Chinese Journal of School Health 2026;47(6):828-832
Objective:
To explore the association role of anxiety and depressive symptoms with Internet gaming disorder (IGD) and emotional-behavioral problems among junior high school students, so as to provide references for preventing the occurrence and progression of emotional-behavioral problems in middle school students.
Methods:
From September to October 2024, a random cluster sampling method was adopted to select 38 069 students from 28 junior high schools in 14 counties (cities and districts) and functional areas of Jining City, Shandong Province. Surveys were conducted by Nine item Internet Gaming Disorder Scale-Short Form, Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7, Patient Health Questionnaire-9, and Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire. The correlation of emotional and behavioral issues, online game addiction, anxiety and depressive symptoms among junior high school students was analyzed by Speaman correlation analysis. Mediation analysis was used to explore the role of anxiety and depressive symptoms between IGD and emotional-behavioral problems among junior high school students.
Results:
The detection rates of emotional-behavioral problems, anxiety symptoms, depressive symptoms, and IGD among junior high school students were 19.24 %, 9.48%, 16.69%, and 19.68%, respectively. The scores of emotional-behavioral problems, anxiety symptoms, depressive symptoms and IGD were 10.00 (6.00, 15.00), 3.00 (0.00, 7.00), and 4.00 (1.00, 8.00), 13.00 (10.00, 19.00), respectively. There were positive correlations between each pair of emotional-behavioral problem, IGD, anxiety symptoms, and depressive symptoms scores ( r =0.51-0.81, all P <0.01). Anxiety and depressive symptoms played mediating roles between IGD and emotional-behavioral problems among junior high school students, with mediating effect values of 0.16 (95% CI =0.15-0.17) and 0.12 (95% CI =0.11-0.14), respectively (both P <0.01).
Conclusions
Anxiety and depressive symptoms mediate the relationship between IGD and emotional-behavioral problems among junior high school students. It is necessary to identify early signs of IGD among junior high school students, strengthen intervention for anxiety and depressive symptoms, to prevent the occurrence and development of emotional and behavioral issues.

BACKGROUND:Our previous studies found that decreased expression of connexin 43 and its Ser368 phosphorylation after myocardial hypothermic ischemia-reperfusion was closely associated with decreased cardiac conduction velocity and reperfusion arrhythmia.OBJECTIVE:To observe the effect of changes in membrane-type matrix metalloproteinase 2,matrix metalloproteinase 2 and collagen type Ⅳ on the expression of connexin 43 and its Ser368 phosphorylation and electrical conduction in the myocardial extracellular matrix after hypothermic ischemia-reperfusion.METHODS:Sixteen Langendorff extracorporeal cardiac perfusion models were successfully established from SD rats and randomly divided into a control group(n=8)and a hypothermic ischemia-reperfusion group(n=8).The control group was balanced perfused with 37 ℃ Krebs-Henseleit solution for 15 minutes and then continued to be perfused with 37 ℃ Krebs-Henseleit solution for 90 minutes. The hypothermic ischemia-reperfusion group was balanced perfused with 37 ℃ Krebs-Henseleit solution for 15 minutes, and then the heart was arrested for 60 minutes by injection of 4 ℃ Thomas solution.During the cardiac arrest, the periphery was protected by 4 ℃ Krebs-Henseleit solution.Half-volume 4 ℃ Thomas solution was reperfused 30 minutes after the arrest. After stopping the arrest, the heart was reperfused with 37 ℃ Krebs-Henseleit solution for 30 minutes. The occurrence of arrhythmias, rebeating time, and the duration of arrhythmias were recorded from the immediate time point to the end of the reperfusion period.Conduction velocity, absolute inhomogeneity, and inhomogeneity index were measured using the Mapping Lab multi-channel electrophysiological mapping system at the time of balanced perfusion for 15 minutes(T1),reperfusion for 15 minutes/continuous perfusion for 90 minutes(T2),and reperfusion for 30 minutes/continuous perfusion for 105 minutes(T3).The relative expression levels of membrane-type matrix metalloproteinase 2,matrix metalloproteinase 2,collagen type Ⅳ,connexin 43,and its Ser368 phosphorylation in ventricular tissue were detected by western blot assay.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1)No arrhythmia occurred in the control group. There were six cases of arrhythmia in the hypothermic ischemia-reperfusion group during reperfusion.Rebeating time and duration of arrhythmias were(25.38+12.02)and(158.67±67.68)seconds,respectively.(2)The conduction sochronal diagrams at T1,T2,and T3 in the control group were uniform and regular in direction, and the conduction velocity at T2 and T3 was not different from that at T1(P>0.05).The conduction isochronal diagrams at T2 and T3 in the hypothermic ischemia-reperfusion group were uneven and irregular in direction, and the conduction velocity was slower than that at T1(P<0.01).The conduction velocity at T2 and T3 in the hypothermic ischemia-reperfusion group was slower than that in the control group(P<0.01).Conduction dispersion was greater in the hypothermic ischemia-reperfusion group than that in the control group at T2 and T3(P<0.05).(3)Compared with the control group, the protein expressions of membrane-type matrix metalloproteinase 2 and matrix metalloproteinase 2 in the hypothermic ischemia-reperfusion group were increased(P<0.05 or P<0.01),and the protein expression levels of type Ⅳ collagen, connexin 43 and its Ser368 phosphorylation were decreased(P<0.05 or P<0.01).(4)The results indicate that after hypothermic ischemia-reperfusion,myocardial extracellular matrix remodeling may mediate the downregulation of myocardial connexin 43 and its Ser368 phosphorylation, slowed conduction velocity and increased conduction dispersion, thereby increasing the risk of arrhythmia.

