Among tumor microenvironment (TME), the entire metabolic characteristics of tumor-resident cells are reprogrammed to benefit the expansion of tumor cells, which count on glutamine in large part to fuel the tricarboxylic acid cycle for energy generation and anabolic metabolism support. Endothelial cells that are abducted by tumor cells to form a pathological tumor vascular network for constructing the hypoxic immunosuppressive TME, also rely on glutaminolysis as the "engine" of angiogenesis. Additionally, the glutamine metabolic preference benefits the polarization of TAMs towards pro-tumoral M2 phenotype as well. Herein, we developed a type of siRNA micelleplexes (MH@siGLS1) to reverse immunosuppressive TME by targeting glutaminolysis within tumor-resident cells for tumor vasculature normalization- and TAMs repolarization-enhanced photo-immunotherapy. Tumor cell starvation and antioxidant system destruction achieved by MH@siGLS1-mediated glutaminolysis inhibition could promote photodynamic therapy efficacy, which was available to trigger immunogenic cell death for adaptive antitumor immune responses. Meanwhile, glutaminolysis inhibition of tumor endothelial cells and TAMs could realize tumor vascular normalization and TAMs repolarization for antitumor immunity amplification. This study provides a unique perspective on cancer treatments by focusing on the interrelations of metabolic characteristics and the biofunctions of various cell types within TME.

Objective To analyze the prevalence, annual trends, and co-morbidity trends of common chronic diseases among workers in a large automotive industry from 2019 to 2021, and to provide a scientific basis for the health management of workers in the automotive industry. Methods The health examination data of workers in a large automotive industry from 2019-2021 were analyzed. Trends in the prevalence of chronic diseases and co-morbidities were analyzed using Join Point software and trend χ² test. Results The prevalence of metabolic syndrome, hyperuricemia, and fatty liver in the 2019 – 2021 health checkups of workers in this enterprise increased at an average rate of 9.27%, 11.35%, and 3.99% per year, respectively. The prevalence of metabolic syndrome, hyperuricemia, and fatty liver in male workers showed an increasing trend at an average rate of 7.05%, 9.25%, and 2.91% per year, respectively. The prevalence of metabolic syndrome in female workers showed an increasing trend at an average rate of 20.76% per year. The prevalence of metabolic syndrome, hyperuricemia and fatty liver was on the rise in the age groups ≤ 29 years old and 40 – 49 years old. The proportion of metabolic syndrome and its co-morbidity with one or two common chronic diseases showed an increasing trend. Conclusion The prevalence and co-morbidity of common chronic diseases in this enterprise are generally on the rise. The enterprise should focus on health education and preventive care for chronic diseases among workers aged ≤ 29 and 40 – 49 years old and male workers and control the annual increasing trend of metabolic syndrome among female workers and workers in the age group ≤ 29 years.

BACKGROUND:Due to the young age of children,the occipital condyle and foramen magnum are not fully developed,and they are prone to various diseases and injuries in the occipitocervical junction,which requires surgical treatment in severe cases.However,anatomical parameters for the development of the occipital condyle and foramen magnum in children are lacking. OBJECTIVE:To measure the morphological structure of the occipital condyle and foramen magnum by three-dimensional reconstruction technique,and to provide important anatomical parameters for occipitocervical junction lesions,related surgical procedures and forensic identification. METHODS:Imaging data of 389 cases of primitive children and adolescents involved in skull base undergoing spiral CT scanning(247 males and 142 females)aged 1-18 years were collected and divided into 1-3-year-old group,4-6-year-old group,7-9-year-old group,10-12-year-old group,13-15-year-old group,and 16-18-year-old group according to their age.Mimics 16.0 software was used to reconstruct the skull base and measure the length and width of the foramen magnum.A formula was used to calculate the area and index of the foramen magnum.We measured the length,width and height of the occipital condyle,the angle between the long axis and the sagittal axis of the occipital condyle(O-S angle),the included angle between the midpoint of the front and back edges of the foramen magnum and the connection between the back edge of occipital condyle and the intersection point of the foramen magnum(F-O angle),and the included angle between the midpoint of the front and back edges of the foramen magnum and the midpoint of the back wall of the sublingual neural tube(F-H angle).Gender,side and age differences were analyzed among the indicators. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1)In foramen magnum measurement,there was no significant difference between sexes in the index of the foramen magnum(P>0.05),but there were significant differences in length,width and area of the foramen magnum(P<0.05).(2)The O-S angle,F-O angle and F-H angle of the occipitral condyle were not significantly different between genders(P>0.05),but length,width and height of the occipital condyle were significantly different between genders(P<0.05).(3)There were no significant differences in the length of the occipital condyle among different groups(P>0.05),but there were significant differences in the width and height of the occipital condyle,O-S angle,F-O angle and F-H angle among different groups(P<0.05).(4)Length,width and area of the foramen magnum,length,width and height of the occipital condyle showed a wavy increasing trend with the increase of age,while O-S,F-O and F-H angles showed a wavy decreasing trend with the increase of age,while the index of the foramen magnum showed no significant change.(5)In conclusion,there are gender and lateral differences in the morphological indexes of the foramen magnum and the occipital condyle in children.These differences can provide an important reference for clinical surgical approach selection and forensic examination.

