Objective To explore the pro-inflammation resolution and protective effects of reactive oxygen species (ROS)-responsive liposomes modified with a cardiac-targeted peptide and loaded with resolvin D1 (RvD1, C-LP-RvD1) on myocardial ischemia-reperfusion (MI/R) injury. Methods The C-LP-RvD1 nanoliposomes were constructed, characterized physically and chemically, and evaluated for in vitro release. Non-targeting peptide-modified drug-loaded liposomes (LP-RvD1) were served as controls. Apoptotic adult mouse cardiomyocytes (AMCMs) were used to verify in vitro targeted binding capacity of C-LP-RvD1. In MI/R mice models, the in vivo distribution and cardiac enrichment of C-LP-RvD1 were assessed. Levels of specialized pro-resolving mediator (SPM) and inflammatory factors in cardiac tissue homogenates and cell culture supernatants were measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Cardiac function and fibrosis remodeling were evaluated via echocardiography and Masson staining four weeks after treatment. Biosafety was evaluated in healthy mice injected by C-LP-RvD1. Results The C-LP-RvD1 exhibited good nanoscale uniformity and stability, with ROS-triggered accelerated release characteristics. In vitro experiments showed that C-LP-RvD1 had higher binding capacity to apoptotic AMCMs than LP-RvD1, with significantly higher SPM levels (P＜0.01) and lower inflammatory factor levels (P＜0.05). In vivo experiments indicated enhanced cardiac enrichment of C-LP-RvD1 in MI/R injured hearts, with higher local myocardial SPM levels and lower inflammatory factor levels compared to LP-RvD1 (P＜0.05). Four weeks after treatment, compared with LP-RvD1, the C-LP-RvD1 mice group showed improved cardiac function indicators and reduced ventricular fibrosis remodeling ratio (P＜0.05). Safety evaluation revealed no significant systemic inflammation, immunogenicity, or coagulation abnormalities in healthy mice, with liver and kidney function and major organ histology showing no notable damage. Conclusions C-LP-RvD1 improves effective delivery of RvD1 to MI/R injured hearts through injury-targeted enrichment and ROS-responsive release, promoting inflammation resolution and suppressing excessive inflammation, thereby improving cardiac function and reducing adverse remodeling, with favorable biosafety.

Objective To explore the dynamic changes of gut microbiota metabolites in septic patients following admission, as well as the correlations between these metabolites, the gut microbiota, and the prognosis of septic patients. Methods A total of 119 fecal samples were collected from 23 septic patients, 16 non-septic patients admitted to the Emergency Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and 20 healthy controls at Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University, from January to August 2019. The 16S rRNA gene sequencing technology was applied to analyze the microbiome, while ultra-high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-MS/MS) was used for metabolomics research. The R software was used to analyze the gut microbiota and metabolite data. Based on 180-day survival status after admission, the sepsis group was divided into the survival group (n＝15) and the death group (n＝8) to analyze differential metabolites between the two groups. Spearman correlation coefficients were used to assess correlations between gut microbiota and metabolites. Results In the first week of ICU stay, gut microbiota metabolites such as nicotinic acid, methylsuccinic acid, and glutaric acid were significantly lower in septic patients than in healthy controls (P＜0.05), whereas tryptophan, histidine, valine, and pyroglutamic acid were higher in septic patients (P＜0.05). The methylsuccinic acid and phenylacetic acid levels in the first week were lower in the death group than those in the survival group (P＜0.05), and the levels of methylsuccinic acid, phenylacetic acid, and glutaric acid were lower in the third week (P＜0.05). Further analysis indicated that methylsuccinic acid was closely associated with sepsis prognosis. These differential metabolites involved in metabolic pathways such as phenylalanine metabolism and β-alanine metabolism. Most differential amino acids were positively correlated with opportunistic pathogens but negatively correlated with normal gut microbiota. Conversely, metabolites such as nicotinic acid, phenylacetic acid, methylsuccinic acid, and glutaric acid were negatively correlated with opportunistic pathogens and positively correlated with normal gut microbiota. Conclusions Significant dynamic changes occur in gut microbiota metabolites in septic patients, with methylsuccinic acid, phenylacetic acid, and glutaric acid potentially playing important roles in determining patient prognosis.

