ObjectiveTo investigate the association between noninvasive liver fibrosis markers and carotid plaque （CP） in patients with lean metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease （MAFLD）， and to provide a basis for screening high-risk populations. MethodsA total of 957 patients with lean MAFLD who underwent physical examination in Subei People’s Hospital from January 2021 to June 2023 was enrolled as the observation cohort， with the presence or absence of CP as the outcome， and fibrosis-4 （FIB-4） index and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease fibrosis score （NFS） were used to assess liver fibrosis degree. The independent-samples t test was used for comparison of normally distributed continuous data between two groups， and the Mann-Whitney U test was used for comparison of non-normally distributed continuous data between two groups； the chi-square test was used for comparison of categorical data between two groups. The multivariate logistic regression analysis， the restricted cubic spline analysis， the receiver operating characteristic curve， and the mediation effect analysis were used to investigate the association between liver fibrosis degree and CP. ResultsThe prevalence rate of CP was 36.6% in the lean MAFLD population. Compared with the non-CP group（n=607）， the CP group （n=350） had a significantly higher proportion of male patients， a significantly higher proportion of patients with smoking/diabetes/hypertension， and significantly higher levels of age， creatinine， blood urea nitrogen， triglycerides， fasting blood glucose， aspartate aminotransferase， aspartate aminotransferase/alanine aminotransferase ratio， NFS， and FIB-4 index， as well as significantly lower levels of platelet count and albumin （all P<0.05）. The multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that after adjustment for confounding factors， FIB-4 index （odds ratio［OR］=2.979， 95% confidence interval［CI］：2.141 — 4.219， P<0.001） and NFS （OR=1.747， 95%CI： 1.499 — 2.046， P<0.001） were positively correlated with CP. Both FIB-4 index and NFS had a good value in predicting CP. Hypertension had a significant indirect effect on the prevalence rate of CP through its impact on liver fibrosis markers， and its mediating effect accounted for 39.5% — 40.8% of the total effect （P<0.001）. ConclusionIn patients with lean MAFLD， NFS and FIB-4 index are significantly positively correlated with the prevalence rate of CP， and they can be used as potential epidemiological predictive indicators. Liver fibrosis markers may play a mediating role in the association between hypertension and CP. Interventions targeting hypertension and liver fibrosis markers may help to prevent and delay the progression of CP.

ObjectiveTo investigate the association of liver fibrosis scores and inflammation markers with gallstones in patients with metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease （MAFLD）， as well as the mediating role of liver fibrosis scores in the relationship between inflammation markers and gallstones. MethodsA total of 14 567 patients who received physical examination and were diagnosed with MAFLD in Subei People’s Hospital from January 2014 to June 2023 were enrolled in this study， and according to the results of abdominal color Doppler ultrasound， they were divided into gallstone group with 1 724 patients and non-gallstone group with 12 843 patients. Related clinical data were collected from all patients， including demographic data， medical history， family history， physical examination， Color Doppler ultrasound， and biochemical parameters. The biomarkers associated with metabolic disorders and insulin resistance included triglyceride-glucose index （TyG）， TyG-body mass index （BMI） index， atherogenic index of plasma （AIP）， and non-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol-to-high-density lipoprotein cholesterol ratio （NHHR）； the biomarkers associated with inflammation and nutritional status included neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio （NLR）， neutrophil percentage-to-albumin ratio （NPAR）， and monocyte-to-lymphocyte ratio （MLR）； the biomarkers for assessing liver fibrosis degree and liver function included albumin-bilirubin （ALBI） score， NAFLD fibrosis score （NFS）， fibrosis-4 （FIB-4） index， and aspartate aminotransferase-to-platelet ratio index （APRI）. The independent-samples t test was used for comparison of normally distributed continuous data between two groups， while the Mann-Whitney U test was used for comparison of non-normally distributed continuous data between two groups； the chi-square test was used for comparison of categorical data between two groups. Multivariate Logistic regression analysis， restricted cubic spline analysis， and mediating effect analysis were used to assess the association of liver fibrosis markers and inflammation markers with the risk of gallstones. ResultsThe prevalence rate of gallstones was 11.8% among the MAFLD patients. There were significant differences between the gallstone group and the non-gallstone group in sex， age， smoking history， diabetes， hypertension， lymphocytes， platelets， glucose， albumin， serum uric acid， alanine aminotransferase， aspartate aminotransferase， red blood cell， NLR， NPAR， MLR， NFS， FIB-4 index， and ALBI score （all P<0.05）. The multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that NLR （odds ratio ［OR］=1.091， 95% confidence interval ［CI］： 1.028　—　1.160， P<0.05）， NPAR （OR=1.073， 95%CI： 1.042　—　1.105， P<0.05）， MLR （OR=1.142， 95%CI： 1.057　—　1.232， P<0.05）， NFS （OR=1.239， 95%CI： 1.190　—　1.291， P<0.05）， and FIB-4 index （OR=1.326， 95%CI： 1.241　—　1.417， P<0.05） were influencing factors for the prevalence rate of gallstones. The restricted cubic spline analysis showed a significant non-linear association between NFS/FIB-4 index and the risk of gallstone （non-linear P<0.05）. The mediating effect analysis further showed that the association of NLR， MLR， and NPAR with gallstones was partially mediated by NFS or FIB-4 index， with a mediating effect accounting for 36.79%、28.09%、29.67% and 18.31%、17.70、11.57%， respectively. ConclusionNFS and FIB-4 index have a non-linear association with the prevalence rate of gallstones in MAFLD patients， and they also mediate the association of NLR， NPAR， and MLR with the risk of gallstone.

