Objective:To analyze the etiological characteristics of Clostridium ramosum DZS3717106 isolated from the blood of a patient with septic shock secondary to perianal abscess and the immunological characteristics of the patient. Methods:The isolate was subjected to morphological observation, mass spectrometry, antibiotic susceptibility testing, and 16S rRNA sequencing. Biochemical and cytological test results of the patient were collected. Flow cytometry was used to detect T cell subsets. Impacts of the virulence factors of the isolate on the host immune system were evaluated.Results:DZS3717106 was an anaerobic Clostridium with pleomorphic rod-shaped cells and spores. It was sensitive to penicillin G, piperacillin/tazobactam, and metronidazole, but resistant to clindamycin. It carried various virulence and resistance genes. The patient was immunocompromised with abnormal IL-6, IL-8, and IL-10 levels. Conclusions:Septic shock caused by Clostridium ramosum is rare, and more research is needed on the causes and epidemiology. DZS3717106 infection triggers over-activated inflammatory response in the patient, which may be closely related to the occurrence and development of septic shock.

Chinese Journal of Neurology 2021;54(3):263-266
This article reported a case of suppurative meningitis caused by Streptococcus suis infection. The patient is an old man who has been engaged in pig breeding. The common symptoms include fever, headache and disturbance of consciousness. According to the results of magnetic resonance imagine and cerebrospinal fluid examination, the patient was considered purulent meningitis caused by Streptococcus suis type 2. After treatment with penicillin anti-infection and dexamethasone inhibition of immune response, the symptoms improved significantly. Three weeks after the onset of the disease, hearing loss occurred, after six months of follow-up, serious hearing impairment was still left.

Objective:
To study the correlation between the blood routine indicators and CD4+ T, CD8+ T lymphocytes in AIDS patients without antiviral treatment, and to find a simple, cheap and effective monitoring indicator.
Methods:
A study of 333 AIDS patients without antiviral treatment was performed. The methods of regression analysis and other statistical methods were applied to research the correlation between WBC, W-SCC and CD4+ T, CD8+ T cell count among HIV/AIDS.
Results:
The rate of routine blood abnormalities among 333 HIV/AIDS patients was very high, the main test indicators within the reference range only accounted for 30.63%.The proportion of late diagnosis infected with HIV among women was higher than that of males.Significant correlations were observed between CD4+ Tcell count and WBC, W-SCC, W-LCC, RBC, HGB, PLT(

Journal of Modern Laboratory Medicine 2017;32(2):110-113
Objective To investigate the diagnostic values of human epididymis (HE4)in lung cancer. Methods 80 patients with lung cancer were the experimental group,30 patients with benign pulmonary disease were the benign control group, and 30 healthy people were healthy control group. The levels of carcinoma embryonic antigen (CEA),cytokeratin protein fragment 21-1 (CYFRA21-1),neuron specific enolase (NSE) and HE4 in serum were detected. Results The levels of CEA,NSE,CYFRA21-1 and HE4 in lung cancer patients were higher than those in both the benign control group and the healthy control group (P<0.05).The areas (AUC) under the receiver operating characteristic (ROC curve) were 0.870,0.818,0.746 and 0.897 for serum CEA,NSE,CYFRA21-1 and HE4 levels in diagnosis of lung cancer. The levels of CEA and HE4 were higher in patients with adenocarcinoma, the level of CYFRA21-1 was higher in patients with squamous cell carcinoma, the level of NSE was higher in patients with small cell lung cancer (SCLC) (P<0.05).The detections of CYFRA21-1 (AUC=1.000),CEA (AUC=0.727) and HE4 (AUC=0.622) in serum are favorable for the diagnosis of squamous cell carcinoma,The detections of serum CEA (AUC=0.954) and HE4 (AUC=0.944) levels are favorable for the diagnosis of adenocarcinoma, and the detections of NSE (AUC=0.876) was favorable for the diagnosis of SCLC (P<0.05).Conclusion The levels of CEA,NSE,CYFRA21-1 and HE4 in serum were abnormal in patients with lung cancer. The HE4 level in the patients was correlated with the pathological types and the metastasis of lung cancer. The detection of serum HE4 could be used in the diagnosis and evaluation of lung cancer.

OBJECTIVE To explore the clinical distribution characteristics and the drug-resistance of AmpC-producing Enterobacter cloacae in ICU. METHODS Seventy-eight strains of E. cloacae were isolated in ICU from Jan 2005 to Jan 2006 and antimicrocal sensitivities were determined by K-B method. RESULTS Among 78 E. cloacal strains derived from the lower respiratory tract and wound secretion,32 (41.0%) were AmpC producing and were sensitive to imipenem (96.9%) and merapenem (93.8%). CONCLUSIONS AmpC-producing E. cloacae is one of the main pathgens of nosocomial infection in ICU,imipenem and merapenem are the first choice to treat the infection.
