Objective To investigate the relationship between serum cystatin C(CysC)level and the risk of Parkinson's disease(PD)in middle-aged and elderly people in China.Methods Based on the baseline survey data from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study(CHARLS)in 2011,participants who were not diagnosed with PD at the time of the baseline survey were recruited.The onset of PD was tracked and followed up until 2020,and the participants were divided into PD group and non-PD group according to whether they were newly diagnosed with PD in 2020.Multivariable Logistic regression analysis was performed to assess the association between serum CysC level and the risk of PD.Subgroup and interaction analyses were performed to assess effect modifications by age,gender and depression.Additionally,restricted cubic spline(RCS)was used to explore the linear or non-linear relationship between serum CysC level and the risk of PD in different subgroups.Results We included a total of 3 339 subjects in this study,who consisted of 1 495 males(44.77％)and 1 844 females(55.23％).While baseline participants were followed until 2020,32 subjects had a new PD,and the incidence of PD was 0.96％.The median age of PD group was 63.00 years.Multivariable Logistic regression analysis found that CysC was an independent risk factor for the risk of PD,and CysC was positive significantly associated with the risk of PD(OR=2.34,95％ CI:1.14-4.82,P=0.021).Subgroup analysis showed that CysC was positively associated with PD in females(OR=2.70,95％ CI:1.30-5.58,P=0.007)and subjects aged 60 years or older(OR=5.29,95％ CI:1.69-16.53,P=0.004).RCS model indicated a linear relationship between serum CysC level and the risk of PD in females(Ptotal=0.018,Pnon-linear=0.062)and subjects aged 60 years or older(Ptotal=0.024,Pnon-linear=0.379).Conclusion High level of CysC may increase the risk of PD in middle-aged and elderly people,especially in females and those aged 60 years or older.

Objective:To explore the clinical application of preimplantation genetic testing for monogenic disorders (PGT-M) in an unique case with Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) type 2+ 0.Methods:A special SMA family presented at the Third Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University on October 19, 2020 was selected as the study subject. Multiple ligation-dependent probe amplification (MLPA) and molecular tagging linkage analysis were carried out to identify the SMN1 genotype of the couple and their fetus. Subsequently, next-generation sequencing (NGS), molecular tagging linkage analysis, and chromosomal microarray analysis were employed to determine the haplotypes and validate the result of PGT-M on the 11 embryos derived for the couple. Results:The female partner was identified as a carrier of the rare SMN1[2+ 0] variant, and prenatal diagnosis confirmed the fetus to be affected by SMA. Ultimately, PGT-M has successfully selected four embryos free from the pathogenic SMN1 variants and X chromosome deletion. Conclusion:PGT-M can effectively prevent the transmission of rare genetic variants such as the SMA 2+ 0 subtype in the families. Above finding has provided guidance for genetic counseling and family planning for the couple.

Objective:To analyze the characteristics of smoking network among smokers in Kunming smoking cessation outpatient service.Methods:A multicenter, cross-sectional study was carried out, and smoking cessation outpatients from 8 tertiary hospitals (the Second Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University, the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University, Yan′an Hospital, Ganmei Hospital, the 920 Hospital of the Chinese People′s Liberation Army Joint Logistic Support Force, Kunming First People′s Hospital, the First People′s Hospital of Yunnan Province and the Second People′s Hospital of Yunnan Province) in Kunming, Yunnan Province were included to receive a questionnaire survey. The questionnaire mainly consisted of four parts: (1) demographic characteristics of smokers; (2) the specific situation of smoking; (3) social support network; (4) smoking network. A total of 360 questionnaires were distributed in this survey, 351 were recovered, and 351 were valid, the collected data from valid questionnaire were statistically analyzed to analyze the social demographic characteristics, smoking status and smoking network characteristics of smokers.Results:In this survey, the demographic characteristics of the 351 patients in the smoking cessation clinic were as follows: there were 342 male cases (97.4%), 249 cases (70.9%) were Han, 233 patients (66.4%) were non-religious, there were 236 cases (67.2%) with college degree or above, and 51 cases (14.5%) were unemployed. The analysis of smoking status showed that 167 patients (47.6%) maintained daily smoking, 247 patients (70.4%) had plans to quit smoking, at least one parent of 258 patients (73.5%) had a history of smoking, 188 patients (53.6 %) smoked at home. In the smoking network of the surveyed patients, there were 304 patients (86.6%) who smoked together with two or more people, and more than 90 percent of the patients smoked with the same sex.Conclusions:The smoking network of patients in Kunming smoking cessation clinic is small, and a third of smokers are friends. It is suggested to use the characteristics of smoking network to carry out smoking cessation intervention activities, so as to improve the success rate of smoking cessation.

Objective To systematically evaluate the effects of lidocaine on female patients during urinary catheterization.Methods A literature search was conducted in following databases as the Cochrane Library,EMbase,PubMed,CBM,CNKI,VIP,and Wanfang data.All included RCTs were screened and assessed according to the standard of Cochrane systematic review.The data were analyzed by RevMan 5.0 software.Results A total of 11 RCTs were included,involving 737 patients in the experimental group,666 patients in the control group.The results of Meta-analysis showed that there were significant differences between the two groups in the pain caused by intubation,one-time success rate of intubation,and agitation rate in anesthesia recovery period.Conclusions Using lidocaine for female patients before catheterization may reduce the pain,increase the one-time success rate of intubation,and reduce agitation rate in anesthesia recovery period.The results still need to be confirmed by more high-quality and large-sample RCTs.

Podcast,a versatile web-based technology,has been widely employed in international nursing education.In China,however,it is only applied based on its video-related function.The other functions,such as subscribing,participating,mobile,and sharing learning option have not been fully exploited.The studies on application of podcast demonstrate that it can excite the learning interest,alleviate stress and anxiety,and enhance the preclinical educational experience.Moreover,it facilitates the self-study ability.Therefore the podcast is expected to be applied more widely in the domestic nursing education.

Purpose: To observe the therapeutic effect of radio-frequency current therapy and TDP plus electroacupuncture in treating chronic prostatitis. Methods: The WE2102-3 type radio-frequency current apparatus made in Dalian and TDP plus electroacupuncture were adopted to treat 35 cases of chronic prostatitis, each treatment lasted 40 min, and 15 times made up a course of treatment, 2-3 courses in all. Results: Twelve cases was cured, 10 cases was remarkably effective, 8 cases was effective, 5 cases got no effect, with the total effective rate being 62.9%. Conclusion: The radio-frequency current therapy and TDP plus electro-acupuncture had a better effect on chronic prostatitis.