Objective To investigate whether successful percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)could improve symptoms and quality of life(QOL)in left main disease and/or 3-vessel disease patients with diabetes.Methods Patients with left main disease and/or 3-vessel disease who underwent PCI in the First Affiliated Hospital of Air Force Medical University from April 2018 to May 2021 were consecutively enrolled and subdivided into 2 groups:diabetes and no diabetes.Detailed baseline characteristics,symptoms,including dyspnea and angina,assessed with the Rose dyspnea scale(RDS),Seattle angina questionnaire(SAQ),the European quality of life-5 dimensions(EQ-5D)and 12-item short-form health survey(SF-12)questionnaire respectively,procedural details,and 1 month and 1 year follow-up data were collected.Results Among 440 left main disease and/or 3-vessel disease patients,disease was present in 176(40.00％),who had more hypertension,peripheral artery disease,and LCX lesion(all P＜0.05).The incidence of major adverse cardiovascular events(MACE)and all-cause mortality were similar between the two groups(both P＞0.05)at 1 month follow-up,while all-cause mortality in diabetes patients was significantly higher than those without diabetes at 1 year follow-up(P=0.013).Low left ventricular ejection fraction was an independent risk factor for MACE and all-cause mortality at 1 month and 1 year follow-up after successful revascularization(all P＜0.05).Most importantly,symptoms,including dyspnea and angina,and QOL were markedly improved regardless of diabetes both at 1 month and 1 year follow-up(all P＜0.05).Diabetes patients showed improved dyspnea and QOL at similar degree to the non-diabetes patients(all P＞0.05)and a more significantly relieved angina(P=0.013).Additionally,the number of chronic total occlusion(CTO)per patient was identified as an independent risk factor of dyspnea(OR 0.723,95％CI 0.525～0.997,P=0.048)and angina relief(OR 0.686,95％CI 0.473～0.995,P=0.047),and the contrast volume(OR 0.995,95％CI 0.992～0.999,P=0.008)as an independent risk factor of QOL improvement in diabetic patients.Conclusions Successful PCI is beneficial for relieving symptoms and improving quality of life in patients with diabetes who have left main disease and/or 3-vessel disease.

