BackgroundAttention deficit hyperactivity disorder （ADHD） is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by age-inappropriate inattention， excessive activities incongruous with setting， and emotional impulsivity. Subthreshold ADHD （sADHD） is clinically defined as the presence of ADHD symptoms that do not meet the full diagnostic criteria for ADHD. Children with sADHD exhibit deficits in executive function， demonstrate more conduct， learning， and anxiety-related problems compared to typically developing children， and show even poorer working memory performance than children diagnosed with ADHD. Currently， there is limited epidemiological research on sADHD in China， with few studies simultaneously investigating the prevalence of both ADHD and sADHD in children. ObjectiveTo investigate the prevalence of ADHD and sADHD among children aged 6–13 years in Chongqing， analyzing their distribution characteristics within this population， with the aim of providing references for developing preventive measures against both ADHD and sADHD. MethodsFrom October to November 2023， a total of 3 398 students in grades 1–6 from six primary schools in Jiangbei District， Chongqing were selected using a stratified cluster random sampling method. The occurrence of ADHD and sADHD was evaluated by using the short version （18-item version） of the Swanson， Nolan， and Pelham IV rating scales （SNAP-IV） and the Chinese vision of Schedule for Affective Disorder and Schizophrenia for School-aged Children-Present and Lifetime Version （K-SADS-PL）. ResultsThe ADHD detection rate among children in Chongqing was 1.90% （95% CI： 0.014–0.024）. Boys showed a significantly higher ADHD detection rate than girls （χ²=7.733， P=0.005）. No statistically significant differences were found in ADHD detection rates across different grades or age groups （χ²=7.347， 12.362， P>0.05）. The sADHD detection rate was 6.32% （95% CI： 0.054–0.072）. Similarly， boys exhibited significantly higher sADHD detection rates than girls （χ²=21.005， P<0.01）. Significant differences emerged across different grades （χ²=20.559， P=0.001）， while no statistically significant difference was observed in age groups （χ²=12.070， P=0.060）. ConclusionThe ADHD detection rates were comparable across all grade levels and age groups from 6–13 years old. Second-grade children demonstrated notably higher sADHD rates compared to other grades， while boys demonstrated higher prevalence rates than girls for both ADHD and sADHD. ［Funded by Science and Health Joint Medical Research Project in Jiangbei District， Chongqing City in the Second Half of 2023 （number， 2023JBKWLH022）］

OBJECTIVE: To explore the molecular reasons of weak expression of B antigen on the red cell. METHODS: Serological test for blood group was carried out, including red cell and plasma grouping, and anti-A1 and anti-H testing, and confirming weak A or B antigens by adsorption and elution. Exons 1-7 were sequenced directly, and one of them was cloned and sequenced. RESULTS: All of the 23 samples showed the weak B antigen by serological method. The alleles of the subgroups were identified by DNA sequencing, including 2 Bel subgroup, 4 B3 subgroup, 14 Bw subgroup, 2 CisAB subgroup and a novel allele. The novel allele showed a nucleotide substitution 662G>A in the exon 7, and the sequence was submitted to Blood Group Antigen Gene Mutation Database, and the novel allele was named Bel10. CONCLUSION Nucleotide substitution in exon results in blood subgroup, which showed that the antigens were weakened, and Bw phenotype was the most frequently subgroup.

