Objective:
To examine differences in depressive and anxiety symptoms between boarding and non boarding high school students and their associations with physical activity (PA) patterns, so as to provide evidence to inform adolescent mental health promotion.
Methods:
From October to December 2024, a convenience sample of 11 782 students aged 15-18 years was recruited from 36 schools in Nanchang, Ganzhou, and Shangrao of Jiangxi Province. Depressive and anxiety symptoms and PA were assessed using the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7), and International Physical Activity Questionary Short Form (IPAQ-SF). Logistic regression model was used to examine associations between PA patterns, depressive and anxiety symptoms among boarding and non boarding students.
Results:
The detection rates of depressive symptoms were 45.7% and 46.4% among boarding and non boarding students, respectively; for anxiety symptoms, the corresponding rates were 43.0% and 46.7%. Boarding and non boarding students differed significantly in smoking status, screen time, sleep duration, sedentary time, daily vegetable intake, and napping ( χ 2=16.74-664.17, all P <0.01). Across PA pattern groups, the detection rates of depressive and anxiety symptoms differed significantly between boarding and non boarding students ( χ 2 depression = 23.85 , χ 2 anxiety = 22.78, both P <0.01). Adjusted for confounding factors, Logistic regression analysis of high school students showed that compared with the not meeting PA recommendations, both the concentrated and regular PA pattern were associated with lower odds of depressive symptoms [ OR (95% CI )=0.83(0.70-0.98), 0.90(0.83-0.98)]; and the concentrated pattern was also associated with lower odds of anxiety symptoms [ OR (95% CI )=0.78(0.65-0.92)], and the association of anxiety symptoms in concentrated boarding students was consistent with that of the overall group [ OR (95% CI )=0.71(0.52-0.98)] (all P <0.05).
Conclusions
There is a correlation of different physical activity patterns with depressive and anxiety symptoms among boarding and non boarding high school students. Schools should ensure students engage in regular physical activity and work to increase overall activity volume.

Three soil conditioners were prepared from granulated food waste and decomposed cattle manure combined with desulfurization gypsum, coal gangue, and maifanite, respectively. Field trials were conducted in the saline field growing Cabernet Sauvignon. The effects of soil conditioners on rhizospheric bacterial communities were studied, with the aim of providing a scientific basis for soil amelioration and restoration. Five treatments were designed, including the control (T1), conventional fertilization (T2), reduced chemical fertilization+organic matter-based soil conditioner with calcium additives (T3), reduced chemical fertilization+organic matter-based soil conditioner with silica additives (T4), and reduced chemical fertilization+organic matter-based soil conditioner with magnesium additives (T5), each with three replications. The results indicated that soil conditioners improved the rhizospheric nutrients, yield, and quality of grape (P<0.05), increased relative abundance of Proteobacteria by 17.32%-23.37%, decreased relative abundance of unidentified_Bacteria and Acidobacteriota by 4.22%-28.42% and 20.88%-35.81%, respectively. The bacterial community composition and diversity were different between treatments. Function analysis showed that the expression levels of the genes involved in chromosome and protein synthesis, mRNA biosynthesis, and glyoxylate and dicarboxylate metabolism were up-regulated in the treatments with soil conditioners. The correlation analysis revealed that multiple environmental factors affected the alpha diversity of rhizospheric bacterial communities, and some bacterial taxa were closely related to the grape yield and quality. It is concluded that soil conditioners can effectively alter rhizosphere nutrient levels and bacterial community structures and functions. T5 treatment outperforms other treatments in improving the physico-chemical and biological characteristics of rhizosphere, and the yield, and quality of grape. It has potential for application, and provides an important basis for development of new-type soil conditioners.

Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2024;28(9):1464-1469
BACKGROUND:Dexmedetomidine has the effect of anti-ischemia-reperfusion injury, but the comprehensive and systematic review of its signaling pathway is less. OBJECTIVE:To focus on the review of dexmedetomidine's signaling pathway in the mechanisms of antioxidant stress, inhibition of inflammation,anti-apoptosis,autophagy,and so on. METHODS:The relevant articles on PubMed,CNKI,WanFang, and VIP databases were searched by computer with the key words"ischemia-reperfusion inquiry;dexmedetomidine;signal path;oxidative stress;inflammation;apoptosis"in Chinese and English. After excluding repetitive research and some basic articles with low correlation,57 articles were finally included for review. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1)Dexmedetomidine plays an important role in organ protection through many mechanisms, such as anti-oxidative stress injury,anti-inflammation,anti-apoptosis and autophagy. This involves many pathways, including Nrf2 and its downstream protein antioxidant stress pathway,Toll-like receptor 4 family and nuclear factor-κB-related anti-inflammatory pathway,JAK2/STAT3-related anti-inflammatory pathway, and cholinergic anti-inflammatory pathway, and the cholinergic pathway is the upstream mechanism of many nuclear factor-κB signaling pathways.(2)PI3K/Akt pathway plays different roles according to its activated downstream signals, inhibiting the activation of NLRP3 inflammatory body, activating signal molecules endothelial nitric oxide synthase, mammalian target of rapamycin, and hypoxia-inducible factor 1α to play an anti-inflammatory role, and activate Bad or Bax residues to play an anti-apoptotic role, and PI3K/Akt activates glycogen synthetase kinase-3β.It can also play an anti-inflammatory and anti-apoptotic role.(3)Dexmedetomidine activates SIRT3 to mediate anti-apoptosis and inhibit endoplasmic reticulum stress to produce anti-apoptosis.(4)The detailed review of the anti-ischemia-reperfusion injury signaling pathway of dexmedetomidine can provide a basis for future mechanism research and diagnosis and treatment decisions.

Chinese Critical Care Medicine 2024;36(11):1213-1215
Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) is a leading cause of high mortality in critically ill patients in intensive care units (ICU). Prone ventilation is one of the important treatment methods for ARDS, but due to the severity of the patients' conditions, their physical weakness, and poor cooperation, it is difficult for them to adjust to the prone position on their own. This requires a large number of medical staff to adjust the patient to a prone position and implement prone ventilation for than 12 hours daily to achieve therapeutic effects. Clinical implementation often faces challenges such as a shortage of staff, patient discomfort, difficulty in changing positions prolonged time leading to bedsores, and lack of auxiliary equipment. It is particularly challenging for ARDS patients, especially those in critical condition, to adjust their on their own. Therefore, healthcare workers from the department of emergency of Yingtan 184 Hospital designed a prone and side lying double-purpose inflatable mattress for ARDS, and obtained the National Utility Model Patent of China (patent number: ZL 2023 2 1249425.7). The prone and side lying dual-purpose inflatable mattress mainly consists of a main mattress, a forehead pad, a prone position pad, and bilateral side lying position pads. The prone position pad and the lateral position pad on both sides are relatively independent, and can be inflated separately through their inflation nozzles to meet the ventilation needs of ARDS patients in prone or lateral positions, making it easy to adjust the patient's position. This mattress is reasonably designed, simple in structure, easy to operate, comfortable, and practical. It has transformation, promotion, and application value.

Chinese Journal of School Health 2023;44(2):261-265
Objective:
To investigate the breakfast consumption of middle school students and to analyze its relationship with physical fitness, so as to provide reference for improving physical fitness of middle school students.
Methods:
A total of 2 732 middle school students from Shangrao City were selected in September 2021 by random cluster stratified sampling. The breakfast consumption behaviors of middle school students were investigated by questionnaire, and the general information, family information and other lifestyle behaviors were collected. The physical fitness test includes grip strength, standing long jump, 1 minute sit up, sit forward bend, 50 m run and 20 m shuttle run test (20 m SRT) to evaluate the strength, flexibility, speed and endurance of middle school students. χ 2 tests were used to compare the correlation between different demographic characteristics, breakfast behavior and physical fitness, and Logistic regression analysis was used to infer the correlation strength between breakfast behavior and physical fitness.
Results:
The detection rate of physical fitness failure among middle school students was 21.5%. There were statistically significant differences between breakfast frequency and grip strength and 20 m SRT( χ 2=8.27, 13.90, P < 0.05 ). Logistic regression analysis results showed that 20 m SRT was positively correlated with breakfast frequency (sometimes eat breakfast, OR =1.51, skip or occasionally eat breakfast OR =2.08, P <0.05).
Conclusion
The low frequency of breakfast consumption of middle school students is associated with low performance on 20 m SRT. Schools and families should pay attention to the breakfast consumption of middle school students to ensure adequate daily nutrition intake.
