Objective:To evaluate the effects of nasal endoscopy in curettage of large mandibular cyst.Methods:20 cases of large mandibular cyst admitted to Xianyang Hosptial of Yan'an University from January 2022 to December 2023 were included. The curet-tage of mandibular cyst was performed under general anesthesia through intraoral incision by nasal endoscopy-assisted illumination and enlargement of the lesion area during the operation. The application effects were evaluated from the aspects of surgical incision length, nerve injury and cyst recurrence. Results:During operation, the surgical filed of view was clear and the operation was suc-ceeded in all cases. There was no complication in and after the nasal endoscopy-assisted curettage,no cyst recurrence was observed during 1-year follow-up.Conclusion:Nasal endoscopy-assisted curettage of large mandibular cyst is effective and safe.

Objective To observe the clinical effect of preoperative acupuncture on hypercoagulability of elderly patients with intertrochanteric fracture. Methods Sixty elderly patients with intertrochanteric fracture were evenly randomized into control group and acupuncture group. Both groups were treated with external application of Shangke Huangshui gauze on the affected region, and additionally the acupuncture group was treated with acupuncture on bilateral acupoints of Huantiao, Xuehai, Liangqiu, Zusanli, Sanyinjiao, and Taichong. The treatment for the two groups was performed from the hospitalized day to the day before operation. The parameters of thrombelastograph (TEG) before and after treatment and the occurrence of deep venous thrombosis (DVT) were observed . Results After treatment, the difference of TEG parameters of the control group was insignificant as compared with those before treatment (P>0.05). In the acupuncture group, the coagulation reaction time(R) and clot formation time(K) were significantly prolonged(P < 0.05) , and coagulation angle alpha (α), maximal amplitude (MA)of thrombus and clot strength (G) were significantly decreased (P <0.05), the effect being superior to that in the control group(P<0.05). Till the day before operation , 3 cases from the control group suffered from DVT, but none of acupuncture group suffered from DVT, the difference between the two groups being insignificant(P > 0.05). Conclusion Preoperative application of acupuncture can improve the hypercoagulability of elderly patients after hip fracture.

Objective To improve the detecting sensitivity of serum specific IgE (sIgE) by improving the quality of coated antigen in shrimp. Methods The extracts from shrimp protein was prepared. Western blot assay was used to identify the major allergenic protein components. The protein components>55 ku were separated by Sephadex gel chromatography. SDS-PAGE technology was used to analyze proteins. Samples of shrimp protein and proteins>55 ku were used as the coat-ing antigen to coat 96 microplate respectively. Western blot assay and ELISA were used to evaluate preliminary sensitivity of the purified antigen for detecting sIgE. Results Immunoblot experiments showed that the protein>55 ku was the main aller-genic protein component of shrimp. Those >55 ku proteins were separated successfully by Sephadex gel chromatography, showing 10 identifiable bands in SDS-PAGE. Dot-pot immunoassay showed that proteins>55 ku used as coated antigens could improve the spots density of the weak serum. Meanwhile, the result of ELISA showed that sIgE detection value in-creased 92.9%in patients with shrimp allergy after coating effective antigens. Conclusion The detecting sensitivity of sIgE can be improved by using effective protein components of shrimp as coated antigens.
