Objective To collect and analyze outpatient prescription data for exogenous cough treatment from a hospital in Shenzhen, and to identify the characteristics and medication patterns of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).Methods This study collected prescriptions from a hospital in Shenzhen for exogenous cough treatment in January 2024.R language for data mining were used to analyze the medication frequency, clustering patterns, and association rules in the treatment of exogenous cough by TCM and to explore the medication patterns and the usage of classic formulas in TCM for this condition. Results A total of 451 outpatient prescriptions for exogenous cough were include, the top ten most frequently used herbs were Licorice,Bitter almond,Bellflower,Ephedra,Tangerine peel,Stemonae radix,Tuckahoe,Pinellia ternata,Nepeta,Bulb of thunberg fritillary.Cluster analysis and association rules revealed that San'ao decoction,Kikyodon soup, and Zhisou powder were commonly prescribed, targeting lung function, dispersing wind, and resolving phlegm to effectively alleviate cough symptoms.Significant differences in medication usage were observed across different syndrome types. For the wind cold attacking lung pattern, the core herbs were warm in nature and focused on dispersing with acrid-warm properties.Conversely, the treatment of wind heat attacking the lung pattern typically involved cold-natured herbs, with a primary focus on clearing and draining lung heat.Stratification by age revealed that the pediatric group often used drugs with mild properties, such as Stemona and Shegan. The young adult group tended to be prescribed cold-natured drugs like Forsythia and Hogfonnel Root. The middle-aged and elderly group preferred warming and tonifying drugs such as Japanese Catnip and Perilla frutescens. Conclusion The TCM treatment of exogenous cough primarily focuses on releasing the exterior and dispersing the lung.Due to the region's subtropical monsoon climate and temperature fluctuations physicians flexibly modified classical formulas such as San'ao decoction and Zhisou powder according to individual constitutions and symptom patterns. This targeted,syndrome-based approach effectively disperses the lung qi,stops cough and transforms phlegm, and alleviates cough.

To investigate the significance of GATA-2 and immunoglobulin heavy chain germline gene C( micro ) (IgH germline gene C( micro )) expression and coexpression in various leukemia cells, GATA-2 and IgH germline gene C( micro ) mRNA in bone marrow and peripheral blood cells from 63 leukemia patients were detected by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). No GATA-2 or IgH germline gene C( micro ) mRNA were detected in normal bone marrow and peripheral blood. GATA-2 mRNA were be detected in 91.3% patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), 75% patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) as well as 83.3% patients with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML-CP); IgH germline gene C( micro ) mRNA were be identified in 47.8% AML, 41.6% ALL, as well as 5.6% CML-CP. All patients with CML-AP and CML-BC expressed GATA-2 mRNA and partly expressed IgH germline gene C( micro ) mRNA. 47.8% AML and 41.6% ALL patients coexpressed GATA-2 and IgH germline gene C( micro ) mRNA. GATA-2(+) IgH germline gene C( micro )(+) cells of AML and ALL were mainly HLA-DR positive. As aberration of the transcription factors, GATA-2 and germline IgH germline gene C( micro ) gene might been linked to leukemogenesis. Various expression of GATA-2 and germline IgH germline gene C( micro ) gene in leukemia might correlated with the heterogeneous differentiation level of leukemia cells. The fact that leukemia with GATA-2(+) IgH germline gene C( micro )(+) coexpression indicated multilineage impairment of hematopoietic cells.

Objective To evaluate the engraftment state after allogeneic peripheral blood stem cell transplantation(Allo-PBSCT)in 2 exposed patients in Shandong “10?21” radiation accident. Methods The dynamic cytogenetic analysis was performed by chromosome aberration(CA)analysis,R-band karyotyping analysis and micronucleus(MN)assay of peripheral blood and/or bone marrow samples of 2 patients(A and B).Results The results showed that the transplantation was successful(complete chimerism),and the engraftment state was stable. No difference was observed between the results of cytogenetic analysis from peripheral blood samples and bone marrow samples. These results were in fairly good accordance with those results by short tandem repeats-polymerase chain reaction(STR-PCR)and clinical manifestations. Conclusions The results suggested that the dynamic observations of dicentric and ring aberrations and MN can be used as an indication to estimate the engraftment state after Allo-PBSCT,but only for the patient with acute radiation sickness. Moreover, the cytogenetic analysis performed on bone marrow samples is better than that on peripheral blood samples when the lymphocytes were reduced sharply in peripheral blood.

Objective A biological dose estimation by cytokinesis-block micronucleus(CBMN)assay was performed on 2 patients exposed to accidental radiation.Method Micronucleus assay and dose estimation by CBMN in peripheral blood and bone marrow were performed in 2 patients(A and B)suffering from radiation sickness. Results No binucleated lymphocytes were observed in peripheral blood of 2 patients. The results of bone marrow examination showed that only one binucleated cell was discovered in patient A.The rough estimation of radiation dose of A was above 20Gy according to the degree of reduction of binucleated cell in our previous study. The micronucleus frequency was 2.42 per cell and the dose estimation was 8.7(8.0-9.4)Gy for patient B.These results were approximately in accordance with that of dose estimations by physical method, chromosome aberration analysis,ESR method, and clinical manifestations. Conclusion MN assay is simple, quick and accurate. It is a reliable biodosimetry in addition to chromosome aberration analysis.
