Health communication aims to improve public health attitudes and behaviors by propagating health information. It plays an important role in promoting public health literacy and "Healthy China Initiative". The basic theories of health communication include "7 W" and Theory of Planned Behavior. Clinicians with profound medical expertise and a wealth of clinical practice play key roles in the communication, and they hold an unparalleled advantage in health communication by delivering authoritative and trustworthy information to the public. The capacity of health communication among clinicians in the nation is determined by various factors including professional characteristics, policy support, dissemination platforms and pathways, time and effort. Meanwhile, some problems in the research on the health communication capacity of clinicians remain, such as lack of well-established motivation systems, limited dissemination pathways, and imperfect evaluation frameworks. In some regions of China, health communication performance has been considered as part of the professional title evaluation for clinical physicians. Medical institutions and universities have also initiated relevant training and practice programs. It is crucial to improve evaluation frameworks, strengthen training pathways and effectiveness assessment, promote interdisciplinary integration, and enhance the role of clinicians in health communication in the future.

Alzheimer's disease(AD)is a typical progressive neurodegenerative disease, mainly manifesting as severe cognitive dysfunction, and involving memory, thought processes, and emotion. The kynurenine pathway(KP)is one of the main metabolic pathways of tryptophan, which can be divided into neurotoxicity and neuroprotective branches.Increasing evidence has suggested that KP is involved in the pathogenesis of AD.This review considers the role of KP in the pathogenesis of AD,with reference to the relevant literature on KP interventions in AD in the PubMed database. The result will provide an important reference for the use of KP as a target for AD drug development.

Objective To analyze risk factors for sleep disorders in patients with chronic heart failure(CHF)and construct a nomogram prediction model. Methods Using simple random sampling,306 hospital-ized CHF patients meeting inclusion criteria were enrolled from four Grade A tertiary hospitals in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region(two in Nanning, one each in Yulin and Guilin)between March 2023 and March 2024.LASSO regression analysis was initially employed for variable screening, followed by logistic regression to identify predictive variables for constructing the nomogram model.Model validation and performance evalua-tion were conducted using receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves, calibration curves, and clinical decision curves, with internal validation performed through Bootstrap resampling(1 000 iterations). Results The incidence of sleep disorders among the 306 patients was 57.5%(176/306).Logistic regression analysis identified eight independent risk factors for sleep disorders in CHF patients(P<0.05):age,education level, monthly house-hold income per capita,NYHA cardiac function classification, number of comorbidities, triglyceride levels,ano-rexia,and anxiety. The model demonstrated good discrimination for the AUC of 0.91(95%CI:0.77-0.88)and calibration consistency. Conclusion The prediction model established in this study shows good predictive performance, serving as a valuable reference for healthcare providers to early identify sleep disorders and im-plement preventive care strategies in patients with CHF.

Objective To observe the effect of high-dose leucovorin(LV)plus 5-fluorouracil(5-Fu)for 48hours infusion in combination with cisplatin(DDP)in treatment of advanced esophageal cancer. Methods Pathological diagnosis of esophageal cancer 60 cases were randomly divided into treatment group of 30 patients, using DDP 25mg/m2 intravenous infusion 30 minutes,d1~3,LV 200mg/m2 intravenous infusion 2 hours,5-Fu 0.5 intravenous injection 10 minutes, and 5-Fu 2.5/m2,continuous infusion with the infusion pump for 48 hours every 21 days,2 cycles of assessment of efficacy.Control group of 30 patients, using DDP 25mg/m2 intravenous infusion 30 minutes,d1~3,LV 60mg/m2 intravenously two hours,d1~5,5-Fu 500mg/m2 intravenously 8 hours every 21 days,2 cycles of assessment of efficacy. Results Short-term effect, treatment group, complete remission(CR)1 patient and partial remission(PR)15 cases,stable(SD)9 cases,progress(PD)5 cases, the total effective rate of CR + PR53.3%(16/30).Control group,PR 11 patients,SD 11 cases,PD 8 cases,no cases of PR,the total effective rate 36.7 %(11/30).Nausea,vomiting,oral mucositis, bone marrow suppression, diarrhea and hair loss were the main adverse reactions. Two groups are able to withstand, without any Ⅳ toxicities, myelosuppression was significant in control group than the treatment group. Conclusion High-dose LV + 5-Fu 48 hours infusion combined platinum-term efficacy in treatment of advanced esophageal cancer compared with conventional DF program is good, less adverse reactions, should further expand the study.
