BackgroundWomen may develop severe symptoms of stress disorder following childbirth, which may be exposed to a risk of developing mental health problems, and even lead to the recurrence of the illness in female patients with schizophrenia, while comparatively limited research has been undertaken concerning the clinical characteristics and treatment of puerperal schizophrenia in China. ObjectiveTo explore the clinical characteristics of puerperal schizophrenia, so as to provide references for the clinical treatment. MethodsA total of 24 patients with puerperal schizophrenia who were hospitalized in the female ward of adult psychiatry department of the Affiliated Brain Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University from 2012 to 2020 and met the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, fourth edition (DSM-IV) diagnostic criteria for schizophrenia were included as puerperal group. Another 48 non-puerperal women with schizophrenia were concurrently enrolled as control group. Then the basic data, scores on Positive and Negative Symptom Scale (PANSS) and the discharge medication were recorded. ResultsThe percentages of newly onset and positive family history of psychosis in puerperal group were larger than those in control group, with statistical significance (χ2=9.321, 5.240, P<0.05 or 0.01). Puerperal group scored higher on PANSS excitement factor (t=-2.220, P<0.05) and lower on negative factor (t=3.377, P<0.01) compared with control group. In terms of discharge medication, puerperal group reported a higher dosage of antipsychotic drugs (t=-2.095, P<0.05), and a larger proportion of combined use of benzodiazepines or antidepressants (χ²=21.316, 5.114, P<0.05 or 0.01) compared with control group, with statistical significance. ConclusionPatients with puerperal schizophrenia display increased ratings of excitement symptoms and decreased ratings of negative symptoms, which necessitates the use of high doses of antipsychotic drugs, and combined use of benzodiazepines and antidepressants.

Objective:To establish a performance evaluation system for medical equipment and conduct empirical research, providing a reference for the performance assessment and refined management of medical equipment. Methods:Based on literature research and expert consultation, a multi-dimensional medical equipment performance evaluation index system was constructed. Based on this indicator system, the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method was used to objectively evaluate the performance level of CT, MRI, digital subtraction angiography (DSA), and ultrasound equipment of 6 hospitals in Hubei Province from 2019 to 2021.Results:The evaluation system included 4 first-level indicators including equipment service benefits, social benefits, economic benefits, and sustainable development benefits, including 9 second-level indicators and 21 three-level indicators. In the comprehensive evaluation of hospitals and equipments, there were obvious differences in the performance evaluation results of different types of equipment among hospitals. The comprehensive performance level of DSA was relatively lower compared to other devices. A longitudinal comparison was conducted on DSA equipment, and it was found that its economic benefits had declined and its social benefits had not been fully utilized. Conclusions:The establishment of a scientific performance evaluation system for medical equipment can effectively serve the decision-making and efficient operation of hospital equipment management. It can help hospitals continuously improve the level of refined management of medical equipment from the aspects of establishing management mechanisms and strengthening personnel management, and fully leverage the comprehensive benefits of equipment.

ObjectiveTo explore the component factors of anhedonia in first-episode schizophrenia patients and the relationship with clinical symptoms, cognitive and social functioning. MethodsA total of 31 patients with first-episode schizophrenia who met the diagnostic criteria of the International Classification of Diseases, tenth edition (ICD-10) and another 33 healthy controls were enrolled. Then, the anhedonia level, mental symptoms, cognitive and social functioning were assessed using Temporal Experience of Pleasure Scale (TEPS), Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS), Repeatable Battery for the Assessment of Neuropsychological Status (RBANS) and Personal and Social Performance Scale (PSP). Thereafter, Pearson correlation was used to discuss the correlation of anhedonia level with clinical symptoms, cognitive and social functioning. ResultsThe consummatory anhedonia score in TEPS of first-episode schizophrenia patients was lower than that of healthy controls, with statistical difference [(27.71±5.48) vs. (31.58±5.92), t=2.705, P=0.009]. Correlation analysis showed that consummatory anhedonia had no correlation with PANSS, RBANS and PSP scores in first-episode schizophrenia patients(P>0.05). ConclusionFirst-episode schizophrenia patients have consummatory anhedonia, and the consummatory anhedonia may be independent of clinical symptoms, cognitive and social functioning.

