Objective:
To investigate the current status of refractive errors and insufficient hyperopia reserve in preschool children aged 3-6 years in Hefei and to analyze influencing factors, so as to provide a scientific basis for formulating targeted myopia prevention policies and comprehensive interventions.
Methods:
In May 2022, a stratified cluster random sampling method was used to select 897 preschool children from 8 kindergartens across four districts (Baohe, Yaohai, Shushan, and Economic and Technological Development Zone) in Hefei, and Children’s Visual Health related Behavior Assessment Scale was used to collect personal information and environmental factors. Pre and post cycloplegic refraction tests were conducted to assess insufficient hyperopic reserve and refractive development levels. Group comparisons were conducted using 2 test, t-test or analysis of variance. Multivariate regression analysis was performed to identify key factors influencing hyperopic reserve, axial length and spherical equivalent in preschool children.
Results:
The detection rates of refractive errors among preschool children were 6.8% for hyperopia, 1.6% for myopia, and 11.1% for astigmatism. Notably, the prevalence of myopia was significantly higher in boys (2.3%) than in girls (0.7%) ( χ 2=3.88, P <0.05). Additionally, 8.8% of the children exhibited insufficient hyperopic reserve. The results of multiple regression analysis showed that preschool children with high myopia in the father, high myopia in the mother, longer daily duration of near work, and longer daily electronic product use time had increased risks of axial growth ( β =0.12, 0.09, 0.15, 0.11), SE reduction ( β =-0.10, -0.07, -0.18, -0.13), and insufficient hyperopic reserve ( OR=1.87, 2.22, 1.40, 1.28) (P <0.05). While, preschool children with longer sleep time and daily outdoor activity duration had lower risks of axial growth ( β =-0.11, -0.10 ), SE reduction ( β =0.39, 0.51), and insufficient hyperopia reserve ( OR =0.54, 0.51) in preschool children ( P <0.05).
Conclusions
The rates of refractive errors and insufficient hyperopia reserve in preschool children in Hefei are relatively low, which are influenced by many factors. Parents, kindergartens and relevant departments should implement early vision monitoring and intervention for preschool children, and cultivate their scientific eye use habits.

Objective:To investigate the application value of optical coherence tomography (OCT) and intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) in evaluating flow diverter (FD) apposition and endothelialization in aneurysm animal models, and analyze the effect of incomplete stent apposition (ISA) on aneurysm lumen healing and stent endothelialization. Methods:Lateral common carotid artery aneurysm models in swines were established by surgical method and then FD was implanted. Immediately after surgery, OCT and IVUS were used to evaluate the locations and degrees of ISA, and difference between these 2 methods in evaluating FD apposition was compared. DSA was performed at 12 weeks after surgery to evaluate the aneurysm occlusion (Kamran grading) and stent patency. OCT and IVUS were used again to observe the stent endothelial situation; by comparing with histopathologic results, effect of ISA on aneurysm healing and stent endothelialization was analyzed. Results:Lateral common carotid artery aneurysm models in 6 swines were established, and 6 Tubridge FDs were successfully implanted. Compared with IVUS (3 stents, 4 locus), OCT could detect more ISA (6 stents, 14 locus); and the vascular diameter change area (7 locus), aneurysm neck area (4 locus) and the head and tail of FD (3 locus) were the main sites of FD malapposition; average distance between stent wire and vessel wall was (560.14±101.48) μm. At 12 weeks after surgery, DSA showed that 1 patient had a little residual contrast agent at the aneurysm neck (Kamran grading 3), and the remaining 5 had complete aneurysm occlusion (Kamran grading 4). One FD had moderate lumen stenosis, and the other 5 FDs had lumen patency. OCT indicated mostly disappeared acute ISA; ISA proportion decreased to 21.4 % (3/14), including 2 in the aneurysm neck and 1 in the partial stent. Histopathological results showed bare stent woven silk, without obvious endothelial coverage; in one FD with luminal stenosis, intimal hyperplasia was mainly composed of vascular smooth muscle cells. Conclusion:In carotid artery aneurysm model with FD implantation, OCT can detect more ISA than IVUS; most acute ISA have good outcome at 12 th week of follow-up, while severe ISA can cause delayed FD endothelialization and delayed aneurysm occlusion.

