Objective: To investigate the prevalence levels and trends of overweight and obesity among adult residents in Zhejiang Province from 2015 to 2023, so as to provide a basis for developing regional weight management strategies. Methods: Permanent residents aged ≥18 years from Zhejiang Province who participated in the China Chronic Disease and Risk Factor Surveillance Project in 2015, 2018, and 2023 were selected as survey subjects. Data on sociodemographic information, height, weight and waist circumference were collected through questionnaire surveys and physical examinations. The prevalence of overweight, obesity, and central obesity were calculated and standardized using data from the Seventh National Population Census of Zhejiang Province in 2020. The Cochran-Armitage trend test was employed to analyze the trends in prevalence of overweight, obesity, and central obesity across different genders, ages and regions. Results: A total of 23 902 individuals were surveyed, comprising 10 985 males (45.96%) and 12 917 females (54.04%). Participants were aged ≥60 years, with 13 088 individuals accounting for 54.76%. There were 9 388 urban residents (39.28%) and 14 514 rural residents (60.72%). The standardized prevalence of overweight among residents increased from 30.05% in 2015 to 33.98% in 2023, the standardized prevalence of obesity increased from 7.67% to 15.22%, and the standardized prevalence of central obesity increased from 22.81% to 33.82%, all showed upward trends (all P<0.05). In 2015, 2018, and 2023, the standardized prevalence of overweight was higher in males than in females. In 2018 and 2023, the standardized prevalence of obesity and central obesity were higher in males than in females (all P<0.05). From 2015 to 2023, the standardized prevalence of overweight, obesity, and central obesity among both males and females showed upward trends (all P<0.05). In 2015, 2018 and 2023, the prevalence of central obesity showed an increasing trend with age (all P<0.05). From 2015 to 2023, upward trends were observed in the prevalence of overweight, obesity, and central obesity among residents aged 18-<45 years and aged ≥60 years, as well as in the prevalence of obesity and central obesity among residents aged 45-<60 years (all P<0.05). In 2015, 2018 and 2023, the standardized prevalence of overweight obesity were higher in urban areas than in rural areas, while the standardized prevalence of central obesity was lower in urban areas (all P<0.05). From 2015 to 2023, the standardized prevalence of overweight, obesity, and central obesity among both urban and rural areas showed upward trends (all P<0.05). Conclusion From 2015 to 2023, the prevalence of overweight, obesity, and central obesity among adult residents in Zhejiang Province showed increasing trends, with variations in prevalence levels and trends observed across genders, ages, and urban / rural areas.

Objective:To investigate the changes of blood glucose and blood lipid in gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) patients with different insulin sensitivity during pregnancy and the effect of non-drug intervention.Methods:Data of 240 pregnant women with GDM and 240 healthy pregnant women were collected from July 1 to September 1, 2023 in Shijing People′s Hospital in Baiyun District and other five hospital. The insulin sensitivity index (ISI) was calculated by homeostasis model assessment 2(HOMA2) model, according to the 25th percentile of ISI of normal pregnant women, GDM patients were divided into insulin sensitive group (group A) and insulin sensitive deficiency group (group B), and group A and group B were divided into two groups according to 36-week blood glucose control: group A1 with good blood glucose control (group A1 and group B1) and group A2 with bad blood glucose control (group A2 and group B2). The age, body mass index (BMI) before pregnancy, fasting plasma glucose (FPG), blood lipids and blood glycated hemoglobin (HbA 1c ) in the first trimester, blood glucose and blood lipids in the second trimester were compared at the 28th, 32nd and 36th weeks of gestation, the number of cases, blood glucose, blood lipids and non-drug intervention were measured. Results:There were 166 cases in group A and 74 cases in group B. Blood glucose and blood lipid were normal in early pregnancy. There was no significant difference in blood glucose between group A and group B during the second trimester. The levels of blood lipids were significantly higher than those during the first trimester, and the levels of triglyceride (TG) and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) were significantly higher than those during the first trimester. The number of pregnant women in group A1 was significantly more than that in group A2 in the third trimester ( P = 0.01), and the number of pregnant women in group B1 was more than that in group B2 at 28 weeks ( P = 0.01). At 32 weeks, the number of pregnant women in group B1 and group B2 was similar ( P = 0.31). At 36 weeks, the number of pregnant women in group B1 was significantly lower than that in group B2 ( P = 0.01). In the third trimester of pregnancy, the levels of blood glucose in group B2 were higher than those in group A2 ( P<0.05). The levels of TG and LDL-C in group A2 and group B2 were higher than those in group A1 and group B1 respectively, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) was lower than that in group A1 and group B1( P<0.05), and there was no significant difference in TC between group A2 and group A1 at 28 and 32 weeks ( P>0.05), but it was significantly higher at 36 weeks ( P = 0.01). In the third trimester of pregnancy, diet control was the most common (91.7%, 87.7%, 81.6%, respectively) in group A ( P>0.05). The proportions of diet-only and diet-plus exercise interventions were similar in group B1 at 28 weeks and 32 weeks (52.9% vs. 47.1%, 45.7% vs. 54.3%)( P = 0.072, 0.113). At the 36 weeks, the main intervention was diet combined with exercise (73.3%). In group B2, dietary intervention (69.6%, 71.8%, 69.5%) was the main cause of poor control of blood glucose. Conclusions:In GDM patients with insulin sensitivity deficiency, the blood glucose and blood lipids in the second trimester are obviously increased, and the abnormality in the third trimester is even greater.

