Objective To explore the effects of single-session table tennis exercise with different intensities on working memory and the associated cognitive neural processing mechanisms in college students with depressive symptoms by using event-related potential(ERP)technology.Methods A convenience sampling approach was employed to recruit 100 college students with depressive symptoms from a university.Participants were randomly assigned at a 1∶1∶1∶1 ratio to low-intensity exercise group,moderate-intensity exercise group,high-intensity exercise group,or control group.The exercise groups participated in a single 30-min table tennis intervention at intensities corresponding to 57%-64%of maximum heart rate(HRmax)and rate of perceived exertion(RPE)scores ranging from 9-11,65%-75%HRmax and RPE scores 12-13,and 76%-95%HRmax and RPE scores of 14-17(5-min warm-up,20-min monitored exercise,5-min cool-down).The control group did not receive any exercise intervention.Pre-and post-intervention assessments of verbal working memory(VWM)and spatial working memory(SWM)were performed,alongside the recording of ERP components,including the amplitude and latency of N2 and P3,during the tasks.Results A total of 91 participants(20 in the low-intensity exercise group,25 in the moderate-intensity exercise group,23 in the high-intensity exercise group,and 23 in the control group)were enrolled for analysis.In the VWM task,the main effect of time on accuracy was found to be significant(F(1,89)=5.942,P=0.017,partial η2=0.064).Post-intervention,accuracy was significantly improved in the moderate-intensity and high-intensity exercise groups(change=0.027,95%confidence interval[CI]0.001-0.053,P=0.037;change=0.029,95%CI 0.002-0.055,P=0.040).The main effect of time on reaction time was also significant(F(1,89)=7.244,P=0.009,partial η2=0.077).The interaction between group and time was also significant(F(3,87)=2.844,P=0.042,partial η2=0.089).After the intervention,the reaction time was reduced in the low-intensity and moderate-intensity exercise groups(change=-0.095,95%CI-0.183--0.007,P=0.035;change=-0.079,95%CI-0.158-0,P=0.049).The interaction between time and electrode location in the P3 latency in ERP components was significant(F(3,87)=5.785,P＜0.001,partial η2=0.062),while the interactions for other ERP measures were not significant(all P＞0.05).In the SWM task,the main effect of time on accuracy was significant(F(1,89)=5.092,P=0.027,partial η2=0.055),while the interaction between group and time was not significant(F(3,87)=0.799,P=0.498,partial η2=0.027).After the intervention,accuracy was improved in the moderate-intensity exercise group(change=0.019,95%CI 0-0.037,P=0.046).The main effect of time on reaction time was significant(F(1,89)=14.322,P＜0.001,partial η2=0.141).The interaction between group and time was not significant(F(3,87)=1.521,P=0.215,partial η2=0.050).After the intervention,reaction time was shortened in the moderate-intensity and high-intensity exercise groups(change=-0.082,95%CI-0.136--0.027,P=0.004;change=-0.075,95%CI-0.131--0.018,P=0.029).The interaction between time and electrode location in the P3 amplitude in ERP components was significant(F(3,87)=5.475,P=0.001,partial η2=0.059),while the interactions for other ERP measures were not significant(all P＞0.05).Conclusion Single-session table tennis exercise with different intensities has a positive effect on working memory in college students with depressive symptoms.Moderate-to high-intensity exercise can enhance VWM accuracy,while low-to moderate-intensity exercise can reduce VWM reaction time.Furthermore,moderate-intensity exercise can improve SWM accuracy,and moderate-to high-intensity exercise can shorten SWM reaction time.Additionally,high-intensity exercise can lead to greater activation of ERP components.