Objective:
To observe the effects of multi sensory stimulation (MSS) intervention on the psychological state, neurobiology, and neuroelectrophysiological indicators of college students with Internet addiction disorder (IAD), so as to provide high quality evidence for the optimization of IAD intervention plans.
Methods:
At the beginning of the spring semester of 2022-2023 academic year, 114 first year and sophomore IAD college students from Chongqing Second Normal University were selected by group random sampling method, and were randomly assigned into control group, physical exercise group, and observation group (28 in each group). The control group received routine psychological intervention, while the physical exercise group received routine physical exercise on the basis of the control group. The observation group received a MSS intervention on the basis of the control group. The MSS intervention included 8 means of color, incense, music, lozenges, press needle, massage, Tai Chi and static work. The intervention periocl was from April 1 to June 30, 2023, and all three groups were intervened for 12 weeks. The revised Chinese Internet Addiction Scale (CIAS-R), Self Control Scale (SCS), Symptom Checklist-90 (SCL-90) were observed before and after intervention, dopamine (DA) and β Endorphin (β EP) concentration were collected, and the amplitude and latency levels of N200 were analyzed by Event Related Potential (ERP).
Results:
The CIAS-R score of the observation group (36.08±4.98) was lower than physical exercise group (49.55±5.19) and control group (54.82±4.10), and the SCS score of the observation group (76.08± 1.98 ) was higher than physical exercise group (66.16±1.92) and control group (52.59±1.53) ( F=12.08, 13.18, P <0.05). In comparison of various dimensions of SCL-90, the observation group showed lower scores in the four dimensions of somatization, depression, anxiety, and psychoticism compared to the other two groups ( F=9.11, 8.92, 8.17, 8.48, P <0.05). In the dimensions of obsessive-compulsive symptoms, interpersonal sensitivity, and others in observation group were lower than the control group ( F= 4.20 , 5.16, 5.60, P <0.05). However, there was no difference in the two dimensions of terror and paranoia among the three groups ( F=0.24, 0.19, P > 0.05). The levels in plasma DA, βEP and the amplitude and latency of N200 among observation group were better than other two groups, and the differences were statistically significant ( F=9.92, 8.93, 6.24, 8.05, P <0.05).
Conclusion
MSS intervention can alleviate the related symptoms of IAD college students, improve neurobiological and neurophysiological indicators.

International Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2024;46(2):151-155
Tripterygium wilfordii is widely used in the treatment of autoimmune system diseases, but its obvious reproductive toxicity limits the clinical application and promotion of the drug. At present, there is no clear solution to the reproductive injury of Tripterygium wilfordii. TCM believes that its reproductive toxicity lies in its properties of pungent, bitter, and cold. Long-term use can dry liver and blood, hurt liver and yang, consume kidney essence, damage kidney and yang, destroy the balance of qi and blood, yin and yang in the internal organs, and cause infertility. Based on the relationship between liver and kidney and human reproductive function, this article proposed to understand the reproductive toxicity of Tripterygium wilfordii from the perspective of "Yi and Gui homology", and explored the method of reducing the reproductive toxicity of Tripterygium wilfordii according to the thought of "treating liver and kidney together", in order to expand the theoretical thinking of TCM for the safe clinical application of this drug.

Objective:
To observe the effect of dynamic and static combination of Wuqinxi on the psychological state and prefrontal oxygenated hemoglobin of female college students with subliminal depression (SD), so as to provide a high quality reference for optimizing their interventional measures.
Methods:
A total of 72 female college students with SD in their third year of two semesters in the 2021-2022 academic year of Chongqing Second Normal University were randomly divided into a control group, an observation group 1, and an observation group 2. The control group received routine psychological intervention once a week, 20 minutes/time, while the observation group 1 received Wuqinxi exercise twice a day for about 30 minutes on the basis of the control group. The observation group 2 received a combination of dynamic and static Wuqinxi exercise on the basis of the control group, Wuqinxi dynamic exercise combined with Wuqinxi exercise guided imagination training about 20 minutes/time. All three groups received 12 weeks of intervention. Observe the Chinese version of the Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD-24), Subthreshold Depression Scale (STDS), and Symptom Checklist-90 (SCL-90) before and after intervention, and collect serum γ aminobutyric acid (GABA) and plasma adrenocor ticotropic hormone (ACTH), and the concentration of oxyhemoglobin (Oxy Hb) in the prefrontal lobe were detected by functional near infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS).
Results:
The results showed that the HAMD-24 and STDS scores of the two groups (11.33±1.29, 53.08±2.31) were lower than those of the control group and observation group 1 (18.27± 2.02 , 73.60±4.05; 15.19±1.92, 64.58±2.69), with statistically significant differences ( F=8.64, 11.85, P <0.05). Observing that the six dimensions of somatization, interpersonal, depression, anxiety, hostility psychoticism in the SCL-90 scale were lower in the two groups than in the other two groups ( F=3.68, 9.83, 10.37, 5.85, 3.05, 7.46, P <0.05). The plasma ACTH levels in the observation group were lower than those in the other two groups, while the peak concentration of Oxy Hb was higher than those in the other two groups ( F =3.27, 6.08, P <0.05). The serum GABA levels were higher than those in the control group, and there was no difference compared to the observation group 1 ( P >0.05).
Conclusion
The combination of dynamic and static Wuqinxi training can improve the psychological state of female college students with subthreshold depression, alleviate the depressive symptoms, possibly through increase of prefrontal oxygenated hemoglobin.

