The Baihe Dihuang Decoction(BDD) is a representative traditional Chinese medicine formula that has been used to treat depression. This study employed metabolomics and network pharmacology to investigate the mechanism of BDD in the treatment of depression. Fifty male Sprague-Dawley(SD) rats were randomly assigned to the normal control group, model group, fluoxetine group, and high-and low-dose BDD groups. A rat model of depression was established through chronic unpredictable mild stress(CUMS), and the behavioral changes were detected by forced swimming test and open field test. Metabolomics technology was used to analyze the metabolic profiles of serum and hippocampal tissue to screen differential metabolites and related metabolic pathways. Additionally, network pharmacology and molecular docking techniques were used to investigate the key targets and core active ingredients of BDD in improving metabolic abnormalities of depression. A "component-target-metabolite-pathway" regulatory network was constructed. BDD could significantly improve depressive-like behavior in CUMS rats and regulate 12 differential metabolites in serum and 27 differential metabolites in the hippocampus, involving tryptophan metabolism, phenylalanine, tyrosine, and tryptophan biosynthesis, alanine, aspartate, and glutamate metabolism, tyrosine metabolism, and purine metabolism. Verbascoside, isorbascoside, and regaloside B were the key active ingredients for improving metabolic abnormalities in depression. Epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR), protooncogene tyrosine-protein kinase(SRC), glycogen synthase kinase 3β(GSK3β), and androgen receptor(AR) were the key core targets for improving metabolic abnormalities of depression. This study offered a preliminary insight into the mechanism of BDD in alleviating metabolic abnormalities of depression through network regulation, providing valuable guidance for its clinical use and subsequent research.

Objective:
QL1604 is a highly selective, humanized monoclonal antibody against programmed death protein 1. We assessed the efficacy and safety of QL1604 plus chemotherapy as first-line treatment in patients with advanced cervical cancer.
Methods:
This was a multicenter, open-label, single-arm, phase II study. Patients with advanced cervical cancer and not previously treated with systemic chemotherapy were enrolled to receive QL1604 plus paclitaxel and cisplatin/carboplatin on day 1 of each 21-day cycle for up to 6 cycles, followed by QL1604 maintenance treatment.
Results:
Forty-six patients were enrolled and the median follow-up duration was 16.5 months. An 84.8% of patients had recurrent disease and 13.0% had stage IVB disease. The objective response rate (ORR) per Response Evaluation Criteria in Advanced Solid Tumors (RECIST) v1.1 was 58.7% (27/46). The immune ORR per immune RECIST was 60.9% (28/46).The median duration of response was 9.6 months (95% confidence interval [CI]=5.5–not estimable). The median progression-free survival was 8.1 months (95% CI=5.7–14.0). Fortyfive (97.8%) patients experienced treatment-related adverse events (TRAEs). The most common grade≥3 TRAEs (>30%) were neutrophil count decrease (50.0%), anemia (32.6%), and white blood cell count decrease (30.4%).
Conclusion
QL1604 plus paclitaxel-cisplatin/carboplatin showed promising antitumor activity and manageable safety profile as first-line treatment in patients with advanced cervical cancer. Programmed cell death protein 1 inhibitor plus chemotherapy may be a potential treatment option for the patient population who have contraindications or can’t tolerate bevacizumab, which needs to be further verified in phase III confirmatory study.

Objective:To explore the current situation of ageism among older adults in megacity communities and analyze its influencing factors. Methods:From November to December 2023, convenience sampling was used to select 200 older adults who visited the Niujie Community Health Service Center in Xicheng District, Beijing as the research subject. A survey was conducted on older adults using the General Information Questionnaire, Barthel Index, 15-Item Geriatric Depression Scale, Family Adaptation, Partnership, Growth, Affection and Resolve Scale (Family APGAR Scale), Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, Social Support Rating Scale, Lubben Social Network Scale, and Ageism Questionnaire. Multiple linear regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of ageism among older adults in the community. Results:A total of 200 questionnaires were distributed and 200 valid questionnaires were collected, with a valid response rate of 100.00% (200/200). The total score of ageism among 200 older adults in the community was (3.55±0.31), with objective and subjective scores of (3.59±0.28) and (3.50±0.48), respectively. Multiple linear regression showed that occupational status, pre-retirement or current work, family care, self-esteem, and social support were the influencing factors of ageism among older adults in the community ( P<0.05) . Conclusions:Ageism among older adults is influenced by various factors. Medical and nursing staff should focus on older adults who are retired, mainly engaged in physical work, and have poor family and social support when formulating intervention strategies. Community health workers should regularly organize activities to encourage older adults to actively participate, enhance their sense of social participation, reduce ageism, so as to promote healthy aging.