Objective:To summarize the single-center experience of serial transverse enteroplasty (STEP) in children with intestinal failure.Methods:The clinical data of 13 children who underwent STEP surgery at our department from Jan 2016 to Dec 2022 was retrospectively analyzed.Results:Eight children were females ,5 were males. There were 10 premature infants and 3 full-term infants. The gestational age was 26 +3-39 +5 weeks, and the birth weight was 860 -3 700 g. The median age of surgery was 12 months, the median length of small intestine was 70 (50-130) cm, the diameter of preoperative intestinal dilation was about 4.5 to 7.5 cm, and the operation interval was 2.5 to 3.0 cm. Continuous transverse enteroenteroplasty resulted in an average increase of 75% (66% to 100%) in the length of the dilated intestinal segment. The total length of the small intestine increases by 16.0% (12.5%-30.0%). After the operation, 12 of the 13 children (92.3%) were removed from parenteral nutrition to achieve intestinal adaptation of the remaining bowel, and the mean time of withdrawal from parenteral nutrition was 138(20-1 011) days after the operation. Intestinal dilatation occurred in 2 patients, and gastrointestinal bleeding occurred in 4 patients, which healed after conservative treatment. Conclusions:STEP operation is suitable for children with short intestinal length and obvious expansion of intestinal tube. STEP can not only reduce the diameter of the enlarged intestine, but also extend the length of the intestine, increase the feeding tolerance, improve the clinical effect of enteral nutrition, and shorten the time for children to achieve intestinal adaptation.

Objective To explore the relationship between basic motor skills and social interaction ability in school-age children with moderate autism,and the mediating role of executive function and the realization path.Methods A cross-sectional design was used to investigate 117 school-age children with autism from Sep.to Dec.2020.The level of basic motor skills was assessed by the test of gross motor development(TGMD),the impairment of executive function was assessed by the behavior rating inventory of executive function(BRIEF),and the social disorder was assessed by the social responsive scale-second edition(SRS-2).Pearson correlation analysis was used to explore the interrelationship,and structural equation modeling was applied to explore the path relationship.Results There was a significant negative correlation between the level of basic motor skills and SRS-2 scores(r=-0.312,P＜0.001).There were significant negative correlations between the level of basic motor skills and the BRIEF scores of inhibition(r=-0.336,P＜0.001),switching(r=-0.325,P＜0.001),affective control(r=-0.338,P＜0.001),task initiation(r=-0.240,P=0.009),working memory(r=-0.278,P=0.002),and planning(r=-0.224,P=0.015).The SRS-2 score was positively correlated with the BRIEF scores of inhibition(r=0.378,P＜0.001),switching(r=0.299,P=0.001),affective control(r=0.417,P＜0.001),task initiation(r=0.246,P=0.007),working memory(r=0.409,P＜0.001),and monitoring(r=0.258,P=0.005).Executive function played a complete intermediary role between basic motor skills and social interaction ability(B=-1.912,95％confidence interval:-3.116 to-1.069).Conclusion In school-age children with moderate autism,executive function and social interaction ability change positively with the level of basic motor skills.Basic motor skills can affect social interaction ability through the mediating role of executive function,and inhibition and affective control are important pathways to achieve this.

Objective:To explore the correlation between frailty and carotid plaque stability in patients with ischemic stroke.Methods:This study was a cross-sectional study. From May to December 2023, convenience sampling was used to select 360 patients with ischemic stroke in the Department of Neurology of Affiliated Hospital of Jining Medical University and underwent carotid artery color Doppler ultrasound examination as the study subject. Patients were surveyed using the General Information Questionnaire, Barthel Index and the Edmonton Frail Scale. Carotid artery color Doppler ultrasound was used to evaluate the stability of carotid plaques in patients. Multivariate Logistic regression was used to explore the correlation between frailty and carotid plaque stability.Results:A total of 360 questionnaires were distributed, and 352 valid questionnaires were collected, with a valid response rate of 97.78%. The incidence of frailty in 352 ischemic stroke patients was 44.89% (158/352). Multivariate analysis showed that compared to stable plaques, unstable carotid plaques were an independent risk factor for frailty in patients with ischemic stroke ( OR=2.127, 95% confidence interval: 1.247-3.626) . Conclusions:Compared to stable plaques, unstable carotid plaques increase the risk of frailty in patients with ischemic stroke. Strengthening the assessment of carotid plaques in patients with ischemic stroke by nursing staff can early identify high-risk individuals for frailty, and timely carry out personalized interventions, thereby reducing the occurrence of adverse health events in patients.

