Bisphenols (BPs) are extensively used in food packaging, personal care products, and plastics, making them prevalent in both living and working environments, which has raised significant concern. As endocrine-disrupting chemicals, BPs exert toxic effects on the female reproductive system by binding to estrogen receptors, thereby activating or inhibiting the expression of genes related to reproductive functions, which disrupts the normal function of the endocrine system. This paper reviewed the effects of bisphenol A (BPA), bisphenol S (BPS), and bisphenol F (BPF) on female reproductive function, focusing on three key aspects: the effects on the female reproductive organs, the occurrence of associated reproductive disorders, and the mechanisms of toxicity. Specifically, this review highlighted the effects on ovarian function, uterine morphology and function, and fallopian tube function, as well as their correlation with polycystic ovary syndrome, endometriosis, miscarriage, and eclampsia. Additionally, the toxic mechanisms of BPs exposure were summarized, providing a scientific basis for future research on the impact of BPs on the female reproductive system, as well as for the assessment of potential health risks and the development of preventive measures.

Objective:To explore high-risk sexual behaviors of HIV/AIDS and related factors in young students in Guangzhou. Methods:A cross-sectional survey was conducted in 5 different types of Guangzhou colleges by convenience sampling with minimum number of classes per grade and 600 samples per school from September to November 2021. The R 4.2.2 software was used to consolidate databases. Simultaneously, a logistic regression model and a decision tree algorithm model, stratifying by whether sexual behaviors had occurred before, were constructed. In each layer, the prediction performance of the two models was evaluated through area under receiver operating characteristic and the confusion matrix, and then the model with high prediction performance was retained. Results:A total of 7 346 students were surveyed. The proportion of the respondents reporting sexual experience were 9.08% (667/7 346), in whom 26.24% (175/667) had risky sexual activity in the past year. The decision tree algorithm model performs well in predicting whether high-risk sexual behaviors have occurred in the past year. When the complexity parameter value is 0.018, and nsplit reaches 4, which means there are 5 leaf nodes in the model, the cross error of the tree will be the smallest. The first best grouping variable in the decision tree was whether to use condoms throughout the first sexual behavior. If condoms were used at their sexual debut, but homosexual practices have occurred in the past year, the probability of risky sexual behavior will increase. If homosexual practices have not occurred in the past year, but the age of sexual debut was below 18 years old while the period of HIV education was after high school, the probability of risk sexual behavior will also increase.Conclusions:AIDS-related risky behaviors of young students still deserved attention. The experience of sexual debut and whether AIDS-related health education has been received before the sexual debut were significant predictors for the occurrence of high-risk sexual behavior. The decision tree algorithm model has particular applicability for predicting and screening potential risk populations.

To construct monoclonal antibodies against Haemonchus contortus native H11 protein. In this study, five 4-6 weeks female BALB/c mice were immunized with native H11 protein extrac-ted from adult worms by Concanavalin A lectin.Spleen cells were isolated and fused with SP2/0 cells after 3 times of immunization. Two hybridoma cell lines, named A1E3 and A10E1,which could stably secrete monoclonal antibodies against H11 protein were obtained. The subtype identi-fication and immunological analysis showed that the heavy chain of the two monoclonal antibodies belonged to IgG1 and the light chain was κ type, and both monoclonal antibodies recognized the natural antigen H11.Immunohistochemical localization and larval developmental inhibition test in vitro showed that the mAb A1E3 could be localized to the intestinal microvilli of the adult worm, and that the antibody can inhibit the growth of the fourth-stage larvae. The successful production of two monoclonal antibodies not only lays the foundation for the study of protective antigenic epitopes of the H11 protein and the development of epitope vaccines, but also provides a potential application of the monoclonal antibody for the treatment of haemonchusis in animals.

At present, the teaching objects of clinical pharmacists have gradually changed from merely university students to complex and diverse groups including clinical pharmacist interns and others. However, the traditional teaching model cannot be tailored to different groups. In addition, it increases the burden of clinical pharmacists while not ensuring teaching quality. This study aims to classify teaching objects according to their characteristics, so as to provide individualized knowledge and service. Compared with the traditional way of teaching, this new method may make teaching more relevant and reduces the teaching load of teachers, which is of great significance to the training of clinical pharmacy personnel.