ObjectiveTo investigate the changes in chemical components of Gardeniae Fructus（GF） before and after being charred， providing data support for research on the material basis of GF Carbonisata（GFC）. MethodsUltra-performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole-electrostatic field orbitrap high-resolution mass spectrometry（UPLC-Q-Orbitrap MS/MS） was used to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the chemical components in GF and GFC under positive and negative ion modes with Compound Discoverer 3.3 software and online database. Then， principal component analysis and partial least squares-discriminant analysis in SIMCA14.1 software were used to analyze the MS data of each sample. Based on the principle of variable importance in the projection（VIP） value>1， differential secondary and primary metabolites before and after carbonization were screened. In addition， MetaboAnalyst website was used for pathway enrichment of Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes（KEGG）， so as to provide a reference for clarifying the processing mechanism. ResultsA total of 185 components were identified， including 96 secondary metabolites and 89 primary metabolites. These components were classified into nine categories， primarily including iridoid glycosides， flavonoids， and terpenoids， their fragmentation pathways were also analyzed. Simultaneously， multivariate statistical analysis was performed on the secondary and primary metabolites， identifying 70 and 59 differential metabolites， respectively. The secondary metabolites were enriched in two metabolic pathways， including C5-branched dibasic acid metabolism and flavonoid and flavonol biosynthesis， while the primary differential metabolites were enriched in seven pathways such as linoleic acid metabolism and tyrosine metabolism. ConclusionThe chemical components of GF change significantly after carbonization， with a significant decrease in the contents of iridoid glycosides and terpenoids such as hydroxyisogeniposide， crocin Ⅱ， crocetin， and jasminoside B. while the contents of 4-hydroxycoumarin， geniposidic acid， gentiopicroside， and gardenoside methyl ester increase significantly. This change is presumed to be associated with the enhanced cooling and hemostatic effects of the processed products. The identified key components provide a basis for elucidating the material basis underlying the efficacy changes before and after carbonization.

Objective: To investigate the distribution characteristics of ABO and Rh blood group antigen phenotypes among blood donors in the Yantai, Shandong. Methods: Blood samples from 310 180 voluntary blood donors in Yantai collected from January 2019 to December 2023 were tested for ABO and Rh blood group antigens using standard serological methods. RhD-negative samples were further typed for C, c, E, and e antigens. Population genetic analysis of blood groups was performed: allele frequencies were inferred from ABO phenotypes, and Rh allele/haplotype frequencies were estimated based on the proportion of RhD-negative donors and CcEe antigen typing, followed by Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium testing. Results: The phenotypic distribution frequency of ABO blood groups was B(32.72%)>O(28.93%)>A(27.65%)>AB(10.70%). The inferred allele frequencies were r(53.74%)>q(24.78%)>p(21.48%), consistent with Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium (P>0.05). A total of 1 872 Rh-negative donors (0.603%) were identified. The most common Rh phenotypes were ccdee (59.56%) and Ccdee (30.18%). The distribution of Rh antigen phenotypes deviated significantly from Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium (χ =37.15, P<0.001), with the cde haplotype showing the highest frequency. There was no statistically significant difference in ABO blood group distribution between RhD-positive and RhD-negative donors (P>0.05). Conclusion: The ABO blood group distribution among voluntary blood donors in Yantai is generally stable and consistent with population genetic equilibrium, whereas the Rh antigen phenotype distribution deviates from equilibrium, indicating potential underlying genetic structural differences.

Objective: To explore the application effectiveness of healthcare failure mode and effect analysis (HFMEA) in optimizing intelligent blood logistics transport pathways for safety assurance. Methods: Data from 1 851 cases of intelligent blood logistics transport were collected between September 2023 and March 2025. Based on the implementation phases of HFMEA measures, the cases were divided into a control group (n=120), observation group 1 (n=219), and observation group 2 (n=1 512). Through systematic analysis of the transport processes, hazard scoring and decision tree analysis were conducted for each process, and phased optimization measures were implemented for high-risk failure modes. Results: The transport duration of intelligent blood logistics was 35.5 (20.8, 71.1) min in the control group, 25.1 (10.9, 40.7) min in observation group 1, and 9.9 (4.2, 44.5) min in observation group 2. Observation group 2 exhibited significantly shorter transport time compared to both observation group 1 and the control group, with statistically significant differences between groups (P<0.000 1). Conclusion: The implementation of HFMEA-driven measures significantly reduced intelligent blood logistics transport duration, thereby fostering the evolution of smart hospital ecosystems while enhancing healthcare service quality and operational efficiency.