OBJECTIVE To explore the effects of multi-disciplinary comprehensive management team of tertiary hospital collaborated with the pharmacists from community health service center （hereinafter referred to as “community pharmacists”） on elderly patients with hypertension in the community. METHODS Elderly patients with hypertension from May 2020 to May 2021 in Yuhua Community Health Service Center of Nanjing were divided into control group （76 cases） and observation group （76 cases） according to the management style. The control group was treated with regular community medical services and the observation group received regular community medical services plus pharmaceutical care provided by the comprehensive management team collaborated with community pharmacists. The compliance， blood pressure control status and hypertension-related complications were compared between 2 groups before management and after 24 months of management. RESULTS After 24 months of management， the compliance and blood pressure compliance rates in both groups were higher than before management； meanwhile， the observation group was significantly higher than control group at the corresponding period （P＜0.05 or P＜ 0.01）. The blood pressure levels of both groups were significantly lower than before management， and the systolic blood pressure as well as the incidences of the whole complications and cerebrovascular injury in the observation group were significantly lower than control group at the 583867635@qq.com corresponding period （P＜0.05）. There was statistical significance in the effects of the rate of reaching the standard of blood pressure on the complications （P＜0.01）. CONCLUSIONS The hypertension management mode of comprehensive management team collaborated with community pharmacists can significantly improve the compliance and blood pressure compliance rate of elderly patients with hypertension， and reduce the incidence of hypertension-related complications.

In the process of achieving the"Healthy China 2030"goal,the importance of health knowledge popularization behavior is increasingly prominent.Medical communication has emerged to meet the growing demand for medical popularization and improve the shortage of professional medical staff in medical knowledge popularization.At present,literature is relatively scarce on the development process of medical communication in the academic community.By analyzing the development process of this discipline,this paper divided the development process of the knowledge system of medical communication into three stages,including the"initial stage",the"practical exploration stage",and the"rapid development stage".After summarizing the different characteristics exhibited in the three stages,it can be concluded that the number of colleges and universities offering medical communication courses is gradually increasing,and social organizations such as the Society of Medical Communication have been established one after another,expanding the influence of the discipline.The development of medical communication not only helps to enhance the popularization and communication abilities of medical students,but also accelerates the development of China's health industry through its extensive influence at the practical level.

