1.Experience and enlightenment from undertaking the special competition for radiation monitoring

Environmental monitoring technologies competition can effectively improve the comprehensive quality and technical skills of technical personnel by means of professional theory exams and on-site practical assessment. In view of the undertaking work of the Second National Competition of Professional and Technical Personnel in Ecology and Environment Monitoring (special competition for radiation monitoring), this paper summarized the experience and gains in the aspects of preliminary preparation, field implementation, achievement generation, etc., analyzed the problems in national radiation environmental monitoring through the achievements of the special competition for radiation monitoring, and put forward recommendations for the next step, in order to provide reference for undertaking similar major events in the future and provide ideas and directions for national radiation environmental monitoring.
2.Identification of hepatitis B virus X-interactive proteins in human hepatocellular carcinoma cell lines HepG2 by using proteomics technique

Objective To identify hepatitis B virus X-interactive proteins by comparative proteomics method and to understand the molecular mechanism of HBx in the development of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods Two-dimensional gel electrophoresis(2-DE)was used to separate the total proteins of HBx-transfected human hepatoma cell lines HepG2-Px and its parental cell lines HepG2-P_0.PDQuest software was applied to analyze 2 DE images.The differentially expressed protein spots between the two cell lines were identified by matrix-assisted laser desorptionionization time of flight mass spectrometry(MALDI-TOF-MS)and electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry(ESI-Q-TOF).Then,the differential expression levels of some identified proteins were determined by Western blot.The data were compared using t test.Results The well-resolved,reproducible 2-DE patterns of HepG2-Px and HepG2-P_0 total proteins were established.A total of 32 differential proteins were identified in HepG2-Px cell,including 25 up-regulated proteins,such as heat shock protein(HSP)90AB1,Bcl-2 associated athanogene(BAG)-2,nucleophosmin(B23),chloride intracellular channel(CLIC)-1,matrix metalloproteinase(MMP)-3,melanoma antigen(MAGE)-12,and 7 down-regulated proteins,such as Wnt-5a.The differential expression levels of some proteins between the two cell lines were confirmed by Western blot analysis.Conclusions Most of the identified proteins are involved in many processes,such as transcription,signal transduction,cell proliferation,cell cycle regulator,apoptosis,DNA repair,metabolisms and immunity.These differential proteins may play a role in tumor genesis and HC development.The data are valuable for further study on the role of HBx in human hepatocellular carcinoma.
3.A comparative study of two operations of sternal fracture

Objective To compare the efficacies of the treatment of sternal fracture with wire fixation and the titanium sternal fixation system. Methods Thirty patients with sternal fracture from May 2003 to July 2009 were followed up. Among them,there were 20 patients with wire fixation (wire fixation group), 10 patients with the titanium sternal fixation system (titanium sternal fixation system group). The conditions before, during and after operation,complications and effects were compared to evaluate the effieaeies of titanium sternal fixation system. Results The operative time of titanium sternal fixation system group and wire fixation group were (67.0 ± 7.9) min and (90.0 ± 8.6) min, the blood loss were (11.0 ± 5.4) ml and (48.0 ± 8.4)ml,the duration of drainage were (0.5 ± 0.4) days and (1.9 ± 0.7) days,the amount of drainage were (1.9 ± 1.3) ml and (19.0 ± 4.6) ml, the average hospitalized days were (2.3 ± 0.5) days and (6.9 ± 0.9) days, the duration of pain were (1.5 ± 0.5) days and (3.8 ± 1.1) days, there were all significant difference between two groups (P < 0.05). The rates of wound infection, delayed union or nonunion, re-fracture,plate fracture or plate shift of wire fixation group were 5% (1/20) ,5% (1/20) ,5% (1/20), 10% (2/20). But the rates of titanium sternal fixation system group were 0, there were all significant difference between two groups (P < 0.05). Conclusion The treatment of sternal fracture with titanium sternal fixation system is a simple and stable fixation,high bone union rate and few complications,especially for the sternal fracture.