Objective To investigate the effect of cordyceps sinensis(CS)on the activation of fibroblasts through IL-6 trans-signaling pathway and its specific mechanism in the treatment of renal fibrosis. Methods Renal fibrosis mouse model was established by unilateral ischemia/reperfusion(UIR),and the mice were administered intragastrically CS,soluble glycoprotein 130 Fc(sgp130Fc)or Hyper-IL-6.Masson's trichrome staining was utilized to identify tubulointerstitial fibrosis.PAS staining was utilized to assess the extent of renal injury.Western blot was employed to analyze the expression levels of fibrosis markers[alpha-smooth muscle actin(α-SMA),fibronectin(FN)]and proteins associated with IL-6 trans-signaling pathway[phosphorylated signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(p-STAT3),soluble interleukin-6 receptor(sIL-6R)].The expression and localization of proteins were additionally detected by immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence and qPCR.The effect of cordyceps sinensis extract cordycepin on IL-6 trans-signaling in fibroblasts was further investigated in vitro. Results The results from in vivo experiments showed that administration of CS during the chronic phase demonstrated a beneficial protective impact on inflammation and fibrosis in the affected kidney, and serum creatinine levels and collagen deposition were decreased.Western blot analysis revealed a decrease in the expression levels of α-SMA,FN,as well as IL-6 trans-signaling pathway protein p-STAT3,sIL-6R in the treatment group.Additionally, the mRNA expression levels of chemokines monocyte chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1)and C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 12(CXCL12)were also decreased in the CS treatment group.Additionally,Hyper-IL-6 can partially counteract the therapeutic effects of CS.In vitro experiments further demonstrated that cordycepin inhibited the secretion of IL-6 from NRK-52E.Combined treatment of recombinant IL-6 and sIL-6R protein activated NRK-49F,leading to a significant increase in α-SMA,FN,and p-STAT3 expression levels.Cordycepin or sgp130Fc treatment significantly inhibited the proliferation of fibroblasts induced by IL-6 trans-signaling pathway. Conclusion CS can significantly reduce IL-6 secretion by renal tubular epithelial cells and inhibit the activation of IL-6 trans-signaling pathway in fibroblasts, thereby ameliorating renal interstitial fibrosis.

Objective:To explore the factors influencing the non-reversal of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) after a first stroke. Methods:A total of 243 first stroke patients with MCI were enrolled at the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from March 2020 to March 2023. The patients were followed up for one year to assess the reversal of MCI. Patients who did not undergo reversal and those who did undergo reversal were included in non-reversal group and reversal group, respectively. General information of non-reversal group and reversal group was compared. Binary Logistic regression was used to analyze the factors influencing the non-reversal of MCI after a first stroke. Results:After one year of follow-up, the non-reversal rate was 25.10% (61/243) among 243 first stroke patients with MCI. Binary Logistic regression analysis showed that older age, history of diabetes, high National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) score at admission, left-sided lesions, and modified Fazekas grade 3 were risk factors for non-reversal of MCI after a first stroke ( P<0.05), while educational level of college degree or above was a protective factor ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:Older age, history of diabetes, high NIHSS score at admission, left-sided lesions, and modified Fazekas grade 3 are risk factors for non-reversal of MCI after a first stroke, while an educational level of college degree or above is a protective factor.

