OBJECTIVES:
This study aimed to evaluate the effect of disc morphology and disc-condyle angle on the treatment of anterior repositioning splint (ARS) for anterior disc displacement with reduction (ADDwR).
METHODS:
On the basis of the inclusion and exclusion criteria, a total of 11 patients diagnosed with ADDwR were included. The effects of changes in disc length, thickness, and morphology classifications on the clinical symptoms, disc morphology parameters, and disc-condyle angles after ARS treatment were evaluated using magnetic resonance imaging and the Helkimo index.
RESULTS:
After ARS treatment, the Ai and Di of all patients with ADDwR decreased, the disc length increased, and the thickness decreased. The Ai of patients with slight ADDwR and those with type 1 joint discs was reduced to 0, with the most significant decrease observed in Di. The disc length of mild ADDwR (increased to 8.65 mm±1.79 mm) and type 5 disc (increased to 10.71 mm±2.62 mm) significantly increased the most. The disc thickness of slight ADDwR decreased to 3.08 mm±0.51 mm significantly.
CONCLUSIONS
The therapeutic effect of ARS is correlated with the displacement degree and morphological features of the disc, providing evidence for clinical treatment decisions.

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Yuganlong capsule combined with entecavir in treatment of liver fibrosis in patients with chronic hepatitis B cirrhosis. Methods A total of 57 cases of patients with chronic hepatitis B cirrhosis were randomly divided into treatment group(30 cases given entecavir) and control group(27 cases treated with Yuganlong capsule combined with entecavir).Fibroscan values, hepatic fibrosis indexes(HA,LN,C-Ⅳ,PC-Ⅲ),liver function index(ALT,AST,GGT,T-BiL),and ultrasonic imaging index(inner diameters of portal vein, thickness of spleen) were detected. Results Before treatment, all indicatorshad no significant differences between the two groups(P>0.05).After 96 weeks of treatment, the Fibroscan value,HA, LN,C-Ⅳ,ALT,AST and portal vein diameter were significantly reduced in the treatment group as compared with those before treatment(all P<0.05),and there were significant differences between the treatment group and the control group after the treatment (all P<0.05). Conclusion The effect of Yuganlong capsule combined with entecavir in the treatment of chronic hepatitis B liver cirrhosis is better than that of using entecavir alone to improve liver function and liver fibrosis.

Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effcacy with CT-guided percutaneous radiofrequency ablation(RFA)for the liver tumor. Methods 60 cases of patients with a total of 73 lesions were treated with radio-frequency ablation. The diameter of the lesions was 1.4~7.0cm.with a mean diameter of 4.2cm.The therapeutic efficacy was evaluated with enhanced CT scanning and AFP.Results 45 patients of 60 cases with lesions were full damaged,no blood flow Was found on enhanced CT scans.39 patients with significantly increased blood-AFP before treatment were decreased significantly after treatment,Complications occured in 11 patients, including refractory hiccup (n=2),epidermal scald(n=3),intrahepatic hemorrhage(n=2)and hepatic abscess(n=1).Conclusion The radiofrequency ablation was simple and effective treatment of liver tumor. The effect could be similar to that of surgical resection.

Objective To investigate the method and clinical effect of interventional treatment on placenta increta. Methods Fifteen patients with placenta increta were treated interventionally through uterine artery.and Methotrexate 50-100 mg were superselectively infused. Then gel foam particulate or stripes were used for embolization of uterine artery. The therapeutic effect, prognosis and side effects were observed and analyzed. Results All patients underwent uterine artery embolization (UAE) .One week after UAE,curettage was successfully performed. No heavily hemorrhage nor hysterectomy occurred. Conclusion Transcatheter uterine artery intervention is simple, safe and effective with highly successful rate and has little side effects for the treatment of placenta increta.