Objective:To explore the safety and efficacy of intraosseous regional administration (IORA) of vancomycin for preventing infection in primary total knee arthroplasty (TKA).Methods:A total of 124 patients with knee osteoarthritis undergoing TKA between February 2024 and May 2024 at nine hospitals were enrolled. Preoperative infection prophylaxis involved either IORA (0.5 g vancomycin administered via intraosseous regional infusion before incision) or intravenous infusion (1 g vancomycin via peripheral vein). The IORA group included 15 males and 47 females with a median age of 66.5 years (range, 60.0-70.0 years), while the intravenous group included 14 males and 48 females with a median age of 66.0 years (range, 61.8-70.3 years) years. Intraoperative samples were collected including fat and synovium tissues after incision, before prosthesis placement, and after tourniquet release; distal femoral cancellous bone during femoral osteotomy; proximal tibial cancellous bone during tibial osteotomy; proximal intercondylar cancellous bone before prosthesis placement; and peripheral blood from non-infused arms at surgery initiation and after tourniquet release. Vancomycin concentrations were measured using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry. Vital sign changes were recorded from admission to 5~10 minutes post-IORA (IORA group) or post-incision (intravenous group). Follow-ups were conducted on postoperative day 1 and 3, and at 1 and 3 months, to document complications including IORA-related adverse events, periprosthetic joint infections, surgical site infections, red man syndrome, acute kidney injury, deep vein thrombosis and so on.Results:Vancomycin concentrations in bone, fat, and synovial tissue samples were significantly higher in the IORA group than in the intravenous group ( P<0.05), while vancomycin concentrations in blood samples were significantly lower in the IORA group than in the intravenous group ( P<0.05). Only 7.3%(41/558) of tissue samples in the IORA group had vancomycin concentrations below 2.0 μg/g (the minimum inhibitory concentration of vancomycin against coagulase-negative staphylococcus), compared to 59.3%(331/558) in the intravenous group (χ 2=11.285, P<0.001). In the intravenous group, 16.9%(21/124) of blood samples had vancomycin concentrations exceeding 15.0 mg/L (the threshold associated with a significantly increased risk of nephrotoxicity), while all concentrations in the IORA group were below this threshold, the difference was statistically significant (χ 2=22.943, P<0.001). There were no statistically significant difference ( P>0.05) in vital signs changes before and after vancomycin administration between the two groups. Two patients in the intravenous group experienced incision exudate, while no other related complications occurred in either group. Conclusions:Compared to the traditional intravenous infusion of 1 g vancomycin, intraosseous injection of a low dose (0.5 g) of vancomycin achieves higher local tissue concentrations in the knee joint with a lower incidence of adverse reactions and is safe for infection prophylaxis. Despite guidelines not recommending the routine use of vancomycin for preventing infection after primary TKA, intraosseous injection of 0.5 g vancomycin may be considered intraoperatively for primary TKA in the following scenarios: patients in medical institutions with a high prevalence of methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infections, patients with potential preoperative MRSA colonization, or patients with cephalosporin allergy.

Computational modeling is an invaluable tool for mechanism analysis, directed engineering, and rational design of biological parts, metabolic networks, and even cellular systems. It can provide new technological solutions to address biological challenges at different levels and has become a central focus of research in biomanufacturing. In the computational modeling of proteins, which are the key parts in biological systems, the traditional physics-based methods (computer software and mathematical model) have been widely used to study the physical and chemical processes in the functioning of proteins, and have thus been recognized as a powerful tool for understanding complex biological systems and guiding experimental designs. As the scale of computational modeling continues to expand, traditional modeling techniques face difficulties in balancing computational accuracy and speed. In recent years, the explosive growth of biological data has made it possible to construct high-performance artificial intelligence (AI) models, which brings new opportunities to the computational modeling of proteins, and the AI-enhanced physics-based computational modeling technologies have emerged. This combined strategy not only incorporates the chemical knowledge and established physical principles but also is powerful in data processing and pattern recognition, which greatly improves the computational efficiency and prediction accuracy, as well as possesses stronger interpretation ability, transferability, and robustness. The AI-enhanced physics-based computational modeling technologies have already shown great potential and value in biocatalysis, paving a new way for the future development of biomanufacturing.

