Objective: To explore the prevalence of screening myopia and depressive symptom among primary and secondary school students in Xuzhou, and to explore the association of sleep and screen time on the coexistence of screening myopia and depressive symptom, so as to provide scientific references for developing intervention strategies to address the development of myopia and promote mental health in children and adolescents. Methods: From September to October 2024, a stratified cluster random sampling method was used to select 6 605 students in grade 4 to 12 in 2 urban and 2 suburban districts in Xuzhou. The students health condition and influencing factors questionnaire were used to assess students basic information, sleep time, and screen time. The Center for Epidemiological Studies Depression Scale (CES-D) was used to assess primary and secondary school students depressive symptom.Unaided distance visual acuity examination was conducted, and refractive assessment was performed using an automated refractometer without cycloplegic agents. The Chi-square test and multiple Logistic regression analysis were used to evaluate the association of sleep and screen time with the coexistence of screening myopia and depressive symptom. Results: The detection rates of screening myopia, depressive symptom, and screening myopia and depressive symptoms co morbidity among primary and secondary school students in Xuzhou were 60.35%, 4.45% and 18.61% respectively. Results from the multinomial Logistic regression analysis, using the healthy group as the reference and after adjusting for confounding factors, showed that students with insufficient sleep duration were more likely to have depressive symptom ( OR=1.57, 95%CI =1.08-2.27) and the coexistence of screening myopia and depressive symptom ( OR=1.85, 95%CI =1.45-2.36). Students with daily screen time≥2 h were more likely to have depressive symptom only ( OR=1.41, 95%CI =1.04-1.93) and the coexistence of screening myopia and depressive symptom ( OR=1.31, 95%CI =1.06-1.61). Further stratified analysis based on sufficient and insufficient sleep duration revealed that only in the insufficient sleep duration group, students with daily screen time≥2 h had an increased risk of depressive symptom only ( OR=1.49, 95%CI =1.07-2.07) and the coexistence of screening positive myopia and depressive symptom ( OR=1.40, 95%CI =1.11- 1.77 ) (all P <0.05). Conclusions Primary and secondary school students with insufficient sleep duration and daily screen time≥2 h have higher risks of depressive symptoms and the coexistence of screening myopia and depressive symptoms. It is recommended to ensure adequate sleep duration and limit screen time for children and adolescents.

Objective: To describe the association of different sleep characteristics and cardiometabolic risk among college students, so as to provide reference for health promotion of college students. Methods: By random cluster sampling method, a questionnaire survey and physical examination including blood pressure, waist circumference and blood lipid indicators, which were conducted in April and May of 2019 among a total of 1 179 college students from the first grade in two universities in Hefei City of Anhui Province and Shangrao City of Jiangxi Province. A total of 729 college students with valid questionnaires were included into analysis. The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) and Insomnia Severity Index (ISI) were used to investigate sleep behavior, and the Morning And Evening Questionnaire-5 (MEQ-5) was used to investigate sleep characteristics. The cardiometabolic risk score was derived using the sum of the standardized sex specific Z scores of waist circumference, mean arterial pressure, HDL cholesterol (multiplied by -1), triglycerides, and insulin resistance index. The rank sum tests were used to compare differences in cardiometabolic risk scores across demographic characteristics. Generalized linear models were used to compare the association of different sleep characteristics with cardiometabolic risk scores among college students. Results: The average cardiovascular metabolic risk score of college students was -0.32(-2.03, 1.58). There were statistically significant differences in cardiovascular metabolic risk scores among college students in variables such as smoking, health status, and physical activity levels ( t/F=-3.41, 12.88, 51.07, P <0.01). The results of the generalized linear model showed that nighttime preference ( B=1.89, 95%CI =1.02-3.49), insomnia symptoms ( B=3.25, 95%CI =1.79-5.90), and short or long sleep duration ( B=1.92, 95%CI =1.21-3.05) were positively correlated with the cardiovascular metabolic risk score of college students ( P <0.05). Conclusions Poor sleep patterns among college students are positively correlated with the risk of cardiovascular metabolism. The sleep behavior of college students should be actively changed to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease.

