Chinese Journal of School Health 2026;47(1):27-31
Objective:
To investigate the factors influencing the co-prevalence of allergic rhinitis and obesity among primary and secondary school students in Inner Mongolia, so as to provide a data foundation and theoretical basis for developing targeted intervention measures.
Methods:
In September and October 2024, a stratified cluster random sampling method was employed to select 139 102 students from 539 schools across 12 leagues/cities and 103 banners/counties in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Participants who were diagnosed with allergic rhinitis by a doctor at least once within one year and had a body mass index ≥ 28 kg/m 2 were considered to have comorbid conditions.
Results:
The coprevalence rate of allergic rhinitis and obesity among primary and secondary school students in Inner Mongolia was 6.4% (8 931 cases). Lasso-Logistic regression revealed that nonboarding status, higher maternal education, consuming high protein foods ≥1 time daily, occasionally or never eating breakfast, engaging in moderate to vigorous physical activity for ≥60 minutes on fewer than half of holidays, and having been exposed to second hand smoke in person within the past seven days were associated with higher odds ratios for co-prevalence of allergic rhinitis and obesity( OR = 1.23 , 1.22-1.63, 1.20, 1.19, 1.38, 1.35); being female, higher grade level, residence in flag/county/district areas, non only child status, never having consumed a full glass of alcohol, non hypertensive status, and households without pets were associated with lower co-prevalence risks ( OR =0.65, 0.67-0.77, 0.81, 0.87, 0.73, 0.41, 0.68) (all P <0.05). The ROC curve indicated an area under the curve of 0.64 for the predictive model, demonstrating satisfactory discriminatory ability. The calibration curve showed consistency between predicted and actual occurrence probabilities.
Conclusions
The co-prevalence of allergic rhinitis and obesity among primary and secondary school students in Inner Mongolia is closely associated with demographic characteristics, dietary behaviours, and lifestyle habits. Future prevention and control strategies should prioritize these factors to implement targeted interventions.

Dry eye disease(DED)is a common ocular surface disorder worldwide, primarily characterized by a loss of homeostasis of the tear film, and frequently associated with meibomian gland dysfunction(MGD), decreased tear film stability, ocular discomfort, and visual impairment. In recent years, factors such as the widespread use of digital devices, the aging population, and environmental changes have contributed to a significant increase in its global prevalence, making it a major public health concern. Red light therapy(RLT), also known as low-level laser therapy(LLLT)or photobiomodulation(PBM), is a non-invasive treatment that utilizes low-energy red or near-infrared light to irradiate tissues. It exerts photobiomodulatory effects to promote cellular repair and functional recovery. This therapy has demonstrated considerable potential in treating various ocular conditions. Its broader clinical application could improve therapeutic outcomes, alleviate patient discomfort and financial burden, and reduce the consumption of healthcare resources, thereby yielding significant socio-economic benefits. This paper systematically reviews the multifaceted mechanisms and application prospects of RLT in managing DED, including its anti-inflammatory effects, improvement of meibomian gland function, promotion of conjunctival goblet cell repair, and alleviation of visual fatigue, aiming to provide a theoretical foundation and practical reference for its clinical adoption.

OBJECTIVE To further standardize the technical operations and management processes throughout therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM), clarify the clinical value of TDM implementation, improve the scientific validity and reliability of monitoring results, and provide a solid reference basis for the formulation and optimization of clinical individualized precision dosing regimens. METHODS The Guidelines for the Management of Therapeutic Drug Monitoring were formulated in accordance with the latest definition of guidelines by the Institute of Medicine of the National Academies and the standard guideline development methodology of the World Health Organization, and in compliance with the requirements of the appraisal of guidelines for research and evaluation. A modified Delphi method was adopted to establish the research question system; evidence-based medicine research methods were applied to systematically search multiple databases to screen the latest and most comprehensive evidence. Evidence was graded and evaluated based on the evidence grading system of the Chinese Evidence-Based Medicine Center, and the grading criteria for recommendation strength from the Oxford Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine were used to determine the recommendation strength. The recommendation opinions were formed through multidisciplinary expert consensus. RESULTS The Guidelines for the Management of Therapeutic Drug Monitoring cover four core modules, including TDM application indications, technical procedures, result interpretation and clinical application, and quality control, involving 18 primary research questions, 34 secondary research questions, and yield 82 recommendations. CONCLUSIONS The guidelines systematically standardize the key technical links and management requirements of the whole TDM process, provide scientific and operable standardized tools, help improve the standardization level of TDM work, promote the translation of monitoring results into clinical decision-making, and provide strong support for precision personalized medicine and ensuring the safety and rationality of medication use.