Objective:To investigate the effect of early high-sucrose diet (eHSD) on cognitive function and its regulatory mechanism in 3×Tg-AD mice.Methods:(1) Eighteen specific-pathogen-free (SPF)-grade 2-month-old wide-type (WT) mice were randomly divided into a WT+normal chow diet (NCD) group and a WT+eHSD group, with 9 mice in each group; and 18 SPF-grade 2-month-old 3×Tg-AD mice were randomly divided into a 3×Tg-AD+NCD group and a 3×Tg-AD+eHSD group, with 9 mice in each group. At 2-5 months old, mice in the 4 groups received standard laboratory food+purified water or 30% sucrose water, followed by standard feed for all groups. At 8 months old, cognitive function was assessed by Morris water maze test; fluorescent intensity of AT8 (phosphorylated [p]-tau) and T22 (tau oligomers) in the hippocampal tissues was detected by immunofluorescent staining; concentrations of β-amyloid protein (Aβ) 42 and Aβ 40 were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA); protein expressions of stimulator of interferon genes (STING), TANK-binding kinase 1 (TBK1), p-TBK1, and CCAAT/enhancer-binding protein β (C/EBPβ) were detected by Western blotting; activity of C/EBPβ transcription factor was detected by activity assay; mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) content in the cytoplasm of cell was detected by real-time quantitative PCR (qPCR). (2) Eighteen SPF-grade 2-month-old 3×Tg-AD mice were randomized into a 3×Tg-AD+eHSD+H-151 group and a 3×Tg-AD+eHSD+dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) group, with 9 mice in each group. Mice at 2-5 months old were given standard laboratory food+30% sucrose water; they were, respectively, injected intraperitoneally with STING pathway inhibitor H-151 or DMSO at 5 months old, and continually injected until 8 months old; and then, the behavioral testing, immunofluorescent staining, ELISA, Western blotting and C/EBPβ transcription factor activity experiments were repeated as before. (3) After crossing C/EBPβ heterozygous knockout (C/EBPβ +/-) mice with 3×Tg-AD mice, 3×Tg-AD/C/EBPβ +/- mice were obtained, and 3×Tg-AD mice were used as controls; they were named 3×Tg-AD/C/EBPβ +/-+eHSD group and 3×Tg-AD+eHSD group, with 9 mice in each group. Both groups of mice were given standard laboratory food+30% sucrose water at 2-5 months old, followed by standard feed until 8 months old; and then, the behavioral testing, immunofluorescent staining, ELISA, and Western blotting experiments were repeated as before. (4) C/EBPβ transgenic mice (C/EBPβTg) were crossed with 3×Tg-AD mice to obtain C/EBPβTg/3×Tg-AD mice, and Non-Tg/3×Tg-AD mice were used as controls; they were, respectively, named as C/EBPβTg/3×Tg-AD+eHSD+H-151 group, Non-Tg/3×Tg-AD+eHSD+H-151 group, and Non-Tg/3×Tg-AD+eHSD+DMSO group, with 9 mice in each group. All 3 groups of mice were given standard laboratory food+30% sucrose water at 2-5 months old; at 5-8 months old, mice in the C/EBPβTg/3×Tg-AD+eHSD+H-151 group and Non-Tg/3×Tg-AD+eHSD+H-151 group were intraperitoneally injected with H-151, while mice in the Non-Tg/3×Tg-AD+eHSD+DMSO group were injected with DMSO; and then, the behavioral testing, immunofluorescent staining, ELISA, and Western blotting experiments were repeated as before. Results:(1) Compared with those in the WT+NCD group and WT+eHSD group, area under the latency curve of 3×Tg-AD+eHSD mice was significantly increased, and proportion of time spending in the targeted quadrant of mice in the 3×Tg-AD+NCD group and 3×Tg-AD+eHSD group was significantly decreased ( P<0.05); compared with that in the 3×Tg-AD+NCD group, proportion of time spending in the targeted quadrant in mice of the 3×Tg-AD+eHSD group was significantly reduced ( P<0.05). Compared with the 3×Tg-AD+NCD group, the 3×Tg-AD+eHSD group had significantly increased p-tau and tau oligomers, Aβ 42 and Aβ 40 concentrations in the hippocampus (AT8 fluorescent intensity: 1.000±0.076 vs. 2.902±0.399; T22 fluorescent intensity: 1.000±0.145 vs. 2.495±0.273; Aβ 42: 1.000±0.167 vs.1.956±0.132; Aβ 40: 1.000±0.226 vs.1.900±0.116), significantly increased C/EBPβ protein expression and C/EBPβ transcription factor activity (1.000±0.164 vs. 1.804±0.112; 1.000±0.216 vs. 2.743±0.301), and statistically increased mtDNA level detected by D-loop1 and D-loop3 (1.000±0.234 vs. 2.800±0.210; 1.000±0.155 vs. 2.952±0.078; P<0.05). Compared with the 3×Tg-AD+NCD group, the 3×Tg-AD+eHSD group had significantly increased STING protein expression and p-TBK1/TBK1 ratio (STING: 1.000±0.192 vs. 2.093±0.081; p-TBK1/TBK1: 1.000±0.148 vs. 1.561±0.112, P<0.05). (2) Compared with the 3×Tg-AD+eHSD+DMSO group, the 3×Tg-AD+eHSD+H-151 group had significantly decreased area under the latency curve, significantly increased proportion of time spending in the targeted quadrant, significantly decreased p-tau and tau oligomers expressions, Aβ 42 and Aβ 40 concentrations in the hippocampus (AT8 fluorescent intensity: 1.000±0.142 vs. 0.538±0.057; T22 