【Objective】 To analyze the measurement of body mass index (BMI) and body fat percentage in girls aged 6 to 8 years, in order to provide a scientific basis for the prevention and treatment of childhood obesity. 【Methods】 The medical examination data of 968 girls with bone age of 6 - 8 years who underwent obesity screening in General Hospital of Northern Quarter Command from January 2022 to July 2022 were retrospectively analyzed. BMI, body fat percentage, nutritional indicators, and obesity rate of girls with bone age of 6 - 8 years were analyzed.Multivariate Logistic regression analysis was used to identify the risk factors for obesity in girls with bone age of 6 - 8 years old. 【Results】 BMI, body fat percentage and visceral fat grade of girls aged 6 - 8 years followed an increasing trend with age: 6 years old < 7 years old < 8 years old (F=10.196, 68.327, 66.584, P<0.001). The average BMI of girls aged 6 - 8 years and the average body fat percentage of girls aged 7 - 8 years old were higher than the normal range. Additionally, the average value of 25-hydroxy vitamin D[25-(OH)D] in girls aged 6 - 8 years was lower than the normal range. The overweight rates of girls aged 6,7 and 8 years were 19.50%, 18.21%, and 15.95%, respectively, and the obesity rates were 9.75%, 12.35%, and 15.95%, respectively. Furthermore, the Logistic multivariate regression analysis revealed that birth weight ≥ 4.0kg (OR=1.962,95%CI: 1.292 - 2.979), eating frequency of high-fat and high-calorie > 3times/week (OR=1.432, 95%CI: 1.172 - 1.749),frequency of sweet food >3times/week (OR=2.670, 95%CI:1.170 - 6.093), eating speed < 15min/meal (OR=1.366, 95%CI:1.108 - 1.685), outdoor activity frequency <30min/day (OR=2.083, 95%CI:1.162 - 3.736), and parents lack of knowledge or with limited understanding of nutrition (OR=1.721, 95%CI:1.129 - 2.623) were independent risk factors for obesity in girls aged 6 - 8 years old (P<0.05). 【Conclusion】 The obesity rate of girls with bone age of 6 - 8 years old is high and should be addressed through a scientific diet, reasonable exercise, and educating parents to improve their knowledge of nutrition.

Objective To explore the related factors for the unilateral flap and bilateral flap by changing the origi-nal operation plan in the extraction of maxillary impacted mesiodens.Methods 81 patients with impacted mesio-dens in the middle of the maxillary were retrospectively analyzed.The primary outcome variables were planned sur-gery (unilateral flap) and unplanned surgery (bilateral flap) .The secondary outcome variables consisted of opera-tion time and postoperative swelling.The predictive variables were as follows:the differential value of the shortest distance from the supernumerary tooth to the labial and palatal bone plates, which was divided into≥1.5 mm group and<1.5 mm group; the ratio of the distance from the adjacent tooth apex to the nasal floor, compared to the length of the supernumerary teeth, was recorded as≥1 and< 1.A statistical software SPSS 20 was used to com-plete the statistical analysis.Results When the differential value was less than 1.5 mm, the possibility of un-planned surgery increased, and the probability of planned surgery was 0.085 times than that of unplanned surgery.With age growing each 1-year, the probability of planned surgery gradually decreased, HR=0.745.The postopera-tive swelling of the palatal approach was only 0.374 times than that of the labial approach.With age increasing, the operation time increased gradually, B=1.213.The ratio of the distance from the adjacent tooth apex to the na-sal floor to the length of the supernumerary teeth did not affect the change of the surgical plan during the operation.Conclusion The shortest distance difference between the supernumerary teeth and the labial and palatal bone plates can be used as a reference for the selection of surgical approach for the extraction of maxillary impacted me-siodens.

Objective:To analyze the effect of recombinant human thrombopoietin(rhTPO)on platelet(PLT)reconstitution after autologous peripheral blood stem cell transplantation(APBSCT)in patients with multiple myeloma(MM).Methods:The clinical data of 147 MM patients who were diagnosed in the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University and received APBSCT as the first-line therapy were retrospectively analyzed.According to whether rhTPO was used during APBSCT,the patients were divided into rhTPO group(80 cases)and control group(67 cases).The time of PLT engraftment,blood product infusion requirements,the proportion of patients with PLT recovery to ≥ 50 × 109/L and ≥ 100 × 109/L at+14 days and+100 days after transplantation,and adverse reactions including the incidence of bleeding were compared between the two groups.Results:There were no significant differences between the two groups in sex,age,M protein type,PLT count at the initial diagnosis,median duration of induction therapy before APBSCT,and number of CD34+cells reinfused(all P＞0.05).The median time of PLT engraftment in the rhTPO group was 10(6-14)days,which was shorter than 11(8-23)days in the control group(P＜0.001).The median PLT transfusion requirement in the rhTPO group during APBSCT was 15(0-50)U,which was less than 20(0-80)U in the control group(P=0.001).At+14 days after transplantation,the proportions of patients with PLT 2 50 × 109/L in the rhTPO group and the control group were 66.3％and 52.2％,while the proportions of patients with PLT ≥ 100 × 109/L were 23.8％and 11.9％,respectively,with no significant differences(all P＞0.05).At+100 days after transplantation,the proportion of patients with PLT ≥ 50 × 109/L in rhTPO group and control group was 96.3％and 89.6％,respectively(P＞0.05),but the proportion of patients with PLT ≥ 100 × 109/L in rhTPO group was higher than that in control group(75.0％vs 55.2％,P=0.012).There was no difference in the overall incidence of bleeding events in different locations during period of low PLT level of patients between the two groups.In rhTPO group,the rhTPO administration was well tolerated,and the incidences of abnormal liver and kidney function and infection were similar to those in the control group.Conclusion:When MM patients undergo first-line APBSCT,subcutaneous injection of rhTPO can shorten the time of platelet engraftment,reduce the transfusion volume of blood products,and be well tolerated,moreover,more patients have achieve a high level of PLT recovery after transplantation,which is very important for ensuring the safety of APBSCT and maintenance therapy.