AIM: To investigate the diagnostic and prognostic value of differential expression of Cyclin D1 and p53 in eyelid tumors.METHODS: This retrospective study enrolled patients who underwent surgical resection for eyelid tumors at our hospital between March 2018 and March 2023. Participants were categorized into benign and malignant groups based on tumor characteristics. Clinical data were collected. Genetic data for eyelid tumors were obtained from the GEO database, and differential gene analysis, including volcano plot visualization and KEGG pathway enrichment analysis, was performed using the Sangerbox 3.0 platform. Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression levels of Cyclin D1, p53, and BAX in tissue samples. Correlations with clinical features were analyzed using Spearman analysis, and prognostic factors were identified via Logistic regression analysis.RESULTS: This study included 69 patients with eyelid tumors(78 eyes), categorized into a benign group(37 patients, 41 eyes)and a malignant group(32 patients, 37 eyes)based on tumor characteristics. There were significant differences between the two groups in histological subtype, TNM staging, vascular invasion, differentiation status, and local infiltration(all P<0.05). Among benign tumors: pigmented nevi in 11 eyes(27%), hemangiomas in 9 eyes(22%), squamous cell papillomas in 5 eyes(12%), epidermoid cysts in 5 eyes(12%), seborrheic keratoses in 4 eyes(10%), neurofibromas in 3 eyes(7%), and both calcifying epithelioma and xanthelasma in 2 eyes each(5%); among malignant tumors: basal cell carcinoma in 18 eyes(49%), meibomian gland carcinoma in 8 eyes(22%), squamous cell carcinoma in 5 eyes(14%), sebaceous gland carcinoma in 4 eyes(11%), lymphoma and malignant melanoma each in 1 eye(3%). At the follow-up cutoff date of March 2025, the 2-year survival rate in the benign group(95%)was significantly higher than that in the malignant group(78%; P<0.05). Bioinformatics analysis identified 4 103 differentially expressed genes, including Cyclin D1, p53, and BAX, which were predominantly involved in pathways such as the p53 signaling pathway and calcium-related signaling. Spearman analysis revealed that local invasion(rs=0.71, P<0.05)and TNM stage(rs=0.73, P<0.05)correlated with Cyclin D1 expression; local invasion(rs=0.76, P<0.05)and histological subtype(rs=0.65, P<0.05)correlated with p53 expression. Logistic regression results indicated that Cyclin D1, p53, TNM staging, and local invasion were prognostic risk factors. ROC curve analysis demonstrated that the combined detection of these four indicators had the highest predictive value for prognosis(AUC=0.83).CONCLUSION: High expression of cyclin D1 and p53 serves as molecular markers for distinguishing benign from malignant eyelid tumors and assessing prognosis. Combined detection of these markers with TNM staging and local invasion demonstrates high predictive value for prognosis.