Neuroscience Bulletin 2023;39(5):759-773
The perception of motion is an important function of vision. Neural wiring diagrams for extracting directional information have been obtained by connectome reconstruction. Direction selectivity in Drosophila is thought to originate in T4/T5 neurons through integrating inputs with different temporal filtering properties. Through genetic screening based on synaptic distribution, we isolated a new type of TmY neuron, termed TmY-ds, that form reciprocal synaptic connections with T4/T5 neurons. Its neurites responded to grating motion along the four cardinal directions and showed a variety of direction selectivity. Intriguingly, its direction selectivity originated from temporal filtering neurons rather than T4/T5. Genetic silencing and activation experiments showed that TmY-ds neurons are functionally upstream of T4/T5. Our results suggest that direction selectivity is generated in a tripartite circuit formed among these three neurons-temporal filtering, TmY-ds, and T4/T5 neurons, in which TmY-ds plays a role in the enhancement of direction selectivity in T4/T5 neurons.

Pulmonary fibrosis (PF) is the pathological structure of incurable fibroproliferative lung diseases that are attributed to the repeated lung injury-caused failure of lung alveolar regeneration (LAR). Here, we report that repetitive lung damage results in a progressive accumulation of the transcriptional repressor SLUG in alveolar epithelial type II cells (AEC2s). The abnormal increased SLUG inhibits AEC2s from self-renewal and differentiation into alveolar epithelial type I cells (AEC1s). We found that the elevated SLUG represses the expression of the phosphate transporter SLC34A2 in AEC2s, which reduces intracellular phosphate and represses the phosphorylation of JNK and P38 MAPK, two critical kinases supporting LAR, leading to LAR failure. TRIB3, a stress sensor, interacts with the E3 ligase MDM2 to suppress SLUG degradation in AEC2s by impeding MDM2-catalyzed SLUG ubiquitination. Targeting SLUG degradation by disturbing the TRIB3/MDM2 interaction using a new synthetic staple peptide restores LAR capacity and exhibits potent therapeutic efficacy against experimental PF. Our study reveals a mechanism of the TRIB3-MDM2-SLUG-SLC34A2 axis causing the LAR failure in PF, which confers a potential strategy for treating patients with fibroproliferative lung diseases.

【Objective】 To analyze the distribution of unexpected antibodies in tumor patients retrospectively and explore the clinical significance. 【Methods】 Unexpected antibody screening was performed on inpatients with blood preparation and blood transfusion in our hospital from January 2004 to December 2022, with 1 176 cases tested positive, and the types of unexpected antibodies and distribution characteristics were statistically analyzed. 【Results】 Unexpected antibodies were screened in 1 176 cases, with the positive rate at 1.05% (1 176/111 483). The unexpected antibodies were mainly anti-E 16.33%(192/1 176), anti-M 7.99% (94/1 176), anti-Mur 5.70% (67/1 176) and anti-Lea 4.76% (56/1 176). Among the 1 176 cases, gastrointestinal tumors accounted for 27.99% (329/1 176), gynecological tumors accounted for 24.84% (292/1 176), respiratory tumors accounted for 16.67% (196/1 176) . 【Conclusion】 The influencing factors of unexpected antibodies in tumor patients were disease type, blood transfusion history and blood type. Therefore, it is necessary for clinical departments to carry out unexpected antibody screening and perform Rh blood type matched transfusion for tumor patients to avoid alloantibody production.

Chinese Medical Journal 2022;135(4):419-425
BACKGROUND:
Hypertension is associated with stroke-related mortality. However, the long-term association of blood pressure (BP) and the risk of stroke-related mortality and the influence path of BP on stroke-related death remain unknown. The current study aimed to estimate the long-term causal associations between BP and stroke-related mortality and the potential mediating and moderated mediating model of the associations.
METHODS:
This is a 45-year follow-up cohort study and a total of 1696 subjects were enrolled in 1976 and 1081 participants died by the latest follow-up in 2020. COX proportional hazard model was used to explore the associations of stroke-related death with baseline systolic blood pressure (SBP)/diastolic blood pressure (DBP) categories and BP changes from 1976 to 1994. The mediating and moderated mediating effects were performed to detect the possible influencing path from BP to stroke-related deaths. E value was calculated in the sensitivity analysis.
RESULTS:
Among 1696 participants, the average age was 44.38 ± 6.10 years, and 1124 were men (66.3%). After a 45-year follow-up, a total of 201 (11.9%) stroke-related deaths occurred. After the adjustment, the COX proportional hazard model showed that among the participants with SBP ≥ 160 mmHg or DBP ≥ 100 mmHg in 1976, the risk of stroke-related death increased by 217.5% (hazard ratio [HR] = 3.175, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 2.297-4.388), and the adjusted HRs were higher in male participants. Among the participants with hypertension in 1976 and 1994, the risk of stroke-related death increased by 110.4% (HR = 2.104, 95% CI: 1.632-2.713), and the adjusted HRs of the BP changes were higher in male participants. Body mass index (BMI) significantly mediated the association of SBP and stroke-related deaths and this mediating effect was moderated by gender.
CONCLUSIONS
In a 45-year follow-up, high BP and persistent hypertension are associated with stroke-related death, and these associations were even more pronounced in male participants. The paths of association are mediated by BMI and moderated by gender.
