Prolonged standing work can lead to various lower limb health issues. Footwear, as a convenient and noninvasive intervention, plays a key role in foot protection. The purpose of this review was to evaluate the impact of footwear characteristics on foot comfort among workers engaged in prolonged standing occupations. A systematic search of PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, and the Cochrane Library was conducted until March 2025 for experimental and observational studies; the review is registered in International Prospective Register of Systematic Reviews (CRD420251003253).Given the diversity of study designs, participant characteristics, and outcome measures, results were synthesized narratively, organizing findings by footwear design factors. The synthesis indicated that soft soles reduce foot impact and fatigue but offer limited support, whereas hard soles enhance stability but may cause localized pressure and discomfort. Sole hardness should balance cushioning and support based on activity: hard soles for standing and soft soles for walking. Insole hardness must be carefully considered as semirigid arch supports can cause discomfort. Most insoles improve pressure distribution by adjusting arch loading, and some enhance intrinsic foot muscles by promoting toe engagement, reducing leg swelling. Custom orthotic insoles outperform standard ones in comfort and balance. Future research should promote interdisciplinary collaboration with footwear designers to explore key design parameters and establish a scientific framework for protective footwear.

The single photon counting imaging detector based on microchannel plate(MCP)has the characteristics of high sensitivity and low dark count rate, and has been applied to the optical remote sensing detection of weak ultraviolet spectral signals in space. In this work,by using planar array single photon counting imaging detector as the detector,flat-field concave grating as the splitter, and electrodeless discharge lamp(EDL)as the excitation light source,a dispersion detection system suitable for hydride generation-atomic fluorescence spectrometry(HG-AFS)was developed. The wavelength calibration of the system was carried out,and the negative high pressure and EDL stability time of the planar array single photon counting imaging detector were analyzed and optimized. The characteristic emission spectral lines of As and Bi elements excited in the wavelength range of 180-320 nm were analyzed, and the scattering interference in the wavelength range of 257.3-306.7 nm was discussed. The results showed that the AFS dispersion detection system based on the planar array single photon counting imaging detector could detect and analyze the HG-AFS fluorescence signal initially, and the influence of scattering interference on the detection results was effectively avoided. The system had the advantages including simple structure,no refrigeration and temperature control,no moving parts and simultaneous measurement of multi-band.

The objective assessment of hearing loss is one of the critical components in forensic clini-cal research.Auditory brainstem response(ABR)is an important method for objectively assessing hearing levels. It is divided into various types based on different stimulus signals, each with its own characteris-tics and applications.Among them,narrow-band Chirp ABR,due to its frequency specificity, fulfills the basic requirements for objective assessment of forensic audiology, promising to be an important method of objective hearing assessment in forensic medicine. This article reviews the development history,charac-teristics and clinical applications of Chirp ABR,and envisions its application prospects in forensic audi-tory identification.

Objective:To summarize medication safety assessment tools for clinical nurses both domestically and internationally. Methods:Guided by the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) scoping review methodology, a systematic search was conducted across CINAHL, Embase, PubMed, Web of Science, SinoMed, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, and WanFang Data. The search period was from the establishment of database to January 1, 2025. Medication safety assessment tools for clinical nurses were extracted, relevant content was systematically analyzed, and the retrieval results were reported in a standardized manner. Results:A total of 28 studies were included, involving 15 medication safety assessment tools for clinical nurses. Assessment methods employed multidimensional and graded self-assessment formats. Based on evaluation perspectives, these tools were categorized into six types, including operational standardization monitoring, cognitive bias calibration, environmental stress testing, capability threshold identification, reporting barrier analysis, and medication information systems. The assessment tools had high reliability and validity, multiple types, and diverse evaluation perspectives. Conclusions:Researchers should carefully select and use assessment tools based on research characteristics. It is necessary to enhance the autonomy of nursing research on medication safety, develop comprehensive and accurate clinical nurse medication safety assessment tools that are adapted to China's clinical context, and promote the improvement of nurse medication safety.

Objective To evaluate the safety and efficacy of valve-in-valve transcatheter mitral valve replacement(ViV-TMVR)in patients with bioprosthetic valve degeneration who are at high surgical risk. Methods This study is a multi-center,retrospective cohort analysis of 20 consecutive patients who underwent transseptal ViV-TMVR using the Edwards SAPIEN 3 transcatheter heart valve(THV).The primary endpoints include technical success and procedural success, both defined according to the Mitral Valve Academic Research Consortium(MVARC)criteria,as well as mortality and functional change assessed based on New York Heart Association(NYHA)classification at 30-days and six months post-procedure.Clinical follow-up assessments are conducted at 30-days and six months. Results From February 2021 to October 2022,a total of 20 patients with symptoms of bioprosthetic valve degeneration were enrolled across nine sites in China. The patients had a mean age of(73.5±5.5)years,with 85.0%being females and 70.0%classified as NYHA class Ⅲ/Ⅳ.The study achieved a 100.0%technical success rate and a 90.0%procedural success rate finally. All patients remained alive during the 30-day follow-up period. However, six months post-intervention,two patients(10.0%)were re-hospitalized due to heart failure, and sadly, one of them(5.0%)died.None of the patients reported any adverse events related to ViV-TMVR during the follow-up period.Notably, there was a significant improvement in NYHA class compared to baseline(P=0.0004)at six-month follow-ups.Conclusions The transseptal ViV-TMVR technique proved to be highly successful and was associated with significant improvement in NYHA class function. These findings strongly suggest that it serves as a safe and efficient treatment alternative for high-risk patients suffering from bioprosthetic valve degeneration.

Journal of Experimental Hematology 2025;33(6):1784-1789
Objective:To investigate the incidence, clinical characteristics, and complications of Torque teno virus(TTV)in children after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(HSCT).Methods:A total of 40 children with hematological diseases who underwent HSCT were selected, and metagenomic next-generation sequencing(mNGS)technology was used to detect the gene sequences of pathogenic microorganisms in the blood.Combined with clinical data, the characteristics of TTV infection were analyzed. Results:Among the 40 pediatric patients post-HSCT,the TTV positive rate was 42.5%(17/40).There were no statistically significant differences between the TTV-positive group and the TTV-negative group in sex, age, white blood cell count(WBC),red blood cell count(RBC),hemoglobin, platelet count, neutrophil count, lymphocyte count, and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein(all P>0.05).The incidence of TTV infection was significantly higher in children who underwent haploidentical HSCT and in those with bone marrow stem cells(BMSC)as the transplant source(P<0.05).However,there were no significant differences in the TTV infection rate among patients with different disease types, different HLA matching statuses,or different engraftment times of neutrophils and platelets(all P>0.05).Among 17 children infected with TTV,13(76.5%)had co-infections with other viruses, mainly including cytomegalovirus(58.8%,10/17),human polyomavirus(41.2%,7/17),and Epstein-Barr virus(17.6%,3/17).In children with TTV infection, the most common complications were sepsis(82.4%),graft-versus-host disease(GVHD)(70.6%),pulmonary infection(41.2%),and hemorrhagic cystitis(17.6%).The incidence of GVHD in the TTV-positive group was significantly higher than that in the TTV-negative group(P<0.05).Conclusion:TTV infection is common in children undergoing HSCT,and it is prone to be complicated with cytomegalovirus infection and GVHD,which has an important influence on the clinical outcomes.