Objective To investigate the prevalence of parasitic infections in market-sold aquatic products in Shanghai Municipality, and to understand the knowledge and practice towards food-borne parasitic diseases among residents, so as to provide insights into the surveillance and control of food-borne parasitic diseases. Methods Freshwater products, seawater products and pickled products were randomly obtained from agricultural trade markets, supermarkets, retail stores and restaurants in Huangpu, Putuo, Minhang and Qingpu districts of Shanghai Municipality from 2020 to 2023. Parasite metacercariae and larvae were detected in these aquatic products using pressing method, digestion method and the dissection method, and the detection of parasitic infection was compared in different types of aquatic products. In addition, the knowledge and practice towards food-borne parasitic diseases were investigated among residents aged 10-80 years old who randomly selected from agricultural trade markets, supermarkets, community streets and other population concentration areas in these four districts by questionnaire in 2023, and the awareness of food-borne parasitic diseases knowledge and percentage of healthy behaviors formation were analyzed. Results A total of 2 109 aquatic products sampled from Huangpu, Putuo, Minhang and Qingpu districts of Shanghai Municipality from 2020 to 2023 were detected, and there were 317 products detected with parasitic infections, with an overall detection rate of 15.03%. There were 8 products detected with parasitic infections in 1 221 freshwater products, with a detection rate of 0.66%, and Clonorchis sinensis was the predominant parasite, which was detected in Pseudorasbora parva, Rhodeus amarus and Carassius auratus. There were 82 products detected with parasitic infections in 501 seawater products, with a detection rate of 16.37%, and Anisakis was the predominant parasite, which was detected in Trichiurus lepturus, Larimichthys polyactis, Pneumatophorus japonicus, Collchthys lucidus, Mugil cephalus, Larimichthys crocea, Scomberomorus niphonius, Stromateoides argenteus and Cololabis saira. There were 227 products detected with parasitic infections in 387 pickled products, with a detection rate of 58.66%, and the prevalence rates of Echinostoma metacercariae were 76.27% (225/295) in Bullacta exarata and 11.11% (2/18) in crab pastes, respectively (χ² = 159.511, P < 0.05). No Paragonimus infection was found in freshwater shrimps, crabs and pickled products, and no Diphyllobothrium latum larvae infection was detected in freshwater and seawater fish. Questionnaire surveys showed that the awareness of food-borne parasitic diseases knowledge was 79.00% (222/281), and the percentages of washing hands before and after meals, not drinking filtered water or tap water directly, not eating raw or semi-raw food, being willing to change special dietary preferences or bad living habits for health, and being willing to learn more about food-borne parasitic diseases knowledge were 99.64% (280/281), 72.24% (203/281), 56.23% (158/281), 96.80% (272/281) and 97.51% (274/281) among residents living in Huangpu, Putuo, Minhang and Qingpu districts, respectively. Conclusions There are food-borne parasite contaminations in market-sold aquatic products in Shanghai Municipality. Although residents are aware of food-borne parasitic diseases knowledge, sustainable surveillance of food-borne parasitic diseases and improved health education are required to minimize the risk of human parasitic infections.

To construct monoclonal antibodies against Haemonchus contortus native H11 protein.In this study,five 4-6 weeks female BALB/c mice were immunized with native H11 protein extrac-ted from adult worms by Concanavalin A lectin.Spleen cells were isolated and fused with SP2/0 cells after 3 times of immunization.Two hybridoma cell lines,named A1E3 and A10E1,which could stably secrete monoclonal antibodies against H11 protein were obtained.The subtype identi-fication and immunological analysis showed that the heavy chain of the two monoclonal antibodies belonged to IgG1 and the light chain was κ type,and both monoclonal antibodies recognized the natural antigen H11.Immunohistochemical localization and larval developmental inhibition test in vitro showed that the mAb A1E3 could be localized to the intestinal microvilli of the adult worm,and that the antibody can inhibit the growth of the fourth-stage larvae.The successful production of two monoclonal antibodies not only lays the foundation for the study of protective antigenic epitopes of the H11 protein and the development of epitope vaccines,but also provides a potential application of the monoclonal antibody for the treatment of haemonchusis in animals.

Objective:To explore the relationship between relapse tendency and childhood maltreatment in methamphetamine-dependent youths,and the role of impulsivity and quality of life in the relationship.Methods:To-tally 287 methamphetamine-dependent youths(160 females,127 males)were selected in compulsory drug rehabili-tation centers.The Relapse Tendency Questionnaire(RTQ),Childhood Trauma Questionnaire-Short Form(CTQ-SF),Barrett Impulsivity Scale(BIS-11)and Quality of Life for Drug Addicts(QOL-DA)for Drug Addicts were used to conduct the survey.SPSS macro program PROCESS was used to test the mediating role.Results:The BIS-11 total scores acted as a partial mediator between the total scores of CTQ-SF and RTQ,with an effect value of 0.03(95％CI:0.01-0.05),the QOL-DA total scores acted as a full mediator between the total scores of CTQ-SF and RTQ,with an effect value of 0.05(95％CI:0.02-0.08),and the scores of BIS-11 and QOL-DA acted as chain mediators between total scores of CTQ-SF and RTQ,with an effect value of 0.01(95％CI:0.00-0.03).Conclusion:Childhood maltreatment,impulsivity,and quality of life may be associated with relapse tendencies in methamphetamine-dependent youths.