Objective A wearable wireless chest patch monitoring terminal is designed to realize the acquisition,processing,and wireless transmission of ECG,respiration,and body temperature signals.Methods The analog front-end ADS1292R,which integrates respiratory impedance and ECG front-end,is utilized to collect human ECG and respiratory signals.The body temperature is collected using a low-power,high-precision digital temperature sensor MAX30208.A filter algorithm for signal processing and wireless transmission is designed through a low-power nRF52840 Bluetooth SoC with an Arm Cortex-M4F kernel.Results The experimental results show that the designed monitoring terminal can monitor the ECG,respiration,and body temperature parameters of the human body in real-time and send the monitoring results via Bluetooth,with a continuous working time of more than 13 hours.Conclusion The wearable wireless chest patch monitoring terminal features good portability,long standby time,and high measurement accuracy,and it has promising application prospects in the fields of family health monitoring,mobile medical treatment,and smart healthcare.

Objective:To reevaluate the upper limit of normal (ULN) of serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT) by retrospectively analyzing the ALT levels in healthy people in Ningbo area.Methods:A total of 56 140 people who underwent health examination and detection of liver biochemical indexes in the Affiliated Hospital of Medical School of Ningbo University and Yinzhou Huamao Hospital of Ningbo from 2018 to 2020 were enrolled. After excluding relevant factors that may lead to liver injury, 11 411 people were included to compare the difference of serum ALT levels among different genders and age groups (20 to 29 years, 30 to 39 years, 40 to 49 years and 50 to 59 years) to determine the ALT ULN in different gender groups. Statistical methods were performed using two independent samples t test and analysis of variance. Results:The serum ALT of males was (19.20±7.90) U/L, which was higher than that of females ((13.75±6.17) U/L), with statistical significance ( t=41.16, P<0.001). The serum ALT ULN in males and in females were 35 U/L and 26 U/L, respectively. The serum ALT levels of 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49 and 50 to 59 years old groups were (15.48±7.61) U/L, (16.21±7.40) U/L, (17.36±7.52) U/L and (18.77±7.57) U/L, respectively.The difference was statistically significant ( F=71.51, P<0.001). Serum ALT level in 50 to 59 years old group was higher than that in 20 to 29 years old group, and the difference was statistically significant ( t=13.11, P<0.01). In males, the ALT ULN of 20 to 29 years old was the lowest of 34.43 U/L, and highest of 35.29 U/L in 40 to 49 years old. In females, the ALT ULN in the 20 to 29 years old group was the lowest of 23.01 U/L, and the ALT ULN in the 50 to 59 years old group was the highest of 30.79 U/L. ALT ULN increased with age in females. The serum ALT of males was higher than that of females in all age groups ( t=29.55, 26.91, 13.43 and 4.62, respectively, all P<0.05). Conclusions:The serum ALT level is significantly correlated to gender and age. The serum ALT ULNs of healthy adult are 35 U/L in males and 26 U/L in females in Ningbo area.

