ObjectiveTo study the mechanism of Huanglian Jiedutang （HLJDT） in treating mice with atherosclerosis （AS） by improving ferroptosis. MethodsA total of 10 SPF C57BL/6J mice were selected as a normal group， and 50 ApoE^-/- mice were randomly divided into five groups： model group， low-dose group of HLJDT， medium-dose group of HLJDT， high-dose group of HLJDT， and atorvastatin （ATV） group. ApoE^-/- mice were fed a high-fat diet for eight weeks to establish the AS model， and at the 9th week， they were given normal saline， low， medium， and high doses of HLJDT （3.9， 7.8， 15.6 g·kg^-1·d^-1）， and atorvastatin calcium tablets （0.01 g·kg^-1·d^-1）， respectively， for a total of eight weeks. The formation of aortic plaque in mice was observed by gross oil red O staining and Masson staining. The levels of total cholesterol （TC）， low-density lipoprotein cholesterol （LDL-C）， triglyceride （TG）， and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol （HDL-C） in blood fat were measured by the automatic biochemical analyzer， and the mitochondrial structure of the aorta was observed by transmission electron microscopy. The content of serum superoxide dismutase （SOD） in serum was detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay （ELISA）. The content of reduced glutathione （GSH） in serum was detected by the microplate method， and that of malondialdehyde （MDA） in serum was detected by the TBA method. The protein expression of nuclear factor E₂-associated factor 2 （Nrf2）/glutathione peroxidase 4 （GPX4） signaling pathway was detected by Western blot. ResultsCompared with those of the normal group， the contents of TC， LDL-C， TG， HDL-C， and MDA in the serum and the aortic vascular plaque deposition of the model group were significantly increased （P<0.01）， while the expression levels of SOD and GSH in serum， as well as Nrf2， solute carrier family 7 member 11 （SLC7A11）， and GPX4 in aorta were significantly decreased （P<0.01）. Mice in the model group appeared mitochondrial fragmentation and vacuolation in the aorta， volume atrophy， mitochondrial crista reduction， or a loose and disorganized form. Compared with those in the model group， the aortic vascular plaque deposition was significantly decreased in the low-dose， medium-dose， and high-dose groups of HLJDT and ATV group， and the contents of serum TC， LDL-C， TG， and MDA in serum were significantly decreased （P<0.05， P<0.01）. The contents of serum SOD and GSH and the expression levels of Nrf2， SLC7A11， and GPX4 in the aorta were increased （P<0.05， P<0.01）， and the symptoms of aortic mitochondrial vacuolation were alleviated. The number of cristae was increased， and they were ordered neatly. ConclusionHLJDT can reduce aortic vascular plaque deposition， decrease blood lipid and MDA expression， increase SOD and GSH expression， and ameliorate the pathological changes of ferroptosis， the mechanism of which is related to the Nrf2/GPX4 signaling pathway.

Retinal vein occlusion(RVO)is often accompanied by macular edema(ME), which is the main cause of visual impairment in patients. From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine theory, the key pathogenesis lies in Qi stagnation and blood stasis, as well as internal retention of water and dampness, which is closely related to the dysfunction of internal organs such as liver depression and qi stagnation, spleen failure to function properly, and kidney deficiency with water retention. Although anti-vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)therapy has become the first-line treatment option for RVO-ME, some patients show a low response or no response to this therapy, resulting in recurrent ME. According to traditional Chinese medicine, such difficult-to-treat cases are often caused by long-term illness entering the meridians and the interplay of phlegm and blood stasis, or by deficiency of the body's vital energy and the lingering of pathogenic factors. Intervention should be carried out through therapeutic methods such as promoting blood circulation and diuresis, resolving phlegm and unblocking meridians, and strengthening the body's vital energy and eliminating pathogenic factors. At present, the pathogenesis of RVO-ME is not yet fully understood. Modern medicine believes that it may involve multiple factors such as retinal microstructure damage, abnormal blood flow and systemic diseases throughout the body, while traditional Chinese medicine emphasizes the overall connection between local lesions and the imbalance of Qi, blood, Yin and Yang throughout the body. This article systematically reviews the existing research achievements of traditional Chinese and Western medicine on RVO-ME, analyzes its possible high-risk factors, and provides a theoretical basis for formulating individualized treatment plans integrating the advantages of traditional Chinese and Western medicine for such patients.

Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of sodium hyaluronate gel in preventing adhesion after prophylactic enterostomy.Methods:One hundred and twenty four patients from 6 hospitals were enrolled in this prospective multi-center randomized controlled trial. Patients were randomized into the study group ( n=59) or the control group ( n=65).All patients underwent prophylactic enterostomy. Patients of study group received odium hyaluronate gel for adhesion-prevention,while those in control group did not receive any adhesion-prevention treatment. The incidence of moderate to severe adhesion around the incision in the stoma area were evalutated during stoma reduction surgery. Results:The incidence of moderate to severe adhesion around the incision in the stoma area was 6.3% in the study group, the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05) compared to that of the control group (32.6%). Conclusion:Sodium hyaluronate gel can safely and effectively reduce the incidence of moderate and severe adhesions after abdominal surgery.

Objective:To examine the expression of T-box5 (TBX5) in colorectal cancer tissues and its clinical significance, and explore the effects of TBX5 on the invasion and metastasis of colorectal cancer cells and its mechanism.Methods:The expressions of TBX5 in cancer and adjacent normal tissues were tested by immunohistochemistry (IHC), and the relationship between TBX5 and clinicopathological features and prognosis of colorectal cancer was analyzed. Real-time quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR) and western blot were used to detect the expressions of TBX5 in different colorectal cancer cell lines. TBX5 overexpression plasmid was constructed and transfected into human colorectal cancer cell line HT-29, and cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) was used to detect the activities of transfection HT-29 cells. Cell scratch test and Transwell assay were used to detect the migration and invasion abilities of cells, while RT-qPCR and western blot were used to detect the mRNA and protein expressions of PCNA, p21, p16, p27, MMP-2, MMP-7 and TIMP-1.Results:The positive rate of TBX5 protein in colorectal cancer tissues was 24.44% (22/90), significantly lower than 65.56% of adjacent normal tissues ( P<0.001). The expression of TBX5 was significantly related to lymph node metastasis, depth of invasion and nerve invasion ( P<0.05). The survival period of 22 patients with positive TBX5 expression was (60.2±2.4) months, better than (44.3±2.8) months of 68 patients with negative TBX5 expression ( P<0.05). Among human colon cancer cell lines of HT29, SW620, SW480, LOVO and HCT116, the expression of TBX5 in HT29 cells was the weakest. After transfection, the expression of TBX5 in transfection group was significantly higher than those in control group and blank group ( P=0.043 and P<0.001). Cell viability in transfection group was significantly lower than those in control group and blank group (both P<0.001). The ratio of cells in G 0/G 1 phase was increased ( P=0.009), while in G 2/M phase was decreased ( P<0.001). Cells′ abilities of migration and invasion in transfection group were also significantly decreased (both P<0.001). Overexpression of TBX5 downregulated the expressions of PCNA, MMP-2 and MMP-7, while upregulated the expressions of p21, p16, p27 ( P<0.05 for all). Objective: To investigate the diagnostic value of endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS), Fibroscan, acoustic radiation force impulse (ARFI), and aspartate aminotransferase-to-platelet ratio (APRI) and their combination for early stage liver cirrhosis. Methods: Three hundred and twenty-two hospitalized patients who had been diagnosed with chronic viral liver disease from March 2016 to April 2018 were included. According to the clinical diagnosis, patients were divided into chronic hepatitis and the early stage liver cirrhosis group (Child-Pugh A grade). All patients were examined by Fibroscan to detect liver stiffness measurement (LSM), ARFI to detect liver virtual touch tissue quantification (VTQ) value, esophagogastroduodenoscopy and EUS to detect esophagogastric varices, laboratory and imaging examination. The index of EUS, Fibroscan, ARFI, and APRI was analyzed and the regression model was established by binary logistic regression, and the diagnostic efficacy of the above index and regression model for early stage of cirrhosis was evaluated by the area under a receiver operating characteristic curve (AUROCs). Results: An early stage cirrhosis group had significantly higher detection rate with EUS (esophagogastric varices), Fibroscan (LSM), ARFI (VTQ) and APRI than chronic hepatitis group [76.7% vs. 10.7%, 10.4 (7.8, 17.3) vs. 6.1 (5.2, 8.4) kPa, 1.71(1.48, 2.07) m/s vs. 1.25(1.14, 1.43) m/s and 0.65 (0.38, 1.15) vs. 0.38(0.26, 0.62), respectively]. The corresponding chi-square test were 140.86, Z = -9.069, Z = -9.948 and Z = -5.764, respectively and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.01). The areas under the receiver operating characteristic curve and regression model were 0.830 (0.783 ~ 0.877), 0.793 (0.744 ~ 0.841), 0.821 (0.775 ~ 0.868), 0.686 (0.628 ~ 0.744) and 0.947 (0.925 ~ 0.969) for the diagnosis of early stage cirrhosis, respectively. Among them, the regression model of three indices (EUS, LSM and VTQ) had the largest AUROCs (0.947) and the corresponding sensitivity and specificity were 0.878 and 0.867, respectively. Conclusion The combination of EUS, LSM and ARFI had a superior diagnostic value for early stage liver cirrhosis, and may improve the diagnosis rate and reduce the misdiagnosis rate.

