Objective To study the therapeutic effect of Baihuang Ganning mixture on mice with cholestatic hepatitis model induced by α-naphthalene isothiocyanate(ANIT),and to explore the mechanism by which Baihuang Ganning mixture improves cholestatic hepatitis. Methods A cholestatic hepatitis model was established in mice by intragastric administration of ANIT(60 mg·kg-1).Sixty mice were randomly divided into six groups(n=10):normal control group, model control group, the ursodeoxycholic acid group, and the high, medium, and low-dose of Baihuang Ganning mixture groups.Parameters including bile flow rate, serum biochemical indices(ALT,AST,T-BiL,D-BiL,ALP and TBA),histopathological changes in liver tissue, hepatic biochemical markers(MDA,NO,Na+-K+-ATPase and SOD),and expression levels of TGF-β1,P-Smad2,and P-Smad3 were evaluated. Results Serum biochemical analysis revealed that, compared to the model control group, the high and medium-dose Baihuang Ganning mixture groups exhibited significant reductions in ALT,AST,T-BiL,D-BiL,ALP,and TBA levels(P<0.01),along with increased bile flow rate(P<0.01).No significant changes were observed in the low-dose group.Histopathological examination demonstrated that high and medium-dose Baihuang Ganning mixture markedly alleviated ANIT-induced bile duct injury, cholestasis, and hepatocyte injury.Compared to the ursodeoxycholic acid group, high and medium-dose Baihuang Ganning mixture significantly reduced hepatic MDA and NO levels, enhanced Na+-K+-ATPase and SOD activities(P<0.01),and downregulated the expression of TGF-β1,P-Smad2,and P-Smad3.Conclusions Baihuang Ganning mixture significantly improved ANIT-induced cholestatic hepatitis in mice.Baihuang Ganning mixture can regulate the metabolism of bile acids, inhibit the proliferation and activation of hepatic stellate cells(HSC)and the synthesis of collagen, and delay the occurrence of cholestatic hepatitis by inhibiting the expression levels of TGF-β1,P-Smad2 and P-Smad3 proteins.

"Chinese model" of organ donation and transplantation in China has won acclaims from all over the world. Current contradictions between unbalanced and inadequate development of organ donation and transplantation and surging public demands for transplant services remain serious. And an acute shortage of donated organs is still the greatest difficulty. Improving organ donation rate per million population (PMP) and organ utilization rate has been a great challenge for organ donation teams in China. This review summarized the relevant experiences of Second Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University in fostering organ donation culture atmosphere and connotation to accelerate the high-quality development of organ donation. It was intended to provide references for disciplined construction of other organ donation management teams and promote the development of organ donation and transplantation in China.

Objective:To evaluate the value of intraoperative magnetic resonance imaging (iMRI) combined with neuronavigation for the resection of insular gliomas. Methods:From August 2014 to October 2017 in the First Hospital Affiliated to Sun Yat-sen University, clinical data of 41 patients with insular glioma, who underwent the surgery assisted with 3.0T iMRI and neuronavigation, were analyzed retrospectively, and the resection extent, complications and prognosis were evaluated. Results:Subtotal tumor resection was achieved in 21 patients and partial resection was done in 20 after iMRI scanning. After further resection, total tumor resection was achieved in 16 patients, subtotal resection in 18 and partial resection in 7.There was a statistical significant difference in tumor resection between pre-iMRI and post-iMRI according to the Fisher test (P<0.05).In the follow-up from 3 months to 3 years, the symptoms of the 41 patients had improved. Conclusion:iMRI corrected the shift of brain.Neuronavigation can accurately and timely assess the degree of resecting tumor. The combination of neuronavigation with surgery can maximally and safely resect insular glioma.
