Objective To systematically evaluate and synthesize the experience and coping process of bowel symptoms in patients after sphincter-preserving surgery for rectal cancer, and to provide the evidence for the subsequent development of bowel symptom management strategies. Methods A comprehensive search was conducted across the Pubmed,Cochrane Library,CINAHL,Embase,Web of Science,CNKI,Wanfang Database,VIP Database and CBM Database for qualitative studies on the experience of bowel symptoms in post-sphincter-preserving surgery patients with rectal cancer. The search period was from database inception to October 2024.The quality of the included literature was assessed according to the Australian Joanna Briggs Institute Center for Evidence-Based Health Care Quality Assessment Criteria for Qualitative Research, and the results were synthesized through the aggregative integration method. Results 14 studies were included, yielding 52 research findings, which were grouped into 10 subcategories and further synthesized into 4 results:the physical and psychological experiences of patients with bowel symptoms;the impact of bowel symptoms on patients'daily lives;coping styles for bowel symptoms in patients;facilitators of patients bowel symptom coping. Conclusion Bowel symptoms have significant negative impacts on the lives of patients following sphincter-preserving surgery for rectal cancer, and healthcare professionals should address these patients'needs by developing effective symptom management strategies and supporting patients in enhancing self-management abilities to improve quality of life.

In recent years, the prevalence of porcine infectious pleuropneumonia caused by Actinoba-cillus pleuropneumoniae(APP)has significantly increased in large-scale pig farms in China. The i-solation,identification,and biological characteristic testing of newly prevalent strains have impor-tant clinical significance. This study isolated four suspected APP strains(named XB2T-56,JMTLP-443,YD-THB-755,SYZJ-291)from lung samples of pig farms suspected of outbreaks of porcine infectious pleuropneumonia in Hubei Province. They were identified by PCR amplification, and multiplex PCR serological typing, the biological properties were tested by detecting the growth a-bility,hemolytic activity and biofilm forming ability. The drug resistance of the strains was ana-lyzed by drug sensitivity testing, and the virulence of one strain(XB2T-56)in mice and piglets was evaluated. The PCR identification result showed that all four clinical isolates were APP serotype 15 strains. These four strains grew slower than serotype 1 standard strains, had weaker hemolytic activity, but could form stronger biofilms. These strains are all less sensitive to cephalosporin,tylo-sin,sulfamethoxazole,and doxycycline, but sensitive to cefotaxime and enrofloxacin. The mice and piglet infection experiments showed that the isolated strain XB2T-56 has strong virulence.Artifi-cial intranasal infection causes acute death in piglets, with typical symptoms of pleuropneumonia in the lungs, and serotype 15 strains can be isolated from the lesion site. This study indicates that the APP serotype 15 strain has strong virulence, providing new date for the clinical epidemiological characteristics of APP.

Cyclic GMP-AMP synthase(cGAS)is a congenital immune sensor that can recognize cytoplasm abnormal dsDNA.By catalyzing the second messenger cyclic GMP-AMP(cGAMP)formation,it activates stimulator of interferon genes(STING),releases type Ⅰ interferon and inflammatory cytokines, activates the host immune response, and participates in cerebral ischemia reperfusion injury(CIRI)cascade reaction. This article reviews the research progress of the mechanism of cGAS-STING signaling pathway participation in CIRI,hoping to provide ideas for its treatment.

Objective:To explore the specific mechanism of Baijiesan on microangiogenesis of wound after perianal abscess in rats by regulating RAS signal pathway. Methods:A total of 72 SD rats were divided into control group, model group,Baijiesan group and Baijiesan+farnesylthiosalicylic acid(FTS)group, with 18 rats in each group.Cut off the whole layer of skin on the back of rats. The model group,Baijiesan group and Baijiesan+FTS group were treated with fecal supernatant, while the control group was treated with normal saline. After the successful establishment of the model,Baijiesan+FTS group were treated with Baijiesan and received in-traperitoneal injection of FTS,while Baijiesan group were treated with Baijiesan only. The back wound images of rats were taken after successful modeling(day 0),4 days,8 days and 12 days after treatment, and the wound healing rate was calculated. After 4 days,8 days and 12 days of treatment,6 rats in each group were randomly selected and killed, the new wound healing tissue was removed, and the blood of abdominal aorta of rats after treatment for 12 days was collected.Histopathological morphology of wound tissue was observed by HE and Masson staining.Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the number of microvessels.ELISA was used to detect serum inflammatory markers.RAS signal pathway and angiogenesis-related molecules were detected by qRT-PCR and Western blot. Results:Compared with control group, the wound healing rate of model group,Baijiesan group and Baijiesan+FTS group decreased at each time point(P<0.05),while the number of microvessels, the levels of TNF-α,IL-1β,IL-6,RAS and Raf-1,VEGF,VEGFR2 mRNA and protein,ERK1,ERK2 mRNA,p-MEK1/2,p-ERK1/2 protein expressions were increased(P<0.05).Compared with model group and Baijiesan+FTS group, the wound healing rate, the number of microvessels,RAS,Raf-1,VEGF,VEGFR2 mRNA and protein,ERK1,ERK2 mRNA,p-MEK1/2,p-ERK1/2 protein expressions were further increased in Baijiesan group(P<0.05),while the levels of TNF-α,IL-1β and IL-6 were decreased(P<0.05).Conclusion:Baijiesan can reduce the level of wound inflamma-tion after operation of perianal abscess, and may enhance the ability of wound angiogenesis and wound healing by promoting RAS signal pathway.

Objective:To investigate the current state of oral health knowledge, attitude and practice(KAP)of plateau military personnels and to analyze the disease condition, aiming to explore new strategies for enhancing oral health. Methods:A question-naire was developed to survey 500 individuals at high altitudes(≥3 000 m)and 500 at low altitudes(≤1 000 m)regarding their oral health KAP,with 100 subjects randomly selected from each group for oral examinations.Logistic regression analysis was ap-plied to examine the correlation between KAP and disease status.Based on these findings,a survey of the oral health needs of mili-tary personnels was conducted in conjunction with their KAP.And an innovative training system,"Perception-Comprehension-Inte-gration"(PCI),was established to improve the competencies of primary healthcare providers, with its effectiveness being evaluated. Results:The high altitude group had significantly lower rates of overall oral health awareness(53.61%),positive attitude(55.00%)and positive practice(40.29%)compared with the low altitude group(P<0.05);the incidence in high altitude group experiencing dental caries(73%),wedge-shaped defects(34%),pericoronitis(16%),gingival bleeding(74%),dental calculus(81%)and cheilitis(37%)were significantly higher than those in the low altitude group(P<0.05).There was a significant nega-tive correlation between KAP scores and disease prevalence. The subjects in both groups showed a substantial demand(exceeding 70%)for oral health. The innovative PCI training system has markedly strengthened the health personnel's compre-hensive preventive and health care capabilities.Conclu-sion:The oral health status of plateau military personnels is in dire need of enhancement. And the PCI training sys-tem is poised to serve as a novel approach to tackling this critical concern.