Objective:To investigate the risk perception for risky behavior of HIV/AIDS infection among young students and to analyze the related influencing factors. Methods:A cross-sectional survey was conducted in 5 different types of Guangzhou colleges from September to November 2021, in which convenience sampling and a minimum number of classes per grade and 600 samples per school were used according to the national unity program. Disordered multi-classification logistic regression was used to construct a risk perception model and analyze influencing factors in different risk perception levels. Results:A total of 7 346 young students were surveyed, and most rated themselves at low risk of HIV/AIDS infections (90.58%, 6 654/7 346). A total of 89.10% (6 545/7 346) of subjects' perception of their HIV/AIDS infection risk was consistent with their risk behavior, while 10.90% (801/7 346) was inconsistent. Among those inconsistent subjects, 19.10% (153/801) showed underestimating their risk , while 80.90% (648/801) seen overestimating their risk. Disordered multi-classification logistic regression analysis showed that, after controlling for other factors, compared with the non-sexual group, respondents whose first sex age under 18 had a higher rate of underestimating their risk of infection ( OR=129.39, 95% CI: 73.28-228.48), as well as a higher rate of overestimated their risk of infection ( OR=1.76, 95% CI: 1.04-2.99). First sexual intercourse at age 18 or older was a risk factor for underestimating risk ( OR=70.56, 95% CI: 42.72-116.53), but was not statistically associated with overestimating risk. Being female, other school type, non-heterosexual orientation, and self-rated HIV-related knowledge as fair or no knowledge were risk factors for overestimating risk but were not statistically associated with underestimating risk. Conclusions:Overall, young students in universities of Guangzhou have a good risk perception of HIV/AIDS infection. Individual factors, education factors and sexual experience will influence students' risk perception of HIV/AIDS infection. Raising the awareness rate of HIV/AIDS knowledge and delaying the age of first sexual intercourse will improve the risk perception ability of young students.

Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of three different tissue flaps in repairing patients with orbital region tissue loss after enlarged resection of malignant tumors in the orbital region, as well as the indication. Methods:Retrospective analysis of data of patients with malignant tumors in the orbital region treated in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Trauma and Orthognathic Surgery, the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University (Affiliated Stomatological Hospital) between January 2017 and December 2021. All patients underwent extensive resection of periorbital malignant tumors and enucleation of orbital contents, depending on defects in periorbital soft/hard tissues and orbital contents, temporalis myofascial flap combined with full thickness skin grafts (TMF-FTSG group), modified pectoralis major myocutaneous flap (PMMF group), and free anterolateral thigh flap (ALTF group) were used to repair the tissue defect. The wound healing and complications of the donor and recipient areas were followed up after operation, and degree of mouth opening in the TMF-FTSG group was compared at 3 months after operation and before operation. The University of Washington quality of life scale (UW-QOL) score was compared among the three groups before and 1 year after operation (a total of 12 items, each item was assigned from 0 to 100 points, the higher the score, the better the recovery). Statistical software SPSS 26.0 was used to analyze the data. The measurement data were expressed as Mean±SD, and the paired t-test was used to compare the preoperative and postoperative data within the group, the difference was statistically significant at a P value less than 0.05. Results:A total of 22 patients were enrolled. There were 8 patients in TMF-FTSG group, 4 males and 4 females, aged (68.3±9.7) years. There were 6 patients in PMMF group, 5 males and 1 female, aged (65.8±7.8) years. There were 3 males and 5 females in ALTF group, aged (63.8±5.4) years. There were 12 cases of squamous cell carcinoma, 8 cases of basal cell carcinoma and 2 cases of adenoid cystic carcinoma. The size of soft tissue defect after tumor resection in TMF-FTSG group, PMMF group and ALTF group was 4 cm×4 cm-7 cm×8 cm, 4 cm×5 cm-9 cm×9 cm and 5 cm×6 cm-14 cm×9 cm, respectively. And the size of flaps ranged from 5 cm×4 cm to 8 cm×9 cm, from 5 cm×7 cm to 10 cm×10 cm, and from 10 cm×6 cm to 20 cm×9 cm, respectively. All donor sites and 20 recipient sites recovered in stage Ⅰ, 2 recipient sites recovered in stage Ⅱ. The patients were monitored for a mean of (27.2 ±13.0) months. During the period of follow-up, one patient, reconstructed with PMMF, died 13 months after surgery due to local tumor recurrence, while the others did not experience metastasis or recurrence. In TMF-FTSG group, the mouth opening was (3.60±0.36) cm 3 months after operation and (3.84±0.15) cm before operation, with no significant difference ( P>0.05). The UW-QOL scores of appearance, mood and anxiety in the three groups 1 year after operation were higher than those before operation ( P<0.05), and the one year after operation’s scores of activity and shoulder were lower than those before operation ( P<0.05). The UW-QOL scores of pain and recreation in TMF-FTSG group one year after operation were higher than those before operation ( P<0.05), the other two groups were also higher than those before operation, but the difference was not statistically significant ( P>0.05). There was no significant difference in the UW-QOL scores of swallowing, chewing, speech, taste, and saliva in the three groups at one year after operation and before operation ( P>0.05). Conclusion:In the repair of tissue defects after operation of malignant tumors in the orbital region, three distinct types of tissue flaps can be utilized to repair tissue defects. TMF-FTSG has certain advantages for patients with minor bone defects, whereas ALTF and PMMF are more appropriate for patients with extensive tissue loss. PMMF is an effective method of repair for patients with a history of radiotherapy and poor vascular health in the recipient area.
