This paper summarizes Professor WANG Xiuxia's clinical experience in treating hyperprolactinemia using the liver soothing therapy. Professor WANG identifies liver qi stagnation and rebellious chong qi (冲气) as the core pathomechanisms of hyperprolactinemia. Furthermore, liver qi stagnation may transform into fire or lead to pathological changes such as spleen deficiency with phlegm obstruction or kidney deficiency with essence depletion. The treatment strategy centers on soothing the liver, with a modified version of Qinggan Jieyu Decoction (清肝解郁汤) as the base formula. Depending on different syndrome patterns such as liver stagnation transforming into fire, liver stagnation with spleen deficiency, or liver stagnation with kidney deficiency, heat clearing, spleen strengthening, or kidney tonifying herbs are added accordingly. In addition, three paired herb combinations are commonly used for symptom specific treatment, Danggui (Angelica sinensis) with Chuanxiong (Ligusticum chuanxiong), Zelan (Lycopus lucidus) with Yimucao (Leonurus japonicus) , and Jiegeng (Platycodon grandiflorus) with Zisu (Perilla frutescens).

Professor LIU Qingguo's academic thoughts and clinical experience in treating pediatric tic disorders with scalp fire needling is introduced. Professor LIU believes that the core pathogenesis of this disease lies in "wind stirring and qi disorder, leading to the spirit failing to govern the body". Therefore, treatment should focus on "regulating the spirit to stabilize the form and extinguishing wind to stop movement". Clinically, the main acupoints include Shenting (GV24), Benshen (GB13), Xinhui (GV22), Baihui (GV20), Sishencong (EX-HN1), Fengchi (GB20), and Fengfu (GV16), which are rapidly punctured with fine fire needles, leading to significant therapeutic efficacy.

Objective:To explore the effect of 5E rehabilitation model in patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) .Methods:From January 2018 to April 2020, convenience sampling was used to select 154 COPD outpatients and inpatients in the West China Hospital of Sichuan University as the research object. The patients were divided into the observation group (78 cases) and the control group (76 cases) by random number table method. The control group was given routine nursing, and the observation group received the 5E rehabilitation model on the basis of the control group. The scores of the Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease Knowledge Questionnaire (COPD-Q) , Self-Management Scale for Chinese Patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and the St George's Respiratory Questionnaire (SGRQ) were compared between the two groups before intervention and after six months of follow-up.Results:After six months of follow-up, the COPD-Q score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05) . The total score and the scores of each dimension of the Self-Management Scale for Chinese Patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05) . The total score and each dimension score of SGRQ in the observation group were lower than those in the control group with statistical differences ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:The 5E rehabilitation model is conducive to improving the health literacy, self-management ability and the quality of life of patients with stable COPD.

AL3810, a molecular dual inhibitor of the vascular endothelial growth factor receptor (VEGFR) and fibroblast growth factor receptor (FGFR), has earned the permission of phase II clinical trial for tumor treatment by China FDA. As a reversible ATP-competitive inhibitor, AL3810 targets ATP-binding site on intracellular region of VEGFR and FGFR, whereas, AL3810 lacking interplay with extracellular region of receptors rendered deficient blood-brain tumor barrier (BBTB) recognition, poor brain penetration and unsatisfactory anti-glioma efficacy. The dense extracellular matrix and high interstitial fluid pressure of tumor tissues prevent the ability of anti-tumor agents to penetrate deep into the tumor parenchyma for treatment effects. C-end rule (CendR) peptides can enhance the permeability of tumor blood vessels and tumor tissues binding to neuropilin-1 (NRP-1), thus aiding in drug delivery. In this study, we selected one of the CendR peptides (sequence RGERPPR) as the parent l-peptide and substituted d-amino acids for the l-amino acids to synthesize its inverso peptide (RGERPPR). We investigated the NRP-1 binding activity and tumor-penetrating ability of (RGERPPR). We found that the binding affinity of (RGERPPR) with NRP-1 and the cellular uptake was significantly higher than that of RGERPPR. Evans Blue tests revealed that (RGERPPR) exhibited improved tumor-penetrating ability in C6, U87 and A549 tumor-bearing nude mice. Using nude mice bearing A549 xenograft tumors as a model, we found that the rate of tumor growth in the group co-administered with (RGERPPR) and gemcitabine (Gem) was significantly lower than the gemcitabine-treated group with a tumor suppression rate (TSR%) of 55.4%. Together, our results demonstrate that (RGERPPR) is a potential tumor-penetrating peptide.
