The recurrence rate after resection of primary liver cancer is high. Adjuvant hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy (HAIC) after resection of primary liver cancer can effectively reduce the recurrence rate and improve the survival rate of patients, especially for primary liver cancer patients with microvascular invasion or portal vein tumor thrombus. However, there are still great controversies in the academic community about the specific implementation of postoperative HAIC technology, suitable groups and efficacy evaluation. Therefore, this article reviews the research progress of HAIC after hepatectomy in recent years, in order to provide a reference for clinical practice.
