Objective　To investigate the epidemiological characteristics and trends of other infectious diarrhea in Yunnan Province, and to provide a scientific basis for the development of more targeted prevention and control strategies. Methods　A descriptive epidemiological analysis was conducted on data of other infectious diarrhea diseases in Yunnan Province from 2005 to 2022 using Joinpoint Regression Program (JRP) 4.9.1.0 for regression statistical analysis of case numbers, and GeoDa 1.14.0.0 for spatial autocorrelation analysis of case distribution. Results　From 2005 to 2022, a total of 301 083 cases of other infectious diarrhea were reported in Yunnan Province, with an average annual reported incidence rate of 35.98/100 000; cases were predominantly among children in the diaspora (74.51%); the incidence rate of males (39.47/100 000) was higher than that of females (32.23/100 000); the primary age group affected was ≤3 years of age (70.84%); seasonal trend of incidence was significant, with a bimodal distribution; aetiologic diagnosis was dominated by viral infections (99.06%); the top three regions with the highest annual average incidence rates were Kunming City (83.27/100 000), Yuxi City (67.70/100 000), and Xishuangbanna Prefecture (63.31/100 000); and the incidence of the disease exhibited clear spatial clustering, with 17 "hot spot" regions detected (distributed in Kunming City, Yuxi City and Chuxiong Prefecture) and 22 “cold spot” areas (distributed in Dali Prefecture and Lincang City). The overall reported incidence rate increased from 2005 to 2022. Both male and female reported incidence rates decreased from 2019 to 2022; the incidence rates for all age groups rose from 2005 to 2019, with significant declines in the 0-<1 and 1-<2 age groups from 2019 to 2022. Seven cities (prefectures) including Baoshan City, Dali Prefecture, Diqing Prefecture, Honghe Prefecture, Lijiang City, Nujiang Prefecture, and Zhaotong City showed an overall increasing trend. Conclusion　During 2005-2022, other infectious diarrheal diseases epidemic situations in Yunnan Province presented obvious demographic, seasonal, and spatial clustering characteristics, with obvious changes in epidemiological trends, and the overall morbidity rate is still at a high level. All prefectures (cities) should grasp the local epidemiological trends, explore the causes and mechanisms of clustering, and take further effective preventive and control measures.

Abstract: Objective To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of outbreaks of infectious diseases in schools in Yunnan Province from 2004 to 2021, to provide a scientific basis for prevention and control strategies. Methods The data on outbreaks of infectious diseases in schools in Yunnan Province from 2004 to 2021 from the National Emergency Public Health Events Information Management System and on-site epidemiological surveys were collected and analyzed using descriptive epidemiology method. Results From 2004 to 2021, a total of 1 806 outbreaks of infectious diseases in schools in Yunnan Province was reported. The majority of the reports were of general events (90.25%), affecting 2 183 493 people with reported cases numbering 94 643 and 13 deaths. The main modes of transmission were respiratory infectious diseases. The top three reported diseases were chickenpox (588), influenza (300) and hand-foot-and-mouth disease (267), accounting for 64.0% of the total reported events. The events were distributed in 121 counties and districts throughout the province, concentrated in March–June and September–January of the following year. The main outbreaks were of chickenpox, with an average duration of 19 days. Most public health emergencies (1 386) occurred in kindergartens and primary schools, and the median time to discover the outbreak was 7 days (ranging from 4 to 13 days). Conclusions Respiratory infectious diseases are the main type of outbreak of infectious diseases in schools in Yunnan Province. Kindergartens and primary schools are the focus of prevention and control. Early reporting and effective handling will help control the spread of events and reduce hazards. At the same time, the prevention and control of school infectious diseases and the emergency drill of the plan during peak periods need to be particularly strengthened.