fluorescent intensity: 1.000±0.104 vs. 0.665±0.088; Aβ 42: 1.000±0.084 vs. 0.600±0.007; Aβ 40: 1.000±0.138 vs. 0.476±0.083), significantly decreased STING protein expression and p-TBK1/TBK1 ratio (STING: 1.000±0.054 vs. 0.468±0.111; p-TBK1/TBK1: 1.000±0.057 vs. 0.598±0.090), and significantly decreased C/EBPβ transcription factor activity (1.000±0.097 vs. 0.445±0.106; P<0.05). (3) Compared with the 3×Tg-AD+eHSD group, the 3×Tg-AD/C/EBPβ +/-+eHSD group had significantly decreased area under the latency curve, significantly increased proportion of time spending in the targeted quadrant, significantly decreased p-tau and tau oligomers, Aβ 42 and Aβ 40 concentrations in the hippocampus (AT8 fluorescent intensity: 1.000±0.160 vs. 0.506±0.065; T22 fluorescent intensity: 1.000±0.127 vs. 0.346±0.048; Aβ 42: 1.000±0.017 vs. 0.510±0.101; Aβ 40: 1.000±0.098 vs. 0.586±0.153), and significantly decreased C/EBPβ protein expression (1.000±0.101 vs. 0.568±0.094; P<0.05). (4) Compared with the Non-Tg/3×Tg-AD+eHSD+DMSO group, the Non-Tg/3×Tg-AD+eHSD+H-151 group had significantly decreased area under the latency curve, significantly increased proportion of time spending in the targeted quadrant, and significantly decreased p-tau and tau oligomers expressions, Aβ 40 concentration in the hippocampus, and the Non-Tg/3×Tg-AD+eHSD+H-151 group, the C/EBPβTg/3×Tg-AD+eHSD+H-151 group had significantly decreased STING protein expression and p-TBK1/TBK1 ratio in the hippocampus ( P<0.05). Compared with the Non-Tg/3×Tg-AD+eHSD+H-151 group, the C/EBPβTg/3×Tg-AD+eHSD+H-151 group had significantly increased area under the latency curve, significantly decreased proportion of time spending in the targeted quadrant, and significantly increased p-tau and tau oligomers expressions, Aβ 40 and Aβ 42 concentration in the hippocampus ( P<0.05). Conclusion:The eHSD aggravates cognitive impairment in 3×Tg-AD mice through activating cGAS-STING-C/EBPβ pathway.

Objective To explore the role of miR-429 in synovial mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosomes(SMSC-Exos)in repairing cartilage damage in temporomandibular joint osteoarthritis(TMJ OA)by extracting SMSC-Exos from human synovial tissue and screening differentially expressed microRNA(miRNA)through transcriptome sequencing.Methods Human synovial tissues were obtained from 6 patients who underwent surgery at the First Medical Center of the Chinese PLA General Hospital from June to December 2023,including 3 patients with osteoarthritis(OA group)and 3 control patients(control group),all of whom were male.SMSC-Exos were extracted from the synovial tissues for miRNA sequencing and differential expression analysis.Further,Gene Ontology(GO)and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)enrichment analyses were performed on the target genes of differentially expressed miRNA to identify key functional miRNA and construct miRNA-target gene regulatory networks and protein-protein interaction(PPI)networks of target genes.An in vitro model of rabbit condylar cartilage cell inflammatory microenvironment induced by interleukin-1β(IL-1β)was established,with the control group cultured in DMEM/F12 basic medium and the inflammation-induced group cultured in DMEM/F12 basic medium containing 10 ng/ml IL-1β.RT-qPCR was used to detect the effects of overexpressed target miRNA on the mRNA expression levels of cartilage phenotype factors such as type Ⅱ collagen α1 chain(Col2a1),aggrecan(Acan),as well as inflammatory factors including a disintegrin and metalloproteinase with thrombospondin motifs 5(Adamts5)and cyclooxygenase-2(Cox-2).Results(1)SMSC-Exos were successfully isolated,cultured,and identified.(2)miRNA sequencing of SMSC-Exos from OA and control groups revealed 16 differentially expressed miRNAs(|log2FC|>2,P<0.05).Compared with control group,7 miRNAs were up-regulated and 9 were down-regulated in OA group.GO and KEGG analysis indicated that the target genes of miR-429 were mainly involved in development process,anatomical structure development,system development,cell development and differentiation,and were enriched in inflammation-related pathways such as mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)and phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase-protein kinase B(PI3K-Akt).(3)Functional validation of miR-429 in the rabbit condylar cartilage cell inflammatory model showed that overexpression of miR-429 increased the mRNA expression levels of Col2a1 and Acan(P<0.05)and decreased the mRNA expression levels of Adamts5 and Cox-2(P<0.05)in the inflammation-induced group.Conclusions miRNA sequencing of SMSC-Exos isolated and identified from human synovial tissues reveals a specific miRNA expression profile in OA patients,with miR-429 significantly down-regulated.Functional validation demonstrates that overexpression of miR-429 has reparative and anti-inflammatory effects on condylar cartilage cells in an inflammatory microenvironment.