ObjectiveTo explore the expression levels of long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) H19 and microRNA-22-3p (miR-22-3p) in the serum of patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and their diagnostic value for AMI. MethodsA total of 176 AMI patients were selected as the experimental group and were divided into ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) group (n=95) and non-ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) group (n=81) based on their medical history and electrocardiogram. Meanwhile, 156 patients with negative angiography during the same period were selected as the control group (CON group). The relative expression levels of lncRNA H19 and miR-22-3p in the serum of the two groups were detected by real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction. The diagnostic value of miR-22-3p and lncRNA H19 in AMI was evaluated by receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) analysis. The levels of serum cardiac troponin I (cTnI), creatine kinase (CK), creatine kinase MB isoenzyme (CK-MB), and high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (CRP) were detected in all study subjects. Spearman correlation analyses were used to evaluate the correlations between lncRNA H19 and miR-22-3p and cTnI, CK, CK-MB and CRP. ResultsCompared with the control group, the expression level of lncRNA H19 was upregulated and the expression level of miR-22-3p was downregulated in the AMI group (all P<0.01); compared with the NSTEMI group, the expression level of lncRNA H19 was upregulated and the expression level of miR-22-3p was downregulated in the STEMI group (P<0.01). The areas under the ROC curves (AUC) for the diagnosis of AMI by miR-22-3p, lncRNA H19 and their combination were 0.555, 0.977, and 0.983, respectively. lncRNA H19 was positively correlated with cTnI, CK, CK-MB and CRP (P<0.05), and negatively correlated with left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) (P<0.001); miR-22-3p was negatively correlated with cTnI, CK and CRP, and positively correlated with LVEF (P<0.05). ConclusionThe expression level of lncRNA H19 is elevated and the expression level of miR-22-3p decreased in AMI patients, and their levels may have potential value as an auxiliary biomarker for AMI diagnosis and cardiac function assessment.

Purpose To investigate the clinical significance of Gasdermin B(GSDMB)in ovarian cancer and its relationship with immune infiltration, aiming to explore novel biomarkers for immunotherapy. Methods Gene expres-sion matrix, somatic mutations, somatic copy number alterations(SCNA),and clinical data were obtained from the The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)database.Copy number variation(CNV)analysis was performed using the GISTIC algorithm, and the CIBERSORT algorithm was applied to quantify the relative abundance of 22 immune cell types in the tumor microenvironment.Protein-protein interaction(PPI)network analysis was conducted to identify GSDMB-associ-ated interacting proteins.Additionally, multiplex immunofluorescence was used to verify the spatial distribution differ-ences of GSDMB protein in clinical ovarian cancer samples with different immune phenotypes and its interaction with immune cells. Results The expression level of the GSDMB gene was significantly higher in adjacent non-cancerous tissues than in tumor tissues(P<0.001).Patients with high GSDMB expression exhibited elevated levels of immune chemokines(such as CXCL9 and CXCL10,P<0.01)and tumor-killing lymphocytes(the proportion of CD8+T cell was significantly higher in the high-expression group than in the low-expression group,P<0.001).CNV analysis re-vealed that GSDMB copy number alterations significantly influenced immune cell infiltration:patients with GSDMB cop-y number amplification had decreased infiltration levels of CD4+T cells and dendritic cells(P<0.05),while those with deep deletion of GSDMB had significantly reduced infiltration levels of CD8+T cells and neutrophils(P<0.01).PPI network analysis indicated that GSDMB might interact with key immune molecules, including IL-37,IL-18BP,IL-33,and IL-2(Pearson correlation coefficient r>0.6,P<0.001).Multiplex immunofluorescence analysis demonstra-ted that tumors with high GSDMB expression were more likely to exhibit an immune-inflamed phenotype(52.6%),while tumors in the low-expression group were predominantly immune-desert type(47.3%).Immunotherapy cohort a-nalysis suggested that GSDMB could serve as a potential predictive biomarker for immunotherapy responsiveness, with high predictive efficacy in multiple immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy cohorts targeting PD-1,PD-L1,and CTLA4(AUC>0.8).Conclusion GSDMB plays a crucial role in reshaping the tumor microenvironment in ovarian cancer and may serve as a novel sensitizing target for immunotherapy.