Background Flurochloridone (FLC) is toxic to male reproduction and can induce apoptosis of testicular tissue and supporting cells under oxidative stress. Of particular concern is whether nuclear factor-erythrocyte 2-related factor 2/heme oxygenase-1 (Nrf2/HO-1) signaling pathway and nuclear factor kappa B (NFκB) signaling pathway participate this process. Objective To observe apoptosis of testicular tissue and sertoli TM4 cells and alterations of Nrf2/HO-1 and NFκB signaling pathways in mice treated with FLC in vivo/in vitro. Methods (1) Animal experiment. Testis samples were harvested from male C57BL/6 mice after 28-day FLC (0, 3, 15, 75, and 375 mg·kg⁻¹ per day) exposure via oral route. Malondialdehyde (MDA) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) in homogenate of testicular tissue were measured by colorimetry. Apoptosis of testicular tissue was evaluated by TUNEL staining. Expression and distribution of Nrf2 and NFκB were detected by immunohistochemistry. Protein expression levels of Nrf2, HO-1, NAD(P)H: quinone oxidoreductase 1 (NQO1), NFκB, inhibitor of nuclear factor kappa-B kinase subunit beta (IKKβ), and phosphorylated recombinant inhibitory subunit of nuclear factor kappa-B alpha (P-IκBα) in testicular tissue homogenate were determined by Western blotting. (2) Cell experiment. TM4 cell lines were treated with 40, 80, 120, 160, and 200 μmol·L⁻¹ FLC for 6 h, and cell viability was detected by CCK-8. After 6 h exposure to 40, 80, and 160 μmol·L⁻¹ FLC, the apoptosis rate was detected by flow cytometry, and the protein expression levels of Nrf2, HO-1, NQO1, NFκB, IKKβ, and IκBα were detected by Western blotting. Results (1) Animal experiment. Apoptosis occurred in the interstitial and basal parts of spermatogenic tubules in male C57BL/6 mice after 28 days of oral FLC exposure. Compared with the control group, the MDA level in testicular tissue of the 375 mg·kg⁻¹ FLC-treated group was significantly increased (P<0.05), and the SOD activity was significantly decreased (P<0.05). After 375 mg·kg⁻¹ FLC exposure, apoptosis occurred in the interstitial and basal parts of spermatogenic tubules. The results of immunohistochemistry showed the expression of Nrf2 and NFκB in the interstitium and basal part of spermatogenic tubules of the treated groups. Compared with the control group, the protein levels of Nrf2, NQO1, P-IκBα, NFκB, and IKKβ in the 15, 75, and 375 mg·kg^-1 groups were significantly increased (P<0.001), and the HO-1 protein level was significantly increased in the 375 mg·kg⁻¹ group (P<0.001). (2) Cell experiment. Compared with the control group, the TM4 cell viabilities in the 40, 80, 120, 160, and 200 μmol·L⁻¹ FLC-treated groups significantly decreased (P<0.01). The apoptosis rates were significantly increased (P<0.05), and the apoptosis rates increased from 5.7% in the control group to 7.4%, 9.4%, and 11.7% in the 40, 80, and 160 μmol·L⁻¹, respectively. The Nrf2 protein level in the 40 μmol·L⁻¹ group was significantly increased (P<0.01), while the levels significantly decreased in the 80 and 160 μmol·L⁻¹ groups (P<0.01). The HO-1 protein levels in the 40, 80, and 160 μmol·L⁻¹ groups were significantly increased (P<0.01). The level of NQO1 protein in the 40 μmol·L⁻¹ group was significantly increased (P<0.01). The NFκB protein levels were significantly increased in the 80 and 160 μmol·L⁻¹ groups (P<0.001). The IκBα protein levels were significantly decreased in all treated groups (P<0.001). The IKKβ protein had no significant change. Conclusion FLC induces testicular tissue apoptosis, and the process affects Nrf2/HO-1 signaling pathway and NFκB signaling pathway. The in vitro study confirms that FLC could induce apoptosis of TM4 cells and activate Nrf2/HO-1 and NFκB signaling pathways.

Objective To explore the prediction effect of SMOTE_ENN mixed sampling combined with AdaBoost algorithm in unbalanced clinical data classification model.Methods Grid search was used and different sampling ratios were set.Combined with real data,four mixed sampling methods of ROS_RUS,SMOTE_RUS,SMOTE_Tomek and SMOTE_ENN were applied to build models based on DT,SVM and AdaBoost classification algorithms,respectively,and their performances were compared.Selecting Recall,F1 value,AUC three evaluation indicators,50%discount cross-validation repeated three times to take the average.Another two UCI data sets are selected to validate the model externally.Results Among the 12 classification models,the performance of SMOTE_ENN mixed sampling combined with AdaBoost was the best,the values of Recall,F1 and AUC were 0.747,0.751 and 0.776 respectively,and the best sampling rate was 50%SMOTE oversampling combined with 70%ENN undersampling.Conclusion SMOTE_ENN mixed sampling combined with AdaBoost model can effectively improve the clinical outcome prediction efficiency of unbalanced data of HT patients,and the best proportional sampling can effectively solve the problem that there is no clear sampling rate in previous resampling.After further verification of the open UCI data set,the model can be popularized and applied.