Objective:To explore the reliability of preoperative diagnosis of low-grade infectious nonunion using haematological testing and radioisotope scanning (bone 3-phase image).Methods:A retrospective study was conducted of the 265 patients with bone nonunion who had been treated at Department of Orthopaedics, The Sixth People’s Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University and at Department of Orthopaedics, The Eighth People’s Hospital Affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University from June 2010 to June 2018.They were 151 males and 114 females, aged from 19 to 64 years (average, 39.7 years).The nonunions occurred mainly at the tibia (113 cases) and the femur (72 cases).The preoperative results of their white blood cell count (WBC), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), C-reactive protein (CRP) and radioisotope scanning were recorded.Taking the intraoperative pathological observations as the gold standards, the sensitivity, specificity, area under curve (AUC) of receiver operator characteristic (ROC) and Youden index were statistically analyzed respectively for every preoperative haematological tests and radioisotope scanning as well as for different combinations of the radioisotope scanning and one or more haematological tests.Results:Compared with the pathological observations, the radioisotope scanning showed a sensitivity of 80.7%, a specificity of 73.3%, an AUC of 0.770 and a Youden index of 0.540.In the combinations of radioisotope scanning and one haematological test, that of radioisotope scanning and CRP produced the largest AUC of 0.683, a sensitivity of 98.0%, a specificity of 70.3%, and a Youden index of 0.848.In the combinations of radioisotope scanning and 2 haematological tests, that of radioisotope scanning and WBC and ESR produced the largest AUC of 0.895, a sensitivity of 94.3%, a specificity of 67.3%, and a Youden index of 0.616 and all the 3 ones yielded an AUC of more than 0.880.The combination of radioisotope scanning and all the 3 haematological tests produced a sensitivity of 96.5%, a specificity of 79.7%, an AUC of 0.925 and a Youden index of 0.762.Conclusion:Combination of haematological testing and radioisotope scanning can be a reliable preoperative diagnosis of low-grade infection nonunion.

Objective To compare the clinical efficacy of single utility port and multiple utility ports thoracoscopic lobectomy in the treatment of peripheral lung cancer, and to study the operation skills, relative merit and feasibility of the single utility port thoracoscopic lobectomy. Methods The clinical data was analyzed retrospectively for 223 cases with stage Ⅰ orⅡ of peripheral lung cancer who underwent thoracoscopic lobectomy from July 2011 to November 2014 in Shanxi Provincial Cancer Hospital. Among 223 cases, 78 cases received single utility port thoracoscopic lobectomy (single utility port group), 145 cases received 2 or 3 utility ports thoracoscopic lobectomy (multiple utility ports group). The clinical outcomes involved time of operation, intraoperative blood loss,chest drainage, postoperative hospital stay, stations of lymph node dissection, numbers of lymph node dissection, rate of turn to open, postoperative complications, 2-year survival rate and disease free survival rate. Results No perioperative death occurred in both groups. There was no statistical difference between single utility port group and multiple utility ports group in operation time [(157.4 ±13.6) min vs. (151.3 ±23.2) min], intraoperative blood loss [(180.77 ±59.97) ml vs.(171.31 ±77.51) ml],chest drainage [(370.26 ±146.09) ml vs. (351.17 ±159.07) ml], lymph node dissection stations (4.29±0.65 vs. 4.21±0.73), lymph node dissection number (11.50±2.30 vs. 11.04±2.29), rate of turn to open [(5.13 ％ (4/78) vs. 4.83 ％ (7/145)], incidence of postoperative complications [17.95 ％ (14/78) vs. 15.86％(23/145)], postoperative hospital stay [(8.74±0.51) d vs. (9.48±0.63) d], 2-year survival rate [96.15 ％(75/78) vs. 93.79％(136/145)] and 2-year disease free survival rate [80.77 ％ (63/78) vs. 82.07 ％ (119/145)] (all P>0.05). Conclusions The single utility port thoracoscopic lobectomy could achieve the same clinical results as the multiple utility ports. The single utility port thoracoscopic lobectomy is a safe, effective and feasible surgical procedure.

Objective To explore the effect of Ginkgo biloba extract (EGb761) on apoptosis of K-ras mutational human colon cancer cells DLD1(DLD1/G13D)and its mechanism. Methods Human colon cancer cell lines DLD1/G13D and DLD1 with K-ras wild type(DLD1/WT)were cultured in vitro,the cell proliferation and apoptosis after 24 h of EGb761 were measured. Proteins involved in related signal pathway were detected by Western blot or ELISA. Results EGb761 reduced cell proliferation and induced cell apoptosis in a concentration-dependent manner in DLD1/WT and DLD1/G13D cells. EGb761 downregulated the expression of RIP1, impaired the phosphorylation of IκB and decreased the level of NF-κB in DLD1/WT and DLD1/G13D cells[DLD1/G13D: (24±4)%, DLD1/WT: (29±9)%(P<0.05). Conclusion EGb761 restrains the proliferation and induces the apoptosis of DLD1/WT and DLD1/G13D cells. The mechanism may be related to the degradation of RIP-1 and inhibition of activation of NF-κB signaling pathway.