AIM: To investigate the clinical efficacy of seamless corneal limbal stem cell transplantation combined with bandage soft contact lens in the treatment of pterygium.METHODS: A retrospective collection was conducted on patients with pterygium admitted to the hospital from January 2020 to January 2025. They were divided into two groups according to different treatment methods. Group A received seamless corneal limbal stem cell transplantation surgery combined with bandage soft contact lens, while group B received simple seamless corneal limbal stem cell transplantation surgery. The complete repair and healing of corneal epithelium, ocular comfort and corneal refractive status at different time points after surgery were compared between the two groups, and the occurrence of postoperative complications in the two groups was recorded.RESULTS: This study included 120 cases(120 eyes)of patients with pterygium, including 60 cases(60 eyes)in the group A and 60 cases(60 eyes)in the group B. Group A had an age of 51.88±5.22 years, with 33 males and 27 females. Group B had an age of 52.48±6.00 years, with 30 males and 30 females. The complete repair and healing rate of corneal epithelium in the group A was higher than that in the group B at 1 and 2 wk after surgery(all P<0.05). At 1 and 2 wk after surgery, the scores of the eye comfort assessment table in both groups decreased compared to the day of surgery, and the group A was lower than the group B at all time points(all P<0.05). At 1 and 3 mo after surgery, the surface asymmetry index(SAI), corneal astigmatism(CA), and corneal surface regularity index(SRI)of the corneal topography in both groups decreased compared to preoperative values, and the group A was lower than the group B at all time points(all P<0.05). The incidence of postoperative complications in the group A was slightly lower than that in the group B, but the difference was not statistically significant(all P>0.05).CONCLUSION: The seamless corneal limbal stem cell transplantation surgery combined with bandage soft contact lens treatment can promote postoperative corneal epithelial healing in patients with pterygium, increase short-term eye comfort after surgery, improve short-term corneal refractive status after surgery, and reduce the occurrence of postoperative complications to a certain extent.

Objective To explore the predictive effect of serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 [25(OH)D3] and blood lipid metabolism indexes on the occurrence of osteoporosis in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Methods Totally 98 patients with T2DM in the hospital from January 2022 to January 2024 were classified into osteoporosis group (38 cases) and non-osteoporosis group (60 cases) by means of concurrent osteoporosis status. The levels of serum 25(OH)D3 and blood lipid metabolism indexes [high density lipoprotein (HDL), total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), low density lipoprotein (LDL), VLDL] were measured in study subjects. The association of serum 25(OH)D3 and blood lipid metabolism indexes with osteoporosis was explored by Logistic regression analysis. The predictive value of serum 25(OH)D3 and blood lipid metabolism indexes on osteoporosis was analyzed by receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC). Results Serum 25(OH)D3 and HDL levels in the osteoporosis group were lower while TG and LDL levels were higher than those in the non-osteoporosis group (P<0.05). The differences in the levels of TC and VLDL were insignificant between groups (P>0.05). After logistic regression analysis, the levels of serum 25(OH)D3, HDL, TG and LDL were closely related to the occurrence of osteoporosis (P<0.05). ROC curve indicated that the area under the curve (AUC), sensitivity and specificity of combined prediction of osteoporosis by serum 25(OH)D3, HDL, TG, and LDL were 0.943, 92.11% and 85.00%, and the efficiency of combined prediction was better than that of each index alone (P<0.05). Conclusion The levels of serum 25(OH)D3, HDL, TG and LDL in T2DM are closely related to osteoporosis. Early combined monitoring of the indicators can provide reference value for clinical prediction of osteoporosis occurrence in patients with T2DM.

Liver cancer, one of the most common primary malignancies in humans, is a malignant tumor characterized by multifactorial induction, polygenic involvement, and intricate molecular mechanisms. This disease is characterized by its treatment challenges and poor prognosis, which are closely related to its unique tumor microenvironment composition. The tumor microenvironment of liver cancer is a dynamic ecosystem composed of heterogeneous cellular populations, soluble cytokines, and remodeled extracellular matrix. In recent years, significant progress has been made in the study of the tumor microenvironment of liver cancer, revealed an important role in the occurrence, development, and treatment of liver cancer. The key regulatory elements of the tumor microenvironment in liver cancer were systematically summarized, such as activation of hepatic stellate cells, dysfunction of immune cells, abnormalities of platelet, and remodeling of the extracellular matrix, which provided theoretical foundations for prevention and treatment strategies against liver cancer.

Military hospital preparation rooms are an important part of military medical institutions and have played an important role in military pharmacy support in history. However, with the development of science and technology, the improvement of domestic pharmaceutical production and innovation capabilities, and the adjustment of the military establishment and system, the establishment structure, functional tasks, and business forms of military medical institutions have undergone significant changes. The historical evolution of military preparation rooms were reviewed, the current situation were analyzed and the development challenges faced were identified. It was also explored how military hospital preparation rooms, as an important link in military pharmaceutical support, can face new situations and adapt to new forms of warfare. By enhancing the military efficiency of preparation rooms, it could play a greater role in improving medical support capabilities and enhancing the combat effectiveness of troops.
