Aquaporin 5(AQP5)is a specific protein that can significantly increase the water permeability of cell membrane,partici-pate in the process of water secretion and absorption, maintain the balance of water molecules inside and outside the cell, and transport water across the membrane.Programmed cell death(PCD)is closely associated with the development and progression of Sj?gren's syn-drome(SS).AQP5 may influence the development and progression of SS by regulating the PCD mechanism. This article reviews the mo-lecular mechanisms of AQP5 in regulating the apoptosis, pyroptosis, autophagy, and ferroptosis of cells in recent years and discusses the potential influence of AQP5 on SS,in order to provide a theoretical basis for the clinical prevention and treatment of SS.

Sjogren's syndrome (SS) is a kind of connective tissue disease with high incidence and difficult to be treated, which belongs to the category of "dryness-arthralgia" in TCM. Xuanfu is a micro-concept of TCM, and is widely distributed and has the properties of "gateway" and "road", playing the role of circulating gas-liquid and operating spirit mechanism. Aquaporin (AQP) is a membrane-specific transmembrane protein that is widely distributed throughout the body and controls the movement of water, ions and gases in and out of cells. In recent years, the Xuanfu theory and AQP have played an important role in the etiology, pathogenesis, and treatment of SS. This article explored the etiology, pathogenesis, and treatment of SS by listing the correlation between Xuanfu and AQP in terms of structure and function, providing more theoretical basis for the application of Xuanfu theory in the treatment of SS.

Objective:Analyze the efficacy and safety of gastric peroral endoscopic myotomy (G-POEM) in the treatment of gastroptosis. Methods:From August 1, 2016 to August 1, 2020, at Zhongda Hospital, Southeast University, the baseline data of 14 patients with gastroptosis who underwent G-POEM were retrospectively collected, including age, weight, length of hospital stay, and modified gastroparesis cardinal symptom index(mGCSI). Regular follow-ups were made, and relevant data were recorded for comparative analysis. The main observation indicators were body weight and mGCSI. Friedman rank sum test and Bonferroni correction test were used for statistical analysis. Results:The age of 14 patients with gastroptosis was 50.0 years old(24.5 years old), the operations were successfully completed in all patients without any serious surgical complications, the time of hospital stay was 10.5 d (5.0 d), and all the postoperative follow-up time was >12 months. There were statistically significant differences in mGCSI and body weight between before operation and at 1st week, 1st month, 3rd month, 6th month, and 12th month after operation (1.94(1.19), 0.78(0.47), 0.36(0.19), 0.17(0.45), 0.13(0.57) and 0.29(0.50), 43.5 kg(5.8 kg), 43.5 kg(5.8 kg), 42.5 kg(7.1 kg), 43.5 kg(6.9 kg), 45.0 kg(8.0 kg) and 45.5 kg(7.5 kg); Z=42.78 and 34.28, both P<0.001). After Bonferroni correction in the pairwise comparison, there were statistically significant differences in the mGCSI of the 14 patients between before operation and at 1st month, 3rd month, 6th month, and 12th month after operation ( Z=4.09, 5.05, 5.00 and 4.14, P=0.001, <0.001, <0.001 and =0.001). The weight of 14 patients at 12th month after operation were compared with the weight before operation, 1st week after operation, and 1st month after operation, and the differences were statistically significant (all Z=-3.64, all P=0.004). Conclusion:G-POEM has a good therapeutic effect on patients with gastroptosis and is expected to become a new treatment for gastroptosis.

Objective To explore the correlation between human cytomegalovirus(HCMV) infection with infantile hepatitis syn‐drome(IHS) and hepatic function damage .Methods The real‐time fluorescent quantitative polymerase chain reaction(PCR) was a‐dopted to test the urine HCMV DNA in 236 infants with IHS and 236 healthy infants ,respectively .The hepatic functions in 254 in‐fants with HCMV infection were analyzed retrospectively .Results Among these 236 cases of IHS ,the positive rates of HCMV DNA in urine sample was 62 .7% (148/236) .The positive rates of HCMV DNA and HCMV IgM in the IHS group were significant‐ly higher than those in the control group with statistical difference(P< 0 .01) .The liver function indexes in 254 infants with HCMV infection showed that the serum concentrations of total bilirubin (TBIL ) ,gamma glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT ) ,total bile acid (TBA) ,aspartate aminotransferase(AST ) and alanine aminotransferase(ALT ) were higher than the normal reference ranges ,and the differences were statistically significant(P < 0 .01) .Conclusion The detection rate of HCMV infection is high among the in‐fants with IHS in Guangxi area and HCMV is an important pathogen of IHS .HCMV may lead to hepatic function damage .