Objective To investigate the effect of meridian-unblocking and mind-regulating acupuncture pretreatment on neurobehavioral functions and cerebral water content and explore its mechanism for modulating miRNA664 and MMP9 expressions in cerebral ischemia/reperfusion rats.Methods One hundred and thirty Wistar rats were randomized into group A (electroacupuncture pretreatment) of 30 rats, group B (moxibustion pretreatment) of 30 rats, group C (aspirin pretreatment) of 30 rats, group D (model) of 30 rats and group E (blank control) of 10 rats. Group A received electroacupuncture; group B, suspended moxibustion with moxa sticks; group C, an oral gavage of aspirin 10 mg/kg. A model of cerebral ischemia/reperfusion was made in every group after seven days. Rat neurobehavioral functions were observed and cerebral water content and relative miRNA664 and MMP9 expressions in the cortical region were determined at 24 hours after reperfusion.Results There was a statistically significant difference in the neurobehavioral score between group A, B, C or D and group E (P<0.01), between group A or B and group C (P<0.01) and between groups A and B (P<0.01). There were statistically significant differences in cerebral water content and relative miRNA664 and MMP9 expressions between group A, B, C or D and group E (P<0.01,P<0.05), between group A, B or C and group D (P<0.01), between group A or B and group C (P<0.01,P<0.05) and between groups A and B (P<0.01,P<0.05).Conclusions Meridian-unblocking and mind-regulating acupuncture pretreatment can effectively decrease the neurobehavioral score and cerebral water content and reduce relative MMP9 expression through modulating miRNA664 expression in cerebral ischemia/reperfusion rats. One of the mechanisms of Du meridian-unblocking and mind-regulating acupuncture pretreatment for protecting the brain may be reducing relative MMP9 expression, inducing tolerance to cerebral ischemia and relieving cerebral edema by the modulation of miRNA664 expression.

Objective:To explore the proliferation inhibition and radiosensitization of Biyanqing granule on nasopharyngeal carci -noma cell line CNE-2 in vitro.Methods:CNE-2 cells were cultured in vitro.The inhibition of Biyanqing granule on the proliferation of CNE-2 cell was evaluated by MTT assay .Radiosensitization was explored by clone formation assay , and cell cycle and apopotosis were observed by flow cytometry ( FCM) .Results:Biyanqing granule could inhibit the proliferation of CNE-2 in a time-and dose-dependent manner.The IC50 in 24, 48 and 72 h was 70.79, 60.13 and 51.63 mg· ml-1(calculated according to the weight of all medicinal ma-terial), respectively.The colony formation assay showed that Biyanqing granule combined with radiation could significantly reduce the colony formation of CNE-2 cells.With the concentration increase of the main drug , the colony formation of CNE-2 cells was reduced . The number of colony formation in the negative control group , the radiation group , 10 mg· ml-1 and 20 mg· ml-1 Biyanqing combined with radiation groups (calculated according to the weight of all medicinal material ) was significant different (P<0.05).With the main drug concentration increasing , the percentage of G 2/M phase and apoptotic cells were both increased , and compared with the con-trol group, the difference was significant (P<0.05).Conclusion:Biyanqing granule can not only inhibit CNE-2 cells but also block CNE-2 cells in G2/M to improve the radiosensitization of CNE-2 cells.