The number of new cases of oropharyngeal cancer is increasing year by year among the world, and HPV infection is one of the risk factors for this malignant tumor. Compared with HPV-negative oropharyngeal cancer, HPV-positive patients are more sensitive to radiotherapy and have a better prognosis, but there is no accepted treatment for HPV-positive patients. Reducing treatment intensity moderately and exploring the best option to minimize side effects of treatment are urgent issues to be addressed. This article reviews the research progress on the treatment improvement of HPV-associated oropharyngeal cancer in recent years.

Background Flurochloridone (FLC) can induce apoptosis in Sertoli cells, but the specific mechanism remains unknown. Objective To investigate the testicular cell apoptosis in mice as well as apoptosis and activation of endoplasmic reticulum stress in TM4 cell line induced by FLC through in vivo and in vitro study designs respectively, and study the role of inosital-requiring enzyme 1α (IRE1α)-c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) signaling pathway in the process of FLC-induced apoptosis in TM4 cells through intervention study design. Methods Testicular tissues were collected from male C57BL/6 mice which were treated with 3, 15, 75, and 375 mg·（kg·d）⁻¹ FLC by oral perfusion for 28 d. Apoptosis was observed by TUNEL staining, and the levels of apoptosis-related proteins were detected by Western blotting, including B-cell lymphoma-2 (Bcl-2), Bcl-2 interacting mediator of cell death (Bim), and Bcl-2 associated X protein (Bax). In the in vitro study, TM4 cells were treated with different concentrations of FLC (40, 80, and 160 μmol·L⁻¹) for 6 h, then apoptosis rate was detected by flow cytometry, and the levels of apoptosis-related proteins (Bcl-2, Bim, and Bax) and endoplasmic reticulum stress-related proteins [glucose regulated protein 78 (GRP78), phosphorylated-protein kinase R like endoplasmic reticulum kinase (p-PERK), activating transcription factor 6 (ATF6), phosphorylated-inosital-requiring enzyme 1α (p-IRE1α), and phosphorylated-JNK (p-JNK)] were measured by Western blotting. In the intervention study, TM4 cells were pretreated with IRE1α phosphorylation inhibitor 4μ8C and JNK phosphorylation inhibitor SP600125 for 6 h, then treated with 160 μmol·L⁻¹ FLC for 6 h. The levels of apoptosis-related proteins and endoplasmic reticulum stress-related proteins were measured by Western blotting, and cell viability was detected by cell counting kit-8. Results After the male C57BL/6 mice orally exposed to FLC for 28 d, apoptosis occurred in the seminiferous tubule. The protein expression level of Bcl-2, apoptosis inhibitor, was decreased in the 75 and 375 mg·(kg·d)⁻¹ groups (P<0.05), and the protein expression levels of Bim and Bax, apoptosis promoters, were increased in the 75 and 375 mg·(kg·d)⁻¹ groups respectively (P<0.05). The percentages of apoptotic cells in the 0, 40, 80, and 160 μmol·L⁻¹ FLC groups were 2.7%±0.2%, 4.8%±1.3%, 9.4%±0.3%, and 13.2%±0.2%, respectively, increased significantly compared with the control group (P<0.05). The protein expression level of Bcl-2 also was decreased in the 160 μmol·L⁻¹ FLC group (P<0.05), while the levels of Bim and Bax were increased in both of the 80 and 160 μmol·L⁻¹ groups (P<0.05). The expression levels of endoplasmic reticulum stress-related proteins (GRP78, p-PERK, ATF6, p-IRE1α, and p-JNK) were increased (P<0.05) or showed a rising trend in TM4 cells. Pre-treatment with 4μ8C (25 and 50 μmol·L⁻¹) and SP600125 (10 and 20 μmol·L⁻¹) significantly down-regulated the protein expression levels of GRP78, p-IRE1α, p-JNK, and Bax induced by FLC (P<0.05) or in a downward trend. Both of the inhibitors alleviated the decreased cell viability induced by FLC (P<0.05) or in alleviating fashion. Conclusion FLC could induce apoptosis in mice testis and TM4 cell apoptosis through activating endoplasmic reticulum stress and IRE1α-JNK signaling pathway.
