Objective: To investigate the correlation between color parameters (L*, a*, b*, Eab*) and the contents of reducing sugars, total polysaccharides, total oligosaccharides, as well as four saccharides (fructose, glucose, sucrose, and kestose) during the nine cycles of steaming and sun-drying processing of Polygonatum kingianum, and to preliminarily explore the optimal processing duration.
Methods: The color changes were objectively evaluated using a colorimeter. The anthrone-sulfuric acid method was employed to determine total polysaccharides and oligosaccharides. The 3,5-dinitrosalicylic acid (DNS) colorimetric method was used to measure total reducing sugar content. High-performance liquid chromatography coupled with charged aerosol detection (HPLC-CAD) was applied for quantitative analysis of fructose, glucose, sucrose, and kestose. Multivariate statistical analysis was conducted to assess samples from different processing stages.
Results: Significant variations in color and component contents were observed across processing stages. The herbal pieces progressively darkened with increased processing cycles: brightness (L*) and total color difference (Eab*) initially decreased then stabilized, while a* (red-green) and b* (yellow-blue) values first increased then declined. Total polysaccharides and oligosaccharides showed overall decreasing trends, whereas reducing sugars initially increased before stabilizing. Fructose and glucose levels rose continuously, while sucrose and kestose decreased progressively, becoming undetectable after five cycles.
Conclusion: The chromatic alteration and saccharide composition of P. kingianum showed significant correlation with processing duration. Both total color difference (Eab*) and reducing sugar content stabilized after four processing cycles (12 hours), suggesting that four cycles of steaming and sun-drying may represent the optimal processing duration.

Objective: To investigate the correlation between the color parameters (L*, a*, b*, Eab* values) of Polygoni Multiflori Radix Praeparata powder prepared by different processing techniques and the contents of 2,3,5,4’-tetrahydroxystilbene-2-O-β-D-glucopyranoside, emodin, physcion, emodin-8-O-β-D-glucopyranoside, physcion-8-O-β-D-glucopyranoside.
Methods: The L*, a*, b* and Eab* values of Polygoni Multiflori Radix Praeparata powder prepared by different processing techniques were determined by spectrophotometer, and the contents of the five components were determined by high performance liquid chromatography. Secondly, SPSS 26.0 software and Simca 14.1 software were used to analyze the correlation.
Results: Through the hierarchical cluster analysis (HCA), it was found that the steamed samples and black bean steamed samples could be obviously divided into two categories: raw products and processed products. The processed products could be further divided into 2-8 h and 12-48 h. Pearson correlation analysis showed that the content of stilbene glycoside was significantly positively correlated with L*, a* and b* values (P<0.01). The a* value was significantly positively correlated with the content of emodin and physcion (P<0.01). Emodin-8-O-β-D-glucoside was positively correlated with L* value and b* value, while physcion-8-O-β-D-glucoside was negatively correlated with a* value. Partial least squares discriminant analysis (PLS) showed that 2,3,5,4’-tetrahydroxystilbene-2-O-β-D-glucoside (VIP=1.69) and emodin-8-O-β-D-glucoside (VIP=1.06) were the key variables affecting chromaticity characteristics (P<0.01).
Conclusion: The three processes of steaming, black bean steaming and black bean stewing are consistent in composition transformation and chromaticity variation, and stilbene glycoside can be used as a specific index component to characterize the processed color. Chromatic parameters can effectively reflect the processing progression and serve as quality monitoring indicators during production.

To address the constrains imposed by insufficient hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and high glutathione (GSH) expression in tumor cells on the efficacy of chemodynamic therapy (CDT), zeolitic imidazolate framework-8 (ZIF-8) loaded with disulfiram (DSF) and 3-amino-1,2,4-triazole (3-AT) was synthesized via a one-pot approach. Subsequently, hyaluronic acid (HA)-modified cupric peroxide (CuO2) was in-situ grown on its surface through biomineralization to construct a multifunctional copper-based nanozyme ADZCH (3-AT/DSF@ZIF-8@CuO2-HA). This nanoplatform disrupts the intratumoral H2O2 homeostasis, depletes GSH, and synchronously delivers DSF and Cu2+ via cascade catalysis, thereby enhancing CDT and sensitizing tumors to DSF-based chemotherapy. The results of physicochemical characterization indicated that ADZCH presented a uniform core-shell structure with favorable dispersibility. Its particle size and Zeta potential were 196.5 nm and −19.5 mV, respectively. It possessed a microporous structure with a specific surface area of 81.8600 m2/g, and demonstrated efficient loading capacity for DSF and 3-AT, achieving drug loading efficiencies of 5.91% and 45.07%, respectively. Moreover, ADZCH can continuously and slowly release drugs in an acidic environment and maintain good stability under diverse physiological conditions. In vitro functional assays verified that ADZCH catalytically generated H2O2 and hydroxyl radicals while concurrently depleting GSH in a concentration- and incubation time-dependent manner. Cellular uptake experiments showed that HA modification significantly improved the uptake of nanoparticles by 4T1 cells. Cytotoxicity tests showed that 80 μg/mL ADZCH had a significant cytotoxic effect on 4T1 cells but no significant toxicity on L929 cells. DCFH-DA probe detection indicated that ADZCH could significantly induce intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation, thereby enhancing CDT efficacy. Live/dead staining experiments showed that ADZCH efficiently induced apoptosis, with the proportion of dead cells reaching 94.74%, demonstrating its promising potential for anti-tumor applications. This study provides new research ideas and experimental basis for overcoming the tumor microenvironment barrier and enhancing the anti-tumor effect of CDT combined with chemotherapy.

Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2025;41(6):473-481
Objective:To explore and analyze the system development, application and evaluation of virtual simulation (VS) based clinical thinking system in midwifery education, and to provide reference for the research in this area. Methods:The scoping review guidelines published by the Joanna Briggs Institute was used as the methodological framework. Literature was searched from the domestic and international databases such as CNKI, Wanfang, PubMed, and Web of Science Core Collection, from the date of database construction to September 1, 2023. The literature was screened according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, and the included literature was statistically and analytically reviewed. Results:A total of 314 articles were retrieved, and 13 articles were finally included. The VS based clinical thinking system is in its infancy in midwifery education at home and abroad. In China, there is a lack of theoretical framework underpinned the system development. The content was limited to the care during labor and delivery and family planning, and virtual woman and multiply operation paths have not been adopted in the system development. Besides, research design of the studies was less rigid and the indicators were not specifically selected for clinical thinking. Conclusions:Current studies have preliminarily proved some positive effects of VS on midwifery clinical thinking. However, it is suggested that development of VS system needs to be underpinned by theoretical framework related to clinical thinking. Types of VS and its operation path need to be adopted according to learning contents and objectives, whilst learning content should be extended to the wider midwifery scope of practice. Improve intervention plans in application and evaluation, select specific high evaluation tools, and further explore the impact of virtual simulation technology on students′ clinical thinking ability in midwifery.