Objective To explore the diagnostic value of combined detection of serum calcium ion (Ca2+ ) ,C‐reaction protein (CRP) ,uric acid(UA) ,homocysteine(Hcy) and complement C3 ,C4 in hypertension disorders complicating pregnancy(HDCP) . Methods Patients with HDCP were enrolled as HDCP group ,and pregnant women without HDCP were enrolled as control group . Serum parameters ,mentioned above ,were detected and compared between the two groups .Diagnostic performance of the parameters was also analyzed .Results Serum levels of Ca2+ ,CRP ,UA ,Hcy and complement C3 ,C4 in HDCP group were significantly differ‐ent from those in control group(P<0 .05) .Sensitivity ,coincidence rate and correct diagnosis rate of combined detection of these six parameters were higher than single detection(P<0 .05) ,but the specificity was without significant difference(P>0 .05) .Serum lev‐els of CRP ,UA and Hcy increased with the progress of HDCP disease condition ,but serum levels of Ca2+ ,C3 and C4 decreased .Be‐tween different sub‐group of HDCP patients ,serum levels of the six parameters were with significant differences(P<0 .05) .Conclu‐sion Early combined detection of serum Ca2+ ,CRP ,UA ,Hcy and complement C3 ,C4 could be with significance for the early diag‐nosis and treatment of HDCP ,and also for the condition assessment of HDCP .

OBJECTIVE: By analysing the video-nystagmography findings of positional tests,to evaluate the therapeutic effect of the patients with horikontal semicircular canal cupulolithiasis (HSC-Cup). METHOD: A retrospective study of 36 patients with HSC-Cup. The induced nystagmus in roll tests was recorded by videonystagmography, whose direction, latency, intensity and time characteristics were analysed. All of the 36 patients were treated with lying position avoiding normal side and oral-taken betahistine mesilate tablets. A week later return visits and curative effects evaluation were made. RESULT: Horizontal apogeotropic nystagmus was induced by turning left or right in HSC-Cup roll tests. The time of latency and duration turning to normal and lesion side were(0. 93 ± 0. 65)s and(1. 01 ± 0. 78)s, (100.58 ± 36. 56)s and (118. 65 ± 143. 71)s, which showed no statistically significant difference (P>0. 05). The duration of nystagmus was more than 60 seconds. The intensity of nystagmus turning to normal and lesion side were(45.58 ± 28.71)°/s and (20.42 ± 16. 64)°/s. The intensity turning to normal side was greater than lesion side obviously. The difference was statistically significant (P<0. 05). Twenty-three patients withright HSC-Cup, and 13 patients with left HSC-Cup were taken in count. They were treated with above methods and return visit a week later. Twenty-eight patients (77. 77%) were cured, 36 patients (100. 00%) were improved. There were 4 patients recurrence during the follow-up. CONCLUSION The direction and duration time of induced nystagmus are available to diagnose the HSC-Cup. The lesion side may determined according to the intensity of induced nystagmus. Lying position avoiding normal side and oral-taken betahistine mesilate tablets is an effective treatment methods for HSC-Cup.

OBJECTIVETo explore the mechanism of lumen loss of the left circumflex ostium after main vessel stent implantation.

METHODSTwenty-eight patients undergoing provisional T technique were enrolled in this study. Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) examination was performed before and after main vessel stenting and kissing balloon post-dilatation to evaluate the geometrical changes of the vessels.

RESULTSThe CSA of LCX ostium lumen decreased significantly from 5.9∓2 mm(2) to 4.9∓1.9 mm(2) (P<0.01) after the procedure, and the CSA of LCX ostium P and M increased from 5.4∓2.9 mmmm(2) to 5.7∓2.9 mm(2) (P=0.21) after the main vessel stenting. The changes in LCX ostium lumen CSA was correlated with the changes of LCX ostium EEM CSA but not the LCX ostium P and M CSA. After kissing balloon post-dilatation, the CSA of LCX ostium lumen increased from 4.9∓1.9 mm(2) to 5.5∓1.9 mm(2) (P<0.01) , and the CSA of LCX ostium P and M showed no obvious changes (5.7∓2.9 mmmm(2) vs 5.7∓2.6 mmmm(2), P=0.89). The changes of LCX ostium lumen CSA were correlated with the those of the LCX ostium EEM CSA (R=0.432, P=0.02).

CONCLUSIONAfter stent implantation from the LMCA to the LAD, most of lumen losses of the LCX are due to carina shift, and in occasional cases, plaque shift occurs from the distal LMCA to the ostium of the LCX. Kissing balloon technique can adjust carina shift but can not improve plaque shift.
