The pathogens were isolated and purified from the stomach, jejunum and rectum tissues of a Yunnan snub-nosed monkey who died of vomiting, oral and nasal chyme, and abdominal dis-tension,and the species and biological characteristics of the pathogens were studied by biochemical identification,PCR identification, drug susceptibility test, pathogenicity test, serotype identifica-tion,and drug resistance gene and virulence gene analysis. The results showed that the pathogens i-solated from stomach, jejunum and rectum were Escherichia coli(E.coli)serotype O127,belong-ing to enteropathogenic E.coli.They were resistant to cefoxitin and sensitive to gentamicin,gati-floxacin and ciprofloxacin. All the three strains carried drug resistance genes blaTEM and blaCTX-M and virulence genes opmA and opmC.This study provides reference and data support for the prevention and control of enteritis caused by E.coli in Yunnan snub-nosed monkey.

Protein phosphorylation plays a key role in Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the pathogen of tuberculosis, holding promise as a new target of anti-tuberculosis drugs. We used M. smegmatis, a close relative of M. tuberculosis, as a model organism to study the protein phosphorylation at different growth phases. We identified 573 phosphorylated peptides and 816 phosphorylated sites of 385 proteins in the M. smegmatis samples at both logarithmic and stationary phases, and then established a comprehensive dataset of phosphorylated proteins in M. smegmatis. By comparing the expression levels of phosphorylated proteins between the logarithmic and the stationary phase with the selected ion monitoring (SIM) strategy, we verified 68 upregulated proteins involved in cell division and protein translation, and 69 downregulated proteins mainly involved in the tricarboxylic acid cycle pathway. The differentially expressed phosphorylated proteins were significantly enriched in important cellular cycle events such as cell elongation and division. The findings of this study provide proteome evidence for elucidating the phosphorylation in both M. smegmatis and M. tuberculosis.

Journal of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery 2020;9(1):1-6
Postprandial hyperinsulinemic hypoglycemia (PHH) is one of the serious complications after bariatric surgery, it can lead life-threatening neuroglycopenic symptoms, such as seizures, disorientation, impairment of version and loss of consciousness without any premonitory. The presentation, prevalence, diagnosis, pathology and treatment are reviewed in this summary.

Bariatric surgery has been widely accepted around the world and recognized for long-term and effective weight loss, based on long-term follow-up of large sample sizes. Though more than 70 years of development, bariatric surgery is not only on open technique, it is usually done by laparoscopy. But with the advance of the new technology, laparoscopy is no longer a unique technique. With the development of new robotic system and endoscopic system, bariatric and metabolic surgery has come to a new era. There is no doubt that bariatric surgery is still on the change as the development of scientific technology. Laparoscopic technique is still the mainstream of bariatric and metabolic surgery. With the decrease in the price of robotic system and the appearance of domestic robotic system, the robotic technique will also be accepted by many surgeons. The endoscopic technique is a tendency for bariatric and metabolic surgery because of effective weight loss, small trauma and low complication rates.

Objective To investigate the effect of fatty acid binding protein 4(FABP4)DNA methylation on abnormal lipid metabolism in placental trophoblastic dyslipidemia. Methods Human placental trophoblast cell line(HTR-8)was treated with L-NAME of 100 μmol/L for 48 h. The lipid content in placental trophoblasts was detected by chemical enzyme-colorimetry. The FABP4 DNA methylation level in placenta trophoblasts was detected by nested-touch down methylation specific PCR (NT-MSP). the mRNA and protein expression of DNMT1 and FABP4 were detected by qRT-PCR and Western Blot, respectively,in trophoblast cells. Results The lipid content in trophoblasts significantly increased as compared with the control(P < 0.05). Expression of FABP4 mRNA and protein increased(P < 0.05),while FABP4 methylation level and expression of DNMT1 significantly decreased (P<0.05)after treatment with L-NAME. Conclusions FABP4 DNA methylation is involved in the regulation of lipid metabolism in placental trophoblastic cells of hypertensive disorder complicating pregnancy.
