Anterior communicating artery (ACoA) aneurysms may rarely lead to oculomotor nerve palsy. We present here interesting cases in which isolated unilateral adduction paresis mimicking internuclear ophthalmoplegia (INO) was one of the symptoms of suspicious impending ruptured aneurysm of the ACoA. Careful neurologic examination is crucial for early discrimination with INO and oculomotor palsy.

Objectives:
: The purpose of this study is to analyze Mental health literacy in General population.
Methods:
: We analyze the National Mental Health Literacy and Attitude Survey Data in 2021. We investigate 2016 general population and evaluate sociodemographic characteristics, Mental health literacy and stigma. We utilize 4 Case vignette which consist of Major Depressive Disorder, Schizophrenia, Alcohol Use Disorder and Suicidal Ideation.
Results:
: Schizophrenia (27.6%) have the lower disease recognition compare to Major Depressive Disorder (43.8%) and Alcohol Use Disorder (61.7%) (p<0.001). The stigma of Alcohol use disorder (52.8%) is highest and the stigma of Schizophrenia (47.2%) is the second highest (p<0.001).
Conclusions
: The education and overcoming the stigma in Mental health is needed in Schizophrenia and Alcohol Use Disorder.
3.Participation of Opioid Pathway in the Central Antinociceptive Effects of Eugenol

The aim of the present study was to evaluate the central antinociceptive effects of eugenol after intraperitoneal administration. Experiments were carried out using male Sprague-Dawley rats. Subcutaneous injection of 5% formalin-induced nociceptive behavioral responses was used as the pain model. Subcutaneous injection of 5% formalin significantly produced nociceptive responses by increasing the licking time during nociceptive behavior. Subsequent intraperitoneal injection of 100 mg/kg of eugenol led to a significant decrease in the licking time. However, low dose of eugenol (50 mg/kg) did not affect the nociceptive behavioral responses produced by subcutaneous injection of formalin. Intrathecal injection of 30 µg of naloxone, an opioid receptor antagonist, significantly blocked antinociceptive effects produced by intraperitoneal injection of eugenol. Neither intrathecal injection of methysergide (30 µg), a serotonin receptor antagonist nor phentolamine (30 µg), an α-adrenergic receptor antagonist influenced antinociceptive effects of eugenol, as compared to the vehicle treatment. These results suggest that central opioid pathway participates in mediating the antinociceptive effects of eugenol.

4.Two Cases of Serous Retinal Detachment Following Vitrectomy in Patients with Proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy.

PURPOSE: In the present study, 2 cases of serous retinal detachment in patients diagnosed with proliferative diabetic retinopathy after pars plana vitrectomy are reported. CASE SUMMARY: (Case 1) A 38-year-old female diagnosed with high-risk proliferative diabetic retinopathy underwent pars plana vitrectomy and cataract surgery due to intravitreal hemorrhage. One day after the operation, fundus photograph and optical coherence tomography (OCT) revealed serous retinal detachment. After ensuring that no retinal hole was present based on fundus examination, the patient was diagnosed with serous retinal detachment and antimicrobial and steroid eye drops were applied. After 1 week, subretinal fluid disappeared. (Case 2) A 63-year-old male diagnosed with proliferative diabetic retinopathy underwent pars plana vitrectomy due to right vitreous hemorrhage. On postoperative day 1, focal subretinal fluid under the macula was observed using OCT. Intravitreal triamcinolone injection was performed during surgery and steroid eye drops were applied. Subretinal fluid collection was absorbed 5 days postoperatively. CONCLUSIONS: Two cases of serous retinal detachment that occurred postoperatively in patients with diabetic retinopathy are reported. Serous retinal detachment was resolved after several days without specific management.

Periodic limb movements during sleep (PLMS) are frequently observed in the general population, although such movements may be associated with a variety of medical and neurological disorders. Human T-lymphotropic virus type I-associated myelopathy (HAM) is a rare progressive disease in which abnormalities are rarely observed on spinal images. We present the case of a 55-year-old woman with PLMS who was later diag-nosed with HAM. The current case indicates that HAM can be considered a possible cause of PLMS.

BACKGROUND: Conventional nerve conduction studies (NCS) are used in the diagnosis of carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). The median terminal latency index (TLI) and median residual latency (RL) are parameters calculated to identify abnormalities in distal segments of the median motor nerve. The objective of this study was to determine the sensitivity and specificity of TLI and RL together with NCS in the diagnosis of CTS. METHODS: This prospective study involved 83 hands of 47 patients with suspected CTS. Conventional NCS were performed using Oh's method. Control data were obtained from the 68 hands of 40 healthy volunteers. The diagnostic sensitivity and specificity of TLI and RL were calculated and compared with those of conventional NCS. We divided the CTS patients into four groups based on their electrophysiological severity, and compared the TLI and RL values between these groups. RESULTS: TLI and RL were 0.20+/-0.03 (mean+/-SD) and 3.62+/-0.90, respectively, in the patients, while the corresponding values, in the healthy control, were 0.29+/-0.03 and 2.08+/-0.30. The sensitivities of TLI and RL in diagnosing CTS were 75.9% and 86.3%, respectively. Compared with median motor terminal latency, the sensitivities of TLI and RL in diagnosing CTS was found to be higher. Moreover, the diagnostic sensitivities of TLI and RL were significant better for the severe group than for the mild and moderate severity group. CONCLUSIONS: We conclude that measuring TLI and RL of the median nerve may increase the sensitivity in diagnosing CTS and also provide information about its electrophysiological severity.

10.Arg460Cys Mutation in SPAST Gene in Patients with Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia.

Hereditary spastic paraplegia is a group of genetically and clinically heterogeneous neurodegenerative disorder characterized by progressive lower extremity weakness and spasticity. A 49-year-old man presented with progressive gait disturbance. Neurological examination showed spasticity, hyperreflexia in lower extremity and bilateral ankle clonus. He had a family history consistent with autosomal dominant inheritance. Gene testing revealed a heterozygous missense mutation (c.1378C>T [p.Arg460Cys]) in SPAST gene. We report a first Korean family with Arg460Cys mutation in SPAST gene.