Objective:To evaluate the clinical effect of self-made Wenfei-Quyu-Huatan Decoction combined with conventional western medicine in the treatment of acute attack of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Methods:A total of 103 patients with acute attack of COPD who were admitted to our hospital from January 2018 to April 2019 were divided into control group (51 cases) and the intervention group (52 cases) according to the random number table method. The control group was treated with conventional western medicine, and the intervention group was treated with self-made Wenfei-Quyu-Huatan Decoction based on control group. Both groups were treated for 14 days. TCM syndrome scores were recorded before and after the treatment, the FVC, FEV1 and FEV1/FVC were detected by pulmonary function meter, the content of TNF-α, IL-8 and CRP in serum were detected by ELISA, and adverse reactions during the treatment were recorded and clinical efficacy was evaluated. Results:The total effective rate was 88.5% (46/52) in the intervention group and 70.6% (36/51) in the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant ( χ2=5.067, P=0.024). After the treatment, the TCM syndrome score of the intervention group was significantly lower than the control group (7.3 ± 0.9 vs. 12.9 ± 1.2; t=27.979, P<0.01); FVC (2.69 ± 0.35 L vs. 2.12 ± 0.24 L, t=9.621), FEV1 (1.58 ± 0.22 L vs. 1.13 ± 0.18 L, t=11.349) and FEV1/FVC (0.59 ± 0.07 vs. 0.53 ± 0.08, t=4.053) in the intervention group were significantly higher than the control group ( P<0.01); the serum IL-8 (51.48 ± 6.27 ng/L vs. 69.27 ± 7.32 ng/L, t=13.255), CRP (2.12 ± 0.46 mg/L vs. 3.51 ± 0.53 mg/L, t=14.223) and TNF-α (41.38 ± 6.22 ng/L vs. 52.24 ± 7.29 ng/L, t=8.139) level were significantly lower than the control group ( P<0.01). During the treatment, the incidence of adverse reactions was 11.8% (6/51) in the control group and 15.4% (8/52) in the intervention group, and there was no significant difference between the two groups ( χ2=0.321, P=0.571). Conclusions:The self-made Wenfei-Quyu-Huatan Decoction combined with the conventional western medicine can improve the clinical symptoms, lung function and reduce the level of inflammatory cytokines in patients with COPD acute attack.

Objective To understand the epidemic characteristics of different virus types of hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) in Zhaotong City, and provide guidance and recommendations for the prevention and control of HFMD, and to analyze seasonal characteristics of different virus types of HFMD in Zhaotong City. Methods The epidemiological characteristics of different virus types of HFMD in Zhaotong City from 2014 to 2017 were analyzed using the concentration and circular distribution methods. Results The main pathogens detected were EV71, Cox A16 and other enteroviruses, which were 216, 182, and 294, respectively, accounting for 57.45%, 73.44%, and 67.11%. M was 0.86, indicating that EV71 had strong seasonality. The Rayleigh test showed statistically significant differences (Z = 99.53, P <0.001). ā = 157 °, the peak day of onset was May 10, similar to untyped (May 16), the peak period was April 21-June 1, and the epidemic period was April 1-June 21. Conclusion According to the incubation period of hand-foot-mouth disease and the period of time during which the vaccine develops protective effects, vaccination of hand-foot-mouth disease vaccine at the peak period has a good guiding significance for the timeliness and pertinence of vaccination.

Objective To observe the characteristics of bone development and body development in 3-7 years old children with cerebral palsy. Methods 50 girls and 50 boys aged 3-7 years with cerebral palsy were included. Their height, weight, length of right and left upper extremities, and both hands bone age were measured by trained professionals. Results Their bone ages of both hands were 1 year younger than actual age (P<0.05), and there was no significant difference between right and left hand bone age (P>0.05). Their height growth was in line with the normal children, while the weight growth was a little different. Both sides of upper limbs growed synchronously, and slowed down with the time. There was no significant difference in both sides (P>0.05). Conclusion The bone development of children with cerebral palsy lags behind the life age. Their height growth is close to normal children. The development shows no no significant lateral dominance.
