OBJECTIVE Analyze the nasal nitric oxide(NNO)of CRS children,and explore the clinical value of NNO in the diagnosis and treatment of CRS in children.METHODS CRS children diagnosed in the outpatient clinic were selected,and were divided into CRS with and without AR according to their allergen results.VAS score and NNO test were performed for them.Healthy children during the same period were selected as the control group.Finally their results were compared and analyzed.RESULTS The NNO of CRS children with and without AR were(193±62)ppb and(138±49)ppb,both lower than the control group's[(243±51)ppb];There were negative correlations between NNO and VAS scores in CRS children without AR before and after treatment;The NNO of CRS children with and without AR were significantly increased after treatment(P<0.05);NNO has high predictive value for diagnosing CRS children without AR(P<0.01).CONCLUSION The levels of NNO in different types of CRS were lower than normal,and CRS children without AR was lower than those with AR.NNO could assist in the diagnosis of CRS,dynamically reflect the severity of nasal inflammation,and help to distinguish the allergic status of CRS.

Objective To investigate the role of LncRNAs-MEG3 in the carcinogenesis and progression of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) and the possible molecular mechanism. Methods qRT-PCR was used to detect the content of MEG3 and miR-543 in NPC cells. Luciferase reporter method was used to study the relation between MEG3 and miR-543, and the changes of cell proliferation and apoptosis induced by MEG3 or KLF4 were analyzed. Western blot was used to detect the expression of KLF4, Bcl-2 and Bax proteins. Results Compared with the control group, the expression of miR-543 in NPC cell line was significantly increased (P < 0.05), while the expression of MEG3 was decreased (P < 0.05). Luciferase report and Western blot showed that MEG3 could regulate the expression of KLF4 by adsorbing miR-543 to inhibit cell proliferation, promote cell apoptosis and affect the expression levels of Bcl-2 and Bax proteins. Conclusion LncRNA-MEG3 could regulate the expression of KLF4 by adsorbing miR-543 and then plays a role in inhibiting the occurrence and development of NPC. It may be a new biomarker for NPC targeted therapy.

OBJECTIVE To observe and analyze the characteristics of tinnitus in perimenopausal women. METHODS To do sleep quality assessment, pure-tone test, tinnitus frequency and loudness match, tinnitus questionnaire investigation and FSH testfor 248 subjective tinnitus women with perimenopausal syndrome. RESULTS There was more single tinnitus than double tinnitus, the difference was statistically significant (P＜0. 05); The incidence of tinnitus on left and right ears was basically the same, the difference was not statistically significant;High frequency tinnitus accounted for 62. 73％, medium frequency was 2. 80％, low frequency was 34. 47％; There was no significant correlation between the frequency of tinnitus and hearing loss, There was no significant correlation between loudness and severity of tinnitus; Tinnitus THI loudness rating is mainly grade 2 and 3, accounting for 72. 18％, followed by gradel and grade 4, accounting for 24. 60％, grade 5 is very few, only 3. 22％; There was significant correlation between the FSH and severity of tinnitus, but there was no significant correlation between the FSH and loudness of tinnitus. The incidence of sleep disorders was 58. 06％. With the degree of tinnitus increased, the incidence of sleep disorders increased, and the degree of tinnitus was positively correlated with the quality of sleep. CONCLUSION The characteristics, etiology and pathogenesis of tinnitus in perimenopausal women are different from that of tinnitus happened in auditory system, mainly relate to FSH level. Otologists should pay attention to differential diagnosis, comprehensive analysis and treatment.

OBJECTIVE To investigate the effects of recombinant human epidermal growth factor (rhEGF) on wound healing of chronic sinusitis patients after functional endoscopic sinus surgery. METHODS A total of 110 patients with chronic sinusitis underwent functional endoscopic sinus surgery with both sides of their nose. The right side of their nasal cavity (control group) treated by nasal irrigation and steroid nasal spray, the left side of their nasal cavity (study group) treated by nasal irrigation and the nasal spray of steroid hormones and rhEGF. Surgical effect was evaluated under nasal endoscope at 2, 4, 12 and 24 weeks after surgery, while subjective symptom was evaluated depending on visual analogue scale (VAS). Both the score of endoscopic examination and VAS, also the rates of epithelization of the two groups were compared. RESULTS The score of endoscopic examination of the study group at 2 weeks after surgery was better than that of the control group, which had statistical significance, while the score of VAS had no statistical difference. The score of endoscopic examination and VAS, the rate of epithelization in study group at 4 and 12 weeks after surgery were better than those in control group, and the difference was statistically significant, but they were no statistical difference at 24 weeks after surgery. CONCLUSION The using of rhEGF nasal spray on chronic sinusitis patients with functional endoscopic sinus surgery can shorten the time of epithelization, improve the situation of nasal mucosa and patients' subjective symptoms, it is worthy of clinical application.
