Objective: To explore human papillomavirus (HPV) and vaccination related knowledge and vaccination willingness of college students in Guizhou Province and their related factors, so as to provide a basis for formulating targeted intervention strategies. Methods: From May to June 2025, by applying convenience sampling method,4 567 college students were selected from 8 universities in Guizhou Province to conduct a questionnaire survey. Awareness of HPV and vaccination related knowledge, vaccination willingness as well as related factors among college students were also analyzed. The t test and Chi square test were used for comparison between groups, and multifactor Logistic regression was employed to analyze the related factors of HPV vaccination willingness among college students. Results: The HPV and vaccine knowledge score of college students in Guizhou Province was ( 10.50 ±2.09), and the score of girls (10.81±1.82) was higher than that of boys (10.19±2.30) ( t=10.09, P <0.01). The HPV vaccination willingness rate of college students was 65.6%, and the rate was higher in girls than in boys (67.1%,64.1%, χ 2=4.75, P <0.05). Multi factor Logistic regression analysis showed that ethnicity and HPV testing were related factors that affected college students willingness to vaccinate (minority: OR boy =1.23, OR girl =1.35; previous HPV testing: OR boy =0.56, OR girl =0.59); boys willingness to vaccinate was related to the number of sexual partners ( OR =0.60), family history of cancer ( OR =0.65), and sexual behavior related HPV knowledge scores ( OR =0.89), while girls willingness to vaccinate was related to bisexual sexual orientation ( OR =0.59), previous HIV testing ( OR =0.60), and HPV and vaccine basic knowledge scores ( OR =0.86) (all P <0.05). Conclusions College students in Guizhou Province have higher HPV vaccine related knowledge scores and are more willing to vaccinate, and those above are higher in girls than in boys. Health education content should be optimized based on gender differences, and promote the willingness and behavior of HPV vaccination among college students.

With the rapid advancement of vaccines, the research and application of vaccine adjuvants have garnered significant attention. Despite the development of numerous vaccine adjuvants, their applications in human vaccines remain limited due to either insufficient efficacy or severe side effects. Consequently, there is growing interest in developing bioactive compounds derived from traditional Chinese medicines (TCMs) as vaccine adjuvants, owing to their natural biocompatibility, diversity, and safety. Here, we systematically review the current application status and potential value of TCM-based bioactive compounds in vaccine adjuvants. Firstly, we elaborate on the types and characteristics of active ingredients, such as polysaccharides, saponins, flavonoids, acids, and alkaloids. The mechanisms by which these compounds function as vaccine adjuvants are then discussed, including their roles in enhancing humoral immunity, cellular immunity, and relieving the immune suppression in the microenvironment. Additionally, we summarize the current strategies for structural modification and platform optimization to adapt to different application scenarios. Finally, we offer insights into the future development directions for these potential adjuvants, highlighting research priorities, technical approaches, and application prospects. In conclusion, natural vaccine adjuvants derived from TCMs present broad application prospects and hold promise for future vaccine development.

This study comprehensively summarized and sorted out the existing Chinese and English names of congenital auricular malformations, providing reference basis for the scientific classification and clinical treatment of congenital auricular malformations. Sixty-seven papers on the topic of congenital auricle malformations were collected from databases such as CNKI, Wanfang Database, VIP Database, PubMed, Web of Science, and ScienceDirect by using the PRISMA method. The two core issues of morphological and anatomical naming and classification of congenital auricle malformations were sorted and summarized based on these articles. In this study, the existing Chinese and English names of congenital auricular malformations were summarized, and a preliminary classification was made at the morphological and anatomical levels, and the embryological origin of the external auricle and its substructures was elaborated. Based on the result of this study, a comprehensive analysis can be conducted on the malformations of the ear structures and their embryological origins in order to explore the etiology of congenital ear malformations. It is expected that scientific and standardized naming and classification method can be developed, and reasonable and effective standardized treatment can be formulated for congenital auricular malformations based on this study.

Objective To identify possible associated genetic variants and characterise the clinical presentation of isolated ectopia lentis (IEL).Methods Forty-eight members with 5 generations of an IEL family were enrolled in this study.Peripheral blood samples of all members were collected, and clinical manifestations were observed through physical examination and routine ophthalmological examination.Whole-exome sequencing (WES) was per-formed for two patients to identify disease-causing variants.The target variants were verified by Sanger sequencing in family members and 200 normal controls.Then, candidate variants were verified using Sanger sequencing in family members and 200 healthy controls.SIFT, PolyPhen and MutationTester were used to predict the protein function.Results A total of 13 IEL patients in this family which inherited in an autosomal dominant pattern.The mean age at disease onset was 51.5 years.The main clinical phenotype of this ICE was characterised by ectopia lentis which anterior inclinated to the anterior chamber.As the anterior chamber became shallow, and the angle of the chamber became narrow, and eventually resulted in the secondary glaucoma.A heterozygous missense variant in the fibrillin gene-1 (FBN1) gene (c.3463G>A) was identified by WES, which was present in all patients but was absent in 200 healthy controls.SIFT, PolyPhen and MutationTester predicted that the variant affected protein function.Conclusion This IEL family is characterized by secondary glaucoma as the first symptom which is caused by ectopia lens with inclination.The c.3463G>A of FBN1 gene may be the pathogenic mutation leading to IEL in this family.