Objective:To understand the epidemiological characteristics of metabolic syndrome(MetS) among adult residents in Zhejiang Province and compare three diagnostic criteria in adult residents.Methods:In this cross-sectisnal study participants were randomly chosen using multi-stage stratified cluster sampling method from 10 national chronic disease risk factor monitoring sites in Zhejiang Province of the 2018 China Chronic Disease and Risk Factors Surveillance Project. Demographics and information on chronic disease prevalence were obtained through questionnaire, physical measurements, and laboratory. After complex weighting of the data, an analysis and comparison of the prevalence of MetS under different diagnostic criteria among adult residents in Zhejiang Province was conducted.Results:A total of 5 369 adult residents were included, 2 411 males and 2 958 females. The prevalence of MetS using JIS, CDS and IDF diagnostic criteria was 33.62%, 25.32%, and 24.25%, respectively. The consistency rate between IDF and JIS was the highest(89.11%) and the Kappa value was 0.768( P<0.001). The consistency rate between IDF and CDS diagnostic criteria was 84.53%, and the Kappa value was 0.631( P<0.001). The consistency rate between JIS and CDS was the lowest(83.17%), and the Kappa value was 0.621( P<0.001). Under CDS diagnostic criteria, the prevalence of MetS was associated to gender, marital status, smoking and drinking. Conclusion:The prevalence of MetS is at a relatively high level among adult residents in Zhejiang province. The consistency between IDF and JIS diagnostic criteria is the highest. Screening for MetS should be strengthened to detect high-risk individuals early, reduce the risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and diabetes, and improve the quality of life of residents.

Objective: To investigation the correlation between sleep duration and hypertension among adults in Zhejiang Province, and to provide scientific evidence for the prevention and control of hypertension. Methods: Permanent residents at age of 18 years and older were enrolled from 10 surveillance sites for risk factors of chronic diseases included in the 2018 China Chronic Diseases and Risk Factors Surveillance Program. Subjects' demographic characteristics, smoking, alcohol consumption, sleep duration and development of hypertension were collected, and following complex weighting calculations, the association between sleep duration and hypertension were examined using a multivariable logistic regression model. Results: Totally 5 770 adults were included, including 2 952 men (50.72%) and 3 178 women (49.28%), and the prevalence of hypertension was 29.39% (2 702 cases). There were 712 (8.37%), 1 077 (18.77%), 1 582 (28.68%), 1 717 (34.60%) and 682 adults (9.57%) with sleep duration of <6 h/d, 6 to 7 h/d, 7 to 8 h/d, 8 to 9 h/d and 9 h/d and longer, respectively. Taking the sleep duration of 7 to 8 h/d as a reference, multivariable logistic regression analysis identified a significant association between sleep duration of <6 h/d and the risk of hypertension (OR=1.709, 95%CI: 1.184-2.466), a significant association between sleep duration of 9 h/d and longer and the risk of hypertension (OR=1.369, 95%CI: 1.006-1.862) in men, significant associations between sleep duration of <6 h/d (OR=2.174, 95%CI: 1.528-3.093) and 6 to 7 h/d (OR=1.412, 95%CI: 1.078-1.850) and the risk of hypertension in women, and significant associations between sleep duration of <6 h/d (OR=3.095, 95%CI: 1.025-9.347) and 6 to 7 h/d (OR=2.046, 95%CI: 1.156-3.622) and the risk of hypertension in residents at ages of 18 to 44 years. Conclusions Short sleep duration may increase the risk of hypertension among adults at ages of 18 to 44 years in Zhejiang Province. Short sleep duration may increase the risk of hypertension in women and long sleep duration may increase the risk of hypertension in men.

Objective : To explore the relationship between alcohol consumption and hypertension in adults of Zhejiang Province, so as to provide scientific evidence for the prevention and control of hypertension. Methods: Data were collected from 10 national surveillance sites in Zhejiang Province in the 2018 China Chronic Disease and Risk Factors Surveillance. The multivariate logistic regression model was used to explore the relationship between alcohol consumption and hypertension in adults of Zhejiang Province. Results : Among 5 908 people included, 2 641 were males, accounting for 50.38%; and 3 267 were females, accounting for 49.62%. There were 2 721 cases of hypertension ( 28.54% ). The number of the cases with no, light and excessive alcohol consumption was 3 945, 1 117 and 846, accounting for 66.28%, 23.65% and 10.07%, respectively, after complex sampling weighting. The results of the multivariate logistic regression model showed that compared with those with no alcohol consumption, the adults with excessive alcohol consumption had higher risk of hypertension ( OR=2.126, 95%CI: 1.649-2.741 ); men with light ( OR=1.875, 95%CI: 1.075-3.270 ) and excessive alcohol consumption ( OR=2.752, 95%CI: 2.021-3.748 ) had higher risk of hypertension; the 18-<45-year-old adults with light ( OR=2.441, 95%CI: 1.171-5.087 ) and excessive alcohol consumption ( OR=3.368, 95%CI: 1.609-7.049 ), and the ≥60-year-old adults with excessive alcohol consumption ( OR=1.632, 95%CI: 1.174-2.269 ) had higher risk of hypertension. Conclusions Light and excessive alcohol consumption are associated with hypertension in Zhejiang adults. The association is stronger between excessive alcohol consumption and hypertension than between light alcohol consumption and hypertension.

