG and C3 were also decreased, and statistical significance could be noticed, when comparisons were made between the indices before deployment and those after deployment (P < 0.05,P < 0.01).Conclusions During prolonged deployment at sea, females displayed signs of chronic stress, which had certain effect on endocrine and humoral immune functions of the females. For this reason,it was of great importance to improve healthcare of females during prolonged deployment at sea.

Objective To investigate the psychological status of military personnel during the "Mission Harmony-2013",especially females,so as to provide rational intervention if required. Methods Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS) were used to investigate the mental health of 71females and 75 males deployed during "Mission Harmony-2013".Results Incidence rates of anxiety among the females and males were 7.9% and 6.2% respectively, which was 2.0%.No significant differences could be noted in the occurrence of anxiety between the male and female at various stages of deployment. The incidence rates of depression in females and males were 4.2% and 4.0% respectively. No significant differences could be noted in the incidence of depression between males and females. Conclusions The females engaged in " Mission Harmony-2013" had relatively good psychological quality. There were no significant differences in the psychological status (anxiety and depression) between females and males at various stages of deployment.

Objective To study various influencing factors on fatigue and differences in fatigue sensation between males and females, through investigation of fatigue symptoms among shipboard personnel during "Mission Harmony-2013".Methods An investigation on the fatigue status of military personnel during "Mission Harmony-2013" was made by using the self-made general demographic data questionnaire and "the Self-conscious Fatigue Symptoms" questionnaire by the Japanese Industrial Hygiene Association Institute. Results During the 3-month deployment at sea,the fatigue scores obtained in the second month for both the male and female military personnel were obviously higher than those obtained in the first and third months (P < 0.01).The fatigue scores of the females in the second month significantly elevated than those of the males during the same period(P < 0.01).Gender,age,occupation and sleep quality were major influential factors affecting fatigue. Conclusions The fatigue cores of the females who participated in Mission Harmony were higher than those of the males. Objective assessment of mental status, occupation and sleep quality were chief factors affecting fatigue.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2001;0(08):-
Objective To investigate the change of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in placenta for patients with intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy in order to search the pathogenesis of intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy(ICP).Methods 33 ICP patients and 30 normal advanced pregnancy (NLP) were studied. The distribution of VEGF expression and blood capillaries density in placenta were detected respectively by s-ABC immunohistochemistry, and by western blot method. Results The distribution of VEGF in placenta was similar those of ICP and NLP ,but level of expression of VEGF in placenta was significantly lower in ICP than that of NLP (P

Chinese Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology 2000;0(11):-
Objective To investigate the relationship of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) with bile acid in intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy patients (ICP). Methods Thirty three ICP patients and 30 normal pregnant women in late pregnancy were studied, maternal serum VEGF concentrations were examined by enzymelinked immunoadsorbent assay (ELISA). Capillaries density in placenta are detected by s ABC immunohistochemistry, radio immunity method is used to assay the maternal serum glycocholic acid. Results Serum VEGF in ICP (2 072? 17) ng/L has negative correlation with glycocholic acid (47 9?14 2) ng/L, however, positive correlation with capillaries density in placenta (68?5)/HP; The serum VEGF in normal pregnant woman (2 256?30) ng/L does not have relationship to glycocholic acid (1 6?0 7) ng/L but it has positive correlation with capillaries density in placenta (74?7)/HP.Conclusion Cytotoxicity of high concentration bile acids impairs vascular endothelial cells resulting in lower excretion of VEGF in vascular endothelial cells of ICP, which lead to placental blood capillaries dysplasia and lower permeability, it may be one of reasons of fetal distress and fetal death in uteri in ICP.