Objective To report and analyze the clinical characteristics of kidney transplant recipients(KTRs)combined with novel coronavirus Omicron variant strain infection of novel coronavirus(SARS-CoV-2),and to investigate the possible factors affecting the serum creatinine change.Methods The patients under-going allogeneic kidney transplantation and complicating Omicron variant strain infection in this hospital from October 2022 to December 2023 were retrospectively observed.Their clinical data,basic complications and prognosis,etc.were collected and analyzed.The possible factors affecting the serum creatinine change were an-alyzed.Results Among the 114 cases of KTRs combined with Omicron variant strain infection included in this study,there were 90 cases(78.9％)in the home management group(group A),18 cases(15.8％)in the non-intensive isolation ward group(group B)and 6 cases(5.3％)in the ICU group(group C).The most common symptoms were in turn fever(90.4％),fatigue(65.8％)and cough(61.4％),the clinical manifesta-tions were mainly upper respiratory tract infection symptoms.The overall mortality rate was 2.6％(3/114),moreover the dead patients all were in the group C.The number of basic comorbidities in the group C was higher than that in the group B and group A(P＜0.05).The patients were re-divided into 33 cases(28.9％)in the creatinine increase group(group D),71 cases(62.3％)in the creatinine unchange group(group E)and 10 cases(8.8％)in the creatinine decrease group(group F).The patients in the F group were the patients with mild and moderate Omicron variant strain infection in the group A,and a larger proportions of the pa-tients in the group D and group F discontinued or reduced the calcineurin inhibitor(CNI)type drugs than in the group E.Conclusion The hazard of Omicron variant strains to KTRs has been greatly reduced compared with previous other variant strains.Realizing the immune balance between anti-infection and anti-rejection is the effective measure for preventing renal function damage in KTRs.

Objective To investigate the changes in blood microbiota in patients with high altitude polycythemia(HAPC)and the correlation with the risk of HAPC.Methods A cross-sectional trial was carried out among 41 HAPC patients(HAPC group)and 41 healthy plateau individuals(control group)who took physical examination in the Health Management Department of No.953 Hospital of PLA Army in 2021.High-throughput sequencing technology was used to detect the V3-V4 variable region of the 16S ribosomal RNA(16S rRNA)gene in the blood smaples,and the composition and difference of the blood microbiota were compared and analyzed between the 2 groups.Results All the participants were male and Han people,and there were no significant differences in baseline data such as age,body mass index and plateau migration time between the 2 groups(P＞0.05).The α-diversity of blood microbiota in the HAPC group,including the Simpson index(0.931±0.005 vs 0.907±0.008,P＜0.05),Goods Coverage index(0.998±0.001 vs 0.997±0.001,P＜0.001)and Pielou index(0.597±0.011 vs 0.567±0.009,P＜0.05)were significantly higher than those in the control group.Meanwhile,obvious difference was observed in the β diversity between the 2 groups(P＜0.01).The relative abundance analysis of bacteria showed that Pelomonas(0.046±0.004 vs 0.033±0.003,P＜0.05),Azospirillum(0.046±0.006 vs 0.021±0.003,P＜0.01),Acidovorax(0.032± 0.003 vs 0.019±0.002,Azospirillum(0.046±0.006 vs 0.021±0.003,P＜0.01)and Acidovorax(0.032± 0.003 vs 0.019±0.002,P＜0.05)were statistically higher in the HAPC group than the control group.LEfSe analysis showed that the characteristic blood microbiota of the HAPC group were α-Proteobacteria,and those of control group were Trichospiridae.Conclusion Significant changes are found in diversity,relative abundance and characteristic bacteria of the blood microbiota between the HAPC patients and healthy people at the high altitude,which might be closely associated with the occurrence and development of HAPC.