Objective To investigate the association between the osteogenic differentiation in the soft tissue lump and the clinicopathological characteristics of osteosarcoma patients. Methods We retrospectively reviewed the clinical data of conventional osteosarcoma patients with soft tissue lumps, including Enneking stages, chemotherapy sensitivity, overall survival and post-metastatic survival time. The ossification level in soft tissue lumps was assessed by imaging and the proportion of osteoid matrix was assessed by pathological examination. Results A total of 189 cases were included in this study. In patients with Enneking IIIB, non-osteoblastic, partially osteoblastic and osteoblastic types accounted for 30.2%, 9.6% and 6.3%, respectively. Non-osteoblastic osteosarcoma patients had a higher rate of initial metastasis (

Objective: To establish the rational drug use standard for elderly hypertensive patients after comprehensive assessment, so as to provide evidence for rational drug use in clinics. Methods: Such standards as Beers, STOPP and START were summarized, key items were extracted, duplicate contents were deleted, and the initial standard was formed and used as the first round questionnaire. The Delphi method was used to conduct the second round expert consultation questionnaire, and the positive coefficients, authority and coordination degree of the experts were evaluated. Results: A total of 10 experts participated in the consultation, and the effective re-covery rate of the second round was 100% and the average authority coefficient was 0. 88. The coordination coefficient of the two rounds was 0. 57 and 0. 76, respectively. The standard of rational drug use for the elderly patients with hypertension after comprehensive as-sessment was finally completed. The standard contained 13 comprehensive assessment contents and 21 drug warning entries. Conclu-sion: After 2 rounds of expert consultation, the opinions tend to be uniform with high degree of coordination. The standard can provide reference for clinicians and clinical pharmacists to use drugs rationally. At the same time,it also provides ideas for the establishment of rational drug use standards for other diseases.

Chinese Journal of Clinical Oncology 2015;(23):1113-1117
Lung cancer is the main cause of cancer-related death worldwide. Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) accounts for about 80% of lung cancer cases, but only 25%-30% of initially diagnosed patients have the option of radical surgery because of the lack of effective measures for early diagnosis. For locally advanced and advanced NSCLC, radiotherapy alone or comprehensive treatment with chemoradiotherapy is the main treatment method; however, the curative effect is unsatisfactory. Recently, increasing evidence sug-gests that targeted drugs, such as epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitors (EGFR-TKIs), combined with radiotherapy/chemoradiotherapy represent a promising treatment modality for NSCLC. This review will discuss the research status of EGFR-TKIs and radiotherapy for locally advanced and advanced NSCLC.

OBJECTIVEIn May 2013, an abnormal increase of surgical-site infection among post cesarean section patients was reported at one hospital in Zhongshan. An investigation was conducted to identify the risk factors and related control measures.
METHODSAll the reported surgical-site infection records among post cesarean section patients were checked. A review of cesarean section schedules of health workers was also performed. An 1 : 2 case-control study was conducted among surgical-site infection cases in May 2013. Microbiologic cultures were performed on 2 surgical site secretion samples and 12 samples from the environment. All the positive isolates were molecular typed by pulsed field gel electrophoresis (PFGE).
RESULTSIn May 2013, 4 post cesarean section patients who developed surgical-site infection symptom at one hospital in Zhongshan were reported, with an attack rate as 10.3% (4/39). The emergence time of symptom was 2-3 days after operation. All of the 4 cases underwent an emergency operation. The median time interval for cases from admission to operation was 7.2 hours (ranged from 2 to 9 hours), lower than that seen in the controls, with a median time of 20.8 hours (Z = 5.50, P = 0.03). Two of the 4 cases took type-B ultrasonic inspection 1.4 h and 8.4 h before the operation, and the other two cases took continuous fetal heart monitoring 2 hours before the operation. Skin of the operation area on the 4 cases had been exposed to ultrasonic couplant, without a thorough clean. The proportion of type-B ultrasonic inspection or continuous fetal heart monitoring was much higher in cases than in controls (χ² = 5.19, P = 0.01). Burkholderia cepacia (BC) isolates were discovered from:one surgical site secretion, 2 type-B ultrasonic probe samples, one ultrasonic couplant in use and one ultrasonic couplant unopened. All the isolates were identified as 100% identical by PFGE.
CONCLUSIONThe skin of operation area of cesarean section patients had been exposed to BC contaminated ultrasonic couplant without thorough cleaning, which seemed to be related to the outbreak of surgical-site infection, in our case.