Lymphatic malformations (LMs) are one of the more commonly encountered cystic head-and-neck tumors. Surgical excision is the traditional treatment with inherent perioperative risks. Alternative treatment of these tumors using percutaneous sclerotherapy agents has been proposed with no major consensus on the treatment approaches and sclerotherapy agent choices. This paper presents a systematic review of percutaneous ethanol sclerotherapy for neck lymphangioma and a case report of ethanol ablation in a patient with neck lymphangioma with good cosmesis results. Systematic review was conducted on PubMed using key words: “Ethanol” OR “Alcohol” AND “Ablation” OR “Sclerotherapy” OR “Sclerosing” AND “Lymphangioma” OR “Lymphatic Malformation” as per Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guideline. Three hundred fifteen articles from initial PubMed search results were screened by titles and abstracts. Full text was retrieved. 3 studies were included in our systematic review. Overall evidence quality is modest with marked heterogeneity. All 12 patients treated with percutaneous ethanol sclerotherapy for head-and-neck LMs reported favorable response. Only 1 patient (8.3%) encountered a peri-procedural complication. Percutaneous ethanol sclerotherapy of neck lymphangioma in our patient also reported favorable response with no complications. Invasive treatment for LMs should be personalized and dependent on the availability of experienced operators/ centers with appropriate volume in either primary excisional surgery or percutaneous sclerotherapy. Percutaneous ethanol sclerotherapy is an acceptable option with benefits of widespread availability and cost-effectiveness in our South-East Asia region. Limitations of our review are largely due to significant study heterogeneity.

Objective:
Subthreshold attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) has been suggested to be a “morbid condition” which also needs medical attention.
Methods:
The present study recruited 89 children with subthreshold ADHD (sADHD), 115 children with diagnosed ADHD (cADHD), and 79 healthy controls (HC) to explore the clinical manifestation, executive functions (EFs) of sADHD, and the caregiver strain. The clinical manifestation was evaluated through clinical interviews and parent-reports. Executive functions were assessed both experimentally and ecologically. Caregiver strain was measured by a parent-reported questionnaire.
Results:
For the clinical manifestation, both sADHD and cADHD indicated impairments when compared with HC. The comorbidities and the scaled symptoms indicated that the externalizing behaviors were relatively less serious in sADHD than cADHD, whereas the internalizing behaviors between two groups were comparable. For ecological EFs, sADHD scored between cADHD and HC in inhibition and working memory. For experimental EFs, sADHD was comparable to cADHD in inhibition, shifting, and was worse than cADHD in verbal working memory. For the caregiver strain, all scores of sADHD were between that in cADHD and that in HC.
Conclusion
Our present findings supported the suggestion of subthreshold ADHD as “morbid condition,” which should be treated with caution in clinical practice, especially for the internalizing behaviors and some key components of EFs.

Objective: To evaluate the advantages and safety of Plerixafor in combination with granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) in autologous hematopoietic stem cell mobilization of lymphoma. Methods: Lymphoma patients who received autologous hematopoietic stem cell mobilization with Plerixafor in combination with G-CSF or G-CSF alone were obtained. The clinical data, the success rate of stem cell collection, hematopoietic reconstitution, and treatment-related adverse reactions between the two groups were evaluated retrospectively. Results: A total of 184 lymphoma patients were included in this analysis, including 115 cases of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (62.5%) , 16 cases of classical Hodgkin's lymphoma (8.7%) , 11 cases of follicular non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (6.0%) , 10 cases of angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma (5.4%) , 6 cases of mantle cell lymphoma (3.3%) , and 6 cases of anaplastic large cell lymphoma (3.3%) , 6 cases of NK/T-cell lymphoma (3.3%) , 4 cases of Burkitt's lymphoma (2.2%) , 8 cases of other types of B-cell lymphoma (4.3%) , and 2 cases of other types of T-cell lymphoma (1.1%) ; 31 patients had received radiotherapy (16.8%) . The patients in the two groups were recruited with Plerixafor in combination with G-CSF or G-CSF alone. The baseline clinical characteristics of the two groups were basically similar. The patients in the Plerixafor in combination with the G-CSF mobilization group were older, and the number of recurrences and third-line chemotherapy was higher. 100 patients were mobilized with G-CSF alone. The success rate of the collection was 74.0% for one day and 89.0% for two days. 84 patients in the group of Plerixafor combined with G-CSF were recruited successfully with 85.7% for one day and 97.6% for two days. The success rate of mobilization in the group of Plerixafor combined with G-CSF was substantially higher than that in the group of G-CSF alone (P=0.023) . The median number of CD34(+) cells obtained in the mobilization group of Plerixafor combined with G-CSF was 3.9×10(6)/kg. The median number of CD34(+) cells obtained in the G-CSF Mobilization group alone was 3.2×10(6)/kg. The number of CD34(+) cells collected by Plerixafor combined with G-CSF was considerably higher than that in G-CSF alone (P=0.001) . The prevalent adverse reactions in the group of Plerixafor combined with G-CSF were grade 1-2 gastrointestinal reactions (31.2%) and local skin redness (2.4%) . Conclusion: The success rate of autologous hematopoietic stem cell mobilization in lymphoma patients treated with Plerixafor combined with G-CSF is significantly high. The success rate of collection and the absolute count of CD34(+) stem cells were substantially higher than those in the group treated with G-CSF alone. Even in older patients, second-line collection, recurrence, or multiple chemotherapies, the combined mobilization method also has a high success rate of mobilization.
