Objective To investigate the value of delayed 18F-FDG PET/CT with oral intake small dosage diuretics for diagnosing urogenital cancers. Methods Patients with suspected urogenital system cancers were divided into routine dosage diuretic group (n=12) and small dosage diuretics group (n=35).All patients underwent whole-body PET/CT followed by delayed scanning after oral 40 mg or 20 mg Furosemide respectively. The urine maximum standard uptake value (SUVmax) and T/U (the ratio of urine and lesion SUVmax) before and after diuresis were compared respectively.Diagnostic efficacy for malignant urogenital system cancers of small dosage group was calculated. Results The urine SUVmax and T/U were statistically different between routine whole body and delayed scans in both groups (P<0.05).SUVmax and T/U of routine and delayed scans had no statistical differences between the two groups (P>0.05).In small dosage group, the sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative predictive value and accuracy of delayed imaging and routine imaging was 96.77% (30/31)and 61.29% (19/31),75.00% (3/4) and 50.00% (2/4),96.77% (30/31) and 90.48% (19/21),75.00% (3/4)and 14.29% (2/14),94.29% (33/35) and 60.00% (21/35),respectively.The sensitivity and accuracy were statistically different between routine and delayed imaging (P<0.001).Conclusion Delayed PET/CT imaging with oral small dosage Furosemide has the same efficacy as PET/CT using routine dosage diuretics, which is useful for diagnosing urogenital cancers.

Objective To investigate the awareness of continued nursing in nurses in hospitals of different levels. Methods Totally 762 nursing managers and clinical nurses from 48 community health service centers in Shanghai and 109 secondary and tertiary hospitals in China were investigated for their awareness of continued nursing with self-provided questionnaires. Results The significance and demand of continued nursing were well recognized by nursing staffs, a score of 3-4; the knowledge, status quo and will of nurses were not sufficiently recognized, attributed a score of 2-3; the number of nursing staffs had the lowest score of (2.05±0.80). There were statistically significant differences between nurses from hospitals of different levels in the scores of all dimensions (P<0.01), except for the following dimensions: awareness of nursing knowledge, attention of leaders and information transmission (P>0.05). Comparing nursing managers with clinical nurses, there were statistically significant differences (P<0.05), except in the following dimensions: demand for policy support, demand for training, knowledge of continued nursing, leaders' attention, the number of nursing staffs and interinstitutional information transmission (P>0.05).Conclusions We should further strengthen nursing staffs' awareness of continued nursing, define the role of hospitals of different levels in carrying out continued nursing, conduct targeted training, and improve the quality of continued nursing services.

Objective To explore community managers' awareness of hospital-community linkage of continuing care on chronic disease, and status quo of this linkage. Methods In-depth interview was conducted to 17 chronic disease managers in community health service centers, with the results analyzed by Colaizzi 7-step analyzing method. Results For the significance of carrying out hospital-community linkage of continuing care on chronic disease, most community managers hold a positive opinion. The hospital-community linkage model had come into form, yet in general, it was not carried out satisfactorily, with multiple restrictive factors like blocked information transmission, insufficient community resources, and low awareness of the patients, etc. Conclusions Currently, hospital-community linkage of continuing care on chronic disease is still affected by various kinds of retardant factors, making it difficult to be carried out in real sense. With existing problems taken into consideration, feasible modes on hospital-community linkage of continuing care on chronic disease should be explored.

Objective To observe the steps of vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) calcification induced by high phosphate enviroment in vitro. Methods VSMCs were incubated with high phosphate (2.5 mmol/L or 3.5 mmool/L) medium for different times. Expression of core binding factor α1(Cbfα1), osteopontin(OP), collagen type Ⅰ(Col Ⅰ), osteocalcin(OC) and α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) was investigated by Western blot, immunofluorcscencc staining and real time PCR. Mineral deposition was assessed by von Kossa aad Alizarin red staining. Ultrastructure of VSMCs calcification was observed by electron microscopy (EM). Results Up-regulated expression of osteoblast-specific transcription factor Cbfα1 in the nuclei oceured at as early as 12 hours. The protein of Col Ⅰ and OP was up-regalated when VSMCs were incubated in high phosphate medium for 3 days, and content of OC increased at the time of 6 days. When cultured in 2.5 mmol/L phosphate medium for 15 days, VSMCs lost their lineage marker α-SMA, developed granular calcium deposits. Moreover, the results of real time PCR indicated mRNA level of OP and Col Ⅰ increased at day 1, OC increased at day 5 and α-SMA level decreased at day 10, respectively. Ultrastructural analysis also confirmed the presence of collagen and matrix vesicles in the cells. Conclusion VSMCs phenotype transformation induced by high phosphate enviroment is an orchestrated, highly regulated process.

AIM: To investigate the electrophysiological characteristics of ventricular myocyte both in subendocardium and in subepicardium during ischemia. METHODS: Using modified Ferrier's method of ischemic and reperfusion injury in isolated guinea pig right ventricular wall. RESULTS: The transmembranal electric activities in subendocardium and in subepicardium were all significantly abnormal, and it was more significant in subendocardium. CONCLUSION: The alteration degree of ventricular myocyte in subendocardium and in subepicardium during ischemia and early reperfusion was different, and this might be the electrophysiological basis of the vulnerability of the subendocardium.

2 0), and also by RT PCR. The gene expression in metastasis group was 6 86?1 84, and it was higher than that in non metastasis group. The results suggested that the high expressions of neural cell adhesion molecule gene might be correlated with the pathogenesis of NHL.
