bjective To analyze the growth trends of height and weight among primary and secondary school students, and explore the developmental characteristics and gender differences at different age groups, and to provide a scientific basis for adolescent health policy formulation. Methods Based on 675 175 health examination records of 227 978 students aged 6-17 years in Shiyan City from 2015 to 2024, a logistic growth model was employed to fit the curves of height and weight changes with age. Results From 2015 to 2024, height and weight showed steady increases across all age groups, exhibiting typical sigmoidal growth patterns. The growth rates varied across age groups: the younger age group (6-9 years) showed a moderate growth (annual height increase of 0.5-1.0 cm, weight increase of 0.03-0.06 kg/year), while the older age group (10-17 years) demonstrated a significant growth (annual height increase of 1.5-2.0 cm, weight increase of 0.22-0.38 kg/year). The growth rate curves displayed a unimodal distribution. The growth inflection points of male students occurred later than that of female students (height inflection point: 9.87 years for males vs. 8.98 years for females; weight inflection point: 10.70 years for males vs. 9.99 years for females). Female students experienced a more concentrated but shorter period of growth and development. The peak height growth rate was 7.40 cm/year at age 9 for females and 7.09 cm/year at age 10 for males, while the peak weight growth rate was 5.04 kg/year at age 10 for females and 5.27 kg/year at age 11 for males. Conclusion The physical development of primary and secondary school students in Shiyan City follows a logistic growth pattern, with significant gender differences and characteristics of adolescent growth spurts. Female students exhibit an earlier and more concentrated growth process.

Objective:To explore the correlation between elderly education and health status of elderly people in urban and rural areas.Methods:A cross-sectional survey was conducted from Jul 2024 to Dec 2024 involving 200 elderly people aged 60 and above in Shenyang.Among them,62 participated in elderly education and 138 did not.The psychological and health status of the two groups were evaluated using the Satisfaction with Life Scale(SWLS),Hamilton Anxiety and Depression Scale,Montreal Cognitive Assessment Scale,and a self-designed questionnaire on health status.Results:There were statistically significant differences in age,years of education,occupation(before retirement),living conditions,and residential location between the two groups(P＜0.05).There were statistically significant differences in life satisfaction,delayed recall ability,and occurrence of physical limitations between the two groups(P＜0.05).Conclusion:Conducting elderly education for the elderly population is of great significance in promoting their physical and mental health,promoting the construction of a positive aging concept,and establishing a comprehensive elderly health system.

Kallmann syndrome ( KS) is a rare disease and characteristic of an absence of puberty, infertility, and a defective sensation of smell (anosmia or hyposmia). Here, we analyze the features of a case of KS diagnosed clinically. In addition, the etiology, genetic features, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, and treatment of KS were reviewed.

Klinefelter syndrome(KS) is the most common sex chromosome disorder in males,which is caused by the presence of the extra X chromosome that maybe inherited from mother or father. Approximately 80% karyotype of the cases is 47,XXY. KS is characterized by small firm testes, hypergonadotropic hypogonadism, infertility,gynaecomastia, increased height. However, cognitive disabilities and psychiatric disorders are rarely diagnosed in KS because they lack screening in related aspects. At the present, the pathogenesis of cognitive disabilities and increased risk of psychiatric diseases in KS have not been delineated. In this article,we report two cases of KS,and review their clinical manifestations,diagnosis,and treatments.

Objective To explore the effect of nursing safety management in drawing blood in outpatient department. Methods A total of 152 cases of patients who had blood taken in outpatient department of Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Medical University from May 2016 to November 2016 were selected by purposive sampling method, and were divided into control and observation group with 76 cases in each according to the random number table. The control group was given routine outpatient transfusion nursing care. On the basis of that, the observation group strengthened nursing safety management. Patients' satisfaction and the incidence of adverse nursing events were compared between the two groups. Results Patients' satisfaction of observation group was 96.1%, significantly higher than that of the control group (85.5%) with statistical difference (χ2=5.035, P<0.05). There was no occurrence of adverse nursing events in the observation group and 5 cases in the control group, the difference was statistical significant (χ2=62.23, P< 0.05). Conclusions Nursing safety management can effectively improve the outpatient blood drawing patients' nursing satisfaction, and reduce the incidence ofadverse nursing events.

Objective To know the effects of psychological intervention on elder patients with coro-nary heart disease when combined with depression and anxiety. Methods Divided 73 elder patients with coronary heart disease into the control group(35 cases) and the psychological intervention group(38 cases) randomly. Routine treatment and nursing cares were used in the control group, while the psychological in-tervention group was used in the psychological intervention group in addition. Evaluated the mental status between the two groups by SAS and SDS at the beginning of the research and three weeks later. Time in hospital and general clinical medical effects were analyzed in the end of research. Results There were no significant difference between the two groups about SAS and SDS scores at the beginning, while the later scores in the control group were significant higher than those of in the psychological intervention group. The period in hospital in the control group was longer than in the intervention group, the general medical effects was bet-ter in the intervention group than in the control group. Coneinsions Psychological intervention for elder patients with coronary heart disease when combined with depression and anxiety is a kind of ef-fective mode, which can improve the medical effects.