Objective To investigate the effects of cryptotanshinone and tanshinone Ⅱ A,two major monomer components of tanshinone,on the proliferation,differentiation and lipid synthesis of rat meibomian gland epithelial cells in vitro.Methods The eyelid meibomian gland tissue was isolated from 2-month-old SD rats and co-cultured with 3T3 trophoblasts for 5 days.Cryptotanshinone and tanshinone Ⅱ A were prepared with DMSO into different concentrations.The cells were grouped to 0.125 μmol/L,0.250 μmol/L,0.500 μmol/L,1.250 μmol/L and 2.500 μmol/L drug groups and treated for 48 hours,respectively.Only dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) was added in medium in the DMSO control group.The expressions of keratin 14 (K14) and p63 in frozen sections of meibomian gland tissue and clones of meibomian gland cells were detected by immunofluorescence.Real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR was used to assay the relative expression of K16,cell proliferation related antigen 67 (Ki67) and CCAAT enhancer binding protein α (C/EBPcα) in meibomian gland cell clones.Crystal violet staining and oil red staining were used to evaluate the colony formation rate and lipid synthesis of meibomian gland epithelial cells.Results Primary cultured meibomian gland cells were cloned on day 4-5 in vivo,and the cloning area was increased on day 7 after culture,p63 and K14 were positively expressed in clones.Compared with the DMSO control group,the relative expression levels of Ki67 mRNA were significantly elevated in the 0.500 μmol/L,1.250 μmol/L and 2.500 μmol/L cryptotanshinone groups (all at P ＜ 0.05).The relative expressions of Ki67 mRNA in the 0.500 μmol/L and 1.250 μmol/L tanshinone Ⅱ A groups were significantly higher than those in the DMSO control group (all at P＜0.05).No significant difference was found in the relative expression of K16 and C/EBPα mRNA among different concentrations of cryptotanshinone or tanshinone Ⅱ A group (all at P＞0.05).No lipid drop was found in the tarsal gland cell clones;however,the accumulation of lipid was seen in the cell clusters at the margin of the clones by oil red O staining.The average clone formation rate of tarsal gland cells in the 1.250 μ mol/L cryptotanshinone group was (2.55±0.20)％,which was significantly higher than (2.05±0.13)％ in the DMSO control group (t =4.379,P＜0.05).The average clone formation rate of tarsal gland cells in the 1.250 μmol/L tanshinone Ⅱ A group was (2.25±0.20)％,there was no significant difference between 1.250 μmol/L tanshinone Ⅱ A group and DMSO control group (t=1.616,P＞0.05).Conclusions Cryptotanshinone and tanshinone Ⅱ A promote the proliferation of meibomian gland epithelia cells,but play less impacts to lipid synthesis of meibomian gland epithelia cells in vitro.cryptotanshinone promote the clone tormation of meibomian gland epithelia cells.

OBJECTIVE: Providing a risk assessment method for the implementation of radiotherapy to identify possible risks in the implementation of the treatment process, and proposing measures to reduce or prevent these risks. METHODS: A multidisciplinary expert evaluation team was developed and the radiotherapy treatment process flow was drawn. Through the expert team, the failure mode analysis is carried out in each step of the flow chart. The results were summarized and the (risk priority ordinal) score was obtained, and the quantitative evaluation results of the whole process risk were obtained. RESULTS: One hundred and six failure modes were obtained, risk assessment of (20%) high risk failure model are 22 and severity (≥ 8) high risk failure model are 27. The reasons for the failures were man-made errors or hardware and software failures. CONCLUSIONS Failure mode and effect analysis can be used to evaluate the risk assessment of radiotherapy, and it provides a new solution for risk control in radiotherapy field.

Objective To analyze the history and present situation of international medical device with visualization softwareto provide references for medical device development in China.Methods CiteSpace visualization software was used to explore international literatures related to medical device from the aspects of yearly quantity,research direction,research organization,quoted literature and etc from 2005 to 2014.Results Medical device drew increasing attention from corresponding researchers,whose development depended on international cooperation.Medical device related closely to engineering and medicine,and had to paid attention to informatization and clinical requirements.Conclusion CiteSpace software is of great value for the study on medical device.

This paper introduces the concept of human error in medical devices during clinical application, the importance of human error research in medical device quality management has been discussed, the general flow of human error analysis in medical device based on the clinical use environment has been presented, which has great significance for prevention and reduction human errors caused by medical devices clinical use.