Objective: The study aimed to describe the prevalence of mobile phone use and depressive symptoms and to examine the bidirectional associations between the two among college students, providinb evidence for mental health promotion among college students. Methods: A longitudinal study with follow up at 6 month intervals was conducted in 1 135 students from 2 universities in Hefei, Anhui Province and Shangrao, Jiangxi Province who were selected between April and May 2019. The last follow up was conducted between April and May 2021 based on questionnaire survey, and 999 valid participants were obtained after matching. The self designed questionnaire was used to investigate the duration of cellular phone use and use of cellular phone functions among college students. The Self rating Questionnaire for Adolescent Problematic Mobile Phone Use (SQAPMPU) and the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) were used to assess cellular phone dependence and depressive symptoms among college students. Pearson correlation analysis was used to examine the correlation between cellular phone use behavior and depressive symptoms at baseline and 2 years later; linear regression model was used to analyze the linear association between cellular phone use behavior and depressive symptoms scores; autoregressive cross lagged model was used to analyze the bidirectional associations between cellular phone use behaviors and depressive symptoms among college students over time. Results: The prevalence of mobile phone dependence and depressive symptoms among college students at baseline were 24.3% and 42.4%, respectively. The mean duration of mobile phone use among college students at baseline and the 2 year follow up were (2.84±0.90)h/d and (2.02±1.05)h/d, respectively; the mean scores of mobile phone dependence were (23.30±9.00) and (23.29±10.45), respectively; the mean scores of mobile phone function use were (30.12±6.66) and (29.12±7.27), respectively; and the mean scores of depressive symptoms were (4.51±4.76) and (2.61±4.40), respectively. Pearson correlation analysis showed there were significant positive correlations between duration of cellular phone use, cellular phone dependence, use of cellular phone functions at baseline or 2 years later and depressive symptoms 2 years later( r =0.08-0.50, P <0.05). Linear regression models showed a significant positive association between cellular phone dependence at baseline and depressive symptoms ( β=0.26, 95%CI =0.23-0.29) at baseline and 2 years later ( β=0.12, 95%CI =0.09-0.15). Autoregressive cross lagged models showed that cellular phone dependence at baseline positively predicted depressive symptoms 2 years later ( β =0.04) and depressive symptoms at baseline positively predicted cellular phone dependence 2 years later( β =0.23)( P <0.05). Conclusion There was a bidirectional association between cellular phone dependence and depressive symptoms among college students. Reducing cellular phone dependence is of positive significance for improving college students mental health.

Galactinol synthase (GolS) genes play important roles in plant response to abiotic stress. In this research, the plant expression vector of soybean GmGolS2-2 gene was constructed and transformed into tobacco to study the drought tolerance of transgenic tobacco. A GmGolS2-2 gene with 975 bp coding sequence was cloned from soybean leaves by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). GmGolS2-2 was linked to the plant expression vector pRI101 by restriction enzyme sites Nde Ⅰ and EcoR Ⅰ, and transformed into tobacco by leaf disc method. Genomic DNA PCR and real-time PCR showed that three GmGolS2-2 transgenic tobacco plants were obtained. The growth status of GmGolS2-2 transgenic tobacco under drought stress was better than that of wild-type tobacco. After drought stress treatment, the electrolyte leakage and malondialdehyde content of transgenic tobacco were lower than those of wild-type tobacco, but the proline content and soluble sugar content were higher than those of wild-type tobacco. The results of real-time PCR showed that the heterologous expression of GmGolS2-2 increased the expression of stress-related genes NtERD10C and NtAQP1 in transgenic tobacco. The above results indicated that GmGolS2-2 improved drought resistance of transgenic tobacco.