Follow-ups were conducted on postoperative day 1 and 3, and at 1 and 3 months, to document complications including IORA-related adverse events, periprosthetic joint infections, surgical site infections, red man syndrome, acute kidney injury, deep vein thrombosis and so on.Results:Vancomycin concentrations in bone, fat, and synovial tissue samples were significantly higher in the IORA group than in the intravenous group ( P<0.05), while vancomycin concentrations in blood samples were significantly lower in the IORA group than in the intravenous group ( P<0.05). Only 7.3%(41/558) of tissue samples in the IORA group had vancomycin concentrations below 2.0 μg/g (the minimum inhibitory concentration of vancomycin against coagulase-negative staphylococcus), compared to 59.3%(331/558) in the intravenous group (χ 2=11.285, P<0.001). In the intravenous group, 16.9%(21/124) of blood samples had vancomycin concentrations exceeding 15.0 mg/L (the threshold associated with a significantly increased risk of nephrotoxicity), while all concentrations in the IORA group were below this threshold, the difference was statistically significant (χ 2=22.943, P<0.001). There were no statistically significant difference ( P>0.05) in vital signs changes before and after vancomycin administration between the two groups. Two patients in the intravenous group experienced incision exudate, while no other related complications occurred in either group. Conclusions:Compared to the traditional intravenous infusion of 1 g vancomycin, intraosseous injection of a low dose (0.5 g) of vancomycin achieves higher local tissue concentrations in the knee joint with a lower incidence of adverse reactions and is safe for infection prophylaxis. Despite guidelines not recommending the routine use of vancomycin for preventing infection after primary TKA, intraosseous injection of 0.5 g vancomycin may be considered intraoperatively for primary TKA in the following scenarios: patients in medical institutions with a high prevalence of methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infections, patients with potential preoperative MRSA colonization, or patients with cephalosporin allergy.

Objective:To investigate the value of 0.55 T MRI scanner using deep-learning (DL) reconstruction in evaluating pulmonary tumors.Methods:The study was a cross-sectional study. Sixty-one patients with pulmonary tumors on CT images were prospectively collected from May to September 2024 in Peking University First Hospital, including 37 males and 24 females, and aged 46?89 (68±9) years old. All patients underwent lung scan on a 0.55 T MRI, using diffusion weighted imaging(DWI) sequence with b-values of 0 and 800 s/mm 2. According to whether DL reconstruction was used and the number of acquisitions, they were divided into DWI-DL 5∶30 group (DL, number of averages=10, acquisition time=5 min 30 s),DWI-DL 3∶22 group (DL, number of averages=5, acquisition time=3 min 22 s), and DWI-C group (GRAPPA, number of averages=10, acquisition time=5 min 30 s). The obtained images were evaluated subjectively (Likert score) and objectively [signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR)]. Meanwhile the apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) value of the tumors was measured. Friedman nonparametric test was used for comparison among the three groups and Bonferroni method was used for pairwise comparison. Results:The subjective scores, SNR, and CNR were significantly different among DWI-DL 5∶30 group, DWI-DL 3∶22 group, and DWI-C group( χ 2=9.69,87.56,88.62, P=0.008,<0.001,<0.001). Bonferroni method results showed that the subjective scores, SNR, and CNR of DWI-DL 5∶30 group were higher than those of DWI-DL 3∶22 group and DWI-C group ( P<0.05); However, the subjective scores, SNR, and CNR did not significantly differ between DWI-DL 3∶22 group and DWI-C group ( P>0.05). The ADC values of the tumors were not significantly different among DWI-DL 5∶30 group, DWI-DL 3∶22 group, and DWI-C group (χ 2=5.95, P=0.510). Conclusion:The DWI reconstructed using DL has better or similar image quality to conventional DWI in evaluating pulmonary tumors and significantly reduces scanning time, which has certain clinical application value.