Aim To investigate the therapeutic effects of a newly developed Tadalafil tablets on pathological myocardial hypertrophy induced by abdominal aortic constriction(AAC)in rats,as well as its influence on the activation of the NF-κB signaling pathway in myo-cardial cells. Methods SD rats were randomly divid-ed into 4 groups:the sham operation group(Sham),the model group(AAC),the tadalafil new tablet treat-ment group(N-Tad,5 mg·kg-1),and the positive control drug treatment group(Cialis,10 mg·kg-1g).The AAC model group and treatment group rats under-went blunt dissection and constrictive ligation of the abdominal aorta at the left renal artery branch point during surgery, while the Sham group rats only had their arteries separated without any constrictive liga-tion.Rats in the treatment groups received either N-Tad or Cialis via gavage three days after modeling, while rats in the sham group and the model group re-ceived physiological saline daily for 8 weeks.Small an-imal ultra-high-resolution echocardiography and hemo-dynamic assessment were applied to evaluate left ven-tricular function in each group of rats, and the calcula-tion of the left ventricular mass index was conducted.By employing Western blot and RT-PCR.we assessed the impact of this treatment on the expression of the hy-pertrophy factor atrial natriuretic peptide(ANP),phosphorylated NF-κB p65 protein(p-NF-κB p65),and phosphorylated IκB-α in the left heart tissue of rats and in H9c2 cardiomyocytes. Results Compared to the Sham group, the AAC rats exhibited a significant decrease in left heart function,an increase in left ven-tricular mass index, and a notable increase in ANP and p-p65 expression in the left heart tissue(P<0.05).Both N-Tad and Cialis treatments could significantly enhance left ventricular function, decrease left ventric-ular mass index, and inhibit the expression of ANP and phosphorylated NF-κB p65 in rats with myocardial hy-pertrophy(P<0.05).Notably,the therapeutic effect of low-dose N-Tad was comparable to that of high-dose Cialis. At the cellular level,Tadalafil significantly in-hibited the activation of the NF-κB signaling pathway and reduced the expression of associated proteins in H9c2 cardiomyocytes. Conclusions N-Tad can sig-nificantly inhibit p65 and IκB-α phosphorylation, and the activation of the NF-κB signaling pathway, reduce ANP expression, and improve pathological myocardial hypertrophy,as well as mitigate left heart function damage caused by abdominal aortic constriction.

Objective:To evaluate the application value of artificial intelligence (AI) and robot of stereotactic surgery (ROSS)-assisted ultra-early thalamic hematoma drainage in elderly patients with minor thalamus and internal capsule hematoma (TICH) and severe hypoperfusion in the internal capsule area. Methods:A retrospective cross-sectional study was performed; 278 patients with TICH and severe hypoperfusion in the internal capsule area identified by AI medical imaging diagnostic system were enrolled from Department of Neurosurgery, Xingtai Central Hospital from January 2023 to August 2024. Among them, 134 patients (study group) received AI and ROSS-assisted ultra-early thalamic hematoma drainage, and 144 patients (control group) received drug treatment. Differences in baseline data and therapy efficiency between the two groups of patients were compared. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was used to screen the independent influencing factors for prognosis in the study group 180 days after onset (good prognosis: modified Rankin scale scores of 0-3).Results:Compared with the control group, the study group had significantly higher Glasgow coma scale (GCS) score and regional cerebral blood flow (rCBF) in the internal capsule area 14 days after onset, and statistically higher therapy efficiency and good prognosis rate 180 days after onset ( P<0.05). In the study group, 84 patients had a good prognosis and 50 had a poor prognosis 180 days after onset; compared with the good prognosis group, the poor prognosis group had significantly higher proportion of patients with hyper-homocysteinemia history, lower GCS score on admission, larger volume of thalamic hematoma, higher proportions of patients with combined intraventricular hemorrhage and shunt-dependent hydrocephalus, and lower rCBF in the internal capsule area on admission ( P<0.05). Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that thalamic hematoma volume ( OR=2.527, 95% CI: 1.504-4.247, P<0.001), combined intraventricular hemorrhage ( OR=2.325, 95% CI: 1.460-3.703, P<0.001), shunt dependent hydrocephalus ( OR=2.371, 95% CI: 1.267-4.078, P=0.006), and rCBF in the internal capsule area on admission ( OR=0.672, 95% CI: 0.314-1.025, P<0.001) were independent risk factors for prognosis of patients in the study group. Conclusion:AI and ROSS-assisted ultra-early thalamic hematoma drainage is effective for elderly patients with minor TICH and severe hypoperfusion in the internal capsule area; patients with large thalamic hematoma volume, combined intraventricular hemorrhage, shunt-dependent hydrocephalus, and low rCBF in the internal capsule area on admission are prone to have a poor prognosis.

The general models for intermediates quality analysis in the production process of Yaobitong capsule were established by near infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) combined with chemometrics, realizing the rapid determination of notoginsenoside R1, ginsenoside Rg1, ginsenoside Re, ginsenoside Rb1, ginsenoside Rd and moisture. The spray-dried fine powder and total mixed granule were selected as research objects. The contents of five saponins were determined by high performance liquid chromatography and the moisture content was determined by drying method. The measured contents were used as reference values. Meanwhile, NIR spectra were collected. After removing abnormal samples by Monte Carlo cross validation (MCCV), Monte Carlo uninformative variables elimination (MC-UVE) and competitive adaptive reweighted sampling (CARS) were used to select feature variables respectively. Based on the feature variables, quantitative models were established by partial least squares regression (PLSR), extreme learning machine (ELM) and ant lion optimization least squares support vector machine (ALO-LSSVM). The results showed that CARS-ALO-LSSVM model had the optimum effect. The correlation coefficients of the six index components were greater than 0.93, and the relative standard errors were controlled within 6%. ALO-LSSVM was more suitable for a large number of samples with rich information, and the prediction effect and stability of the model were significantly improved. The general models with good predicting effect can be used for the rapid quality determination of Yaobitong capsule intermediates.