Objective: To describe the prevalence and association of sleep quality and anxiety-depression co-morbid symptoms among nursing students, in order to provide a reference basis for promoting the development of nursing students mental health. Methods: Using a prospective study design, baseline survey was conducted in January 2019 among a random cluster sample of 1 716 individuals in three medical universities in Hefei, Anhui Province, and a follow-up survey was conducted in October 2019, with a valid number of 1 573 individuals after matching with the baseline survey. The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) was used to assess nursing students sleep quality, and the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS-21) to assess the anxiety-depression comorbid symptoms. Results: The detection rates of anxiety-depression co-morbidities among nursing students at baseline and follow-up survey were 16.9% and 18.2%, respectively, and the detection rates of poor sleep quality among nursing students at baseline and follow-up survey were 10.1% and 10.3%, respectively. The results of the binary Logistic regression model showed that baseline PSQI score were positively associated with the risk of anxiety-depression co-morbid symptoms among nursing students at baseline ( OR=1.49, 95%CI =1.40-1.59) and after nine months of follow-up ( OR=1.22, 95%CI =1.16-1.28). Furthermore, the influence of baseline sleep quality on the risk of anxiety-depression co-morbid symptoms were mainly concentrated in the five dimensions of sleep time, sleep efficiency, sleep disorders, hypnotic drugs and daytime dysfunction, and such effects of sleep time, sleep disorders and daytime dysfunction still existed in the follow-up investigation. Conclusion Poor sleep quality of nursing students can increase the risk of anxiety-depression co-morbidities. Improving sleep quality of nursing students has a positive effect on improving their mental health.

Objective: To explore the stem cell collection rate and efficacy and safety of patients aged 70 and below with newly diagnosed multiple myeloma (MM) treated with the VRD (bortezomib, lenalidomide and dexamethasone) regimen followed by autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT). Methods: Retrospective case series study. The clinical data of 123 patients with newly diagnosed MM from August 1, 2018, to June 30, 2020, at the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University and Suzhou Hopes Hematology Hospital, who were eligible for VRD regimen sequential ASCT, were collected. The clinical characteristics, efficacy after induction therapy, mobilization regimen of autologous stem cells, autologous stem cell collection rate, and side effects and efficacy of ASCT were retrospectively analyzed. Results: Of the 123 patients, 67 were males. The median patient age was 56 (range: 31-70) years. Patients with IgG, IgA, IgD, and light-chain types accounted for 47.2% (58/123), 23.6% (29/123), 3.2% (4/123), and 26.0% (32/123) of patients, respectively. In addition, 25.2% (31/123) of patients had renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance rate<40 ml/min). Patients with Revised-International Staging System (R-ISS) Ⅲ accounted for 18.2% (22/121) of patients. After induction therapy, the rates of partial response and above, very-good partial response (VGPR) and above, and complete response (CR)+stringent CR were 82.1% (101/123), 75.6% (93/123), and 45.5% (56/123), respectively. Overall, 90.3% (84/93) of patients were mobilized with cyclophosphamide+granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) and 8 patients with G-CSF or G-CSF+plerixafor due to creatinine clearance rate<30 ml/min and one of them was mobilized with DECP (cisplatin, etoposide, cyclophosphamide and dexamethasone)+G-CSF for progressive disease. The rate of autologous stem cell collection (CD34⁺cells≥2×10⁶/kg) after four courses of VRD regimen was 89.1% (82/92), and the rate of collection (CD34⁺cells≥5×10⁶/kg) was 56.5% (52/92). Seventy-seven patients treated with the VRD regimen sequential ASCT. All patients had grade 4 neutropenia and thrombocytopenia. Among the nonhematologic adverse events during ASCT, the highest incidence was observed for gastrointestinal reactions (76.6%, 59/77), followed by oral mucositis (46.8%, 36/77), elevated aminotransferases (44.2%, 34/77), fever (37.7%, 29/77), infection (16.9%, 13/77) and heart-related adverse events (11.7%, 9/77). Among the adverse events, grade 3 adverse events included nausea (6.5%, 5/77), oral mucositis (5.2%, 4/77), vomiting (3.9%, 3/77), infection (2.6%, 2/77), elevated blood pressure after infusion (2.6%, 2/77), elevated alanine transaminase (1.3%, 1/77), and perianal mucositis (1.3%, 1/77); there were no grade 4 or above nonhematologic adverse events. The proportion of patients who achieved VGPR and above after VRD sequential ASCT was 100% (75/75), and the proportion of patients who were minimal residual disease-negative (<10^-4 level) was 82.7% (62/75). Conclusion: In patients aged 70 and below with newly diagnosed MM treated with VRD induction therapy, the collection rate of autologous stem cells was good, and good efficacy and tolerability were noted after follow-up ASCT.