Objective To study the influence of diet and behavior related factors on the peripheral blood triglyceride levels in adults,through a cross-sectional survey.Methods The current study included 13 434 subjects without histories of major chronic diseases from a population-based cross-sectional survey:the 2010 Metabolic Syndrome Survey in Zhejiang Province.A generalized linear model was used to investigate the influence of diet/behavior-related factors on the peripheral blood triglyceride levels.Results Mean TG of the sample population appeared as (1.36± 1.18) mmol/L.The proportions of elevated TG and marginally elevated TG were 10.3％ and 11.0％ respectively,with statistically significant difference seen between males and females (x2=44.135,P＜0.001).In this sampled population,the daily intake of cooking oil was exceeding the recommendation levels by over 50％ while the intake of fruit,milk,nuts and physical exercise were much below the recommendation.There were statistically significant differences between smoking,alcohol-intake,meat,fruit and water intake in male population from this study.However,in females,the intake of aquatic product and physical exercise showed statistically significant differences.After controlling for other variables,factors as age,drinking,staple food and aquatic products showed positive influence on TG,while milk presented negative influence on TG.Through interaction analysis,fruit and meat intake in males and staple food in females showed positive influence on TG,when compared to the reference group.Conclusion Hyperglyceridemia appeared as one of the major metabolic abnormities in Zhejiang province.Programs on monitoring the alcohol,staple food and meat intake should be priority on intervention,in the communities.

Objective To observe the clinical features of different pathological borderline ovarian tumors and evaluate its prog-nostic factors .Methods The clinical data of 60 patients were retrospectively analyzed .Based on different histological types ,these patients were divided into serous borderline ovarian tumors group and mucins borderline ovarian tumors group .The clinical features was compared .Results 60 cases of epithelial borderline ovarian tumors contained 22(36 .7% ) serous borderline ovarian tumors and 34(56 .6% ) mucins borderline ovarian tumors .The tumor size ,ratio of bi-laterality ,multi-locular cyst ,papillary patterns ,level of CA-125 or CA19-9 had significant differences between the two groups(P<0 .05) .56 patients were followed up ,the 5-year overall survival and disease-free survival were 96 .8% and 94 .2% ,respectively .Univariate analysis of 5 years disease-free survival showed that ,age ,tumor size ,histological types ,menopause ,operation types ,chemotherapy and level of CA-125 or CA19-9 were irrelevant to prognosis of patients ,and FIGO stage ,micro-invasion ,peritoneal implants were relevant factors to prognosis .Multivariate analyses showed that ,the patients with low stage of FIGO (OR=0 .348 ,P<0 .05) had better prognosis ,while the patients with micro-inva-sion(OR= 8 .458 ,P< 0 .05) ,peritoneal implants (OR= 7 .109 ,P< 0 .05) had worse prognosis .Conclusion Borderline ovarian tumors frequently affected younger patients and has an excellent prognosis .there were some different clinical characteristics be-tween serous borderline ovarian tumors and mucins borderline ovarian tumors .All patients with borderline ovarian tumors should follow-up ,especially these who had high risks as micro-invasion ,peritoneal implants and high FIGO stage .

Objective To access the prevalence of type 2 diabetes mellitus ( T2DM) and its associated risk factors among adults with obesity in Zhejiang province. Methods The enrolled subjects were selected among local residents aged≥18 years with body mass index≥28 kg/m2 from 15 counties by multi stage stratified cluster random sampling from July to November, 2010. Each participant was required to attend complete questionnaire, physical examination, and testing overnight fasting blood specimen. Results A total of 1 351 residents were enrolled, including 613 males and 738 females. The prevalence of T2DM in adult population with obesity was 15. 03%, being 14. 03% in male, and 15. 85% in female;and that in urban area was 16. 64%, and in rural area was 13. 93%. Data from multivariable logistic regression showed that factors such as ageing (OR=1. 473, 95% CI 1. 243-1. 747), a family history of T2DM(OR=8. 945, 95% CI 5. 481-14. 598), staple food intake (OR=1. 185, 95% CI 1. 017-1. 380), triglyceride(≥1. 7 mmol/L, OR=1. 542, 95%CI 1. 066-2. 232) were risk factors of T2DM;while annual income(OR=0. 695, 95%CI 0. 544-0. 888), and milk intake(OR=0. 750, 95%CI 0. 567-0. 993) were shown as protective factors. Conclusion The prevalence of T2DM in adults with obesity was raised, ageing, a family history of T2DM, staple food intake, and dyslipidemia appeared to be major risk factors for T2DM.
